Worst Chicken I’ve Ever Had – Absolutely Inedible! I can’t believe I’m writing this, but I just had the most appalling dish. I ordered what I thought would be a simple, tasty chicken dish (salt & pepper chicken), but what I got was borderline criminal. The chicken wasn’t just bad – it was old. You could taste it immediately, that unmistakable stale, almost sour flavor that tells you this chicken has been sitting far beyond its prime. It was dry, tough, and had a stringy texture that made each bite worse than the last. It’s a miracle I didn’t get food poisoning. It’s as if they’d dug this chicken out of the freezer from a decade ago, defrosted it in a microwave, and hoped nobody would notice. I noticed, and so will anyone unfortunate enough to order it. How this even left the kitchen is beyond me – do they not care about their customers’ health, let alone their taste buds? If you value your stomach (and your life), avoid the salt & pepper chicken at all costs. Actually, avoid this place

Took 1 hour and 40 minutes and can honestly say is the worst Chinese I’ve ever tasted

It was ok, food turned up early which was good, and overall the food was decent, however some things let the whole meal down. We had sweet and sour chicken balls, which were VERY overcooked, almost burnt, but the sauce was good, chilli beef was nice, but VERY spicy, we've had it from here before and it wasn't as hot as it was today. The chicken fried rice was good, and a huge portion, and pancake rolls were ok, again, a bit overcooked. Overdone chicken balls let the whole team down unfortunately

Food was good, my only complaint is the chips were not fresh and had a day old texture to them.

chicken balls greasy batter over cooked. lamb (cubes)was burnt and dish was salty. everything else was OK. on the plus side everything was hot.

Amazing food and the restaurant fulfilled my requests for customisation. If you’re unsure of where to get your Chinese, go to Cai Ba, they never let you down.

Food was hot which is good. There was an odd smell when we opened the bag which I can only describe as musty. The chow mein was lovely and the chicken Hong Kong style was tasty. But do not order the egg fried rice! It smelled awful and tasted absolutely horrible - went straight in the bin

the chili beef had a nice kick to it and the egg fried rice was lovely, not too salty or oily.

Order was disgraceful. Delivery man rang doorbell like he was the police. Our chicken balls were burnt (overcooked) and the sauce was not even full to the top more like half way. Love this place, but this order I am truly disgraced by.

We hadn’t used Cai Ba for a little while, decided to give them a go this evening & whole family were all very happy. Quality pipping hot Chinese food delivered within good delivery time could not fault it. Will be using again next Chinese night!!!

whilst I appreciate the huge portion we received which I can only imagine was for the missing chicken balls. the entire salt and pepper chicken basket was soooo salty I felt like id swallowed a mouth full of sea water 😳🤦‍♀️ and the Chilli beef wasn't normal Chilli beef it tasted really weird. the majority of it will go in the bin unfortunately:(

Time of delivery changed kept slipping the driver when he did arrive has a number of deliveries to do resulting in the food being just warm. Selected Cai BA on their quoted delivery time and prior quality of food. I did phone Cai BA to chase the delivery and they did call the driver but still took another 10 minutes for him to arrive.

Ordered off Uber Eats, and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was great! Fresh, warm, flavourful. Duck pancakes were chef’s kiss! Crispy beef and hong kong chicken was great! Thank you!

First of all, we were waiting 2,5 hours for our food. 2,5 hours! It was delivered when we were about to go to bed. We have requested a refund but didn’t get even as a much as 20% off. Although I appreciate situations happen, this place clearly has no idea about customer experience and satisfaction. It’s a shame because the food was alright but I purposely won’t give them 5 stars for it because the experience we have received was unacceptable.

Consistently good, always piping hot on arrival. I used to order from Delicacies of China but the last 3 orders from them were cancelled with no explanation, so Cai Ba has been my new go-to. Food is very similar between the two places but I think Cai Ba has a slight edge. The sauces have more kick and the Singapore noodles can be ordered with chow mein noodles, yum! The sweet and sour chicken balls are always tender with a crispy, fluffy breading. The satay sauce is deliciously rich and just a bit of spice. Everything tastes fresh!

