The best full breakfast I have eaten in years. I do not eat a full breakfast very often and my wife’s takes some beating but this “Big” version was a gem! All cooked to perfection and washed down with a very good, big and fresh Americana Coffee. The food menu (eat in or takeaway) is extensive as is the range of hot and cold drinks. Vegetarian and Vegan options are also available. To top it all, the prices are simply amazing in this day and age and it was recently awarded Best Café in Elland.

Absolutely love this spot and it keeps us coming back. The food is freshly cooked, delicious and the portions are generous. There are dietary alternatives available on request (gluten free and diary free milks). The staff here are a total delight; down to earth, no nonsense Yorkshire lasses which I massively appreciate; no standing on ceremony here! Never had a bad meal from here, I'll be a regular patron for years to come!!

I am not one to complain but I felt i had to share this. Lovely looking little Cafe & nice coffee (Takeout) Just a shame about the way customers are spoken to, hygiene & the appauling language. I was very friendly & then asked about Milk alternatives and asked did they have skimmed milk? To which the lady looked me up and down and replied 'No! That's not Milk, it's basically water' in an arrogant tone. So I just took what I could have. I have since been told that the lady is the owner too when describing her to a friend. She then took my money, didn't make my coffee and carried on making brownies for the next 10minutes. One member of staff was stood against the counter at the back doing nothing and one went downstairs. The owner & other lady were chatting and the owner was swearing constantly whilst clearly being rude about someone too. Very unproffessional and vulgar! I was the only one there at the counter and only 2 people at a table who had finished eating & were just chatting.... so why did no one make my coffee?! I stood and continued to wait. Whilst looking around I noticed the owner licked her finger that had brownie mix on and then used that same finger to push the mix off a spoon into a tray and then put them in the oven. When she finally decided to make my coffee, she coughed into her hand and then proceeded to put my lid on my coffee cup and push it down with the hand she had literally just coughed into!!!! (That lid was removed right away as soon as I went out the door!). I am sooo glad I didn't order any food! The owner should know better and lead by example! I will NOT be visiting again.

Fabulous cafe! Food is cooked to perfection with generous portions at amazing prices. Staff are super friendly and hard working g. Wish I lived a bit nearer so I could go more often but always my No 1 choice when in the Halifax area.

The food was lovely, my friend had bacon and eggs and I had a toasted tea-cake with the most delicious home made jam. The staff were friendly and helpful, so I’ll definitely be going again.

We ordered Soup & Cheese toastie . . . butternut squash and carrot , was absolutely lovely ! Would highly recommend Thyme for Food , great service , fab coffee & amazing selection of homemade cakes . We also had sandwiches to take away which were top notch .

I came across Thyme cafe when I walked my daughter to work a couple of weeks ago, so I called in for a bacon bap and a coffee. The cafe is situated on a corner on the main road from Elland to Huddersfield, so you can't miss it. I love great coffee and the the coffee is truly great - so much so that I had to have another one. The bap, though simple, which is just how I like it, was made from quality bread and plenty of lean bacon, cooked just right. I called in again yesterday and had the same again. There is some great food on the menu so I cannot wait to try out other options. All in all, lovely food and the staff are welcoming and friendly and enjoy a good laugh. Oh, and to cap it all, they play great background music! I thoroughly recommend you call in, if you haven't already.

Absolutely fantastic breakfast. So much for the price, friendly chatty staff. Made to feel welcome. Very clean it's spotless.Food is really good none of the cheap rubbish! Can't fault this cafe at all, we'll definitely be back and would highly recommend.

A regular breakfast and lunch spot for myself. Always fresh, homemade and well presented and with the best coffee in the area, it is hard not to come back.

I’ve been to Thyme for food twice now. The menu choice is extensive and the quality of food outstanding. I had the homemade steak pie on my last visit which came with roasties, mushy peas and gravy, it was so delicious and very reasonably priced....
