This place not only treats its employees badly but treats them like slaves. The "owners" of this restaurant do not give you schedules. They also call you at 3 to tell you that "you have to work at 5 on your day off." I signed a paper and the owner lost it (she told me). When I asked for my contract, she told me that she didn't have one and that is illegal. later she told me that she had but she never wanted to send me a copy of my contract to my email. When 4 days had passed and they hadn't paid me, I asked them and their answer was "welcome to 2020" and then they told me that I was the rude one, because I wrote "are you gonna pay me?" . I repeat it is money that I worked, I did not ask that they give me anything. She blcked me and I had to call many times to she awake a answer to me.They also fired me because the restaurant closed because London made another Lockdown, something that is illegal. In short, I would think twice about working for this type of person, because I know that I am not the only one who has had problems. They should learn how to treat people well and the owners should not yell at each other in front of the employees, it is a very bad image.think twice about working here please.

First of all, I completely appreciate the disarray all restaurants in London have had to endure due to the new Tier 3 rule. That's why I chose Tiger & Pig as our last hurrah restaurant before the new rules kicked in. I rarely leave bad reviews at restaurants but this experienced really grated on me. We turned up for our booking at 7.30, having requested a table inside. The hostess told us that the current guests were just finishing up and our table would be ready soon. 15 minutes past and we were still standing in the cold, waiting for our table. The hostess kept trying to seat us at other tables outside, despite telling us our table inside was almost ready. Eventually, she admitted that there was a problem with the booking system and we actually didn't have a table inside, so we had to make do with a table outside. FYI, if I had known we were going to sit outside, I would have gone with one of the other 100s of restaurants in Brixton that are inside. Also there was no real apology or offer of a free drink or anything. Food took at least 30 minutes to arrive. It was tasty (the only saving grace of this restaurant), but expensive for the tiny portion sizes. I get it that this was their last night of the year, but they had bitten off more than they could chew and basically couldn't cater to what they had promised. They had added a load of extra tables down the street just to capitalise on everything they could, while delivering awful service. I couldn't believe they still had the cheek to add on the 12.5% service charge. Yes, I get that you wanted a last big bang of a night before Tier 3, but you clearly didn't care about the diners having a good experience - you just wanted all the money you could. Advice: don't accept countless of bookings if you can't live up to expectations and don't add on a service charge if you're going to deliver horrendous service.

The food was amazing- my compliments to the chef! But I’ve never experienced worse service in my life. We booked a table for 8:15pm and didn’t get acknowledged until 8:30pm, and seated at 8:45pm...The owner/host completely ignored us and was unapologetic about it. I was appalled. They were out of multiple items. We asked for the 12.5% discretionary charge off our bill in the end, and the owner told us that wasn’t allowed. She told us to leave and aggressively told us “it wasn’t much money for us to pay her.” She told us she couldn’t take the charge off and made us pay it. It’s 100% our legal right, and she refused to do it. IS ILLEGAL.

An okay East Asian fusion restaurant. This is a good casual place to have a quick drink and bite but not a place to fully dine as the portions are small and the menu consists of finger foods. The service was friendly and relaxed and the food came in orderly fashion. But the food itself wasn't exciting which is disappointing knowing its fusion. The kimchi was odd. I know not everyone is going to like the pungent flavour of kimchi but it definitely needed more gochugaru and time for pickling. The Taiwaniese fried chicken had a nice delicate hot sauce that reminds me of buffalo chicken wings but it could have been more playful in flavours and textures. The bao was fluffy and carefully assembled but again that pale kimchi ruined it. If you're a foodie and looking for an adventurous fusion of East Asian food, I wouldn't recommend this place. This is just a place to snack and chill.

Small plates with big flavour! Tiger & Pig is situated in the heart of bustling Brixton, being the best Taiwanese dinner I’ve had out of Taipei. Highly recommend the Taiwanese fried chicken and tender-steam broccoli!

The place is cosy and warm. The food was excellent, the service really fast and friendly. We had the bao with fry chicken and one with pork belly plus ribs and artichokes'sticks. Everything was really delicious, the sticks thing is a really small dish though. Ribs were absolutely amazing so the bao!

I live in Herne Hill and often eat at Brixton market, I had heard great reviews about the Tiger & Pig and was looking forward to trying it. My boyfriend and I arrived and were served immediately, we had a little table outside. The waitress explained the small but varied menu. Unfortunately two of the vegetarian dishes we wanted to try were not on the menu and no alternatives were given. We ordered a few Bao buns, sweet potato fries and spicy chicken wings. The food is really good, and tastes fresh, the restaurant feels authentic. I loved the wings and the mushroom bao. However, all the food comes extremely fast, almost all at once. We felt pretty rushed, and we had barely any space on the small table. I understand that the restaurant needs to turn over the tables to keep it cheap, however we were in and out in about 40 mins, even though we asked the waitress to slow it down. I would come back as it's great value for money and very tasty, though don't come it you want a leisurely or relaxing meal.

