Food good, staff friendly ,pub run down bad as it is part of a Premier Inn

Visited the Three Bells today. Hadn't booked a table, very quiet despite it being Father's Day. Arrived around 12pm, 5 adults, one 90 years old and a dog. Given menu's and we were seated outside as we had the dog. We had no problem with that. Bought a round of drinks, chose our meals, only to be told they couldn't accommodate us as we were seated outside! After giving us menu's,and told to sit outside. Drank up, and drove about a mile to the Royal Oak which is dog friendly and reserved us a table in their restaurant. We didn't take up their offer to sit inside, as we preferred to sit out in their lovely pub garden. Great service there, friendly and accommodating staff. Lovely food and atmosphere. The Royal Oak will get a 5 star review.

I wouldn't eat that meal if it was free. One fella was gambling, whilst talking to the chef. And this chef in question was wearing dirty clothes.

Staff and food excellent, plenty of room for wheelchair. Easy parking definitely a place to go .

Staff very friendly, I ordered the beef and Ale pie with chips, won't lie, you could tell it had been microwaved. The pie pastry was a bit on the soggy side. As brewers fayers go, it's not the best In the world. Won't be going back

The food was lovely and the staff very friendly. We had the meal deal, it’s great value for money. The pub could do with a refresher, but it doesn’t put us off using.

We enjoyed the 3 course Christmas menu at a late lunch time. I didn't have any alcohol as had to drive, however the unlimited coffee proved a good option. Helpful staff.

Have visited many times, no problems. Today was different. Ordered Cheese and onion pie. When arrived, pastry was inedible, too tough to eat. Was offered a steak knife to cut it! Declined, Ordered burger instead, this not quite bad enough to send back one side overcooked and chewy.Coleslaw was a Disgrace, had two pieces of cabbage 2ins by 1.5 inch. Waited so long for bill ha.d to go up to counter to pay despite restaurant almost empty. Received lukewarm apology

We've come here a few times, in the past the Sunday roast has been just 'okay' but this time the roast was really nice and we both totally enjoyed it. The staff are really friendly, we'll definitely keep coming back.

Food is cheap, unspectacular but great value for what you pay for. It's a Brewers Fayre so you know what to expect. Staff are nice and friendly.

Absolutely disgusting all around. The customer service is non existent and the food is awful. The seats also needed a clean as well as the general area. Very disappointing all round.

Nice place and convenient for hotel

Stayed at the premier inn and had both breakfast and dinner here. Food was great, great menu choices, good service and really accommodating for kids. Good value for money and will be coming back.

Fish & Chips over cooked, atmosphere non existent, staff spending time playing pool, nothing else to do I guess.

I’ve been to a few brewers Fayres now and I got to says this is the worst one. Pop in here to have a meal as the menu is mainly the same everywhere. The food isn’t that expensive and the drinks aren’t that expensive either. I had what was supposed to be chicken tikka curry but it was more like soup and no spoon was given or offered to help me eat the soup curry. The building is very dated and in need of a massive overhaul. Our waiter seemed to be happy but that’s as far as it got for greatness. There’s plenty of other options available food wise, don’t bother wasting your money here. Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible.

Was treated to lunch, food was tasty, and portions about right. Sticky toffee pud was really yummy. The thing that you notice most is the state of the walls. It looks like a child did the decorating, which doesn't make it look the best it could be. We went at 2 pm so only a few people were eating, but the staff was really polite and helpful. Would eat here again.

If I could give zero stars I would, the only saving grace for this place was the young waitress doing all the work. We booked a breakfast for 9am as we were on our way back from our holiday. We were met with a woman who worked there, saying "have you booked" we said yes gave out name and she said "no, not there any other name" so we were getting our email and she just said "you can sit here, help yourself to continental breakfast and someone will be over shortly to take your order" Went to the continental, no teabags left, no clean cups, no cocoa pops left, no butter left (clearly wasn't being topped up) so we had dry toast and a glass of juice. Got back to our seats and noone had come over, 15minutes it took and the lovely young waitress took two other tables orders then ours, my toast was cold, so she got me a latte, daughter a juice and husband a coffee. We got more toast with butter this time. However it got to 9.40 and still no breakfast. So my husband walked out, I told the manager we will pay for the continental (if a couple of cold bits of toast, is that!) So we paid £15.98 for that! Absolute joke. Would never recommend and would never return.

A friendly family pub that has lots of parking. A good menu choice. Pub and pie night on a Wednesday is good value! The beef and ale pie was especially good. I tried the trio of smaller pies. The apple pie was very good too.

Had a lovely meal here, 2 pints of Doom Bar that were excellent & a Sirloin Steak that was cooked exactly how I asked. Well done 👍

Walked in on the off chance , best decision ever !! Firstly the staff were friendly, polite and helpful ( score 10/10), secondly the food was without a doubt the best i have had from any chain type restaurant. Massive thank you to all the staff for a truly wonderful meal and experience. The whole family loved it. Mixed grill is lovely,the smothered chicken burger didn't last long as my wife loved it , kids meals are good quality and quantity and the deserts are amazing.

Just had an amazing mixed grill. Three people. All cooked beautifully and lovely and hot. The food was of the highest quality and absolutely delicious. The young lady and young man who served/looked after us were exceptional. Thank you so much for a really lovely dining experience. We will with out any hesitation, be returning.

Came here on the recommendation of a friend and can’t fault it. Considering they were busy the service was great and the food arrived fast and was piping hot. The steak was one of the best I’ve had.

We come here every week and it suits us greatly. Just what we need after a busy week.

