We had an amazing time at the Music Quiz Dinner Night. Both were 100% recommended. Steve Burdin & Julia put a good Music Quiz and the staff of the pub were very friendly and served a great variety of meals. What a great night! It was worthy coming down from London to take part ln this event. Great energy., wonderful time.

We called the tiger and they said they could accommodate us. We turned up was welcomed very nicely and shown to our seats. Drinks order quickly taken. Then food ordered. I had the roast beef. It was really tasty. Well cooked plenty of vegetables. The dining experience was lovely. Just a little to quiet for me but I’d definitely go here again and recommend to a a nyone whose in that area.

This was a poor experience. Granted, we had a nice welcome and the place initially looked clean and inviting. The drinks came and the garlic mushroom starter which were lovely, and at that point we thought we was on to a winner. However, the main was disgusting. Two of us ordered the same pie main, and yet the pies were completely different, one was square and one was rectangle! The mash was disgusting, I accept some lumps, but I don’t accept raw boulders of potato in it. The veg was microwaved to an inch of its life and was served drowning in water. The other main, steak and salad with all the trimmings, was I am sure, braising steak; it was like chewing an old boot. The onion rings that were meant to be on the plate didn’t make an appearance! The chips were like the steak only not as tough. We decided to give to puds a miss. Went to the loo before leaving, the gents were disgusting, most of the previous meals were left around the toilet bowl!! And it stunk. Finally went to pay and the card machine wasn’t plugged in or charged…after a while he got it going and asked me how much was the bill. I was honest and told him the correct amount, In hindsight I should of knocked some off! We won’t be returning but kudos to the young lad serving with the little ear studd, he was working hard, was pleasant and professional, I don’t think him alone will stop this ship from sinking!

We went here as a family as we were wanting to try out local businesses. We were pleased to see we could take our dog too. There is plenty of parking and an outside area kids can play. The menu is small and not a huge variety. The place looked clean and inviting. The bar chap was energetic and helpful. They didn’t have all the menu available which we only discovered when we ordered stuff and one meal wasn’t available. The fish and chips were decent as one party member had this. The portion was large and looked well cooked. However, two of us had the classic parmo and we both left it. One appeared overcooked and tough and one less cooked but still not nice. The chips were like rocks and dry. We overhear another party saying the same about the chips. We spoke to the chef who seemed rather disinterested in feedback and that the chicken was placed in a bag for our dog to eat and we had left the rest. We certainly wouldn’t return.

Absolutely disgusting. The food was awful, went for Sunday dinner, meat was like rubber, veg tasteless, gravy awful. The waitresses were OK but after complaining one of them said she would see what could be done, the managers disappeared. The waitress didn't come back either. I would not recommend the tiger inn to my worst enemy, we have returned home hungry and very disappointed. I wouldn't give it 1 star but have to pick one, they should have minus stars to choose.

Just been for a Sunday dinner, can honestly say it was the worst meal I have ever had.... The chicken was over cooked and un chewable, the veg was tasteless. The roast potato was rock hard, the gravy was disgusting. The owners didn't have the decency to come and speak to us they just hid away in the back, A young waitress came and asked if everything was OK, to which I replied telling her it was not the slightest bit OK. To be honest it was disgusting. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It's about time the owners grew a pair and faced their customers complaints. One very dissatisfied customer.........

Sadly our experiences have proved to be a ‘hit & miss’. We have been twice now. 1st time was not great, very young waitress could not describe what a Parmo was other than chicken with cheese on top. Well, most of it went back. Masses of white sauce with nutmeg which I am allergic to 😲. As for the cheese, it was at least 1/2 thick and definitely a mass uncooked lump. Hubby has sizzling beef, very nice, lots of salad a huge pile,of chips. Last week was not a good experience. Sizzling beef was nice, poor salad compared to last visit and chips arrived 20 mins into meal - way over cooked. Manager apologised and said chef had cooked them in a pan with fish and had forgotten about the. All chips went back. Hubby had lamb shank with mash & seasonal veg - a dish of carrots! We had seen a diner on a previous visit enjoying lamb shank with mash & 3 veg. So, perhaps your experience depends on whomever is in the kitchen. For us, we won’t bother again.

Placed our order to be told we had the wrong menus. 30 minutes later after receiving the right menu the bar staff came to take our order. We asked for the kids mains to come with our starters which didn’t happen. Then the kids food arrived at the wrong table and was completely wrong. Another 30mins later our mains arrived stone cold. Having enjoyed many a good meal in the Tiger Inn in the past it has been disappointing to see the decline of such a wonderful and charismatic local venue. That being said it is now under new management and to be fair there has been some obvious improvements in the decor and certainly the overall cleanliness has improved. We decided to try the Tiger for a quick bar meal which was underwhelming to say the least with the main part of the meal obviously being cooked/reheated in a microwave. The overall ambiance of the Tiger Inn is very friendly and the couple running the business appear to be very committed to ensuring their customers are satisfied and I wish them every success for the future with one final comment Ditch the Microwave and concentrate on freshly cooked food which the Tiger was well known for in the past.

