This place is a hidden gem with its quirky, homely decor and cute terrace. Felt like I was on holiday. I ordered the BLT which was good, BUT I found three individual eye lashes scattered in and around the food. I politely mentioned to the waiter about the various hairs in my meal and he didn't seem overly shocked or apologetic. I thought they might at least offer a machine coffee or take the (optional) service charge off. That has been a pretty universal response to something as gross as multiple hairs in food.

Great service, efficient and friendly. Food enjoyable overall, well poached eggs and good hollandaise sauce. Just slightly let down by the quality of the ham. Which was of the wafer thin square variety. But I would certainly eat here again. Nice comfortable,informal outdoor seating area, which is perfect for a coffee on a sunny day.

Got a roast from there once and it offended me greatly. Piece of fatty chicken, 2 rock hard roasties, stock cube gravy, little burnt pointless Yorkshire pudding, nasty bowl of sicky cauliflower cheese and rock hard veg. It was so bad the staff asked us if it was OK twice - as if they knew 😅 but I was too awkward to say anything. Classic

Great cozy pub. The beer is great, food is good and the staff is super friendly. We had a great time sitting outside at the terrace. Prices for food and drink are super fair. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you!

Un poco de una larga tradición, mi hijo y yo visitamos cada vez que pasamos Didsbury y siempre tenemos su desayuno. Siempre es lo mismo, es decir, bueno, el personal es amable, educado y servicial, y el desayuno siempre es genial. Muy recomendable!

Additionally , I found the manager micro - aggressive and hostile with me for refusing her frankly audacious presumption of a 'standar ' 10 % service charge for this excuse of a meal - the experience left me unhappy . I won't return .

Eggs Benedict; full English; Salmon Scrambler; Spinach Ricotta Canneloni - all fabulous. lovely local independent place; good range on menu; nice wine list; good value for money. visiting from overseas, will definitely be back

El personal era muy amable y atento! Vino a desayunar y estaba muy contento con nuestros dos pedidos. Desafortunadamente una mesa al lado estaba siendo extremadamente impaciente, pero el personal lo manejó muy bien y trató a todos con amabilidad. Sin duda volveré! También a tener en cuenta, su lista de reproducción está golpeando!

Love the dining experience here! The owner is adorable and interacts with guests just like a friendly neighbor 😆 We ordered Caesar salad and the fish of the day, and we really enjoyed the seasoning sauce with the sea bass! Paired with an IPA beer, it made for a delightful Saturday.

Popped into Saints & Scholars for dinner off the busy high street last Saturday with my wife and daughter. Friendly gentleman quickly got us a table. Drinks and food came promptly. I had the 100% Angus beef burger which was excellent.

I had brunch here. The scrambled egg and smoked salmon on toast. It was absolutely delicious. The service was good and the atmosphere was relaxing.

Went to today purely out of chance. Couldn’t get in another place but so glad we found this beauty! Prices are superb, food is excellent and the staff couldn’t be more helpful

Terrible Service with the excuse given “There is only two us, we are busy!” A little communication be fore it got to to the complaints stage, would have gone a long way with us. It used to be a great little place to eat but sadly not any more.

Just awful! I used to go here a lot so took my husband after telling him how nice it was but it was horrific! Dry burger with no sauce or cheese, overcooked steak and a waitress who clearly couldn't be bothered to be there.

Excellent full english breakfast brilliant staff we found this gem when the place we were going was closed.

Really disappointing, fish and chips were tasteless and soggy, the fish seemed wet on the inside and brunch was small portion. Staff were nice but service was bad, bit chaotic and forgot the mushy peas and drinks despite it being quiet. Nice outside area but dogs climbing on the seat cushions. Overall not a good experience sadly

The place is great, but the food I ordered was wrong and very salty. I asked for mayo a few times for my chips and never received it. Was also here a few weeks before. And found a large piece of what looked like carbon in my pasta dish

Saints and Scholars was a place me and my partner had wanted to go for a while… it is safe to say we will never go again and will make sure to tell all our friends and family to not go as well. It became aparent quite early on that the staff were all drunk (would not be surprised if it was more than alchohol too). They were falling around the place and spilt our very mediocre food when attempting to serve it. Obviously it’s Easter Weekend and they wanted to have a nice time themselves-fair enough. However, it accumulated in a situation where they were shouting and arguing with one another and made us feel really unsafe because their behaviour was becoming aggressive. We would have refused to pay but they made us so uncomfortable we wanted to leave as quickly and safely as possible. Terrible place, terrible staff and very average food. Although we may have caught them at an off-time on the tail end of the bank holiday, this experience really made us never want to go back.

