Owner is such a nice fella! Lovely coffee and the cakes are to die for. Prices are good too. They also had an art and craft section which was great

Googled somewhere local for afternoon tea and this place came up top...so my partner phoned and was greeted by a lovely lady who booked us a table for a few hours time. Upon arrival she was just as welcoming, bright and cheerful. The afternoon tea was delicious and there was so much we ended up taking away the rest of it home in a box to enjoy later. Would 100% recommend you make the trip, enjoy!! Oh and it's dog friendly so you don't have to leave your fuzzy friend at home!

I was in Epworth and looking for somewhere for a bite to eat when I came across Tiggy’s Tea Room. It is so 60’s oldie worldie looking which is what attracted me to it. The owner was very cheerful and welcoming and willing to chat when she wasn’t busy. I decided on a coffee and panini and finished off with a fantastic fruit scone which came with butter, jam and cream. I will definitely visit again when I am in the area.

Lovely little tea-rooms. Went with my partner who loved it. Excellent vegetarian options, and amazing cakes!

I visited Tiggy’s Tea Room today, this afternoon when I was visiting Epworth. I tried a jam and cream scone which was very filling and a coffee ☕️ and also brought home two pieces of fruit cake. It was all beautiful and homemade, can’t wait to try it again.

Always lovely to visit here. It may be small in size but don’t let that put you off. Food is lovely, scones are amazing. The tea is loose leaf and served in beautiful vintage tea pots and crockery. Service is always with a smile with Amanda and nothing is too much trouble. Pricing is reasonable too. It’s dog friendly too which is lovely to see.

I have updated my review in 2021, because this place is very much deserves a 5 star from me & my family. Such a friendly and helpful staff, we visit this place most of the time on special occasions because it's so nice here. Highly recommended, but must book.

We took my mum for afternoon tea for her birthday, the food was amazing and the choice of cakes we had were second to non, The lady who served us was more than accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be visiting again

Great little spot, one of the best bacon sandwiches I had in a long time good choice for vegetarians; my partner had a cheese and tomato panini, made very welcomed by the owner would recommend … just of the M180 better than using the service station.

Lovely Caffe ,nice staff amazing food

We have just stopped in to Tiggy's as we were in the area. It's a loverly bright little place, not that big but a big friendly welcome from the owner. Had a great big pot of tea for two (loose leaf) and a jacket potato. I must say it was well received, very fresh salad and the potato cooked perfect and very pleased with the price! We will definitely be stopping here again when around the area. Ladies take care and see you again soon.

Not enough protection from Covid, need more hazmat suits. Edit: owner can't take critism and goes off on people on the review section. Does not understand that there is something called transport, that allows you to get to one place to another.

Slow service, took nearly 15 minutes for two coffees (no one else in shop). Poor tasting coffee, ended up binning it anyway. Ridiculously expensive for small portions of food (although the cakes are nice tasting they are very expensive). Better off going to other cafes in the town. People only go here because of a google advert, not because it’s any good. Really feels like the owner looks down on people, especially since the recent surge in popularity. Not a good environment and won’t be going again. (Would like to clarify I visited for coffees several weeks ago, and cakes/food even before that, I just haven’t got round to writing this review yet) Edit following owners response: I collected the coffees from your cafe and walked up to the park, this is where we tried it and disposed of it as it was poor quality. I have no affiliation to any other businesses in the isle, I am a university student home during lockdown, and have enjoyed visiting other cafes around the town with my elderly grandma. I didn’t post this straight away as I saw how you attacked other poor/negative reviews, and I did not want a similar response. I only decided to post this as it was my honest opinion that the service was slow, the coffee was poor tasting and I felt like the owner looked down on me. I would have been more than happy to come and discuss this in person, if you had asked me. Now I am reluctant due to your response claiming that I am lying. I am always honest with my reviews, as I want other people to be able to make a well informed decision about where they visit in our lovely town. I hope you consider how you respond to future negative reviews, as potential customers will see your replies. Perhaps if you hadn’t suggested I was lying about my visit and responded in a way that could have resolved the issue (e.g. I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your visit, perhaps you could pop in and we could discuss how we can improve our service in the future) I may have reconsidered using your services again. All you have done is attempt to shift the ‘blame’ onto an innocent bystander who was merely leaving an honest review.

Amazing little place, absolutely lovely staff and really good drinks and food, would recommend.

Bought as a gift. A lovely surprise. More than enough for 2 hungry people. Lovely selection of fresh sandwiches, fresh cream scones with jam and an array of delicious cakes. Highly recommended!

