The nicest Thai food I have had in a long time. Good vibes and wonderful staff and atmosphere. Me and my partner had 6 small places between us that were all amazing, sticky rice and mango and 4 drinks and our bill was £92 with a 10% service charge that we were more than happy to pay for the great service we experienced from the staff👏🏻🙌🏻 highly recommend the steak wrapped in enoki mushrooms and the full packed gyozas 🤩

I have been coming here for over 20 years. Originally called Chilli Pot it is my go to place when in Liverpool for work. Lovely food and great choice. Looks quiet from road but big inside and always popular.

This was a 5 star experience for me. Took my mum here (she's not the easiest to please lol) and she loved it! Every dish was excellently cooked and seasoned and the portions were just right. My favourite would have to be the lamb chops and mango sticky rice pudding. Our waitress Kim was amazing; attentive, friendly and helpful, plus the other diners were all having the best time. Speaks volumes. I will definitely be returning soon!

This is one of our favourite city eats spots. Food is always fresh and delicious. Portions are not large but are priced accordingly, allowing you to sample 2 or 3 dishes for a reasonable price.

Having grown up in SE Asia this place has gotten everything right. This is hands down the best meal I've had in Liverpool

Great food and excellent service, especially from Aommy who always remembers my husband’s favourite wine and the food we like to eat. We have visited alone ( as a couple), with family and with friends and all have loved the food, atmosphere and service. We have also recommended the restaurant to others - including strangers we’ve met while out in Liverpool! Thanks Aommy for looking after us.

Food is on the expensive side for the small portion size, hence, you've to order 3/4 items to have a full meal. It was very quiet on Monday bank holiday and staff was polite but not really engaging. Overall okay but I won't be returning.

Stumbled upon the restaurant and we are happy we did. Impressed with the 2 for £12 lunch deal - they were rather small plates so we ordered 2 rounds which came to £26 all together. Definitely recommend the pad Thai and the soup. The restaurant itself had a nice interior and the staff were friendly and attentive. Student discount only applies to the normal menu, so would recommend to anyone wanting to try new Asian food for a decent price in liverpool.

We came for an overnight mid week stay to explore Liverpool. We stumbled across Tiger Rock en route to our hotel. Great place, super clean and stylish, a big menu with great small plates. Loved the beef rendang in particular, and the staff were very helpful and attentive.

Really busy on a Saturday night, chanced my arm as a solo diner and they were so friendly and accommodating. Every dish was absolutely delicious and immaculately presented. Really loved it and would highly recommend.

Just happened across Tiger Rock as we parked outside. So happy we did. We had the small plates which are 2 for £12. We decided to have 3 each and this proves to be a little over zealous and we were stuffed by the end of the meal. Every mouthful was delicious. Service was really quick and friendly and the restaurant is well decorated and immaculate. The photo shows my dishes, sweet and sour chicken wings, chilli garlic ribs and peanut satay chicken skewers plus my husband's shredded chilli beef but it doesn't show his chicken noodle coconut laksa mee or his beef curry with rice which were really generous portions. Will definitely be returning

Very poor customer service when we arrived. We asked to swap tables. Server was very rude and told us to vacate by 17.45pm. It seems it was too much trouble and cause an unpleasant atmosphere.

Very expensive to eat and watch for the service charge .service was slow .

As an Asian living in the UK, my expectation when it comes to asian food here is not that high. My friend recommended this place and when I checked on google and found that it’s a branch restaurant, my expectation wasn’t so high. We ordered Nasi goreng, mee goreng udang, and the chilli garlic squid. Every single dishes are mindblowingly beyond my expectation, almost like how it would taste like back home 🥰

We had lunch at the Tiger Rock on Monday. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and the soft Asian music was very pleasant and created a nice ambience. The menu also made an authentic impression and was very extensive. I chose the Goi Cuon with barbecued pork, Nasi Goreng and some Kelapa Kentangmanis as a side. Our food was served quickly, looked great and tasted very delicious. The mango sticky rice pudding and the apple spring rolls with coconut ice cream for dessert were absolutely fantastic and it was quite difficult to withstand the urge to order even more of it. Our waitress was attentive and particularly polite. I consider the prices to be in the upper range, but reasonable for the high quality and taste of the dishes. We had a really nice time here and will happily recommend this restaurant!