My wife and I called in here the other evening, on Bank Holiday Monday and were surprised, and a little disappointed that such a nice building in such a perfect spot had become so run down. There was no food being served, the decor was tired, and it became clear that there is a holding company looking after it, until a new long term tenant can be found. There were only a handful of people in, on what should be a busy Holiday weekend, and one of the fridges was empty.I am leaving an "average" rating since I don't want to add to the poor rating it already has on TripAdvisor, but if, and when the new Tenant takes over, I suggest they put a post on here to let people know.I wish them well.

Went for a lunch time meal and walked into the lounge on a cold, damp day whereupon the staff asked if we would prefer to be in the bar as the fire was lit. She apologised for the draught as the door was open as they were having a beer delivery but that was soon sorted. We all ordered meals and they came very quickly and were very enjoyable - the steak was cooked perfectly, very succulent. I recently visited this pub to find it had recently re-opened under new management. As a frequent visitor to the Beeford area, I use to go to the Tiger with family to have a lovely evening with superb food. Oh boy was I disappointed - it took ages before a waitress (who was also running the bar, taking orders and serving the food) took our order. I ordered a chicken dish with bbq sauce, bacon and cheese. When I eventually got it, the chicken was under cooked in the middle and inedable. The waitress came and took it back, but didn't seem bothered that I was not happy with my meal. After 15 mins, I got another meal, which was ok but very disappointing. More staff is needed as the poor girl is not able to cope, let alone smile or ask the customers if they are enjoying their food. On paying for the food, the bar person/waitress did apologies for the food, but made no effort to make us want to return - but just simply said they had, had a lot of complaints that day. That said it all. A lovely village pub bites the dust. !!

I do think that the new landlord is trying but they're a way off yet. Food was okay but pub is very run down and strangely the landlord lit the coal fire when it was 19 degrees outside in August. They also let the smokers congregate just outside the open door and so you either get smoke on the way out or on the way in. Don't think we'll be going back

I visited this village inn with my wife after last calling in several years ago, we were led to believe it was now under new management and hoped it was still as good as before. On arrival everything seemed just the same, particularly pleasing was the fact that dogs were welcome, hard to find decent places these days that allow our canine friends. On entering it was immediately apparent nothing had changed décor wise, infact, this was an area that looked in need of some TLC, it looked tired now and in need of some revitalisation. The young lady that served behind the bar was very pleasant but didn't really know much when asked and had to refer to the 'landlord' I presume. We ordered some drinks, a carling lager and a pint of John Smiths smooth, my wife said the lager tasted like soda water and to be honest I have had a better pint. We ordered some food, a homemade steak and ale pie which had seen better days (even our dog couldn't eat the pastry, supposed to be shortcrust) which came with just peas and chips -at £8+ this is a bit steep we thought. I ordered a lasagne which came with garlic bread and chips, this wasn't as bad but would have benefited from some actual 'lasagne' putting in between the meat and sauce ! - overall overpriced, poor quality and a big disappointment, we will not be back, such a shame as previously it was a good eating and drinking place.

On our Way of the Roses bike ride, we stopped in Driffield for lunch and The Tiger looked like one of the better pubs on the high street. The four of us wandered in a 2.01pm to an empty bar, save for some of the locals glued to The Racing Channel on TV, to be told that food stopped at 2pm and left in no uncertain terms that this was not open to negotiation.Don't be deceived by the multitude of craft and artisan beermats on the wall, they only serve John Smiths, Carling etc on tap and we slurped our Magners down and spent £25 at a local delicatessen along the road.A poor reflection on Driffield - "The Capital of the Wolds", according to the road signs.

The three of us - my sister, father and I - sat outside and noticed a few nice changes immediately - there was a fence blocking the garden from the car park, and there was at least a bouncy castle for small children to play on; I felt these were good touches as I always worried about children running onto the car park or being bored. The garden and the interior were empty, but it was never a busy pub during the weekdays anyway. We bought our first round of drinks and then ordered food. Our original order was a sharer platter and the sharer nachos, but we were informed that they had "run out of the components for the platter", so we kept the nachos but ordered a cheeseburger and a chicken melt instead. What felt like a worryingly quick few minutes later, the food arrived, and we nervously tucked in. - The cheeseburger...well, the bread bun was rock hard, and the whole thing tasted like it had been pre-cooked then microwaved when ordered.- The chicken melt was average, nothing special. It was a generic store bought chicken breast with bacon, barbeque sauce and a bit of cheese, again microwaved to melt on top and presumably heat the chicken and bacon through.- We had expected the sharer nachos to be a large portion with a large helping of cheese - but what we got was a small plate of plain nacho chips. We had asked for no sauces or "bed of lettuce" on top, but thought that cheese would be there still. - The chips received alongside the chicken and the cheeseburger tasted as though they were bought from the chip shop across the road and then re-heated. The theme of this cook seems to be "microwave", and it was very underwhelming for the price and previous reputation. To the pub's advantage, the manager was sympathetic and charged us nothing for the nachos, as he "couldn't in good conscience" make us pay for it.All in all, we were disappointed. I understand that taking over a pub is hard, and the first year or so of re-opening will be difficult - but whatever the new management are paying their chef is too much. The biggest mistake they made was replacing the original cook, as his homemade meals brought in a large amount of regulars and travelers. As a summary - go for the drinks and to entertain children for a while, but do not eat there until they fire their current cook and bring back their old menu.