Please don’t order. Our first takeaway and pieces of chicken in the curry were still pink and raw. Very concerning. They weren’t very helpful when we called. Offered the recook the dish which obviously we no longer fancied and the rice and rest of the order was cold so why would we want another curry.

Had a few takeaways from here and always really nice. Only criticism from the last order was that I couldn’t tell the difference between the lamb and the duck, both tasted the same! Arrived lovely and hot in good time.

We spent alot on this take away as we wanted to have a good feast! It was not nice 😩 the prawns were unseasoned and the red thai curry was bland. The dumpins are poor quality and not tasty. There was one main that was nice and that was for our son. Gutted - the just eat reviews look very different to google reviews.

Very bad food. I have ordered Tom yum soup and it tasted sweet and tomato and chicken chop suey doesn't taste anything like that. Again the chop suey sauce tastes like tomato and sweet and sour 👎

Favourite all time takeaway place, the food is always fresh and flavorful.

We ordered a meal for delivery on 13th May. Judging by the deep colour of the batter, the chicken had clearly been cooked and recooked. The rice was not as expected, dry and crunchy. I will never use this place again

Terrible customer service, food was bland, not worth the money at all, was hoping the food would make up for the shocking customer service, very disappointed.

Usually use this place to be fair, pick up is usually 10 mins lol set a delivery time for an hour or so delivery and yet 45 mins late and still not here and person on phone tried to blame the traffic lol I won't give you my money anymore. Hour and half late the driver actually throws the food at me gets in my face when I said it's taken an hour and half it's all on camera.. 4 roads it is!!! Lol I understand it's not the drivers fault I didn't blame him 🤣🤣 loser needs to not take things personally. 1hr45 wait for food for the traffic to be blamed and Luke warm food and abusive drivers.

The worst Chinese I have ever eaten. Spring rolls were basically just stuffed with bean sprouts and not much else and they tasted awful. There was cardboard in the seaweed. Dumplings were completely dried out and they didn't come with lettuce underneath like they do from every single other Chinese I've had. Chips were dry and cold. Rice and beef in black bean sauce was actually hot but that isn't enough to make me ever eat from here again. Awful.

I don't honestly know where all these negative reviews have come from, but my brother and I have been ordering Chinese takeaway from these guys for nearly 2 years, and have always been fully satisfied each time. My favorite dishes from them are the Singapore chow mein, the chilli and salt spare ribs, the Szechuan king prawns and the crispy chili beef. Not once have we ever had an issue. On another pleasant note, the deliverymen have always been prompt, often beating their predicted delivery times on JustEat by clear margins.

I know the reviews aren’t great for Cai Ba but I’ve only ever had great food from there! We only buy vege/vegan options and I’ve heard the meat isn’t great so maybe that’s why but I cannot recommend more for great vege options. The tofu in black bean sauce is amazing

Just received our order and safe to say it's nothing like we've had before! The chicken was raw and it was meant to be for my 2 year old daughters😡😡 luckily I cut through it all and checked before😡 will never be coming to this company again. And prices have gone up ridiculous amounts to!!

3 different dishes very blend. Meat was hard, dry, without any flavour. Very disappointed, one of the worst Chinese food I have tried. Portions huge, quality poor, taste awful. Most went to the bin because I just couldn’t eat it. Ordered via uber eats but no option to review the restaurant on the App. Strange.

Second time ordering from here. Everyone deserves a second try don't they? Well as per the first time we ordered there was part of the order missing, it was resolved but an hour later. And personally for me there's very little meat in their dishes and very very over cooked, the lamb in my lamb with spring onions and ginger was not edible it was that hard. But by that point I didn't want to call and complain again. The number giver on deliveroo for the restaurant is incorrect.

Often order from here. Found it during thr lock down. Food is delicious. Often arrives early and piping hot. I can only speak for my own experience and I highly recommend.