Excellent food with small plates for sharing

The service was very quick. We arrived half an hour before the restaurant closing time, but we felt very welcomed, and the dishes arrived shortly after. The food was good, I think two plates are enough for a person, and also allows for sharing with groups. The restaurant is great if you are looking for tasty food, with fast service.

Authentic S.E.A Food. Prices are great during lunch time for their average portion dishes.

We are regulars at Tiger Rock. This is one of our favourite restaurants in Liverpool! The food is incredible...everything on the menu is fantastic. The staff always look after us so well and we especially must thank Aommi who is always so friendly & attentive. The wine list is fab too. Thank you so much to all the staff....see you next week for our our usual fillet steak with ginger, Thai beef salad & Kuki wine! xx

Food was amazing! Came here with two friends on a work trip and we decided to share some small plates, as well as having one of the main bowls each. All the food was so good! Really well seasoned and I only wish we could have tried more on the menu. Service was great as well and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere.

Wow, what an incredible place. Food is absolutely incredible. If I lived local, I would come all the time. The sweet and sour were very good, a lot less artificial than takeaway version. And you can taste the grill on all the meat, which gives it a great flavour. Very very good.

Great Asian fusion restaurant. Varied menu with a fantastic selection of Asian "tapas". Great for sharing! Would recommend the fish dishes and salads!

We were looking for a place that offered a healthy lunch. Here we found what we were looking for. As a lunch deal you can get two small plates for £12. We both had Malay curry (probably beef) and steamed hake. Both were extremely tasty, aromatic, seasoned with fresh herbs and wholesome. Drink size is also appealing in relation to the price. The staff was friendly and willingly accepted the small complaint about the wrong drink and remedied it. A little more light would be nice in the lower area. I would go back at any time.

At long last, a decent Asian cuisine served in a great restaurant at very sensible prices and nearly everything on the menu is Gluten Free (or allergen free or can be adapted easily) and lots of choices. The Tiger Rock has 3 restaurants in Liverpool and I would have said will become a nations favorite if they expand (far better and cheaper than Wagamama's). They serve small portions about £8 each but 2 of these will fill most bellies! 3 was too many!

The 2 for £12 lunch was plenty each of us and all the four small plates were fresh, delicious and served very quickly. We shared most of the plates and we were so pleased with everything 🤩

I have been there after checking reviews but believe me the food is not really good and the service was really poor .The quantity of the food was not even enough for 1 person .I will not recommend this place to any one .Bad experience.

We booked a table for 2 for a Saturday afternoon and this particular Tiger Rock had been highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. We shared 6 dishes which was a little ambitious, but we were hungry and wanted to try as much as possible. After recommendations from our Waiter of their most popular dishes, we switched a couple and I'm so glad we did. Food, drinks, staff & layout all perfect and great value for money for a City Centre restaurant.

In Liverpool for a couple of nights with family and were staying in hotel across the road - decided last minute to go here - so glad we did - food and service were excellent. We were two couples and were hungry so thought 2 or 3 dishes each would be plenty - so much choice on the menu that we ended up ordering 14 dishes - I know 🤦‍♀️! Three or four dishes were brought out straightaway and the rest were brought out as they were cooked (not a long wait for anything) - each dish was lovely but the chilli beef and the lamb chops were winners for me - staff were very polite and when we are back in Liverpool we will definitely eat here again -all food and a bottle of wine was just over £140 - between four people we thought it was excellent value

Wonderful vegan options with great service.

This is one the best restaurants I have been to in Liverpool. The staff were very welcoming and nice from the moment we walked through the door. The menu has a variety of South East Asian dishes to please anyone’s taste including vegetarians. The portions are generous and the quality of food was exceptional. Would recommend to anyone!

Varied menu with a mix of small plates & small bowls. We were informed that the food would be brought out as soon as your particular dish was cooked not when all the dishes were ready. We were happy with this as it meant the food was as freshly cooked as it could be. Two each per couple is adequate. Food was excellent and we could not fault the service. Every table was taken so this is a popular restaurant.

