Tim Hortons in Cardiff

Great food and we do love the coffee with Timbits! Toilets arent great and you'll need to get the code from staff (it's not printed on the receipt). As it has 2 entrances - one from Queen St and one from the Mall...the atmosphere can seem a bit like a Fast food outlet, rather than a relaxing coffee shop. But this is a minor thing likely because its in the centre if Cardiff!

I bought meals and two coffees. The coffees had the option of cream and sweetener which was paid and pressed on the self service. Coffee came black, when I asked for what I ordered, the server (man) looked at me like I was stupid. I then was given a small cup of milk and I had to go find sweetners. As a Canadian who is a fan of Tim Hortons and frequently buys their coffee and food in Canada. I am disappointed at the cleanliness of the store on queen street Cardif and the clearly out of their depth staff. May not return hopefully some training is done.

Better than expected & a bigger menu than I thought. Free offers for kids on Saturdays as well as a number of different offers during the week . Double cheeseburger was excellent,full of flavour onions included in the filling & the lattice fries were superb with a barbecue dip. Drink included & it was less than £9 .

Great, fresh, hot brewed coffee. I had no idea Tim Hortons had brewed coffee, my 1st cup since leaving the states 6 months ago. The employee was friendly and courteous. I will definitely be returning, and highly recommend.

The only place to go if you want a hot coffee the French vanilla latte is amazing and going again and again

We are loyal to Tim Hortons. We had a double espresso and a Flat White. For some reason, the espresso tasted weird and not as usual. Shrikanth was professional and offered us a complimentary coffee and a few chicken nuggets as a gesture. He was so polite that we came back again the next day.

Really nice and cheap breakfast rolls here. The breakfast baps are spot on. Also staff are really nice and jolly.

Came in when it was VERY quiet, I mean we were the only orders being made. Made us wait a ridiculously long time for the food, forgot the bacon in one burger and the sauce in a wrap. The wrap was tiny, smaller than my hand with a paltry bit of lettuce and one chicken tender. The self order kiosks don't work, they never print receipts and there were loads of items they had sold out of that were on the screens, ordered it and then told we can't have it. Rude, incompetent staff who don't want to be there.

They only accept card. Horrible

A nice shop, with quite a variety of options, however the prices are very high for what is sold. The drinks especially, it's hard to justify spending the 4 to 5 pound they charge for most drinks, and even the bottles of water are £2.25. The timbits ordered were great though, however I'd say the wait was definitely longer than expected for the food ordered. Atmosphere is great, spacious and decorative. No space for queuing at the front, so it leads to a crowd of people standing there with little room.

Worst Tim Hortons I have ever been to. Cold, anaemic food and staff don't seem to care. Burnt muffins and under-cooked sausage patties, just a horrible combination.

The service was a bit impersonal, and the breakfast was just "okay". It wasn't too expensive though, and the coffee was good, which made up for it.

I love my Timmies fix. Best donuts (especially honey crullers and apple fritters) and always tasty and well priced.

This place is underrated and puts MC Donald's etc to shame. Step up in class leading to a better environment, quality of food, and service over similar competitors all for the same value if not better. Can't understand why we don't have more of these. Would visit here everyday if we had more branches out side of the city centre.

Placed two take-out orders today, and neither was given correctly. The first order consisted of 20 timbits, they only gave 10. The second order consisted of two different cakes, they gave two of the same cake. The store wasn't busy, and these orders are fairly basic and were being handled by multiple staff (and placed via in-store machines, so definitely not a communication issue) so it boiled down to very poor service. The only bad experience of a Tim Horton's I've had (in the UK or Canada!)

Canadian here - always happy to find a timmies. However this location is absolutely filthy. Tables, chairs, floors. All of it.

First impressions last and my first impression was not great. I chose counter service as opposed to touch screen. After a few minutes of polite waiting with no-one in front of me, someone looked up and simply said "2 minutes". Nothing more. Finally served with no real greeting or acknowledgement. Coffee was made and just handed to me. I can accept wait times etc, but the whole experience was just cold and impersonal. The restaurant itself was comfortable and well lit. Music a little loud and not conducive to a relaxed environment. I dont like having to compete with background music when I want a quiet chat with friends. Coffee was good, but I won't be in a rush to return or recommend.

Burger was miserable making Mcdonald's look good. Lattice fries were nice but a bit cool rather than hot. Despite being relatively quiet, tables weren't cleaned properly and single bathroom was murky.

False advertising! They said the price on the menu has now gone up but it hasn’t been changed? Got my order completely wrong ended up paying more for less! Seems like he didn’t like the fact I told him straight about the false advertising.

I bought Timbits but the staffs refuse to make order due to my customised choice. They only chose what they didn’t want to me because they wanted to get it home!!! Those flavours I choose were still in stock!!! Their attitude was so rude when I asked why they couldn’t make order due to my choice and he just asked said he can’t with no reason.

Very disappointed with Tim Hortons in Cardiff especially after just experiencing a fabulous service in Canada. Restaurant toilets weren't working, seats were put in front of upper floor level to block access when we were sat up there which caused a fire safety risk. Service was terrible, over charged on a supposedly "free" drink, Timbits were tasteless & stale. Asked for cream of the hot choc and none. Altogether dreadful.

It's a good place for a snack and cuppa with friends if you're in town. Access isn't a problem if you have mobility issues as there aren't any steps to negotiate to enter. Good choice of snacks available but ordering is by their touch screen points. If you have difficulty with this then you can ask a member of staff for help. Hot drinks here are very good and better than restaurants BK and McDs.

We visited Tim Hortons Cardiff and were served by Roy, who gave us a fantastic service, and food was lush.

Inconsistent. On occasion, staff will completely get an order wrong, give the wrong number of Timbits / wrong flavours etc. to such extents that mistakes must instead be down to complete apathy to a customer’s order. Not had an issue with core hot drinks.

Food was really tasty although not very hot. Staff were rude and impatient and there was multiple things missing from our order we had to sort out

Often go here for a breakfast when I'm in the area, the big breakfast wrap and a coffee is a bargain at £3.49. Lots of seating and service is fast. The timbits are also good.

Great choice of hot and cold drinks and various donuts. Seating inside and toilets including disability toilet. However the lift was broken, but there is disability access from side door up a ramp so manageable.