CASH IS KING!! At least it will be for me when ordering any takeaway in future. The food I received from the the Chinese was fine. However the stress and upset I went through due to the Just Eat service was abominable. 2 payments were taken from my bank account. I contacted them through their chat on the app. I had to verify who I was which took considerable time. After checking my details as in email, phone no.etc They even asked me to verify my Last delivery!! Responding to my complaint of what I consider is theft, eventually they said within 72 hours my complaint would be dealt with a supervisor!! The whole process took 45 mins online. I only use this app if I have no cash, but from here on in I will have cash when ordering takeaway. I will tip the driver instead of feeding my money through Just Eat. So when my food arrived you can guess I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't been robbed.

I would leave 0 stars but that's not an option. As a vegan I've had ebough of experiencing so many problems with takeaways. Tonight's was a vegetable spicy rice noodles, it has bits of chicken in it. Rest of food was fine and the szechuan spicy vegetables were lovely but definitely wont be ordering here again. I dont understand what's so hard about getting orders right

I got the best filled mini vegetarian spring rolls and samosas in the world. Also I got a beansprouts chewmaim and it was the best the flavers in there and not greesy at all well done delivery wasn't to long aswell so overall the best chineese in bedford

The food was disgusting. The only thing that had flavour was the curry. The beef is not beef it looked to sloppy for beef. My daughter found hair in her chow mein and I found plastic in my curry. Very disappointed. Will nit be ordering from her again. I would avoid this place.

Me and my family have just finished a takeaway from here, absolutely superb! We've had lots of Chinese takeaways from the area and this is the best one hands down. Highly recommended!

Never left a review on Trip Advisor before, but these guys definitely deserved it. Ordered through their website on a Friday evening and accidentally put in for collection instead of delivery. Completely my fault, but called up and absolutely no problem to change it and it was delivered 25 minutes later. To make it better, definitely the best Chinese I've had for a long time.

We ordered food via Just Eat at 4pm and had the order confirmed and delivery time of 5.15pm confirmed. At 5.30pm there had been no update despite asking the restaurant to provide one. At 5.45pm I decided to call the restaurant to be told very rudely that they did not have the order. I asked if they could call Just Eat to find out what was happening as the money had been taken and the order confirmed. I was told it was not their problem! Disgusting attitude and customer service. We have ordered from here several times and will not order again!

Pretty bad experience with this place, on their website it says there is a 10% discount for first time orders. I have never ordered with them before and when i completed my transaction the discount was not applied (done through their own website). I called the store to ask about this and the guy on the phone was completely disinterested and audibly sighed on the phone line. He said he could not do anything and was quite rude so I cancelled my order. My usual Chinese place was closed today but I will not be giving these people another try.

I placed an order and a few minutes later they called to tell me that they don't deliver in my area!! I live less than 5 miles away and the website says that they deliver up to 12 miles from the takeaway!!

We had been avoiding ordering Chinese or Thai food after the quality of the meals from our usual place went downhill. Only having two choices on Just Eat because of the lockdown, we chose to try Cai Ba because most of the reviews were good and the menu was varied with both Thai and Chinese dishes. The only issue with ordering was that the spring roll filling was not listed. So I called the restaurant and requested vegetable spring rolls, which was no problem with the very helpful person that I spoke to. When the food arrived, without a long wait, we were very happy with the dishes we had ordered. They were delicious and better than any delivery we have had in a long time. We ordered sweet and sour pork Hong Kong style, beef with black bean sauce, beef satay, noodles and bean sprouts. All excellent and we both wished that we could fit more in because we didn’t want to stop eating. I think we will be ordering from Cai Ba regularly!

Now new owners the food is very good and very fresh. Prices are reasonable too. Have seen the local ratings and not true. Great food owner is amazing and as a local takeaway . GIVE THEM A CHANCE. as it takes time to establish a broken shop.

Tasty food and great service. Spring rolls were nice and hot and crispy. Mushroom rice perfectly cooked. Very good value. Friendly delivery driver.

The ribs were small but tasty, my chow mein was a little dry. Gave me free prawn crackers which waa nice. I would order again but not in a rush.
