I was staying at the Premier Inn for which this is the restaurant, and ate here in the evening because I didn’t have the energy to find anywhere else. I was pleasantly surprised. It was crowded but the first waitress found me a nice quiet table where I could read my book in peace and warned me there could be a bit of a wait - but in the event there wasn’t. I ordered a rib-eye steak and it was superb. Coffee, evidently from a machine, was a disappointment, but the two waitresses were lovely and genuinely friendly.

The service was great, including the manager being the only one to take food orders for allergen concerns. The food selection options for various allergen issues needs to be considered more. The menu was standard for a Premier Inn but it was not very wide in our situation - dairy free, egg free. So may be they need to look into making the menu to be adaptable or cater for different allergen groups. We paid £27 for an entree and two mains including a voluntary tip as a service charge was not included in the bill.

Visited for dinner on Sunday 5th November. As it was bitterly cold outside we decided to eat at the hotel. When we arrived at the restaurant we had to wait to be seated, no staff anywhere. There was also a delay in taking our drinks and meal order as well as bring the drinks to our table. We could see them sitting on the bar waiting for somebody to bring them to our table. Our main meal was very small for the price and as we were still hungry ordered a desert which was also small and overpriced for what you got. Then trying to get the bill to pay, you guessed it a further delay. And no we didn't leave a tip, why would you when the service was appalling.

Wasn't after anything fancy and can only comment on the burger, surely a safe bet and a big seller so would be fine? But sadly this was very poor quality burger meat, in fact not really sure if it was meat in the end, sitting in soggy bun, raw onion, harsh gherkin. Would have either happily paid more for something edible or less for a BK. Chips were fine.Friendly and efficient service.Maybe my fault for being lazy, but can't help feeling the chain is taking advantage of its captive guests. Had an evening meal here when staying at the premier inn. Really good service, very friendly waiter who was good with our one year old. Food was average, what you would expect from an airport hotel/restaurant. Only downside was that the fries were quite hard and we had to order them for our baby as she won't eat new potatoes or mash. But she couldn't eat the chips anyway because they were too crunchy. Had a lovely lemon meringue pie for dessert but the profiteroles were horrible which some kind of melted cream filling.

A group of my friends ànd i stayed at The Premier Inn Trafford Centre West on Sat 25th June and decided to have our evening meal at the hotel instead of our usual restaurant...What a huge mistake....The service or lack of was appalling. Half of the items on the menu were not available....it took at least half an hour before our order was taken...a futher 15 mins to tell me that the item I had ordered was also not available...being a veggie this didn't leave much choice..A few of my friends ordered beers, which when they came were warm...when they complained they were told that the pump wasn't working properly(?)...So they reordered, when their new drinks arrived they were given the bottles, (no glasses) and told they could open them themselves....Eventually, (and I do mean eventually) our meals started to arrive...One friend had to return her's as the chips were cold...my pizza was luke warm, resulting in me eating 2 pieces and leaving the rest. At no point did anyone come over to ask if everything was OK or if we wanted any more drinks...(Can I add that the restaurant was NOT busy). 45 mins after finishing our meal, we were still waiting to "attract" the attention of a waiter or waitress to clear our table and take our order for dessert and drinks...When we did manage to order, it was a futher 15 mins before all but one arrived...we pointed out we were one short.. the waitress went off never to be seen again...another 10 mins before we could point this out and a futher 10 mins for this to arrive. A few friends decided it would be quicker to go to the bar for drinks rather than ask for them to brought to the table. We decided not to give a tip as the service was so poor...When our elusive waiter collected the bill, he brought the receipt back and pointed out we had only give the £169....This was my 1st time staying at a Premier Inn and I can safely say the last...

I started with Duck parcels, straight out of the microwave. My main course was sirloin steak, it lacked taste and texture. My wife had the ribs, and although it looked good, the taste was disappointing. The house wine was off(suspect it had been left in the bottle for a few days). Came here whilst staying in the hotel for New Year with Partner I was expecting it to be something similar to Weather Spoons but in fact It was an actual decent restaurant with front of house and waiting on staff the guy who served us was really nice and chatty explaining the menu and letting us know some bottles from the bar were two for one till 8pm he got us our drinks and took our orders ordering a sharing platter for starters and both getting the steak for main. There's an offer were you can get two courses for £23.99 each and get brekkie included the next day well worth it, we weren't sure we'd get up in time for brekkie and also the sharing platter isn't included so we didn't take up this offer. The food was lovely much better quality than I was expecting and good sizes all for a good price and all the staff were great too. We finished off our drinks in the bar area which was also nice again as with the rest of the hotel the restaurant and bar area were spotlessly clean. Whilst sitting in the bar area there was a small family who wanted something the snack on but they'd actually missed ordering food however the waiter and chef were really accommodating and managed to do some kind of a sharing platter for them although nothing to do with us but I thought it was worth mentioning as I felt it was really nice of them.