We had breakfast here. Probably one of the best breakfasts we've had for a while. Bacon cooked crispy as per our requirement. All food was super hot when it arrived and didn't have to wait too long. Ordered latte coffee (included in the breakfast price) extra orange juice was supplied when they ran out. Staff friendly, food excellent will definitely return. 😊

We came here for my birthday. On arrival the guy who met us was rather rude tokd us they wasnt serving food til 12 and we can sit at the bar, no one even came and offered us a drink. We waited until we had our table and ordered our lunch I ordered the hunters chicken, when it came out i started to eat it and realised half way through that the chicken was still pink. I told the waitress who apologised and asked if I wanted a new one or something different. I ordered the same thing again this time it was cooked properly. We then went to pay after and there was no offer of the dinner or any other apologies. I am duty manager of another Premier inn and to see this level of rudeness and unprofessionallism is quite shocking. I could of got food poisoning from eating that chicken if not anything worse. Please address this as its rather embarrassing and will give all brewers fayr/ premier inns a bad name.

Id never been here before, went just to try the unlimited breakfast. Staff friendly, efficient and non loitering. Quick to clear and clean tables for next patron. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast with perfect poached eggs, quality pork sausages, bacon, mushrooms, half cut tomatoes, baked beans, hash browns. I even tried the vegan bacon which was nice. They didnt have any black pudding but I cant stand the stuff, so no hardship to me. They dont do fried bread or tinned plum tomatoes which I do love but thats not unusual. I prefer oven baked mushrooms in butter, theirs were plentiful but heated in microwave. Help yourself to continental, toasted items, juices and hot drinks which is included in unlimited breakfast price of £9.95 (I think). Cappuccino extra. They also open at 6.30 week days, 7am at weekends. Loos clean. Id definitely go again if im over that way.

Good food and nice atmosphere and good service

Typical pub restaurant but good service and it was quiet as we visited early evening. I like the fact they have a separate GF menu but unfortunately although chips were on the menu for GF they said they couldn't guarantee it, I was offered a jacket potato instead but opted for salad. When my meal came I queried why there was no coleslaw and was informed they didn't have any so therefore my meal looked rather pathetic, a piece of chicken and a small amount of basic salad. My husband's fish and chips was very good. On this occasion the GF meal just let them down but in the past they have delivered very good value for money.

Had a fantastic night out with the girls at the 3 bells the staff had a great sense of humour which was good the food was very nice enjoyed what I had it was a great service by staff and the atmosphere was brilliant everyone had such a laugh including staff would recommend it to anyone thanks for a great night

Comfort food, actually quite flavorsome. The place is a bit canteen like with very bright lights and a lack of pub ambiance. But good value fro money.

Always had great service and excellent quality food. Make the most of the Brewers reward card.

A festival of Beige. Deep fried mostly, occasional vegetable (non deep fried) is limited to peas I think. If you like this stuff- it’s good, clean etc. but not my gig

This place was busy, service was a little slow. The manager was great and was really accommodating and sorted my problem sufficiently. I would return here.

Been twice now had the biggest ribs and chicken ever

I used to visit Hordle a lot as a child in the 80s and was excited to be revisiting this year. HOW DISAPPOINTING! The Three Bells used to be a charming village pub with beams and horseshoes. Now it’s been stripped of all its character with harsh spotlights and bland corporate fixtures and fittings. To add to this the place is filthy, particularly the outside seating area. The floor was strewn with litter and cigarette butts, tables were dirty and uncleared from earlier diners and weeds were thriving through the paving. Added to the grim surroundings, the staff happily ignore those standing at the bar waiting to be served and either blank you whilst operating the till or just walk off. Rude. Will not be back; discovered a fab little cider tap room around the corner which gets 5 stars!

Unable to rate as when we visited Jubilee week about 6pm the place looked half empty but staff said they weren't taking any more reservations that day. Obviously do a very good trade if they can turn customers away.

We have eaten here a dozen or so times in the last 8 years but the service has really gone down hill and each time we have gone recently it’s been worse than the last, the service from we got the last time was non existent and the food took twice as long as expected. The manager / supervisor did step in and try to rectify a few things but all in all the experience was terrible.

Nice atmosphere when we went. The Sunday roast turkey was good and plentiful.

Unfortunately yet another bad experience at brewers fare the chain seems to have gone right down hill service was still great but food left alone to be desired 8 meals and four meals were not up to speck why ask how you want you steak done then it turns up and is like a piece of old leather and then a gammon steak which was 80% fat In my opinion not good enough and I'm afraid has put me off brewers fare

Didn't eat here but had a few drinks & played pool a few times while staying in the Premier Inn next door. Staff were friendly and it had a good atmosphere 👍🏼

I have been to the three bells several times and the food has been absolutely wonderful spot on 100% and very reasonable priced looking forward to my next visit

Had an evening meal there, the young lady who served up was helpful and attentive. Food was good and plenty of parking. Had another meal there today, served by a young man great service and again good food.

I didn't eat this time just a soft drink but the staff were every polite

I would thoroughly recommend this pub/restaurant to anyone. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The manager is extremely attentive and always provides a fabulous service. The food choice is nice and varied, the meals for our family are always hot, well presented and delicious. It has a good bar area with pool table and darts area, which helps to keep the whole family entertained. Will definitely be visiting again!

Getting better now it's had a mini refer. Price of beer gone up since last visit although other brewers fayre still the same.

High praise indeed for the manager that was on shift when we popped in for lunch on Saturday 11th December. Having a diabetic son, eating out can be difficult, however since being diagnosed a year ago this was the first restaurant that has been able to provide me with the carbohydrates for the menu my son chose, quickly I will add, and without making me feel I was being a nuisance. Thank you!

Use to stay at Premier Inn but Covid put an end to it. Visited today for coffee and to check it out again, loved seeing 4 darling chickens roaming around the car park. Hope to book again in due course on the run to Xmas and visit The Mill and Lymington.
