Buffet breakfast which is always great especially with kids, evening meal as expected although this is table service so depending on how busy the restaurant is you could be waiting to be served. They could of done with 1 extra person working due to the amount in the hotel and football being on the Friday night as more people were in drinking but she handled it well especially with us rugby lot. See you next year.

20 mins to place a drinks order, another 40 Minute wait for food, it was only a simple steak and the restaurant was only half full. Steak arrived, swimming in grease. Undercooked, chewy and cold. “Spicy rice” was probably a cheap packet version. Would definitely have been better off going to Burger King at the adjacent services. Avoid!!!

I stayed one night with a large group of 35 for dinner B & B. The restaurant organised a two-course buffet plus drink at a reasonable price which was very good. The service was very good.

We had a meal here on Christmas Eve whilst staying here visiting friends over the holidays. Have to say for a 'budget' hotel our meal for 4 was very good in quality, portions and value. I went for the steak which can be hit and miss even in the best of restaurants but this one at Thyme was really very good - cooked as requested (and yes the friendly waitress did ask), tender, all edible and a good size. I was very pleased. Favourite wine was listed too and at very keen price, so we won on all levels! Breakfast next morning was also more than adequate and very good value too. We've stayed here a few nights during the holiday period over quite a few years now and whilst this Premier Inn sometimes is not quite up to scratch, even in this price bracket, the Thyme restaurant never let us down.

I hate eating in Chain restaurants but we were tired and didnt want to go outside the hotel. Was O.K. HAd a Gluten free menu which was good. Otherwise it sufficed for two hungry people.

We ate here as part of our stay at the premier inn the food was well cooked and hot the burgers are to die for very good

we where working close by and had a large party to feed. Staff sorted us out and suggested planning for the second nights meal to speed up the service..

The food at thyme restaurant premier inn potters bar, has always been of excellent standard. The food is delicious and staff are helpful, efficient and friendly . We have dined here many times and our latest visit was fantastic as always.

Had a great meal here. Steak cooked perfectly and fish was lovely. Much better than other thyme restaurants we have visited.

This place is part of the Premier Inn at the services. I ate here for breakfast x 3 and dinner x 2. It is okay. The service is a bit nervous but the staff are pleasant overall. The food is bog-standard stuff. The salad leaves that came with the meals each day were most definitely not fresh - cut edges were quite brown and limp. I had burger one day and steak the next - both edible but nothing to write home about. The wines are very good and reasonably priced.

The food was ok standard pub grub nothing wrong with that, there used to be a fair selection on the menu but it seems to be a lot more limited. Service was ok. The dinning area was fairly sole less and as the rest of the hotel it feels a bit tired all in all I think Average is a fair assessment

We ate in this restaurant before going to Children in Need live show, The food was well cooked, well presented and tasted good. The team who served us were enthusiastic and very friendly. Thank you for an enjoyable experience

The food was fine but the waitress was disgustingly rude. Under 2 minutes to look at the menu. Was not quite finished my main course when I was presented with the bill. No chance to request dessert or coffee. No explanation for bring so rudely rushed. The restaurant was less than 20% occupied at the time.

After driving 600 miles we didn't want to go looking for our dinner so it was great to have this restaurant with in the hotel. We hadn't booked but was quickly shown to a table food & drinks arrived quickly after order we had mushroom soup, chicken burger, veggie pizza & kids pizza all very tasty & reasonably priced. Breakfast again was a similar experience no booking but we were greeted & quickly seated. Breakfast is self serve we ordered veggie sausages from the kitchen they were nicely cooked & arrived quickly. Good choice of food, well stocked & tasty. Attentive & pleasant staff made both meals an enjoyable visit.

What a great spot to stop into for lunch. Staff was very friendly and the food was great place to come back and visit again and again. I must stop at when you're visiting all the best Michael

Warm welcome and excellent service of excellent food from a very comprehensive menu with some new exciting items such as a Black pudding starter and a Mixed Grill of variety and quality.

Hotel absolutamente fantástico! El personal era fantástico y muy servicial, excelente ubicación y impecable, las habitaciones recientemente renovado. Elegimos este por la ubicación, ya que está a solo 15 minutos del Mundo de Harry Potter. La estación de tren (Potters Bar) a tan sólo 8 minutos y en 20 minutos estábamos en Kings Cross. Si vas a ver el HPW entonces este es realmente el lugar para alojarse. El Thyme Restaurant del hotel sirve excelente comida de un menú amplio y variado. La oferta de comida es una excelente relación calidad-precio. Un bar bien surtido y un precio muy razonable de bebidas aumenta la ocasión. En resumen, un hotel fantástico y volveremos en el futuro. 10 / 10

Microwaved chicken curry this was very disappointing, staff and service was however very good just a shame the food was not!!!!!