We were staying at the Premier Inn the night before our flight so decided to eat at the Thyme Restaurant situated on the ground floor. We have eaten here before on another visit and enjoyed it on that occasion so made a reservation. We were greated and served by El Hadi - he was extremely polite, helpful and courteous throughout our time in the restaurant... well done and thank you! The restaurant is a 'Thyme' chain so there is a reasonable amount of choices on the menu, a little expensive but you are in a Hotel airport restaurant. We went for a Margherita Pizza, Chicken Wings and 3 mini starters which included 2 Corn on the Cobs and Onion Rings. The food was cooked perfectly and was a great start to our holiday. The only small issue we had was at the bar before our meal whereby the bar lady gave us the wrong glass of wine (but we didn't pay for it) but apart from that the service and food was excellent. Very friendly and efficient servers and pretty good dinner food. We went a few times during our 5 day stay at the adjoining hotel. Their best item, in my opinion, was the garlic flatbread with cheese. It is essentially the pizza dough (excellent) with cheese and garlic on it.The pizza dough was so good, that I was tempted to try it another day. I asked for a sample of the pizza sauce, but unfortunately it tasted like it was straight out of a can. I, instead, ordered the Caesar salad which was "chef recommended" in the menu, and was also very, very good. One morning we did go for the breakfast. It was ok, but for me, definitely not worth the money that they were charging for it.In the end, I would definitely go back to this restaurant for dinner if I wind up staying at the hotel again, but would not go back for breakfast.

Restaurant was busy on St Valentine night so we gave the benefit of the doubt the morning after for breakfast but it was still very average for the price we paid: 22£ pp for 2 dîner course, glass house wine § Full breakfast. Salmon was overcooked, frozen chips refried, house wine vinagary. Sticky toffee pudding was gigantic and fatty rather than caramely. Also we waited at least 1h before getting served first meal. Breakfast was average except the coffee that was the highlight of my morning.Based on a poor quality of food, extreme waiting time and high price, I would discourage anybody to get food in this restaurant. Go to the restaurants in the shopping centre, better quality/price.

I was warned to book into the Thyme Restaurant early as it gets very busy. I went down early and the service was prompt. The food was simply delicious. I ordered a Grilled Salmon Steak with a peppercorn dressing & a mixed salad. The serving was generous & the meal was very reasonably priced. I wouldn't bother going anywhere else with tasty food like that on the menu.

Great on a cold winters night when you can't be bothered to move out of hotel but nothing special. Enjoyed the steak and it was nicely cooked. Salad was OK - dressing would have been nice. Good glass of Merlot. Next time would take up the meal and breakfast offer which seems good value.

Recently visited Thyme restaurant as staying in the Premier Inn West Manchester. The service was fine ordering the meals, but ordered steak with Rare it and bacon, on the pic on the menu it was a cheese slice, when it came it was squirty cheese and awful. Four of us ordered steak was told they did jacket potatoes and when it came was boiled, and when queried I was told they don't do them, they took it back for, chips but after starting the meal realised that I had my friends medium steak and I had his. On top of that my husband and I had finished before them and they tried to clear our plates before they had finished bit I asked them to leave until we had all finished. The breakfast was totally different very well organised and lovely staff.

Decent choice of fairly basic food but always well cooked and really friendly and efficient staff. Breakfast is particularly good if you like your food and decent coffee of a morning.

This is the place if you prefer fried food for breakfast. If you want ordinary bread (not toast) with ham and cheese, avoid this restaurant. We also had dinner once: The fish and chips was ok, but we had to wait too long for the bill.

My Family and I stayed at the Premier Inn, Tower Bridge, London and booked the breakfast & evening meal deal for each day -- we were not disappointed at all. We paid £22.99pp which was for a "all you can eat" breakfast and a two course evening meal plus drink and all of the food was fantastic, in fact it was worth a heck of a lot more in our opinion. The choice was huge at breakfast with something for everyone and all was fresh -- ooh those yummy sausages! The evening meal menu was extensive and everything on it was appetising. Everything that was served to us was delicious, fresh & pipping hot where applicable. We having pre-paid for breakfast & evening meals, I was admittedly a tad worried about having to time watch when out and about sight seeing due to meal times but for breakfast there was a three hour time slot and for dinner a five hour time slot so there was absolutely no rushing whatsoever and we could eat within those times -- brilliant! The staff were incredibly lovely and nothing was a problem to them and that goes for all of the staff in the hotel. Thank you all so very much!