This place has been closed a while, (see review called 'Tiger Out') but has now re-opened under new management. The new management are trying to make a go of it but seem to be having teething problems at the moment. The menu is reduced in range from what it used to be and when I went in it was quiet. To be fair to the new management I think this is a case of waiting to see if they improve. In the meantime, it is open again as a pub and that side is quite pleasant but I think they need to work harder on the food side.

Do not go!!! We went at the weekend as we had always had such a fantastic meal here over the last couple of years. The food and service had always been great especially the homemade specials. We noticed the menu had changed a lot but the 'homemade' steak pie stood out to us so we chose that. It arrived after a long wait even though the place wasn't at all busy. It looked ok when it was placed in front of us but...it was terrible. The chips seemed almost definitely like they had nipped over the road to the chippy, the broccoli was like a rubber ball and had no taste and the pie...well, it was obvious it had been microwaved. The steak was very tender but very tasteless and the pastry was very chewy. This meal was one of the worst ever. We were so disappointed after previous visits. It seems it must've changed hands?? What a disappointment. We both felt quite poorly after and will be avoiding the place....such a shame as it's in a lovely village and used to be so busy. Dined here for 3 successive nights late July and the food as always was great. 2 meals for a tenner plus drinks on top is perfectly acceptable to me. The only thing that perhaps should happen is that the 2 for a tenner menu is extended out slightly to cater for a wider range of tastes. As the restaurant was quite busy on 2 of the 3 nights I opted to remain in the bar area as it was slightly cooler down that end of the pub nearer the door. We only went into the Tiger Inn as it was the first place we had seen driving south out of Bridlington that offered a British style menu. The staff were welcoming and the service was good. The menu is more varied than you get in a typical pub, for example I had mexican style pork loins. The food was well cooked and the portions sizeable. The prices are reasonable, what you would expect to pay for pub food. The beer was well kept. The decor is dated and is in need of a revamp. That said, it is by no means a dump.

I have been using the Tiger Inn now for many years. The pub serves home cooked food and covers a variety of dishes.Currently on Sundays to Thursdays the pub is offering 2 meals for a tenner, which is excellent value. The only slight disappointment is that the lasagne doesn't make it into the dish list for this deal.We ate here 17th/18th and 19th February and ate each evening for around £16 for the 2 of us including our drinks, pint of Stella and a glass of wine. The pub is effectively split into 3 areas. 'Tap room' off to the left and the main eatery to the right. The pub has it's own dining area set further back from the bar, but you can do as we did and sit in the main pub area near the bar and keep close to the open fire which was quite nice and cosy. I would heartily recommend The Tiger and will be sure to dine here the next time I am in Bridlington. I have probably dined here around 40 times now and have always had a good experience. I'm not vegetarian and can't comment on a pasta bake as the other reviewer has. I can recommend the Gammon and Eggs though. If you like real ale, the John Smiths cask is also worth a look.Any questions, just ask.

i ordered the vegetarian option which was a pasta bake which was sloppy and bland. I did mention to the waitress but was not offered an alternative... wont be back

Excellent value, friendly staff, good beer, super chef who REALLY knows how to cook fish. Not always easy and this chef is very good. Pies always good too, lovely soft buttery short crust pastry. Evening meals or Sunday lunches, take your pick.

Sarah was very attentive. The rest of the staff need to be trained by her. On booking to see if we could have a table the man wasn't, quite in the room

Called in tonight as seen family pub and dogs welcome on their sign.....just our street. Well. Absolutely gobsmacked with the prices, cheep and cheerful. Brie, as discussed as in the cheese, absolute delight, what a barmaid! Signposted me to everything I was drinking and offers, could jot have asked more of her, saleswoman in the making! We will be back, with child and dog 😊 cannot recommend any higher

We waited an hour for eggs and toast. Owner only cared about Door Dash orders going out the door. Given that Courtenay has so many great casual dining places, give this one a pass. Give your business to restaurants that care about providing good service to their customers.

Went today for lunch , I decided i was having soup , they said it was the last portion so that was fine , I asked for no bread which , when it came it was the smallest half bowl of soup for £6.25 , I didn’t want anything knocking off for not having the bread but did expect a full dish, looking at the menu I could of had a small breakfast, or sandwich for about the same price , it’s soup where do they get over £6 for it!!