First time in here, the building is a lovely untouched, brick work. Staff very friendly, food delicious. Toilets are upstairs, so not good for mobility issues. But otherwise loved it.

Walked in about 12ish lunch time, narrow entrance but spacious room inside. Nothing fancy but friendly staff. We had egg Benedict and Seafood Tagliatelle with some drinks, very reasonable price in this location. Food was about average. It’s not a posh pub but we had lovely experience here!

Food was delicious & hot, place was quirky could do with good dust over. Only let down was some food had gone to the wrong table & we watched the table inform staff of the mistake & they had ate some of the food from one of the side bowls they clearly informed the staff & he still served it to the table that originally ordered the food. Shocked, to say the least, as the table had been poking & moving the food around to be sure it was there ordered. This food should have been binned & remade for health and safety. For that reason, we wouldn't go back, unfortunately :(

It is a small establishment with a small manual. I had dinner with colleagues, the food was alright.

Amazing little gem. I'm a fussy eater meaning I like my food well cooked and HOT served on a warm plate. Sounds logical but many fall short. This place exceeds, lovely warm welcome, attentive friendly hosts and HOT well cooked lovely food. Thanks so much x we'll be regulars

This place used to be a winner for great food and drink. I don't know if its changed hands but it's really not what it used to be. The first thing that hits you as you walk in is the very strong smell of bleach which, I don't know about anybody else, certainly isn't what I want when I'm eating. The service is fine and friendly enough but the food just isn't great—like, it's not awful or anything but I want better than not-awful when I'm eating out, y'know? The menu is far too big in my opinion, better to have fewer dishes and do them well, I think. You can't even get a proper coffee which, sadly, seals it for me I'm afraid; I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon... Sorry, Saints and Scholars.

Fast service and menu explained. Inside could do with a face-lift.

We used to go here alot for the breakfast. But each time we went we noticed the cleanliness was slipping. When I was served my milk for my tea in a small jug that had the remains of custard all on the inside from god knows when. That was the end. Cutlery generally dirty. Plates cups and teapots were badly chipped and dirty. Breakfast nowadays is hit and miss. I have had to exchange several glasses and cups as they still had lipstik marks on. Shame as it used to be so good.

Very extensive menu yet not one dish labelled vegan. The staff member we spoke to seemed knowledgeable about the menu though (although she did say the arancini are vegan which I very much doubt). She said I can have the veg fajitas and they'll leave out the sour cream. She offered to run to the shops to get some vegan cheese which was very sweet but not necessary. I don't mind not having vegan cheese but the dishes should be clearly labelled. The Thai green curry couldn't be made vegan as apparently there is dairy cream in it. In a Thai green curry?? That's very odd. Fajitas were nice. So to conclude, staff was friendly, food nice but menu needs sorting out as it's confusing.

One of my favourite places to visit for breakfast, good quality, good service and excellent environment. Very welcoming too.

Food was really good & good value, the hostess wasn't in synchronicity. Becareful the ruse on the front door is two specials for £16 which I declared this is a false advertising caveat emptor!!!

Great place to stop in for a pint or two!

Came into S&S yesterday for lunch and it was delicious. Not only was the food amazing, the service was great too. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Enjoyed a nice brunch here in the outdoor seating area,which is great for people watching. Nice quality food-and a great all day breakfast menu-which didn't harm my wallet too much. Staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely worth a visit.

A long established Didsbury restaurant, with nice food, friendly service, and outside seating in good weather.

Lovely little pub nestled in the middle of Didsbury village. The bar staff are extremely friendly, helpful, just classic small pub vibes. Will definitely be going back. If they do a pub quiz I'm there in a shot.

A unique experience. We nipped in after a family funeral for a drink and a wind-down and were quite taken aback at just how inebriated the solo barman was. I don't mean a bit merry, I mean absolutely plastered. All over the shop. I wouldn't mind so much but as we were sat at a table opposite I had to do my best to ignore his frequent shouting and random interjections. Not best place for a quiet family drink maybe...

Great atmosphere, drinks and staff. Dog friendly. Unfortunately, the food menu doesn't have many vegan options (nothing is labelled vegan). I feel like this should be revisited - the staff were knowledgeable about the menu though!
