Absolutely disgusting food and disgusting customer service in-fact I don’t know which was worse. The food was stale & soggy just like the owner. Definitely not recommended.

Best Chinese Takeaway, we never go anywhere else. Easy to order, always correct and hot, efficient delivery on time, every time.

Truly terrible food. Avoid unless you're drunk after a night out and dont care. EDIT TO ADD AFTER RESTAURANT REPLY: Pictures added, ordered extra beef with the beef and tomato.. where is that then? Tasted of mostly salt, but im sure that wasnt to disguise the off meat eh? Those Lamb ribs look amazing dont they? Over cooked, mostly fat, chewy as hell and smelled off. That rice looks fresh doesnt it? Not dry at all.. No not one bit. Heres an idea.. For £40..Do better.

Portion sizes are great, the food arrived warm-hot and the spicy dishes we'd ordered definitely lived up to the spicy taste. The Thai fishcakes were a little disappointing though as they tasted a bit rubbery. Would definitely order again and recommend though.

Tried to order food from here cause it looked amazing 👏 but I couldn't do it as it was no delivery and because I couldn't walk and was ill. I had to forget it.

Ordered from here this evening, to find the chicken balls under cooked and quite clearly pink. Had spoke to the restaurant and he was not helpful at all, never offered to refund or apologise. Poor food and poor customer service. Wouldn’t recommend.

Ordered a take away got delivered to wrong address when it finally arrived we had 2 portions of lamb ribs was so tough couldn't eat them so threw them in the bin so £15.00 straight in the bin

The food is delicious. Made to my exact specifications and was very nice and hot. Very happy with everything.

Got a takeaway, all I can say is its OK, chips were slightly undercooked frozen chips, curry sauce was bland, chicken balls were quite hard, nothing tasted very fresh, 2.5 stars out of 5 really.

Regular customer over a number of years - never disappointed with the food or service. App makes it easy to order. Recommend the Singapore Chow Mein and also the satay mushrooms which have become a new favourite.

Was ordered for a group of 8 last night at around 8pm, arrived surprisingly quick however received a chow mein rather than the vermicelli and it was the most flavourless food I think I've ever eaten

Food was a bit cold , the Singapore chowmein wasn't spicy as other places. The lamb ribs were the absolute fattiest and not cooked through ribs, lamb ribs are slowly cooked and take longer than other things just a shame we couldn't eat them. Nice rice though nice people.

I don’t eat Chinese much but having heard of it’s tasty food I decided to order chicken chow mein ! The food is so tasty and you can tell it’s been properly cooked with love and care ! Also thanks for the polite customer service , defo recommend :) # all I needed was a perfect night in after hardest day at ambulance services so Thank you a lot Tee for your excellent care! The foods act tasty tho other wise I’d never bother to write a review after such a hard day ! Blessings

My food was late and I was super hungry but the guy on the end of the phone ( tee ) customer service was exceptional 10/10. What he promised is what arrived. Pipping hot tasty food and an honest customer service. Very happy customer.

A great many of the negative reviews here seem to stem from people ordering items from JustEat and having problems there. I live on Hillgrounds in Kempston, which is roughly 0.7 miles around the corner, so I make the point of driving round to them and putting in my order to them in person, and honestly in the 5 years that I've been a Kempston resident I can't really complain at all with Tiger Lily. Always piping hot, always appear to have been done with fresh produce, never so spicy that it's inedible - even when I order from the maximum spice level! I do love their SIngapore chow mein and szechuan king prawns. I do have one thought though: spare ribs are one of my all-time favorite chinese takeaway items, yet Tiger Lily only offer lamb ribs and never pork ones. Now the lamb ribs are very tasty as well, but I would love to know the reason for it. Perhaps its a religious reason..? All the same, from a Kempston resident who orders from them in person, I love these guys. Come and place an order with them in person and see for yourselves.

Ordered on just eat for Collection Starters were ok. Star for king prawns and prawn toast. We went for mains -house special chow main-absolutely nothing do to with chow main. Like raw thin noodles, not really tasted of sauce or veggies. The worst was a Thai green curry -gray, slimy, full of corn flower in my opinion. Absolutely disgusting. Asked for hot and came with just chilli burning powder. Chicken in pepper and black bean sauce average. But acceptable. I will not order again neither would recommend.

Chips must have been cooked 10 times!! You couldn’t eat them. The chicken balls were hard and well over cooked again probably reheated a few times and the crispy chilli beef was soggy and tasteless. I would have returned this food myself if I hadn’t just come out of hospital!! Will not order again.

