Regular visitor to this lovely cafe. Sometimes latte, sometimes teacakes but this morning I had smashed avacado on kernow cob sour dough toast, two poached eggs, tomato relish. It was delicious. Linda makes lovely latte and is friendly, remembering the locals names. Lee the chef makes lovely food. The cafe has parking, free WiFi, and is dog friendly. Highly recommend

Lovely stylish decor, friendly staff, tasty fresh produce with lots of choice. Had breakfast of smashed avo and poached eggs on sourdough and a flat white. Service was quick and efficient. Our dogs were made welcome and there was enough room between tables for them to lie down.

We were stopping in the area and popped in on a few occasions as it was so good! The owner was so welcoming and friendly on every occasion. Not only that, she was full of helpful local knowledge of recommending local places. There were lots of nice cakes on offer that differed from the norm. Having said that We would definitely recommend the cream tea, the home made jam was delicious and unique. We would also recommend the "Scottish" hot chocolate. Also very reasonably priced.

First time at this Cafe. Five of us for Sunday lunch. When I asked for just the veg., (as I don't eat meat), I was offered a veggie alternatives. I choose the veggie sausage - the best veggie sausage I've ever had when eating out. My fellow diners were equally impressed with their beef and port lunches. Vegetables were served separately and were more than enough for us. Best gravy ever and not a problem when we asked if we could have more. The apple and date bread pudding was light and tasty. At £8.95 good value for money. The cake selection on the counter was very tempting. Will be going back to sample the menu further.

So friendly from the moment we appeared at the door.Pot of tea delivered (complete with cheeky little ginger cake on the saucers) whilst we struggled to pick breakfast from the amazing selection. There were little twists to all the usuals and all homemade - even the veggie sausages!Their soft bottom muffin all looked fab but the smashed avocado and poached eggs won me over and they didn’t disappoint…. Cooked perfectly, smashed just enough and accompanied by a fresh tomato salsa all sitting on fresh sourdough bread. AJ went with the traditional fry up, no grease in sight, and it didn’t last long. I stole some of the tide line beans to compare as I am a massive baked bean fan - just wow! A bit sad we aren’t around to try their lunch or dinner offerings but I’m sure they’re amazing too.Dog friendly … well just friendly all round and definitely worth a visit if you are in Portreath.Fantastic job guys!

Went here for breakfast as recommended. What a disappointment. My partner and myself both ordered the smashed avocado with egg. When they came out we both looked at each other in total disappointment. Each of us had one very thin piece of bread with a scraping of avocado and one egg on it! For £7! We eat out a lot and this is without doubt the stingiest ‘avo on toast’ we have EVER had. Just looking at the website and the picture of this dish is NOTHING like we had. Needless to say won’t be going back.

Just in the square near the bakers the Tideline Cafe is extremely welcoming the food is good and locally sourced where possible. Cornish gold cider and yarg cheese to name a couple of these local delights. The menu is varied and cooked with care and doesn’t all come with chips. From light bites to a fuller meal. Whenever we camp nearby in Porthtowan we drive to Portreath to Tidelines for the Eggs Benedict (no longer on the menu) and for the kids...The milkshakes (no longer on the menu) and as a luxury holiday treat the waffles....no longer on the menu. If you have been before and are expecting Eggs Benedict, Milkshakes and Waffles I'm afraid you will be disappointed. That said the new lady serving was lovely, didn't see the chef. The old chef used to poke his head out and ask how the food was and have a chat if not busy. Sad that the menu has completely changed, we had a poached egg in a muffin (which was actually a bap / roll) with a sausage and caramalised onion. Wish the new owners well but won't be visiting again.

Found this delightful upstairs cafe by chance and had some of the best vegetarian food for a long time. We were made very welcome and chose the hummus bowl and roasted veg toasted sandwich. Both were excellent and very filling.

the only place open on a Sunday on St Martins! So glad it was open, it was absolutely heaving but we got there in time to get seats and what was left of the cakes and drinks.

I've only ever called in for a beer but no complaints so far and staff are nice too. There's a big beer garden which is very useful for the kids and dogs.
