Tikka in South Lanarkshire

Specifically asked for the nan too be cooked more as the last one wasn't. needless to say this is paler than the last one!! WONT BE BACK.

Went in for a Donner pizza, you'd have thought I say a pizza with no cheese, hardly any , slices not even fully covered in cheese or toppings, Which is a shame cos the pizza base was nice but the Donner meat just scattered so some slices has lists, others only 1 or 2 bits, won't be back only nipped in for convenience

Ordered Egyptian kebab... No other meat other than donner. Mushroom pakora was solid and couldn't eat it.

Chicken was awful and brick hard but worse was apparently manager. Shouting down the phone at me. Never showing any people person skills and unbelievably refusing to give her name. Absolute disgrace

I absolutely love the chicken tikka here, plus their kebabs are great too. definitely my go to takeaway now!

Got donner kebab and when home the naan bread was rock hard and couldn’t even cut it. Don’t know if under new management but worst kebab I have had from there

Ordered the shashlik kebab and to say it was un edible is putting it lightly. Meat was crispy and tough couldn't even bite through it, chapati it was on was cold not cooked. Veg tasted like dishwater (seems from reviews it's a common flavour in most of there dishes) rank rotten please avoid don't waste your cash. Little tip tikkas don't put mushrooms in your kebabs no one else does that no one wants that just stick to the norm

Ordered a takeaway from Tikka's on Saturday night and although the food was nice I found the staff to be rude! Phoned in our order to collect and was taken by surprised when a staff member just said "Yes" not even a hello. Gave me order and then to my surprise didn't ask my name, how much it would be and how long the food would be to collect. Went down to pick it up about 20mins later. A member of staff gave me my food said how much it would be without even a please or thank you. As I said the food was nice but unfortunately Tikkka's I won't be back. Manners cost nothing and maybe you should think about sending the staff on a customer care course!!

First time ordering from Tikka's tonight, and I can definitely say it'll be the last.... Really disappointed with the food. The chips tasted horrible!.. and they where covered in a black dust (Which I think was in the oil they had been cooked in!) There was no taste to the kebab at all!. Everything went in the bin. I did phone them to tell them but they weren't interested.

I'm always wary of places selling curries alongside kebabs, pizza and every other type of fast food. Ordered a korma that was inedible due to tablespoons of sugar. And not an almond in sight. Chickpea Dal utterly tasteless, watery bland pointlessness. Rice was congealed and mushy; nan bread chewy and undercooked. Took 2hrs to deliver despite being 5 mins away. First and last time though everything about the place told me to stay away. We live and learn.

Quantity was fine but the chicken chaat didn't have any kick and the main course was bland and tasteless. Had food from here before and its been fine so was disappointed with this meal.

In the past I've had brilliant curries from this place, I haven't been there for about 18 months. Went tonight, everything was greasy, the meat tasted strange, the order was wrong. I think it's changed hands, I'll not be back.

Food is really nice but the service and waiting time for both collections and delivery are terrible.

The only kebab shop in East Kilbride worth going to. I have to drive past 4 other kebab shops from the other side of town to get a decent meal from Tikka's

Nice tasting curries and naan breads. However, one time I got home and realised my order was wrong. I called, went back to get the correct curry and was told to give them the curry I’d opened and tasted back because “well it’s not free”, in order to get my correct order. It was a bit rude and don’t think that gives a great impression.

Good meal deal price, large portions, tasty curries, pakora etc seems to stay crisp rather than going soggy, always been great each time we've ordered

Complete amateurs. Every-time they either forget about rice or Nan 🤦🏻‍♂️ pity cause their curries are great, but totally cannot take a basic order 🍛

Tikka's does a great kebab meal deal.

I ordered a large Cauliflower pakora with our meals, only to find that they had sent a regular portion but charged for a large portion. When I phoned them they said that was all the cauliflower pakora they had and they had told the driver to tell me and I could get a regular cauliflower pakora in its place then next time we ordered, which the driver didn't. What they should have done was phoned me and gave me the offer to change my order or have the pakora topped up with another pakora to fill the large box. The pakora tasted like it had been the last of the batch and had been lying around for a while, the worst I have ever tasted. When my father went in a few weeks later to get us a Kebab deal, he mentioned that we were owed a regular portion of cauliflower pakora which had been paid for. The chap serving dismissed it saying that he wasn't on that night even though he did not know which night it was. A clear lesson on how to permanently lose loyal customers for the sake of making a quick buck. Bye the way, their kebabs were well below the standard they used to be. I would suggest you always check your order before paying, if you decide to use them rather than the many better Indian takeaways in East Kilbride.

