Tide & Thyme in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

The spot is an usual for us to grab a coffee as the views are great. Unfortunately the outside cafe was closed so we went to the nearby inside cafe. The two female staff were very unfriendly no manners and looked like they did not want to be there. The drinks were lovely shame they did not dry the seats outside as it was lovely and sunny and we did not want to inside, had to sit on coats. Hopefully the outside cafe is open in the future where the friendly staff seem to be.

We booked a take away for 5-30 so we turned up bang on time thinking we might have to wait a bit but we didn’t as we walked in the final pizzas came out the oven . We ordered a marguerite for my daughter which she loved, pepperoni for my son which he loved ,I ordered a Nduja which I loved as well but I start of the show was my wife’s prosciutto and whole burrata stole the show and yes you guessed it she loved hers as well. We loved it so much we had to take the guys in the restaurant some very cold beers for after service that night which I hope they enjoyed and yes we went back again the other night and bang on as good again but I didn’t have any cash for beers this time sorry.

This is our increasingly regular pizza stop at weekends. Really friendly, efficient service, great pizza and generous portions of fries and salad. Delicious aioli too. It’s very popular, especially in the Summer, and often there’s a wait for a table (our fault for not booking in advance) but it’s worth waiting or taking away a pizza to eat on the beach.

I’ve been a long time customer at Tatum’s coffee shop but lately I’ve been a little disappointed. The opening hours set by Thyme & Tide mean the outside coffee shop is closed too early and it also seems a little inconsistent. I suspect many customers look down the hill to see if it’s open and when the shutters are down, don’t bother to go into the restaurant to get a coffee as they may assume it’s closed. The food and drink selections have expanded but so have the prices, which seem expensive compared to other local eateries. I also miss the dark hot chocolate they used to serve there. The location here is first class and I hope that the service improves to match the view as it’s in a prime location. I would rather sit outside enjoying the view no matter the weather than have to be indoors with no view.

We went along for evening pizzas which were excellent & ‘ the best pizza I’ve ever had ‘- really yummy & lovely set up & atmosphere . Great , friendly staff too . Only observation I would make is to pre-order your pizzas , so you’re not disappointed, as it was very busy . We also visited their coffee hut during our stay & coffees , cakes & service were lovely & staff very friendly too

Visited for pizza and cocktails with some friends and it was fantastic! The fluffy pizza dough was complimented by a wide range of sauces for dipping and the skinny fries with rosemary salt were a hit. Cool atmosphere and very different to anything else offered in the village. Would recommend popping down for coffee and a ham and cheese croissant in the morning as well!

Great pizza and generous portions of terrific chips. A good range of drinks. Best of all, really friendly, welcoming and efficient service.