We took a package with accommodation and breakfast and dinner, so the offer was good value. My expectations were not high as we don't normally eat in 'chain style' restaurants. However, the chicken wings and burger were okay, a little processed, but tasty. The desert was awful. Chocolate sundae and it was just nasty, processed cream and ice cream. Sweet, sickly and for me, I couldn't eat it. However, service was okay. The domestic at the next table provided some entertainment and very colourful language! We would not recommend, nor would we return, but it really isn't our sort of food.

We are staying here for a few nights whilst seeing a theatre show visiting from Spain. We were tired the first night after sightseeing so decided to stay at the hotel bar and restaurant to eat. We expected average food but were extremely impressed with both the food and service. We ordered a burger and pizza and shared. Both were delicious and too much for us both, and we have very good appetites. Very reasonable prices, especially for bottles of wine. Homemade and beautiful, would definitely recommend. Accommodation very good value for money too and very central.

We ate here while staying at the Premier Inn as the restaurant/pub is based on the ground floor. Good choice of food and drink here although a little expensive but you have to expect this being part of an airport hotel. We shared a pizza, crispy wings and tempura prawns - most people were eating 'the big share plate' and pizzas. Food quality and staff were both very good. Would recommend..

Tables are arranged in a series of interconnecting rooms with discreet views into other rooms. After being shown to a table I saw a varied selection of dinner courses on the menu, though I knowingly restricted myself by opting for the hotel's meal deal which narrows the choice somewhat but makes for good value. Friendly and efficient service with local Mancunian accents which I appreciated. Sensible time intervals between courses. Breakfast is good, lots of choice including porridge, eat as much as you want. The Thyme Restaurant made my stay at the Premier Inn Manchester Piccadilly all the more enjoyable.

We had an overnight stay at the Premier Inn Piccadilly and this restaurant is attached to that hotel. We thought it would be convenient to have our evening meal there as there was an offer available to get the breakfast free if we ordered from a 3 course menu with a drink at £22.99 per head. As the breakfast was £8.95 we thought this was a reasonable deal.We were warned when we arrived that there would be a 30 minute wait for food, but decided to stay as it would take at least 30 minutes to find somewhere else in any case. We were seated at our table and immediately told 2 of the starters and 5 of the main courses were unavailable - not a great start. No matter, we ordered our inclusive drinks – 2 white wines, selected our courses and then waited about 40 minutes for our first courses to arrive.Sticky Chicken Goujons and Prawn Cocktail were ordered and both were very nice. The main courses came after a short delay - we both opted for a Chicken Curry again was very nice.It took 3 attempts to order our desert dishes, as they kept telling us they had run out of our earlier options. Neither of us really rated our desserts - profiteroles and apple crumble. We finished the night with a latte and a liquor coffee which were both very nice and made with Costa.I think this could be a lot better restaurant if it speeded up a little and ensured there was an adequate stock of food in place. If I revisited the premier Inn or this area of Manchester again I would probably try a different restaurant, even if that meant having to pay for breakfast the next morning.Good try Thyme, but need to do a little better for me!

Nipped in here on our visit to Manchester's Pubs, wasn't on our list but thought "Why Not", we weren't disappointed and glad we did. Great atmosphere, nicely busy, decent crowd and nice mix of clientele, enjoyed relaxing with a pint. People just lazily enjoying themselves, sevice was good too, get it on your list if visiting Manchester.

We were staying in Manchester to visit a great-niece and her boyfriend and had a spare evening. We had decided against eating in our posh hotel, because the “B-team” was running the bar and they had put us off, badly. What a different world when we entered Don Giovanni’s on Oxford Street (Manchester 1). An immediate and friendly welcome, with the cheery and involved banter continuing throughout our evening. No, this was not intrusive, Zehra was intuitive enough to know how to treat each table. This was back in April and so I can not now recall either the wins of the courses, but we’ll be back. What a joy. - thank you Zehra and co.

Our family of 5 stayed in YHA for an overnight stopover from Cornwall. Excellent cafe available from early breakfast till late dinner. Loved that it has vegan options for my daughter. Prices are reasonable too.