Firstly I have eaten at hundreds of Chinese restaurants and take aways over the years. If you want traditional Chinese food, go to Tesco I ordered and waited, then possibly the most disappointing food I've ever eaten tuned up, don't read other reviews they obviously work there. Avoid at all costs....

Came to visit a friend and decided to have Chinese food but unfortunately had to disappoint as food was tasteless and very oily. Ordered barbecue ribs, but couldn’t taste barbecue sauce at all. Wont visit again

I have been going tiger lily for a while now. Have tried many Chinese in bedford/kempston but tiger lily is by far my favourite. Main reason I like going here is that the chicken curry has a hot option. I usually find Chinese chicken curry too bland but the hot option makes it taste so dam good. I also really love the chips here, especially the hot ones with the chilli's in there. Will definitely be ordering again soon.

What a waste of £25 so not only did I have to wait 2 hours for delivery tonight, The food, bland, plain, not tasty, spolied my meal, and evening, Very Disappointed and I wont be ordering from there again I DO NOT RECOMMEND !!! If I could I wouldn't even leave them one star

Most of order ok, sent curry sauce instead of sweet and sour sauce for a sweet and sour dish??. Offered to replace dish and sauce but a wait of over 30 mins and rest of meal would get cold... but apparently chow mein stays hot alot longer than 30 mins!!.. Never use them again.

We've been ordering from Tiger Lily for over 2 years now and we are rarely disappointed. We've tried others but always come back to Tiger Lily - their service and delivery is good, the lemon chicken is delicious and the sauce is not watery, like others we have tried.

So disappointed with today’s customer service. As previously stated by reviews on here, they do NOT like you paying by card. Last time we ordered about a month ago, we were told we would be better to pay by cash as we would get a discount, we walked into our village to get cash. this discount was never applied to the order when the driver arrived but we didn’t quibble at the time. Tonight we were charged delivery charge which we’ve never had to pay for, and on ringing the guy just wanted to argue, saying we’ve always paid it but I don’t recall ever paying for it.We even confirmed the price on the phone at time of ordering to make sure we had enough cash!! We then had to hunt for the extra?! It’s put a really bitter taste in our mouths (excuse the pun) and to be honest I don’t think we’ll be ordering again. We’ve been loyal customers for 4years so it’s a real shame.

Lovely food and good customer service,delivered with reasonable time given the busiest hours. Food arrived hot and so tasty. Very happy with portion sizes, plenty of prawns in the fried rice and lots of meat (chinese-style duck so yummy). Ingredient quality also very good, ordered twice in 2 weeks and both times tasted very fresh and not greasy like some takeaways can be. They don't serve pork dishes but offer lamb instead,tried the ribs which were delicious if only a little too fatty (but that's lamb for you). Would recommend and will order again.

Imagine you microwaved an Iceland ready meal badly... then you’ve got a better meal than this place. Shredded Chilli Beef was stodgy, salt and pepper chicken dry as anything and the noodles... Christ, I’ve made better with a pot and kettle.

Ordered a meal this evening through their website. It said 80 minutes - so I expected it at 8.15pm. Called them at 8.30pm to chase - first they couldnt find my order and then told tget are running late, other orders in front of mine and mine not even cooked . They said it would be at least another half hour!!! Theyhave been behind with all orders this evening. I asked for a refund which they said they would do but it would take upto 2 days to go back into my account!!! I will never order from them again!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. We’ve paid for our food and waited 1hr 50 mins before calling up and asking where our food was. To be told “they’re cancelling our order, they’re too busy”. I’ve never been spoken too so rudely. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

Had to pick a new chinese takeaway as our regular one was shut . the food at tiger lilly was 10/10 . More expensive then other Chinese takeaway but well worth it for the quality . Ill be coming back to you guys now !

Our favourite Chinese place is currently closed so we tired Tiger Lily for the first time and was very disappointed. I had roast duck Chinese style and and it had a very odd sweet,watery sauce. We also had king prawn with vegetables and that was very watery too. We won’t be going back here again!

Ordered food at 5.30 for a 6.30 delivery, come 7.45 food still not arrived and unable to get hold of restaurant - terrible service..!!!!

The food was stone cold. Chose the NOT hot version of two dishes and both were sent loaded with chillies, one to the point of being completely inedible because it was so hot. Almost £60 order and they sent 1 fortune cookie, would have made more sense to not bother at all! We will never be ordering from here again!