If you happened to be in Brixton then you should definitely check out TIGER AND PIG, it's a 10/10 when it comes to food, from the baos to the starters everything we ate (which was almost 2/3 of the menu) was very very good. Even though the place itself is not very big you don't feel cramped and the overall atmosphere feels very cozy. In my opinion tiger and pig is one of the best restaurants in Brixton. (Try the pork bao and the baby bbq ribs which were my favourites)

A quick bite and a yummy alternative chicken and chips with peas... Sweet potato fries, Taiwanese chicken and edemame beans. It's a small place and not sure if you can book in advance, but was empty when we arrived but pretty full on leaving. One lady serving, so sometimes a bit of a wait to get her attention, they only take cards too, so be warned. Weirdly asked if we'd move so another couple could take our seats too - we politely declined given there were at least 3 other spots they could take at the time. #strange. Nice food though - enjoyed.

Food here was very good but unfortunately our bespectacled waitress couldn’t give less of a sh*t about service - 40 minutes after we’d ordered and I asked how long it would be she just said “food comes out when it’s ready” - not what I asked... Had she been a bit more polite I wouldn’t have been so annoyed. Wouldn’t come again.

I felt like having the delicious slow cooked pork belly bao and so I told the girl that was waiting my table and specifically told her that I would order another plate I just had to decide which one, got the ordering card wrote one 1 in the pork belly bao and another 1 in the ribs box and handled the card to her. Got my bao, are it and waited for 15 minutes when I asked the girl about my ribs and she was taken aback and handled me another card to order them. After finishing my delicious ribs I asked for my bill which was promptly put on my table whilst my waitress literally disappeared. I waited a few minutes and nothing happened. So went up to the cooks and paid. Not a single question was asked about the food or the service. I guess they take fir granted food is just good and service is just not there yet.

Food was brilliant and I am giving 5 stars for this, so tasty! Love the warm outdoor seats too. I found the service a let down. The girl serving was not overly welcoming and extremely laid back. She actually cleared my plate as I was eating. Would come again for the food but would hope for improvement of waiting staff.

We have been to this small restaurant several times. It is located in the market in Brixton. It was amazing how they can serve so many variety of dishes with bau buns. We were always very satisfied with the service and taste of the food. We have eaten bau buns from different restaurants in London and consider that this little restaurant serve the best tasting dishes. It’s always busy.

Tiny but warm and welcoming space in Brixton market. 1 white and 1 red wine of perfectly decent quality. Sweet potato fries and aioli delicious, bao was great but the star of the show was the ribs which we had 2 portions of. Sweet sticky and unctuous. Really good. Very pleased we came here.

Super friendly and helpful staff, tasty bao and some of the best fried chicken bites I've had in London. We've been back a couple of times and definitely will be again. It's a difficult area to open a new restaurant - there's so much choice - but I'd definitely encourage people to give it a go, the food and people are worth it.

I went there three times because I really like the food and there are not many places in the area where you can get BAOs. The food is very good, I tried everything on the menu and really enjoyed it. However, the service was not always good: either super slow or very rude on my first visit when it just opened.

We tried the majority of the dishes. My top recommended dishes include the sweet potato fries with a variety of sauces - kimchee mayo, truffle mayo and BBQ sauce (usually comes with wasabi mayo), the BBQ chicken wings and the panko fried chicken bao. Food is delicious and fresh. Good value for money.

We have been living south London for a while but we were struggling to find the good local Vietnamese restaurant until NOW! I ordered Beef pho, delicious! My son had a crispy pork and rice, delicious! and My husband had a Bun cha, DELICIOUS! (also deep fried squid for starter, fantastic) We were so glad finally found a good restaurant not too far from us. We will be coming back definitely soon. Thank you so much.

We love this place. My daughters want to go to Edo all the time, especially to celebrate special occasions. The sushi is fantastic. Taste, presentation, imagination are delicious; the service is very kind and patient; and it's healthy. I think the owners can be very proud of this place. It would be good to see them open up the restaurant to the front with a stall to serve their Japanese delights as a tapas-style, instagram-able take away to capitalise on the footfall heading for the park, pub gardens (line that stomach!), transport links, school commute, etc. I wish Edo the best success and we will be back soon :)
