Good variety of sandwiches and the cakes were delicious and so fresh.Tina and her daughter were so lovely and the great service. What a hidden Gem. I didn't know it was there and had gone to look around the Photgraphic exhibition. It would have been rude not to stop for a pot of tea (with another pot of hot water) and a slice of chocolate fudge. Compleet surprise for me since I'd not been in the Museum for a decade or more. It's now clean, brightly lit and you can see the art deco windows and the gold on the Columns. But the real treat was the Tea, served on Royal Daulton China. A nice light blend of tea and about 3 cups from the pots. 100% give it a go. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely surroundings, to feed the soul as well as the stomach, friendly service, reasonable prices. I had a nice flavourful pot of tea, served with exquisitely pretty china. What let it down? For some reason they chose to microwave my scone, so instead of a fluffy delight, it was a soggy mess and utterly revolting. Why, Tina? Why? Other customers seemed very happy with their food, though, so maybe I was just unlucky.

Booked a table for afternoon tea for 6 adults and a child in a high chair. The table was set out lovely. 2 huge teapots, porcelain tea cups & saucers for the adults and activities set out Infront of the child seat. Little cups of treats and sweets set out for my daughter. Cloth napkins and a lovely, thick cotton table cloth. Both teapots were filled with tea & hot water and refilled when we asked at no extra charge. The sandwiches were lovely. I think they used biscuit cutters to cut them into shapes. Fresh strawberries as a garnish on the stands. Pots of clotted cream and fresh jam for the scones. With little pastry treats and chocolate fancies on the top of the serving tears. I should have taken more photos but we're were all hungry and just dived in. A lovely place and we will definitely be back.

After debating various pub lunch/ restaurant venues in Bury I decided to bring my mum to Tina's tea room for afternoon tea on an extremely cold Saturday afternoon as a treat for her 84th birthday. I contacted Tina before the booking as my mum has a few food preferences, she was extremely helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. My mum loved the whole experience; the presentation was lovely (white tablecloths, china teacups and plates) and she was made a fuss of by Tina and her sister! It's some time since I visited the art gallery but wish I'd left more time to look round, its a beautiful building. And despite my apprehension about the weather it was cosy and warm inside.

Went to Tina's tea room for afternoon tea for me and my daughter. I had the gentleman's afternoon tea and my daughter had the children's. Tina was extremely friendly and accommodating, and asked for preferences before we arrived. The food was stunning and plenty of it. Tina gave us boxes to take away the food we didn't finish. The setting was lovely, and was decorated for Halloween. Highly recommended!

I arrived in Tina's Tea Room on a tour of Bury Art Museum. I had clearly not really understood the system and despite being a bit vague and generally getting it all wrong, Tina was helpful, patient and made one or two suggestions. A really good cup of tea is a thing of beauty. Appropriate to the surroundings my cup of tea at Tina's was a work of art. And not like Tracey Emin's dirty bed either - proper art! I really enjoyed my visit and would go out of my way to return. You should too.

We ordered a picnic lunch for 4 adults and 2 children - on the occasion of our son's 40th Birthday - due to Covid Restrictions we had it outside at the Country Park in Wakefield - well these lunches were absolutely fantastic - balanced freshly made scrummy picnic lunches. Everyone had more than enough in their boxes and got to take some of the cakes home for later (bonus) Value for money 12 out of 10 , variety 12 out 10 , tastiness again a whopping 12 out of 10 , never used Tina's Tearooms for picnic lunches but I highly recommend them and we will certainly be using this service over the summer season - they were delicious - cannot praise them enough Thank you so much Tina they were fab x

A lovely place to lunch - food freshly prepared - good variety - will certainly visit again. The only thing I would criticise is that when slicing a piece of cake from underneath a dome, the person serving put her fingers on the cake itself to place it on a plate.

You always get a warm welcome at Ground Up, the owner is friendly and approachable and this cafe always has a nice relaxed atmosphere. The coffee is excellent and the cakes are amongst the best in Bury. I've not tried any of the other food but some hot food is available and the toasties and sandwiches look good. They also have a pre-paid items board which you can contribute to for anyone in need of food or a hot drink without the means to pay, which I think it's a fantastic idea. It's a great cafe!