Great self service buffet breakfast. Either continental or cooked. Good price. Porridge! Pancakes & maple syrup! Juices, teas, coffee, bread for toast, fresh fruit, muffins, etc Replenished often, good service.

Wasn't sure what to expect as I've not eaten in a thyme restaurant before. We got the meal deal as we stayed at the inn & it was well worth the money, loved the food! It came out hot, well presented and a good serving also & the staff were so polite & nothing was too much trouble for them. We also had the buffet breakfast, which was 10/10 amazing! What more can I say. Will definitely go again.

We stayed at the premier inn Friday and Saturday night so took up the £23.99 meal deal offer. The evening meal was ok but I got the impression it was all 'out of a bag' and my rack of ribs, though tender were dry... Had to ask for more BBq sauce. The deal included an all you can eat breakfast which really was good value for money. The restaurant was clean and the staff really friendly and helpful

We visited the restaurant while staying in the Premier Inn for the night.There is a deal where you pay £25.99 for a 2 course meal, a drink and breakfast the following day.The menu offers a good selection however I would say the food is only average and the waiting staff, while good were quite elusive. Breakfast has a good selection however the hot food was a real letdown, horrendously fatty bacon, undercooked sausages and I have absolutely no idea how they managed to make the fried eggs so rubbery that they could bounce! All in, if you are hungry it's fine but if you have an option I'd suggest going elsewhere.

Order a chicken curry and it came out with near frozen chicken, what type of temperature control does the chef use? Very disappointed indeed.

Ate here - a business meeting - I enjoyed the menu, the ambience and the decor. Staff had no direction and we were asked to order several times by different people and then the order was wrong but the food was good enough.

Menu's need urgent choice changes especially if your a regular user and even more so if it's an isolated Premier inn

Fantastic value. Food and service is always excellent value for money. A great menu, lots of choice. Breakfast is fantastic value for money.

I stayed at the Premier Inn and dined here once. I was led to my table, sat down and noticed that my knife and fork were dirty, these were changed. I had tempura king prawn starter which was good. I ordered chicken and tin combo for main course. The meal arrived, fries like McDonalds, chicken was dry and over cooked, Ribs the same,all pre packaged and not freshly cooked. Grilled tomato and horrible not grilled mushroom on the plate looked like they were from breakfast. I raised a complaint, the manager explained that this is all they have, it's not fresh as it all comes pre packed and that the chefs are not real chefs, they are microwave and grille operatives, I asked what could be done about my meal and he shrugged his shoulders and shook his head and said nothing we can do, we know it's not good but this is what we have to serve, company policy.I only ask for freshly cooked food when I dine out. Am I asking too much ? Surely not!

It is a good little restaurant, food is great and service is on point. Only thing I didn't like is after being their for a week the staff was still asking if I have been here before (I stayed in the hotel). Pricing is good for the serving you get in return. It is busy so always book ahead of time.

The usual type of fare at this location served by nice, polite staff, in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. Saves driving anywhere.

It was only the pleasant staff that made this an average rating. If you like all of your food straight from the freezer into the deep fat fryer this is the place. I have never had a mixed grill served to me which included a cheese burger and no steak! and this was having sent the meals back as they were cold, not warm, cold! Unfortunately if you are staying at the Premier Inn this is the only choice you have unless you want to get in the car. Staff did the best they could to save the day, but breakfast was not much better which was based on quantity and not quality.

I had two meals here as staying at the adjoining hotel and took the opportunity to use the meal deal which for two courses and a drink at £22.99 excellent value.I chose the duck parcels which were ok tasting but not great but then frozen never are, not good value unless in meal deal. Ribs excellent. Wanted some onion rings which came as part of a trio of choice for only £2.99 extra. Ordered more corn which was good, coleslaw lemony? Nope watery and onion rings were good. Did feel like I looked like a pig after- I'm glad my table in corner. Service attentive and pleasant.Breakfast was good - staff offered to show me around buffet, usual choice. Toaster had sign advising hot. The plate warmer did not which should have been a sign as the plates were cold which was a shame, breakfast well cooked though mushrooms tasted oily but were quite dry. Everything else good value. Didn't like table as by window onto reception so passers by could see me.I haven't been a fan of Thyme before but am warming to it slowly like the plate warmer!
