Awful service. All ladies of certain age who obviously only interested in eaning money while they can, rather than being polite and friendly, ie basic customer service

Rude staff talking when serving about inappropriate things and slam change in your hands

Brilliant millionaire shortbread, wish we had a shop in bridlington.

The croissants was not freshly made may be they were kept from other day and the vanilla slice was not freshly made may as well very disappointing

Visited this store twice now, first time very rude service, second time, same lady and WOW, this was on another level. Same cold service but actually left the shop feeling humiliated. I asked for a cheese quiche baring in mind the labels said 'cheese quiche' and 'ham quiche' only to be shouted out with such sarcasm and venom 'they're all made with cheese love, which one do you want'. It's not just what you say, it's how you say it. I'm pretty sure the busker down the road felt the burn. Totally unnecessary and just outright rude, she purposely wanted to make me look stupid. Won't be going again, I worked in a bakery for ten years as a manger and I'd be mortified if my staff members screamed that in someone's face. I was polite, said please and thank you and read the label. Left the shop with everyone staring at me and feeling absolutely humiliated, all for asking for what was actually written on the label. Complete bully mentally, avoid this shop.

Bueno, hoy no fue una gran experiencia, en realidad permítanme re - frase que fue francamente horrenda! La señora que servía era tan grosera en particular cuando estaba de pie en la cola para ser servida que presencié el nivel más terrible de servicio al cliente que puedo decir honestamente que he presenciado - la señora que servía a la gente presentó el peor comportamiento - la mujer dos personas frente a mí señaló un quiche de queso y dijo "¿puedo tener el quiche de queso por favor" la señora que la servía entonces procedió a levantar la voz diciendo "todas las quiches tienen queso en ellos, así que ¿cuál es que quieres?" el tono que utilizó y su brusquedad que se podía ver había evidentemente avergonzado al cliente a lo que el cliente respondió con "este que dice quiche de queso por favor" En realidad estoy sorprendido - no me malinterprete la comida es agradable, pero con toda honestidad no es difícil ser educado y hablar con la gente con respeto considerando que el servicio al cliente la mayoría del tiempo es una expectativa esencial que claramente este empleado no está equipado. Soy un alto directivo y he trabajado a este nivel durante décadas , si alguna vez fuera testigo de ese tipo de comportamiento de alguno de mis compañeros sería estricto en determinar cómo terminamos en una posición en la que estábamos reclutando e incorporando a aquellos que ni siquiera tienen modales básicos - no volveré después de este evento y si alguien alguna vez me preguntara si es un buen lugar para ir y obtener comida de mi respuesta sería “sí si quieres ser tratado como suciedad - como lo hacen en los comensales de las Karen que siguen apareciendo por todo el Reino Unido” una experiencia que desearía nunca haber tenido!

Los mejores pasteles de crema en Scarborough! A menudo hay una cola, pero yo no iría a ningún otro lado. No suelo darme el gusto, pero cuando lo hago, tiene que ser de Thomas.

Me encanta ir siempre a Thomas The Baker para pasteles / rollos salados eclipsan a cada otra panadería sin duda. Nunca he comprado algo que no me gustara

Disgusting place and customer service is at it’s worst.

La peor experiencia de sandwich de la historia. Todo el pan duro apenas tenía relleno y se desmoronaba lo poco que había. Y no me hagas empezar con la opción vegetariana del huevo mayo que contenía jamón. Total decepción y ambos bocadillos se fueron a la papelera. No volveremos.

It has a tiny serving area and the staff barricade half of the entrance with these plastic tray trolleys even when it’s open. It is a terrible location. Try making it more inviting and suitable. I will attach a photo so the managers can see what goes on here.

absolutely terrible service from this bakery today the older lady behind the counter has no patience for customers at all the way she spoke was terrible she should pack her job up and let the younger generation step in as they seem a lot better taking to customers nothing wrong with the food but the staff need a overall in my opinion

Ordered 3 sandwich platters, cheese straws and a platter of profiteroles for a little gathering. Everything was exceptional,so fresh and tasty and great value. Thank you so much.

Went here today for afters with my Mum and Dad. Great location in the heart of Scarborough town centre with friendly and professional staff, fantastic font on the shelf-edge labels and lovely food (I had the Pudsey Bear biscuit). Highly recommended! :)

Freshly made cakes, savouries such as sausage rolls & sandwiches in the display windows. Wasn’t much of a queue when we went in so didn’t need to wait long to be served at all. Prices weren’t that expensive either very reasonable for what you get. Service was really good overall.

