As someone who has lived in Hong Kong for over 8 years now, I really started missing some local food that i hadnt had in a while due to being in the UK for exams. However when i came here the staff were incredibly sweet and very easy to talk to and i had some really good siu mai. Thank you for this :3 <33

Amazing food, reasonably priced and served very quickly. The staff were incredible with our daughter and had a high chair and table ready to go before we’d barely got through the door. I’d like to specifically mention Rachael as she was so hospitable and made us feel relaxed and welcome. This will definitely become a ‘local’ for us. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Yo, mi esposo y mi hija Freyja vinimos a cenar una noche. Tan pronto como entramos por la puerta nos recibieron cálidamente por el personal. Todo estaba preparado para nosotros, incluyendo una silla alta. Rachel uno de los miembros del personal nos dio toda la información que necesitábamos ya que no habíamos estado en este restaurante antes. Pedimos nuestra comida y en 10 minutos como máximo estaba allí en la mesa listo para comer. La comida estaba deliciosa, honestamente no podía fallar. La forma en que Rachel estaba con mi pequeña fue increíble, la llevó a ver al resto del personal y le dio galletas de gambas y ella fue increíble con ella. El resto del personal tampoco decepcionó. Siempre nos vigilan durante toda nuestra visita. Recomendaría este lugar a cualquiera que todo el personal es un crédito a la empresa! Si tuviera un restaurante contrataría al personal que nos atiende hoy.

The food was delicious, flavourful and perfect taste. The service was great, catered to everything. The staff were friendly and Rachel was lovely as she made sure we were comfortable throughout. It was our first visit and we will definitely go back. My kids loved the food, service was quick which was great as they were hungry and decent portions too. Would definitely recommend.

Staff are very friendly,especially Racheal has great hospitality and made sure everything was good :). A very long wait to get in and a long wait for food,but it’s worth it as the food is fresh and delicious.

Ate here for the first time a few weeks ago. Was having a day in Liverpool for our Anniversary & after a recommendation we decided to try & we weren’t disappointed. Lovely friendly staff but most of all lovely food. Good size portions. Will definitely be back & highly recommend.

I really think it tastes better than the tea restaurants in Hong Kong now👍🏽 We ordered the black pepper beef rice and Caiyuan beef rice, which has the flavor of old Hong Kong tea restaurants🫶🏽 You can reminisce about it when you stay in Hong Kong💪

Food was delicious with boss portion sizes! Big thanks to Rachel (one of the servers) who went above & beyond regular customer service, she was also a laugh when she stopped by the table to check on our food, and was mroe than helpful in recommending a take-out-bag because we'd ordered too much not anticipating the quantity of food! Would recommend and I'll be returning again

The atmosphere is great, it’s our first time here and we will definitely be coming back. The service was incredible, we had a lady called Rachel serve us our food and she made the experience 10x better, was super friendly and helpful! Food was 10/10 too.

They have a restaurant well located in the center of Liverpool and another not so central, with food that is well worth the price. Good amount of food that will leave you quite satisfied The classic Pad Thai noodle, highly recommended.

My wife and I had a lovely bottomless bunch at Maggie Fu this weekend. Food excellent - generous portion sizes, fresh and quick. Drinks we great too. Fantastic service from Rachel and her team made our visit extra special. We will be back soon for definite!

Walked in midweek lunch time no booking needed, restaurant looks great, got seen to straight away and our waitress Rachel was great from start to finish, starters must have arrived just 5 mins after ordering and tasted amazing, spicy Korean chicken wings were quality man. Also the Great Wall cocktail blew my head off, that’s a strong drink that but I recommend it as long as you’re not driving home after.

The food is so nice. Very fresh and come quick to your table, hot. The staff our great. I have been many times and have never had a bad experience. Highly recommend 👌

Me and my boyfriend had food here for our 8 year anniversary, it never fails! First time trying the char sui ramen - wow so good! All the staff are lovely, especially Saskia! Such a friendly, lovely girl thanks for a fab service :)

Amazing atmosphere, good location, quick service with piping hot food. Everything was spot on - tasty fresh and big portions. We had Katsu curry chicken, Shredded chicken in chilli sauce and sui mai - all 10/10. Rachel gave us super service special thanks to her.

I honestly love the food from maggie fu, the food is amazing quality, full of flavour, generous portion sizes and quite cheap for the amount of food you get. I did have a bad experience with the service around a year ago, so we decided to boycott smithdown and go the the maggie fu on hanover street. However me and my partner decided to go back a few months later on a whim and to our surprise the staff had been completely turned around and our experience was fantastic. There was one individual that really made us feel so welcome and made every effort to ensure everything was perfect with our meal. Rachel always makes us feel welcome even on her busiest day. Now we always go to smithdown and look forward to seeing Rachel and knowing our meal will be to our satisfaction. Give that girl a raise

2 hour wait on uber eats and the waitress blamed it on uber and told me she couldn’t be bothered. Disgraceful business with 0 regard for customers.

Over two and a half hours to deliver, kept updating the uber app saying still preparing food. food not to the same standard as previously ordered either. Ramen bowl sparse on veg. Arrived cold, despite being less that 10 mins from the restaurant. Never again

Quite a wait on food but it was worth it, really tasty and excellent value, the portions are huge. Highly recommend a visit to maggi fu on smithdown road, not just great food but the staff are just as good 👍

This place is amazing for high quality food that’s is consistently good and courteous & attentive staff. It compares to any of the high end restaurants we have visited in London and in Asia. Can’t wait to return.