Been here a few times, it's a complete lottery if the tapas dishes are nice or not. Overall I feel disappointed more often than not, even though I live Asian food, so I've stopped going.

Really kind servers and good food

Excellent range of dishes which you could mix and match. All 4 dishes we selected were delicious. Food and wine were very good value for money. Service was very good by efficient and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

I had heard great things about this place so had been really looking forward to it. Long story short, the flavour and quality of food was just not to the standard I expected, and we sampled 6 dishes between us. It was easily one of the worst crispy chilli beef dishes I have had, the soft shell crab didn't get eaten, the cocktail was awful and I couldn't drink it. For two people that aren't particularly fussy and love Thai food, this was so disappointing. Sadly, the dishes were ok at best, and coming to nearly £80 in total, we left feeling extremely disappointed and with a very bitter taste. I can see that other people have enjoyed themselves here, but I wouldn't be able to recommend it and I certainly won't be going back.

We loved the food here - every item came out of the kitchen very fresh and hot. I can thoroughly recommend the green Thai curry - simply delicious. This was the first time we had tried this restaurant and we were so impressed. We will definitely be returning. Excellent value for money considering the portion sizes.

We had a great afternoon meal which was so tasty and well cooked. The Malbec wine was very tasty. The staff were very helpful and polite. We will return if we are ever in the city again!

Popped here for a birthday lunch on a Monday, there were only 4 other tables occupied, despite this service was incredibly slow and we had to get the attention of the two waitresses to place our order, one seemed to be doing admin and the other just pottering behind the bar. The strawberry cocktail was delicious, the food was mixed, a beef noodle dish was outstanding, the other dishes weren't so great, the summer roles weren't the traditional Vietnamese we were used to and a little hard, the pork belly was dry other items including fish and phad thai were nice. Most disappointing was that after we'd paid the bill we heard another table querying their bill as the lunch offer hadn't been applied, we asked what the lunch offer was and were told there was a lunch offer of 2 for £12, when we took a look, all of our dishes were on there and we could have saved just under £20 on our bill but we weren't told about/showed the lunch menu. We would return as we love South Asian food and on the whole it was nice and clearly fresh but they clearly need to do some staff training both on the menus they offer and general customer service.

We love it here .. no , your food doesn’t come out in one lot as some complain but this is an authentic Thai restaurant. You sit , you drink , you socialise with your guests and you eat . It’s like a Thai tapas and if you get that then you’ll love it here . The food is brought to you as it’s made so sharing what comes is best.. and you get to try all the dishes too that way . The food is absolutely delicious. The staff are so pleasant and helpful . It’s definitely one of our favourites 🥰

My experience today at Tiger Rock Liverpool, North John Street, was perhaps the worst and most shameful. I was there with my co-workers and was the first to order food; honestly, I was not served until nearly everyone had finished eating. They started clearing the plates, but they did not serve me. I was so ashamed! Only God knows the reasons why they refused to serve me. Even my colleagues who came late were served, but they repeatedly asked me what I wanted to eat, although I had already told them what I wanted and still respected my order for them. I felt so embarrassed and shamefully left the restaurant to meet my managers, who had finished eating outside. Most of my co-workers even offered me their food instead, but I declined as I wanted to be served mine. My managers then insisted I collect the food because they had paid, but I refused because I had lost my appetite when they finally served it after others had finished eating. I will never visit Tiger Rock, North John Street again. BYE for Life!!!!

Second time here in the past few weeks. The food comes on small plates/bowls and doesn't look much but believe me when I tell you they are very filling. The food is so tasty and quality and presentation second to none. Once you've been once, you will be wanting to go again

Another incredible meal at this outstanding restaurant. Every dish was wonderful. Cocktails were superb. It was extremely busy, with every table taken and people queuing, yet the service was perfect and very friendly. Could not fault it!

