Tilgate Bakery in Crawley

Ordered platters of sandwiches for 50 people for a wake. Platters arrived at the agreed time all nicely boxed. Sandwiches and wraps were super fresh, tasty and enough for the 50 people and reasonably priced. Thanks very much to Jane and the Team. Highly recommended.

I was disappointed with the filling in the pastry and the staff were unwelcoming. They seemed irritated when I asked questions.

Ordered a buffet on Saturday for 35 people. Could not believe the quality and quantity of the food when it arrived. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for something special . The prices were very reasonable as well.

Tilgate bakery recently supplied the catering for a family funeral and were thoroughly professional from start to finish. The food and presentation was first class and everyone commented on the freshness, variety and presentation of the food. I would recommend Tilgate Bakery and will personally be using their services again.

A massive thanks to the team at Tilgate Bakery who provided our afternoon tea package for our wedding reception. The sandwiches, cakes and fruit were delicious and a hit with our guests. Whst communicating with the bakery, in particular Jane, we received prompt responses to any questions or queries we had in regards to our order.

We called a week in advance for catering for a wake. The original web enquiry went astray but when I called the quote was very quick and followed up by email very quickly. Our buffet was very reasonably priced and the team were happy to clarify details for us. The portions were very generous and a lot of variety. The cakes looked and tasted beautiful. We were also very impressed with the presentation, everything was delivered on pretty platters, stands and tubs, which the catering team will collect from us tomorrow. Highly recommend their catering options.

Visited today hoping to indulge but was disappointed. Ordered a sausage baguette but got a submarine soft roll, and indulged in very nice looking fresh cream doughnuts but they were very stale, the cream was ok but doughnut was like a biscuit, trouble is by the time you get home you dont want to have to go out again to take it all back. Both myself and my partner were very disappointed as we dont often give in to a treat.

I use tilgate bakery often throughout the year, today they delivered a wonderful birthday cake, they are always polite and punctual, the food is excellent quality, the delivery staff, very courteous and prompt. Thank you so very much.

Lovely little bakery! Right in the heart of Tilgate, this bakery is a true gem to Crawley, everything is always fresh in there and they always go the extra mile.

Tilgate Bakery operate the food and refreshments service at the People’s Pension Stadium. The staff are always friendly. Unfortunately I have a complaint about the bread rolls they use for their Hotdogs. These are always very dry and fall apart when eating. I get the impression that they use pre packed long life rolls that are not the product of Tilgate Bakery. A fresher bread roll would be very much appreciated.

This little bakery with a big heart, you'll feel right at home. Great food, absolute value for money.

Ordered some cupcakes for a party this weekend! There was a slight error, I wanted for one day but they were in fact closed that day so had to rearrange. Wasn’t an issue at all and the person I spoke to, Darren (I believe) couldn’t do enough for me. He even offered to come in on the day they were closed for me to collect but we managed to find a suitable time. The cakes were great, went down a treat! Tasted amazing and looked even better! Overall, great experience!

When asking if this bakery bakes their own bread, I was told that they do. However, after buying my lunch I was sat outside and saw their pre-made bread delivery come in. I was astonished to realize that they had lied to me. Even though this is only a small complaint, I would have preferred that I was told the truth about the source of their products. This makes me overall feel uneasy about trusting the bakery to cook my vegetarian food away from meats as I don't know where the food has been and I wouldn't trust the staff to tell me the truth. Overall, I just do not trust this establishment to cook my food without contamination.

Great bakery. The meat pies we’re fabulous reminded us of the pies in Aus, and good value. The sandwiches were made fresh and are made to order or are packaged and ready to go and eat. You can also eat at the bakery with a few chairs. Will make this a spot to visit each time we are back.

Mi único consejo es que la señorita detrás del hasta llegar a ser un poco más feliz. Una sonrisa vale mucho.

Great choice of cakes, baguettes, and hot food. Very friendly staff and fast service. Lovely to be able to sit out the front also.

Hice catering para mi boda (barbacoa). Nunca nunca nunca crítica significa siempre pero nunca hacer! Pero este lugar hizo que nuestra boda tan especial. Fueron tan amables y bien organizado. La comida era estupenda y un montón de todo lo que era razonable, y todo el mundo en la boda dijo cómo es que eran. Recomiendo encarecidamente a cualquiera que esté planeando un evento.

Una buena taza de té y el perro por £3.20. rollo No está mal. También ofrecen pasteles y sándwiches hechos antes, pero están perdiendo un truco aquí y debería servir sándwiches frescos y bollos hechos a la orden.

Good value bakery serving a lot of hot food, cakes, full breakfasts and sandwiches plus good range of coffee and tea.Friendly service and if you frequent regularly you can get a loyalty card which gives you a free drink. You can sit outside but be warned- you will be engulfed in other peoples smoke which is a shame as it lets the place down.

After a week working from home I really needed a treat. So off to Tilgate Bakery as I did not have much time for lunch, so an egg and bacon wholemeal baguette and cake, just what the doctor did not order , but delicious all the same.

Great food from this bakery two pies for two pound can not go wrong . The bread is great . Lots of people who are working in the area go their for food . If in tilgate with us a must try enjoy I do .

I needed a treat after a blood test so came here for a cake but wasn't expecting everything to look soo nice I ended up coming away with tuna and cucumber sandwich, choc ring donut, choc filled donut, cherry bakewell tart, Belgium bun and egg salad sarnie. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice it all was my tuna sarnie and the choc filled donut was better than greggs :)

This bakery was established in 2012, and serves a good range of hot and cold snacks, it is tucked in to the Tilgate Parade and is used by locals mainly. Rolls are available are of the baguette type in half and full size, with a really good selection of cakes.There are a few tables and chairs inside and more on the pavement in the summer.