OK so this is a weird one... The food is generally good, better than a fair few takeaways within Bedford. The problem being is that if you order through Just Eat - DO NOT opt for paying when you get to the takeaway house and then wanting to pay card. The owners DO NOT like it. They go on about if they are blaming you for losing their commission and cut within the price, but they ignore the fact that you are a customer and they are putting the blame onto you. Would 100% order from here again as the food was good and ready very quickly, but only order for delivery or pay through Just Eat if you want better customer service,

Ordered from them on Just Eat today, they accepted our order with 30 min delivery which seemed great! Then today on New Years eve of all days they closed their store at 8pm, changed our order to "delivered" the same second, and the food was not to be seen. So they took our money, ruined new years eve for my partner that was looking forward to chinese food. Scam, just accept orders without being able to deliver, ruined our Start of the new year.. And to top it off, we are gonna argue the delivery but knowing this business they will just argue it and we are left without food and having paid for it...

I have just been accused of having 'prank' called an order. In spite of my being a 42 year old mum of two, in bed watching Bear Grylls, and, having politely explained that there had been a mix up of which we were not involved, the manager thought it necessary to phone me to shout vile things at me. I'm sure there are fake orders placed from time to time but not by me. I have been a regular customer - now in the past - and genuinely can't understand how my details ended up on someone else's order but clearly customer service and attitude to the local community is drastically lacking. What a horrible restaurant with horrible staff to treat someone in such a way. Having tried to talk it through, I remain shocked at such treatment. Please try to use some common sense when dealing with customers. Think, who would prank call you from their own phone to their own address?!?! I await your unreserved apology. Anyway, back to the lovely 'peeking palace restaurant '

This place gave me a really bad tummy virus and still aren't well .and they coverd themselves as my response phone call as i complained about what there food as done to me... they wont take any responsibility Disgusting how im suffering like this with tummy virus cos of there food and they wint own up that its there food made me unwell..wont eat here agian!....

1st and last time order it food from that restaurant. I orday many China food but this is second worst in Bedford Town. Noodles looks like they cooking few hours ago and is dry and not possible to eat. The meat is without taste... NO MORE... THX TO LOOSING 20£...whole food throwed to bin...

Order via Just Eat 21/07/18. Ordered at 17:12, scheduled For delivery at 18:20, arrived 17:50. There is no way this meal was cooked fresh. Salt and pepper lamb ribs - over cooked, was like chewing leather. Crispy shredded chilli chicken - was not crispy or anywhere near being crispy due to a sauce that had soaked into the chicken. Had an awful tangy taste to it. Could not taste or find any chilli. Vermicelli Noodles Singapore Style - tasteless with zero flavour. The whole order was a waste of money, and was thrown in the bin.

We ordered take away. Good food quality and quantity. Quick delivery, said 1hr and arrived in 45', no complaint. Will repeat!

I don't know how the cooks in this place had the indecency to send food like they did. I didn't fancy cooking on the night and decided to order a takeway. It was my first takeaway in a long while and i did not want to be dissapointed, so I searched online looked at some star reviews and decided to order from this place, happily placed my order, waited and once it arrived we could not wait to look at the delicous dishes they had expertly prepared for us. We opened the first dish and the curry we asked for looked like thick soup, had no taste it looked like they bought a jar of sauce added veg and low quality beef and warmed it up. The special rice had nothing special about it, tiny bits of strings of chicken and "prawns". My girlfriend and I were shocked that a restaurant would send out food like this. After putting it in the bin we did what we didn't want and cooked. We felt robbed. I could not recommend this place even to my worst enemy, do yourself a favour and avoid this place!

WOW!! Ordered after a while, Superfast service, I've waited longer in Mcdonalds drive-thru...I was concerned how it came so quick, is the order right or food ok? It was piping hot tidy, clean fresh & not your average greasy chinese takeaway.....these guys are truly making a difference when it comes to customer service!!!

Was told the food will arrive in 1.5 hours! Thought that was a long time but decided to go with it. After 1.5 hours I called Tiger Lilly to find out where my order was. I was then told it will be another 20 minutes! I decided to cancel and went to the chip shop!!! Complete waste of time. Maybe Tiger Lilly should take orders the week before so they can deliver within an acceptable time frame.

Chow mein was half undercooked and half overcooked, mixed together so I wouldn't notice, very expensive, small "XL" portion of chow mein

One of the best Chinese takeaways to be found in Bedfordshire. Even though the food was fast it was still hot and well cooked and the dishes were flavoursome and varied.
