We found the Tin Jug in Waltham last year and now it is our go to place for a coffe and a snack. Holly is super friendly and nothing is too much trouble for her. The food is freshly cooked to order and is always hot. They have a lotalty card and after 6 drinks you get a free drink. Nice clean premises with loads of character, defo reccomend.

Excellent service and excellent food. Holly is always very pleasant and professional. No complaints. Reasonably priced. Our favourite place for a coffee and snack/lunch in the area.

I went to this cafe in its early days and was so impressed with the beautiful home made cakes, excellent service and friendly atmosphere. This made todays visit even more disappointing. The selection of cakes were uninviting, the service was amateur and the place was unclean. The empty tables had not been cleared the stairs were in need of a hoover. The cakes came without serviettes and no milk with the coffee. Minor points but overall it all detracts from the experience. The staff were obviously in need of some customer training but that’s not their fault it’s management. Prices were good. Needless to say I will not be returning or recommending it to anyone.

Received a very good brownie and a lovely bottle of rhubarb and ginger gin for Valentine’s Day. Highly recommend!

We popped in here on the recommendation of a friend who lives locally, and decided on a breakfast visit. They only have one size which I found suited me fine, and everything was cooked exactly as requested. My wife had poached egg and beans on toast and was very complimentary towards the thickness of the toast and that it didn't go soggy (a pet hate of hers). Unfortunately on our second visit she wasn't as happy, and left most of the toast because it had gone soggy. The bread was definitely not the same as our first visit and hopefully when we return it will be back to how we like it. My only other comment was that on our first visit the coffee was just about hot, but a request the next time to have it extra hot ended up with a perfect coffee.

From start to finish the staff was fantastic. I sorted out the night through fb for my friends birthday, they allowed us to swop the beer for gin so a pizza each and three g&t's for £12, bargin! There was loads of gins to choose from. Absolutely brilliant, only thing was i had no time to make a cake, so making it next week. Would recommend would go back, five stars, if you haven't been, you don't what your missing!

Just wandering around Waltham when I found this lovely cafe, very polite staff and clean &tidy with a very good choice of menu. If you are nearby any time pop in and chill.

Never tasted such a disgusting teacake, it was lathered in greasy butter that had melted. Didn't give me the choice of putting my own butter on my bread, it also tasted very doughy and yeasty. My grandson had 1 round of bread absolutely covered in jam with no butter, absolutely disgusted will never ever go back there again. 3 Great big drinks of orange juice, one sausage and bacon bun, 1 round of bread and jam, 1 awful disgusting teacake, i paid £13 for. I will never go back to this place, disgusting and the people were rude. Staff were invisible. Insufficient.

This is a tiny coffee shop / cafe in Waltham, they have upstairs and downstairs seating, you need to be fit to get upstairs as there is no banister ( I struggled I’ve had a recent knee replacement). They have all the usual sandwiches and coffees. We had hot chocolates and tea, the tea was very good but the hot chocolate cost the review a 5th star it was bland. The sausage sandwiches we had were excellent, we opted for “buns” and they were soft white and stuffed with delicious Lincolnshire sausages and red onion marmalade not only were they delicious but they were reasonably priced. Would recommend if you are in the area.

Just fancied a couple of cocktails on New Year's Eve. No problem with our request on seating. Lovely drinks as always. Pricey but I suppose you get what you pay for! Just love the atmosphere and friendly efficient staff.

Christmas lunch at the Kingsway with three generations of the family . Quite a challenge to satisfy all tastes but this was achieved with no complaints . Warmly greeted on arrival with a most imaginative menu to suit all tastes including those who want more than traditional fare . The food and service were excellent . It was particularly noticeable that most of the staff were regulars which helped the service go like a well oiled machine . Clearly considerable thought went into the planning of the day , with the objective of ensuring all guests enjoyed the occasion . A most successful , memorable day , and for that ALL the Kingsway staff involved should be congratulated . Well done and thank you !
