Thyme Restaurant & Bar in Crawley

I had the makhani curry and it was watery and the quality of the chicken was poor and I think they needed to get the scales checked out as my wife's 10oz gammon was nowhere near the 10oz on the menu and I am a butcher who deals with weights all day, the food did arrive promptly but wished we had gone elsewhere but we have eaten at premier inns in Manchester,Leeds,Newcastle,Edinburgh and another in London and never had a problem.

The usual good breakfast for a good price. Are all full breakfasts now buffet. Highly recommended as it is so handy

I stay here regularly and normally don't complain but tonight my starter took 40 mins to arrive and the mains took another 40 mins on top. One person in the kitchen was the response when I queried, which is not the customer fault. I don't like eating too late and it made me feel ill. The food was a bit overcooked when it arrived. The waiters did their best but could have apologised more to the waiting diners who clearly all felt the same.

Stayed at Premier Inn again, and had evening meal, and breakfasts in the Thyme restaurant. Must say the friendly and helpful staff are a credit to you. Think overall the food was very nice, plenty of it, tasty and served hot, on hot plates, and the range of food for breakfast amazing for the price. Only slight let down was the sausage this morning, different, and not as tasty as yesterdays? But it won't put us off from returning.

Food very good also the service is better than any other Premier Inn we have stayed at. Breakfast in the morning is cooked to order so was hot fresh and produced within 15 mins

Note for those who are on a gluten free diet. The Thyme restaurant offers a very limited choice of meals. The staff did not understand the booklet on allergies, I had to explain it to them. ( Not a problem.) But most of the food had gluten. I ended up with two starters, which meant not much food. Luckily there was the garage nearby, so topped up on snacks. Staff were pleasant.

Turned up 10 minutes before the restaurant was about to close. The waiter took mine and my daughters order and the food was with us in no time at all. Steak was very good. Unfortunately I didn't get the waiters name but he is definitely a credit to this restaurant.

The room was good the late bar menu was a disgrace the food was disgusting and overpriced the staff where ignorant and not very helpful prob my fault for not speaking polish would not Recommend this premier inn

Visited the Thyme Restaurant while staying at the Premier Inn Crawley Town West. The food and staff, were once again excellent. The menu is varied and the ambience very good, very good value, especially if booked as part of the hotel's meal deal package.

We booked the meal deal here with our room, food was served in good time, tasted good was hot. The waiter was great, good with the kids. Our breakfast was good as well, but shame it wasn't a buffet breakfast like the airport premier inn we use is.

Staying at the hotell for four days. This is the second day that we eat here, the first day we ate the burger but is was really dry and had no flavour. Second day we had the ribeye, we didn't get sauce or butter still it stod in the menu. When we got the steak it was very dry. This food could be really good hadn't it been so overcocked .

Very surprised at the quality as it is in a premier inn . The chef Nick was run off his feet cooking and running the meals , and still took time to talk to us . I had the BBQ burger which was nice , the fries were absolutely fantastic! Girlfriend had the mozzarella salad which she enjoyed , although to many cherry tomatoes. If you stay here , forget eating out ! Selection rather small but everything on the menu will be cooked to a good standard. (I'd imagine)

Best T bone steal we've had for many many months. ALL food was extremely good and the service was excellent and professional.

I visited the Thyme Restaurant whilst staying at the Premier Inn in Crawley. I had the £23.99 meal deal (2 course evening meal, drink and breakfast) and paid for it in advance whilst booking my Premier Inn stay. Both Dinner and Breakfast were very enjoyable and the Sirloin Steak was cooked exactly as I like it.

Breakfast is excellent, unlimited food... also had evening meal which was very nice and all reasonably priced.

We were staying at the Premier Inn for the night before our early morning flight. When checking in, the receptionist booked us in at the restaurant as it was convenient. We weren't expecting much but were pleasantly surprised! The food was lovely, I had a veggie lasagne, and other half had steak, which he said was one of the best steaks he'd had in ages. Shared a large chocolate sundae which was very nice. Good price, great staff and amazing food. Would definitely eat there again when staying before a flight.

Sehr gutes Restaurant in dem ich in der einen Woche zwei mal zum Abendessen war. Nicht zu lange Karte aber dennoch gute Auswahl.Auch gibt es hier deutsches Bier und auf Wunsch auch die üblichen Mischungen mit Cola, Sprite oder Fanta :)Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal.Empfehlung: zum Abendessen bis 17:00 Uhr einen Tisch reservieren da es ab 18:00 bis ca. 20:30 Uhr sehr voll sein kann!

We booked a table here whilst staying at the Premier Inn before travelling the next day. The staff were super friendly - couldn't fault them. The food was also good for the price. Would definitely recommend visiting if you're staying at the hotel

We booked a table at the restaurant, whilst staying at the Premier Inn and we're certainly glad we did. The staff and quality of food are both very good, and fully deserve the good reviews.

