Friendly service and decent food. Shame that when we went back a second time for food the kitchen wasn’t open until half four.

We came for food and drinks and the staff were lovely and so welcoming, Will was top tier in making recommendations and was so helpful. Dan and a young man named Iuean were also lovely will definitely come back!!!!

One of our favourite bars in the city. Perfect for an afternoon people watching, chatting away and enjoying some drinks. It has been a starting bar on a pub crawl, a quiet afternoon tipple and a last stop on a boozy night. Fab pub with lovely staff!

really great atmosphere, the staff are lovely and welcoming. the food is great and the service is awesome. it’s not as expensive but the quality of food and drinks are amazing. cheers to the staff !! Danica, ieuan, will and adam served us amazing workers so helpful will definitely be coming again and bringing other friends here weekly haha!!

Sunday Roast was well prepared with a variety of components. The cut of meat however was not up to my standards.

Busy pub but can’t afford to go there again £9.25 for a pint of session IPA and half of lager shandy. Shocking. Not sure whether prices were inflated as it’s six nations rugby weekend.

The staff were fantastic and very very helpful, nothing was too much for them and they were very happy to assist us.

Visited before a gig at the Utilita Arena. The place was packed but the atmosphere and service were both great. Really good selection of beers which are reasonably priced. Great meeting place before gigs. Will be back soon to try the food!

Great atmosphere, went for after meeting drinks with a client, Danica & Amanda were very busy ensuring the bar was spotless, they were very polite & professional. We will definitely visit again soon.

Nothing better than visiting a great traditional pub, when it's full and the vjbe/atmosphere is electric with people enjoying a great night out. We had a drink and soaked up the atmosphere well worth a visit.

Went here with my hubby as we often do when in town centre and yet again loved it! Had food and you couldn’t fault it, lovely and tasty, value for money and piping hot! Delicious! Staff Dan&Will were amazing, very cheerful and polite as always. Worth a visit!

I have visited frequently and have always thoroughly enjoyed a drink (or 6) here. Staff member Alex in particular always gives a warm welcome when working on the bar and is always up for a chat. I always use this place as a starting point before a night out :) thoroughly recommend!!

What a lovely old traditional pub, right in the centre of Cardiff. Proper pub decor, really friendly staff and a superb pint of Brains SA Gold. Very popular so can get a bit crowded, but a great place for a great pint.

I had such a lovely time visiting the Duke of wellington pub. It was my first time in Cardiff and my experience in this pub was one of the highlights of my visit. Alex was very friendly and I had a lovely conversation with her, she even recommended some top places to visit in Cardiff during my stay!

The Duke of Wellington is one of the best pubs in Cardiff. It has a great vibe, friendly staff such as Alexandra and is also in a prime location in the centre of Cardiff. Food is also great quality and the facilities are comforting.

The Fish was amazing, Good Beers as well! Pet friendly 5/5. The brought our dog treats and water and gave him lots of love. Definitely recommend it.