Had this place on our to go to places for a while! Finally made our way down there and we are glad we did! We got a table without a reservation however by the time we left the restaurant was almost full and it was only a Monday night ! Might be worthwhile to book if going on a busy weekend or peak hours! Loved the tapas style as this way if you are sharing you can try more variety ! They recommend 2 to 3 dishes per person! We ordered 6 with a side salad to share between the 2 of us and were totally satisfied and full by the end of it! Hence couldn’t get a dessert maybe next time :) Enjoyed the dishes we ordered and also the staff is nice and friendly! Spoke to our server and she was from Thailand - brought back our memories from our trip to Phuket ! The crispy beef , duck spring rolls crispy with good filling, kimchi , crispy pork belly , nasi goreng and pad Thai were all delicious ! Ribs were nice, personally would have liked them to a tad bit more tender but the taste was good ! They do levy a 10 % service charge on the bill which they clearly mention on the bill which we were happy to pay as the service was great! Overall great atmosphere and experience ! Would definitely go back! They also have an outlet in renshaw street and smithdown road !

Been on my list for a while and finally managed to make it. Lovely atmosphere and table was comfortable. Didn't wait long at all to order and the food was amazing! There were 2 of us and we chose 2 small plates and 2 bowls and that was more than enough (with a pint of 'Tiger' as well of course). Food arrived quickly and was delicious. The right amount of flavour and we're a decent size too so could properly tuck in. Hands down the Wasabi steak was my favourite, cooked beautifully for a delicious taste..will be getting this again on my next visit. The staff kindly let me take a menu to mark off what we had so can try some different dishes next time. Seen complaints people were disappointed in the food. I've eaten in quite a few restaurants like thin and I have no complaints, will definitely be visiting again before too long.

Went to Tiger Rock last week. This is my 3rd visit. Very pleased with my orders, satay lembu, Indonesian nasi goreng, Tom Kha, Gyoza & Malaysian Nasi Lemak😋

I’ve eaten here previously and went today for their 40% off January offer. On arrival at 12, there was a closed sign on the door so we were stood outside in the cold and after about 10 minutes, a member of staff came and apologised...

No queue time on Saturday 6pm. Serving within 10 minutes upon ordering. Nasi lemak (coconit rice) was outstanding. We ate so many popular nasi lemak restaurants in London, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Liverpool, but this restaurant is the best so far. The sambal was so fine, no choking and pleasant to the throat. Peanut was nicely done. Intenstine of Anchovies was cleaned properly. Banana leaves were an added advantage and elevated the fragrance to a higher level. WOW. Price wise, here at £7.80 per packet. 5 stars Mee goreng (fried noodle) was excellent. All noodles were evenly fried. Eggs was fried perfectly and created synergy with the sauce. 7 large size prawns given were very generous. £8.80 per serving was value for money. 5 stars

Wow- fresh, sincere food served by chilled and happy staff. Lamb chops- unreal; squid- to die for; crispy pork spring rolls unlike any I have ever had! Fresh and beautiful papaya salad- toned down on the chilli at my request; wine good and very reasonable....

Mixed feelings about this restaurant. They were able to give us a table without booking which was great! Food was mixed, some dishes were really tasty and others not so much. The garlic chilli squid for example was rubbery and inedible, such a shame. The Thai salad was really tasty, and so was the crispy beef and coconut noodle soup. 2 dishes per person was a good amount, the dishes were a lot bigger than we were expecting! The restaurant was drafty and quite cold at times, and also smelled like cigarette smoke. I guess the door kept being left open. They also asked us to pay for our meal before the food came, but they didn’t for the couple sitting next to us. Bit bizarre!

Really great Thai food, the place was full when we arrived for a 7pm dinner, emptied a few and refilled. Must be doing something right.. although fair to say all diners were"westerners". Very tasty, good value.

The service is terrible, always mixing up the orders. We had to wait a long time to get food. The portions are quite small it barely fills. Not worth it

The staff is a bit weird to ask, "Are there any dishes I can take?" and "Are you ready to have the bill?" I made a reservation for the table and it stated I could stay until 21:00, the staff came to us just right after we finished the dessert, and it was just 20:23 at that time, I asked if they had another table booking so we may need to go as soon as possible, and they told us there's no any booking after, so why? The food is not that good compared to the Renshaw Street one, I may not come back again next time.

Very bad service! They talk behind me in Thai language thought that I don't understand them :( The staff told me three times that they need a table in this busy day, they asked me to finish the food early and go out (?) so weired! One of the staff even point at my finger with his pen just try to call me. So so so rude. Please becareful, they always complain customers in Thai language.