Really like this restaurant. Staff are usually good and the food is always very good indeed for this type of restaurant. Freshly cooked, good portions and very tasty...also quite good value.

Late choice to eat here but glad we did.It is refreshing when the staff actually ask what you like and make recommendations as to what you may want to eat. The food was really nice and the staff helpful and willing to talk to you rather than just take your order.Never knew this place was actually there, pleased to have found it.

The steak was cooked to perfection and presented so lovely. It melted in my mouth. Such good value for money too. Totally enjoyed my meal here with 4 others who enjoyed theirs too.

We reserved table to find no table had been reserved for us. Ordered food. My pizza come and waiting over 10 mins for my partners. When it turned up it was raw had to send back waited another 15 mins for it to turn up by which time my pizza was finished. Staff very apologetic but not a very good meal.

We had arrived late due to flight delay'The served us pleasantly and efficiently even .though we were technically after their dining hours. Food was very nice and reasonably priced.They didn't try to rush us despite us being so late. Recommend eating here if staying at this Premier Inn.

Lovely friendly staff. Efficient service. Comprehensive menu. Excellent value, we paid approx £60 for 2x adult 3 courses, 2x child 2 courses, few alcohol drinks + included all you can eat breakfast for following morning (see separate review). Food was tasty.

Great family breakfast. Brilliant value and wide choice. Cooked breakfast cooked too order which was far nicer than help yourself. Great friendly polite service from all the staff. Did not feel rushed which is always nice.

The food here is really above and beyond, in fact it's better than many town centre restaurant's we've eaten in. The pizza's were to die for and the service attentive and friendly. Add happy hour 7 days a week at the bar and you simply can't go wrong. We would definitely eat here again.

Overall this is a nicely laid out restaurant and first impressions are good with a nice friendly staff atmosphereThe menu thou was very reduced on our visit but none the less wasn't a problem. What was a concern was the over 1 hour wait for the food to be served at the table and when it arrived it was just barely warm which is a very bad error by the kitchen staffThere can be no excuse for cold food to be delivered to the table in this day and age with all of the equipment that is available on the market that can keep freshly cooked food hot Would i recommend this restaurant for a group visit of 10 with regret the answer is no but for a couple maybe if it's just a causal visit If your looking for a venue which is for an important occasion then you will need to look elsewhere i'm afraid as this restaurant would struggle i feel

A basic menu to cater for all tastes,particularly good value if you go for the meal deal option In advance.

Great team, welcoming, great food, lovely bedrooms. Central for shopping and just off M23. Whenever I am working in sussex, this Premier Inn is always my first choice

The food here is good however it is expensive for what it is. A visit to voucher codes and you will find better value

Booked a table here for six on a Saturday night, first time any of us had been. From the first booking phone call to the paying of the bill after our meal the response from staff was top notch. Friendly, efficient, attentive, and genuine. The food exceeded our expectations and was enjoyed by everyone in my party. I only live five minutes walk away but would happily return for another meal, might even pop round and sample the Breakfast one day.

Had a really nice and relaxing meal with friends the food was great I had a burger which was great my wife and friends really enjoyed there dinners ,there is a really nice atomsphere and has more of a hotel feel about it.The service and sfaff were first class chatted with the manager, he was a very nice and interesting man telling us about his previous positions in Dubai and his hopes for the restaurant doing well. Cant say enough good things but just great

We only decided to try the particular Thyme Restaurant because of the other great reviews it's been getting on TripAdvisor. We've been burnt a few times by trying local (Crawley) places that got brilliant restaurant reviews...seems some of the local "restauranteurs" have many acquaintances/employees willing to skew results on this great site by giving glowing reviews where they're very clearly not warranted. Controversial opinion perhaps, but sadly seems to be true.Really happy to say that this is not one of "those" occasions!! True, this is no gourmet experience, nor is it a particularly romantic hideaway where one would whisk the lady away for a smoochy, romantic meal for two (though we were there for a romantic catchup and actually, it wasn't half bad!). It's simply one of those increasingly rare establishments where you can get beautifully presented and tasty dishes, served by people that really seem to want to give great service....topped off by by being fantastic value for money. It doesn't sound hard does it, but round here it's fast becoming a novelty! Suffice to say, I had the most gorgeous pizza I've ever had. Miles too big to eat, so was given a doggy bag unprompted and it was even nicer the day after!The fact that Thyme is part of a chain restaurant is to us, irrelevant - these places are only as good as the staff working there (both waiting AND kitchen) and if our experience is typical, this is a terrific team offering way more than the otherwise humble sum of it's parts.We only hope it stays this way and will definitely be going back sometime very soon, probably with more people this time!! It's a terrific local eatery and deserving of the praise being heaped upon it.Well done to all concerned and, thanks!!