My daughter lives nearby whilst at Liverpool Uni, so we always like to go for a FU when i visit her. Portions are enormous, dare you to eat a main and a starter, no chance. I personally love the three meat roast, very tasty. Staff are lovely especially Rachel who is a great host. Recommended

Some things are absolutely lovely the best I’ve had others fall short, I’ve had meals that I’ve ordered that were amazing and when ordered again either taste completely different or made of diffrent ingredients

Maggie Fu had been recommended online as an authentic oriental restaurant, however, the menu is somewhat scattered and offers only a glimpse of various oriental foods cuisines, but doesn't appear to specialise in any, which was reflected in a couple of average meals. The restaurant itself very much had the feel of a chain, rather than the independent restaurant it claims to be. I had the Nasi Goreng which appeared to be the same as a bowl of special fried rice, lacking any authentic or distinguishable flavour, whilst my partner had a Katsu Curry, with the feeling that there were many better options for this elsewhere. Maggie Fu is worth a miss and not somewhere I'd return to.

It was our first visit to MF Smithdown Road today for my husband and I. We was greeted by a lovely friendly hostess called Rachel. From seating us to helping us with the menu, she was very helpful and was spot on with her advice. The food was amazing and very generous portions . We will definitely be going back and recommending it to our friends Also value for money. Thanks again Rachel x

We ordered online with uber eats but they took a couple of hours and food was cold, phoned the next day and spoke to Rachel who was really helpful and sorted out our order. Brilliant customer service and great food

Lovely experience at Maggie Fu’s Greeted at the door & shown to a comfortable waiting area before being taken to our table just a few minutes later. Nice simple menu & ordering process at the bar. Appetisers The Prawn toast was excellent & salt & pepper ribs were very nice. Mains The three meat bowl was very tasty.. with all three meats soft juicy & flavoursome. The Salt & Pepper chicken bowl was a little bit underwhelming. Overall a good experience 4/5

From the food being collected to delivery was over 40 mins. Ordered salt and pepper prawns and crispy beef both with rice. Each meal came in a bowl all the sauces had go e I to the rice making the rice was big lump. Prawns were hard and crispy beef soggy and didn't look appetising. Ate in the restaurant many times and loved it but won't be ordering takeaway again.

I ordered the tofu pineapple on line and it was awful the tofu was rubbery and tasteless, and the rice was dry and lacked flavor, the best bit was the pineapple, as a vegan I was very disappointed. Will not buy from them again.

Absolutely second to none! The staff here are so attentive and the food is absolutely stunning. Myself and my husband loved everything we tried which was the chilli beef, mask goreng and gyoza duck and veg! There was so much food we needed to take lots home! Went for an evening meal as my son and friend said the food was delicious. Really impressed with the delicious food, generous portion size, attentive and general friendly staff. We will definitely be visiting again and I highly recommend.

Smithdown one- My partner and I order from here regularly via Uber eats and are never disappointed. It was my Birthday yesterday and I had my Mum and Dad over (77 and 78). They are not into take outs but through the week they were excited by the menu and we decided to do it via Uber Eats. To cut a long story short the food was never delivered, (they said it had been), the driver blocked me etc. I called Maggie Fu's close their closing time purely to ask them to send me a text/email to prove the driver had picked the order up. I knew this was the case as I was tracking the drivers car but had not screen shot etc. Both of the ladies I spoke to were amazing and without asking they were adamant they would deliver us some food even though they had already fulfilled the order (I was walking to our local chippy at this point!). Within 30 minutes it was with us- I can not thank them enough- my family were very happy as at this point they were really hungry and a bit disillusioned with it all. I have put a complaint into Uber and if refunded i'll pop the money into you through the week. Thank you so so much, amazing customer service.

I came here with my daughter today for lunch the food was excellent, ive never soon my daughter eat so much but the one thing better than the food was the service from Rachel, she made such a fuss of my daughter, it was lovely. Will definitely be back again with my daughter I might bring my husband and son because it was that good

Had a late lunch with my partner in Maggie Fu, Smithdown road 31.08.24. We made the trip from Wirral as the food here is fabulous. You get the biggest welcome from the staff who are attentive and knowledgeable about the food. A big shout out to our server Rachel who made our visit special. Try anything from the menu, you will not be disappointed.

We have previously ordered a takeaway which was special fried rice and enjoyed that. This time we ordered sweet & sour chicken with rice and Beef in black bean with rice. We were very disappointed that the sauce and rice was all put together in 1 takeaway bowl. It made the rice soaked in sauce. The beef in black bean was far too salty which I couldn't eat. We won't be ordering a takeaway from here again.

Arrived at Maggie Fu's in Liverpool, staff met by nice staff and seated us quickly. Food arrived quickly. Large portions, but food was way to salty. Ordered Salt & pepper chicken and just tasted like someone had just poured a load of salt on it and was so over powering. Same for the chips, far too much salt. Has put us off going again

My partner and I were looking for a place to eat and we decided to come to Maggie Fu after some good recommendations, we were not disappointed!! The food was absolutely delicious! Both had Ramen with a meaty broth that was so full of flavour!! The service was super quick, probably not even 15 minutes after ordering all of our food had arrived. All the staff were lovely, friendly and chatty, we spoke to Rachael who was very bubbly and kind, making sure we were okay and felt welcome. Even the drinks were lovely, my fiancé loved her rose!! We will be back again ! Would certainly recommend especially for a nice date night

First time visiting Maggie fu. Soon as we entered the server. Think her name is Rachel. Was really friendly as if she was our best mate. Really nice. Told us how to order. It was excellent. Salt and pepper Ribs. Meat spring rolls. Main course. 3 Meat with noodles. And chicken cashew yellow bean sauce. Rice. All of it was pipping hot. And really tasty. Definitely be returning. Nice quality and good service Parking can be limited in the area. Staff is friendly. Good if they sort out deliveries and make a proper waiting area for drivers so they deliver food in right temperature and good condition.