Not been for a while. Got a lamb tikka Chasni tonight and a hoggie. The hoggie was fine but the Chasni was unbelievably greasy. Changed big time since it was sold a year or 2 ago.

Very disapointed.This was my second mega kebab order in a month. How did they manage to get a medium size kebab into a mega size box, A feat of engineering. Not worth the money so wouldn't order again.Theres too many other take away Places to go to Pity, because the food was ok just not enough to call it a mega kebab.So stay clear if you're hungry and get caught out.Not enough food for one person.Im glad we got chips too.It was all kebab , not enough salad,sauce or chicken.A40 p service charge applied too.I wonder what it would have been if they filled the mega box.!!! Be warned!!

Absolutely rubbish, £30 for 3x chips n cheese for the kids, a mixed kebab that was tiny 3 bits of donner and 8 tiny pieces of tikka, spiced onions and popadoms Food was cold there was a fly in it, they wont answer my call when ive tried to call back besides it ringing for 3 min on 3 tries, Save your money go elsewhere.

Ordered our Friday night delivery on line last week. Site said 75 minutes and arrived within that. Had set meal for two and it was excellent. My hubby had lamb Rogan Josh & I had Chicken Tikka Bahar which was quite hot but full of flavour. Used Tikka’s regularly before and had read some recent poor reviews but our son recommended we give then another try after they had enjoyed their meal the week before. Very glad we did and will be ordering again from Tikka’s tonight! Thanks guys!

WE love this takeaway used at least once a week, the meal for one is great value. the veg pakora is always fresh the service is great definitely recommend.

We ordered a takeaway from Tikkas last weekend for collection. When we got home one of the main meals was missing. I called them and have to say I was impressed with how they handled it. Within 15 minutes the missing dish was delivered to us along with a bottle of coke! We had chicken pakora, spicy onions and poppadoms, chicken tikka, chicken tikka masala with rice and naan bread all the food was delicious and was quite a bit cheaper than other local Indian takeaways. I will be ordering again soon!

Ordered from Tikka's first time a couple of weeks ago and just about to order again tonight as it's the best curry we've tasted!

I’m not surprised to see so many critical reviews of Tikka’s. My first problem was trying to order online. After entering details of my order, I found that cash payment was the only option showing. I found no way of getting round this, so I decided to phone my order in so that I could pay by card. I wasn’t impressed by the phone manner of the man who answered, who seemed to be under pressure and was showing it. One item I asked for was a tandoori roti, which is exactly what the menu calls it. I asked three times for a tandoori roti and he didn’t have a clue what I was on about! I had to resort to saying tandoori chapati before he understood. I eventually managed to provide all details of my order, my address for delivery and my credit card despite having the distinct impression that someone wanted to end my call as soon as humanly possible. Over an hour later, just when I was about to ask them how much longer I would have to wait, they called me asking in quite an impatient tone why I hadn’t come in to collect my order! When my order was eventually delivered, I found that one item was missing. When I phoned to report this, I was told that I had never ordered that item. Which is strange because I distinctly remember being asked if I wanted salad with it! In fairness, the food delivered was fine but I would advise anyone phoning this place to insist that all details are repeated back and checked and checked again. Anything could go wrong!

Durante bastante tiempo he comprado mi producto semanal de Tikkas. En los últimos meses, ha ido cuesta abajo constantemente. La comida es bastante horrible ahora. Solía obtener una porción decente cuando ordenaba pakora, ahora la cantidad es bastante escasa y lo que obtienes es bastante pobre en calidad. La guinda del pastel fue hace unas semanas, cuando subí al auto con nuestro pedido, ¿vi una bolsa de ensalada? ? No había pedido nada que incluyera ensalada, así que entré. Me dijeron que no había cebollas condimentadas, así que las habían sustituido con ensalada. . . . . . popadoms con ensalada. . . . . . eh? No me dijiste esto cuando recogí mi pedido, y no me disculpé. Esto fue 5. 30 pm y sin cebollas condimentadas en una tienda india para llevar, bastante increíble. Solía haber un tipo siempre allí que parecía el dueño y parecía correr un barco apretado. Él no ha estado allí por algún tiempo, así que creo que la tienda posiblemente ha cambiado de manos y es por eso que tanto la comida como el servicio han pasado por alto. Ir a otro lado amigos

This has been the best kebab shop in the town for several years, although I've had a couple of meals that weren't as good as their usual standard.

Used to be great, now poor. Lamb tough and fatty. Curries with thin sauces, looks like mass produced and liquidised. Also portion sizes have reduced.