Always good value. My wife absolutely loves the curd tarts, & I always call in at a Thomas the baker whenever I’m in Yorkshire to stock up on them for her.

I really love the food and coffee from there especially the ham, cheese& mango sandwich. Btw seagulls love it too. So Be careful !!!

Best veggie pasties in the whole wide world. Secret ingredient is a bit of curry powder apparently. Can buy them frozen to eat at home - bonus!

Went in at 8:10 & woman behind counter said "" I'm going to start locking that door "" what ?? Then got a dirty look from her colleague . I asked " are you really open yet " & was told , "no - not really " although she was already serving & chatting to a male customer at the counter . I promptly left & spent my cash at another bakers with manners .

Just been in and spent £5.65 on pasties. Cheese and onion and steak. They were freezing cold and not a patch on Greggs. Gave them to our dog. I hope he is not ill!

Our place of choice for buying baps and other snacks in Scarborough. Good value and choices and we visited on several occasions

Pretty good all round although I bought a sandwich for £3 and basically it was a bun and lettuce and a tiny and I mean tiny bit of chicken and bacon. Basically a total insult.

You can always tell a good bakery by the queue outside. Superb place offering superb value. The gourmet sausage roll was delicious, the kids loved their biscuits and the Belgian Buns were superb. Special mention to the staff here. Very pleasant, worked very efficiently in a super busy shop.

They do date scones which are to die for. Bought them, when someone in front of me bought the last Danish pastry. Hope she enjoyed her pastry as much as I enjoyed the scones. Top Notch.

Tasty and freshly made bakery products. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Staff were in the process of cashing up and preparing to close but the store was still open. The cashier rudely asked me what i wanted and slapped my change on the counter. The customer behind me walked out.

When times get better for us all, this is a lovely bakery. Fantastic bread and roll's. The Smell's are very pleasant. Nice cake's, friendly staff. A nice bakery in which l highly recommend a visit.

Popped in for a Sandwick at Helmsley branch. Almost all ready made sandwiches are on some sort of white bread. I asked for a prawn and egg in brown. Not possible. Only what's ready made. So, a Baker can't make you a Sandwick on brown bread. In fact, there's a serious lack of brown, wholemeal or seeded bread on offer. I'm not a fan of white bread. It's rather dull, if I'm honest! Time to shop St an independent who have the ability to make you a sandwich.

My son has just been in and bought cakes (delicious). Maybe the lady serving was having a bad day but was there really any need to slam his change on the counter.

Chelsea buns to die for. Pasties very good indeed. Sandwiches good quality but rather pricey. Bread, buns and muffins great - try the toffee muffins OMG. Christmas time they have THE best mince pies, and tipsy versions too.

I always go there for a sandwich,everyone who works there are really freindly,beef and vegetable pasties are second to none, not soggy and greasy at all !

Have to get vegetable pasties,from Hershey are an absulte treat,and very reasonable priced.oh and the Danish pastries.

Without a doubt the best bakers in Scarborough if not Yorkshire. Really nice sandwiches.,pork pies and Apple pies. Very pleasant and friendly staff. Won't hesitate in going again. 10 out of 10.

Great selection of cakes pastries breads etc. Always fresh and tasty. Friendly staff. Love the cheese/ham/mango sandwich delicious if a little overpriced at almost £3 so a treat really and not an average work day lunch. They do a 'picnic ' sausage roll at only 17p though so if you know you shouldn't but really want to - just enough to satisfy the craving. Definitely worth a visit. Nice layout - clean store. Cream cakes are amazing.

We always stop here for a cake or savoury when we visit Scarborough. Its located right on the main shopping area and is open early. Everything is fresh every day and there are usually good offers in store. Great friendly service and pastries were lovely.

Delicious! Food is always hot and very very tasty. Staff are super friendly and extremely helpfull, the place itself appears well run, organised and clean. My ultimate fave dish has to be the chicken and stuffing rolls!

This shop is on the busy Main Street and sell a wide variety of snacks, cakes and bread. Prices are good for the quality of the products. Love a yummy treat from here when visiting Scarborough.