My family booked Tiggys Tea Room for my sisters bridal shower a while agoe. The owner was amazing, she opened especially for us on a Sunday and went out of her way to accommodate all of our needs. The food and tea was fantastic but what made it even better was the wonderful owner. Since then I have been back numerous times and enjoyed it every single time xxxx

Lovely Afternoon Tea ☺️ Had a gorgeous afternoon tea here with my mum. The place itself is very quaint and the lady who runs the tea room is so kind and friendly 🥰. The scones were delicious, as were the cakes and I loved the fact that we were able to choose which slice of cake we wanted as not all tea rooms give you a choice! My only slight criticism would be that some of the sandwiches were a bit chunky for my liking as I prefer more delicate finger sandwiches when having afternoon tea, however, they tasted delicious so can’t really complain 😁! Would definitely recommend Tiggy’s! The chocolate bar milkshakes looked amazing too! Might have to come back to sample one of those 😋 x

Afternoon tea for 4 people to take away. This place fully deserves it's place as the number 1 tearoom. Fantastic service...the staff really do care about their customers. Nothing is too much trouble. Food is fabulous. Cannot recommend highly enough

We were booked in at tiggys tea rooms but due to lockdown we had a takeaway cream teas recommend it there was plenty for everyone and her scones were absolutely mmmmm 🍰🧁

I visited Tiggy's last Saturday with my sister and friends, we had a delicious afternoon tea with sandwiches, crisps, scones, fruit cake, a variety of cakes and a big piece of white chocolate and raspberry cake. Coffee was good, nice and strong as I like it and Amanda served us all with a smile. Thanks Tiggy's x

I popped in with my daughter for some lunch and we wasn't disappointed. Quite a small place but the food was delicious. The cakes we took home were gorgeous too. Lovely owners and will be back soon x

My friend and I have visited Tiggy's twice now. Our first visit was for tea and cakes. The cake and cream were exceptional,and the servings are perfect. The lady who runs this place is very warm and friendly and nothing is too much for her. She appears very well liked judging by her response to people popping in,I noticed how welcoming she is to her regulars,which is lovely. On our second visit I had a bacon sandwich and a pot of tea. Again,nothing was too much and the food and service was excellent. I can't wait for my next visit. Thank you for a lovely bacon sandwich and friendly chit chat.

We were looking for somewhere to eat when we spotted Tiggys Tea Room. Pleased we did as the decor, the music, the friendly welcome, the cleanliness and the food were spot on. I had to leave early and leave my wife and daughter to sample the scones, cream and jam. No problem, they convinced me to return a week later and I was just as impressed. Small but lovely place to visit and would highly recommend and we will be back.

Went for cake. The milkshake comes in a martini glass so not suitable for children who knock them over too easily. I like the option of what sort of cream you can have with the cake. Only 3 tables so rather cosy. Service is great and no request is too much trouble

Nice panini , very friendly staff, however we waited over half an hour to be served a panini and a bacon sandwich and the pot of tea was not hot enough.

This was the first time we have been to tiggys ,and can I just say that it is situated the lovely village off epworth on the outskirts off donny.with it's outstanding frontage off pale blue ,it stands out in the high street .we entered the Tearooms with a big friendly welcome from the owner,decor in the Tearooms was very nice and bright with a 50s theme too it ,and with some good tunes playing to keep in the theme off the Tearooms as well.it is small and cosy in side to boot.Well might as well get down to the nitty and gritty about the food now then,now don't get me wrong everything was very nice from the sandwiches to the cakes and a good pot of tea was presented very well indeed,but we feel that there was too many cakes to sandwiches,and there was no salad option, just crisps,infact we left some cakes as we was full,but give credit she said we could take home anything we left,so we had the rest when we got home with a cup off tea ,very nice .we visit Tearooms round the area where we live and most off them do home baking , example scones, cakes,but overall very nice and if we are in the area we will make a second visit to tiggys and try other options on the menu .You have to pre-book the afternoon tea and pay a deposit of £5 , which is a first for me ,but she goes through the process of paying it ,no problems ,very good ,very polite indeed.So if you have read all my review about tiggys ,so get thee Sen darn to tiggys and enjoy the food See ya

We passed through Epworth and couldn't resist stopping in this afternoon to see if they were still serving food. Thankfully the owner was amazingly accommodating & friendly. Beautiful decor in the cafe, very pretty we loved it! The food was lovely we had soup and sandwiches very tasty. We'll be back & be telling our friends, thank you!

We moved to Epworth early this summer. Having not come far, we were already aware of some of the other eateries but only discovered Tiggies after moving here. This is not normally 'my type' of tea room - it is small and retro. However, after our first visit we were hooked. The owner is always so friendly (without being over-the-top) and takes a genuine interest in what is happening for you. The service is brilliant - never waiting long for your drinks etc. This weekend we sampled the paninis. I had Bacon, Brie and Cranberry and it was superb - large, moist, hot and tasty. I would also recommend the bacon sandwiches - if you like your bacon clean like me.