This take away used to be FANTASTIC it is now under new ownership and it’s AWFUL. My chicken tikka was burnt black on one side hardly any sauce in with it. I’ve given it 3 strikes since new owners and I won’t return. STAY AWAY FOLKS 😢

Under new management but as good as ever. Would say veg pakora was actually better than previous owners. Only one thing that annoyed us about our visit was the waiting time and general consensus of all who were in premises but peak time and staffing levels will probably be sorted out.

We use Tikkas quite a lot for their kebabs, last night we ordered as normal, not a complicated order but it seemed to take an age for my wife to make the order clear, almost 5 minutes on the phone for a couple of kebabs and chips. Hey so be it. Tikkas is literally 5 minutes from our house, after 1hr and 10 minutes and our order had not arrived my wife phoned to check to be told "it was out", 15 minutes later and I had had enough, phoned and told them to cancel I was not paying for this service, I was told and I quote "It is at you door", I told him to tell the driver to take it back I was not paying for it. 15, yes I repeat 15 minutes later the door goes and it is Tikkas delivery driver, I told him the saga and that we had told them to turn him around when he said "You phoned them, they just sent me out" Chancing bleeps! Tikkas you lost a customer

Phoned for delivery. First of all the card machine was STILL broken then trying to get the person to get our order right took about 15 minutes after eventually I got off the phone. Waited 1 hour 10 mins still no delivery! I phoned to ask where it was and was told it was out for delivery, waited another 20 minutes, still not delivered. My husband then phoned and told them to cancel the order and was told it was outside our door. Another 15 minutes later our delivery finally came. When my husband told the delivery man we had cancelled the order we were told he had only been sent out with it! Tikkas is literally 10 minutes from my flat. Dissapointed and won't be using this place again

Have used this take away since opening , quality and service has always been acceptable . The subject premises are frequently used by the pupils of Calderglen High at lunchtime my grandson being one of them , recently he said on asking “never again” the Pakora is like coal , so are they selling the kids sub standard food ? I telephoned on the evening of the 19/1 and ordered Portions of Pakora to be delivered , the delivery time was excellent however I wish I could say the same for the food , it was not particularly warm , and yes the Pakora was like bits of coal , there is a lack of care/ interest coming from the staff of this venue , prices are not particularly good therefore you would expect the food to be the best it is far from that , my advice shop around 3/10

Tikka's is my favourite carry-out curry place. There is a great menu to choose from or if you explain what you want, they are happy to oblige. Pleasant staff and never too long to wait for dishes being prepared. First class all round.

The best kebab in EK. Trust me, I have slowly worked my way around them all and now I wouldn't go anywhere else. Just a shame they don't do Pizzas.

We regularly have carry outs from the place. Their curries are constantly good we often buy an extra sauce as a base for our own "home made" curries and they are always delicious. I would recommend this place without hesitation.

We buy a meal out of here every weekend. Great food.

Gave them a fairly good order. I recieved extremely dry, hard and unedible chicken pakora that i wouldnt feed to a dug. The garlic nan was rock hard,burnt to a crisp and had more holes in it than a tramps clothes, not to mention you could smash a window way it. The rest of the meal was fine.

He estado en varias ocasiones a este punto cuando estoy en East Kilbride, pero el sábado fue nuestra peor experiencia. Compré una caja de munchie y si no viviera tan lejos de la tienda, me la habría llevado enseguida. Creo que, aparte del chapati que había en él, todo lo demás había sido recalentado. La comida era dura y sin sabor. Incluso las cebollas dentro de la pasta del anillo de cebolla eran frágiles. Las fichas fueron las peores que he tenido en cualquier tienda. Pakora era duro también, especialmente el pollo pakora. Estaba tan enojado y disgustado que, para colmo, me desperté enferma el domingo por la mañana y pensé que tendría que ir a A & E, estaba tan mal. Estoy esperando ahora que se confirme si fue intoxicación alimentaria. Nunca volveré a este Takeaway ni a ninguno de mis familiares que vivan en East Kilbride. 5 minutes from my house , so ideal location. placed order , which is about same price as other local takeaways. my order was a large order and said I would come back in if he motioned me at window when ready as I could then sit in car. he informed me he would bring it out to me. very nice!!now to the food , food was hot , it was feeding four people and we all said how lovely the food was . have been back to tikka twice since this , and food each time lovely, well done tikka!!!

Good takeaway however you may have to wait especially at the weekends but it is worth it as food always very good.

We regularly order meals from Tikkas and we've never been disappointed. The food is delicious and the set meal deals are great value for money .

Use this takeaway all the time. Food is excellent and despite being really busy they are very quick and efficient in service. Do not hesitate to come here! Have had both curry and kebab, both are excellent.

Sorry first to review this so called takeaway food was tasteless sodden in grease with a taste like wet dog that had been dipped in week old fryer oil eat at your taste bud peril