Have eaten here a few times and have always enjoyed the food I've eaten, I find the meal deal offer excellent value for money for around £23 you get a 2 course meal (any meal on the menu and not just certain items)with a drink and a full all you can eat breakfast, the staff are really great and a credit to premier inn as they are always friendly, helpful and offer a quick efficient service.Look forward to eating there again soon

This is not The Fat Duck, or one of Jamie's Generic Italians but it serves a very good purpose. Attached to the Premier Inn, it caters to everyone who stays there with good service, nice clean decor and good food.I found the service to be particularly good for both the evening dinner and breakfast. I stay in a lot of Premier Inns and this was one of the best experiences I have had - purely down to the swift, efficient and polite service and the very good food. As I stated, it's not The Fat Duck but the food was very good none-the-less. Well cooked steak and juicy chicken and gammon.When I am in the area again, I will be staying at the same hotel and eating here again.

Stayed at the Premier Inn and deceided to meet an old friend for a catch up at the hotels restaurant. We had a lovely evening and the food was nice enough. Waiter seemed a little confused when I asked for ice in my wine but we got there in the end. I didn't have breakfast here in the morning as I thought it was a little pricey, but I'm sure If I had had breakfast it would have been yummy. PI always do lovely breakfasts!

Having used and been very disappointed by other airport restaurants, I was all set to grab a snack/breakfast in the terminal ahead of my overnight stay/mid morning flight. Having looked at the menu in my room and determined that, like the rooms, the pricing is fair, I decided to sit down for dinner instead. There was a good selection and we ate 3 courses and had a couple of bottles of wine and were disappointed by nothing. All of the staff that we dealt with were friendly and efficient. Will definitely use again.

The food was brilliant, really well priced and plenty of it.The staff were fantastic, they couldn't do enough to help. Our waitress, Adrienne, was such a laugh and very helpful, 10/10.It was a fantastic experience....Ez volt kiváló...would definitely recommend!!

My family stayed st the premier inn and could not fault anything!!The staff were so friendly and helpful we ate in the resturant for breakfast and evening dinner and the food was lovely Would defiantly recommend the accommodation and resturant.

We all enjoyed our breakfast at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and keen to help us get our money's worth. All the bread, croissants, etc were lovely and fresh and the cooked breakfast was tasty and piping hot.

I was staying at the Premier Inn that this restaurant is a part of. The food was delicious, well made and well presented. Everything came out within a decent amount of time. There's a large variety of food to choose from. One morning, I asked if they'd be able to make me some eggs and it was done, no questions asked. The staff were extremely efficient when I mentioned my food allergies. I'll definitely return when I next visit England :).

I suppose I find I am a bit surprised to find I am writing a report on a Premier Inn, after they are all more or less the same aren’t they ? You book in with an efficient receptionist, pay and here about the Good Night Guarantee then proceed to your comfortable clean room and in the morning you know that you have the option of a good breakfast. There is something comforting in knowing that you more or less know what to expect.However I suppose if like me you prefer to have your dinner in the restaurant this may be something you may wish to think about as the brand can vary depending where you stay. Nothing wrong with this of course as we all have different tastes but I find that personally the restaurant brand can influence my choice of Premier Inn.My Wife and I have just returned from a two night stay in the Gatwick Crawley Town, West in which we dined both nights in the in house Thyme restaurant.Yes the Gatwick Crawley Town, West provides everything you have come to expect from Premier Inn however I have to say that the staff who work there seem to exceed even Premier Inn’s high standards on helpfulness and making you feel welcome.The Thyme Restaurant whose entrance adjoins the reception area has an excellent dinner menu served by staff that appears to enjoy their work. In truth the decor, furnishings, service and food exceed many four star restaurants which I have recently stayed at.It does not matter whether you require a small main course or you wish to push the boat out and go for a full three course meal you are receive the same excellent serviceIf I lived locally I am sure that this Thyme restaurant is one that I would have on my list to visit regularly.I will certainly be returning and if you are in the area I would recommend you stay at the Gatwick Crawley Town, West, Premier Inn.

Unexpected stop in Crawley to feed the family and found the Premier Inn at Gossops Green. Not what I was expecting from a Premier Inn. This didn't have the feel of a large chain, it was very cosy and friendly. Mark, our host, was excellent and ensured the children had something to do whilst waiting for the food which, when arrived, was well presented and good value for money.

I stayed here the night before a business meeting and I have to say I was really impressed with the restaurant in this Premier Inn. I received great service from all the staff and the atmosphere in the restaurant had a great vibe. I was staying here for business, but with the service I received I will return again with friends and family.

We eat here quite regularly and have no complaints. You know what to expect with a Premier Inn hotel, but having a restaurant on site is a welcome bonus! I must say that the food is always good and the staff are terrific! Friendly, efficient and very helpful....you won't be disappointed!

i stayed at premierinn in gossops green just before new year and i must say the food was lovely staff were very frendly i would stay here again next time im in the area keep up the good work!