Loved the visit. So friendly and relaxing. It is so nice to be able to just sit there and not be rushed

I have recently taken my mum along to Tiggys Tea Room for a panini, tea and cake! The service was brilliant, service with a smile and the cake, well all I can say is YUM! (Chocolate orange!) We will 10000% be revisiting and would recommend to anyone who wants to escape for an hour or two, 50’s music quietly playing in the background, staff appropriately dressed for the ‘tea room’ theme and the loveliest tea set Iv seen for a while! What more could you want!

This is a little gem of a Tea Room, tiny but perfectly formed & very pretty. I had a friendly greeting with a lovely smile by the owner/manager who obviously loves what she does. The latte was good & the toffee cupcake very nice. I'll def be back...

Went to Tiggys Tearoom on Saturday for afternoon tea, after reading very good reviews. To say my sister and I were disappointed would be an understatement. I booked 3days in advance and paid a deposit.

I live in the same village and there is always a warm welcome here, whether a regular, like me, or a new customer. Amanda is very enthusiastic about her tea room and provides a varied selection of drinks and hot and cold food. Lovely friendly atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble and she serves up some tasty treats.

Went for afternoon tea on Saturday afternoon. The place is tiny only having 4 tables, we were the only people in the place apart from the man serving, so it lacked any atmosphere. We were conscious that any conversation we had could be heard. We received a warm greeting and shown to the table, explained that he would make the beverages and then prepare the afternoon tea. The sandwiches were mediocre at best, a wafer thin plastic ham, egg with salad cream, cream cheese and cucumber and grated cheddar and pickle. 2 served on sliced (dry) white, 2 on brown. A sultana scone each with a small butter, jam and whipped(not clotted) cream. It was the cakes that was most disappointing cup cakes from Aldi, caramel shortcake from Aldi and sponge slice covered in jam and coconut shop bought. We were offered an additional piece of cake, but the Choice was poor. We were asked if everything was ok, and we did comment that we were disappointed with the choice and the fact the cakes were all shop bought from Aldi. He explained that all the homemade cakes had sold out as they had been busy. We said it was poor value for money at £29 for 2. My sister did comment that we had pre-booked 4 days previously and had left a £10 deposit, so the fact they had run out of homemade cake was no excuse. He apologised for the fact we were disappointed, admitted that the cakes were bought from Aldi and said most people enjoyed them, but made no offer of a discount or voucher for a return visit. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with cake from Aldi, but I don’t go out for afternoon tea and expect to be served it at an extortionate mark up! In our opinion it was very poor value for money. There are at least another 3 tea shops in Epworth, as my sister has recently moved into the area I can definitely say we will not be visiting this tea shop again. When we passed the window of the tea shop a few doors down, afternoon tea was being served to some people sitting at a window table which looked way better quality.

Tiggys Tea Room in Epworth is well worth a visit for residents and visitors alike. There is always a friendly welcome. My husband always says he only wants a sandwich, which are freshly made to order but he usually succumbs to one of the home made cakes on offer. If you are visiting Epworth this vintage tea room is a must visit.

Had a busy day shopping & called in to Tiggys tea room, it was close to closing time was met by the owner very nice welcome . We ordered tea and scones they were absolutely delicious . The pot of proper tea with strainer was very refreshing .

My daughter bought My mother and I an Afternoon Tea voucher for my birthday. We had a wonderful time, with fresh sandwiches and lots and lots of cakes. Amanda and her assistant were very happy and helpful

After reading the great reviews of Tiggy's Tea Room on line, I booked a table for myself and 3 friends. Had the most amazing afternoon tea ever. It was truely yummy. The fruit cake was so fresh and moist. The scones were delicious. It was definitely worth the journey over from Nottinghamshire.

Visited Tiggy's Tea Room with my children for an after school treat. What a treat it was! We all had an icecream milkshake. My favourite was the Crunchie one. My daughter had a double decker one and my son had an Oreo one. Absolutely delicious. The raspberry and white chocolate cake was amazing. Such a cute little tea room. We will definitely be returning. Really friendly staff. The lady was great with my kids.The service was brilliant. Really enjoyed our visit.

Called before going shopping in epworth there were three of us we all had a sandwich we were all going to have cake as they all look great but after the lovely sandwiches we could not manage any we will definitely going back for some cake staff were very friendly and attentive

Having read the trip advisor reviews about gluten free cake we popped into Tiggys after a walk around the quaint town of Epworth. Sadly they had just sold the last piece of GF cake but had a small tasty brownie which I had with fresh cream. The tearoom is adorable with quaint teapots and perfect china cups and saucers, and the owner is a very friendly informative lady who made us both extremely welcome. We shall return.
