Three Horseshoes Inn in Caerphilly

What a lovely welcoming place. Came for a day date and this place was recommended. The owner was so lovely and accommodating and we had a lovely lunch. It was recommended the home made steak and ale pie so we had one of those and a home made beef cheese burger. We also had a starter of pate and toast and whitebait and it was lovely for me the pie and the burger were the stars of the show and they shined!! You can tell it was all home made and tasted so good and comforting. We will definitely visit again and I’ve continued to recommend since our visit.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Great service, warm and cosy atmosphere. Great pub. Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back.

We booked the conservatory, with a hot and cold buffet for my fathers wake, the food was amazing and plenty of it, everyone was catered for and the variety was really good, tea and coffee was provided and everyone said how lovely everything was,so a big thankyou to all the staff, would recommend you to everyone, thanks again, val gilliver xx

Went up for a Sunday lunch, and the staff were very friendly, service was brilliant and the food was just absolutely amazing, the beef melted in my mouth, the best roast beef IV ever had. Went up a few weeks before and had a midweek lunch and that was fantastic aswel. Definitely going back and I highly recommend everyone to go there.

We were in the area to drop off our Son in Blackwood, and ended up here via google maps. Beers well kept and some of the best "Pub grub" we've had in YEARS! Piping hot. Gammon was superb! Not too salty and plenty of it. Missus had the steak and ale pie and said it was awesome. white choc and raspberry cheesecake to die for , plenty of nice custard on the sticky toffee. Fairly smalll dining Area, but no blaring music / TV . comfortable noise levels for conversation. Polite / friendly staff . Clean Lavs .... If this was our local, I would be well chuffed!! Thanks guys and compliments to the Chef!

We ate here on a whim last night having looked at the reviews online. It’s hard to find a pub that does delicious homemade pub grub instead of the major chain pubs doing microwave food. We were absolutely delighted in our choice. We were a party of 6 and it was a special night as we were catching up with long lost relatives.The food was delicious , never tasted chips or cheesecake so lovely. The gammon was thick and tasty. Hunters chicken delish. All our starters , mains and desserts were fab , staff were friendly, the owner was so nice too. The meal prices were very fair indeed ! Good value for money. Love that we could take our time and never felt rushed. So many places give you a table for 2 hrs nowadays ! We sat upstairs in an annex not much atmosphere there but downstairs in the original bar looked cosier and had more ambience. So when I come next will ask for table downstairs. Apart from that it’s 5 stars from me.

Our second lunch here and once again was delicious! Staff give a warm welcome and are professional and polite,I had lasagne and hubby tried the steak and ale pie,highly recommend a visit 😊

We had this place recommended by a lettings agent localy. A warm welcome awaited us from both staff and locals who were eating there. The food was amazing, clearly home cooked and we had a wonderful time. I cannot recommend highly enough. I will be eating here again very soon!

Just relaxing at home following a wonderful Festive lunch at this lovely pub. We’ve had several seasonal lunches over the last few weeks but this was by far the best. The food was excellent !!! We recently had a small gathering at the Three Horseshoes after a funeral. The buffet provided was excellent in quality and quantity and the service was friendly and attentive. It is a well run pub and an asset to the local community. Thanks very much.

Lovely fresh food. Waiter was helpful and kind when my autistic children were struggling with the environment and placed us in the conservatory where it was nice and quiet.

If you’re looking for a genuine and warm old fashioned pub experience then look no further than the Three Horse Shoes. This gem of a Pub is well kept the young barman when he showed himself was polite, friendly and helpful. Now for the best part I ordered from an extensive menu the 20oz mixed grill which consisted of one good quality sausage, one succulent lamb chop, tasty gammon, pork chop, tender steak, fried egg, mushrooms, onion rings and peas of course there were also plenty of chips ! Everything was cooked to perfection. My Niece who is an expert on burgers as are all kids ordered the burger with bacon and sweet potato fries she informed me that it was the best burger she had ever eaten which is huge praise as she’s eaten quite a few !! To conclude a great little pub with an amazing welcoming old fashioned feel with food and service worth travelling for. We will be back, keep up the great work guys and thank you for your hospitality.

We were at a funeral near by and were invited to the Three Horseshoes for a wake. Clean, tidy and well set out. Great different rooms, brilliant staff such a great visit.

If I could give six stars I would. The Three Horseshoes Inn is the epitome of hospitality in the greater Newbridge area. From expertly poured craft drinks to homely food served in a rural ambiance. This is truly a venue not to be missed.

Amazing food, great traditional pub atmosphere, decent pints and superb staff! Popped in for a meal with some friends. The staff were extremely welcoming, the food was amazing (Rump steak and the trimmings were on point, and the Rasberry and white chocolate cheesecake was out of this world). Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
