Love this place so clean and the food is lovely I travel from hartlepool to northallerton just for this bakery

The pork pie gave at Thomas The Baker is next level. The pies are offered either a number of great flavours, including chorizo, pickle and more. The meat and pasty is spot on. Various other delicious baked goods are available, all at reasonable prices.

Great place for takeaway food pasties and sandwiches , cakes are great here

Just purchased a chicken salad on a roll omg Thought it was light when i was carrying it!! 4 little scraps of chicken ,one piece of lettuce and 2 small slices of tomatoes .shocking!!!! cockburns in future all the way stay away robbers!!

Mostly good quality, but can be a bit hit and miss. Can’t thick slice a loaf, which is a shame

Really good pastries and at reasonable prices

Bit on the pricey side compared to other similar bakeries yet the quality is spot on including their brilliant sandwiches. Some of their pastries are very different and tasty as well. Staff always pleasant and shops always nicely presented.

Chocolate bats in October are the greatest biscuit in the universe

Pie night. Steak & stilton, home made chips & good beer. What's not to like? Go if you can. And you can, 'cos it's not pricy.

Called in around noon and was surprised by the choice of freshly made rolls withall varieties of fillings. Pies ,pastries,victoria sponge roll,lemmon drizzle rollscones and freshly cooked bread available. Staff very friendly and helpful explaining all availabe including free tea or coffee when purchasing a filled roll. Would recommend this bakers for an award for the high class rolls and cakes they sell. Tasty and well worth the money

The bread and cakes in Thomas’s are very good. There are many traditional cakes and biscuits which are excellent.

Lovely bread but the staff are terribly rude. I stood for ages while one of the 3 assistants served two women with a pasty each. She chatted all the time to one of the other assistants about a problem with the till. She continued to discuss this for a further few minutes after the two customers had left. I was the only customer in the shop. I waited and waited and then another customer came in and was immediately asked what he wanted!!! I was totally ignored. To say I was annoyed is an understatement! Please send your staff on a customer care course.

I often buy sandwich platters etc for conferences at work, they are the best around so fresh and well presented. Sally, Toni and the rest of the staff are brilliant nothing is too much trouble and I can’t thank them enough for all their help and hard work. They go to great lengths to ensure I get the correct amounts of food and they all deserve a massive pat on the back !!!

This branch of the popular local chain serves delicious bread and rolls. In particular we like the bread sticks which are superb!

We bought two lemon drizzle muffins with cream to take away. They were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back.

What a great choice of both sweet and savoury cakes and pastries on offer. We called in for a snack while in Northallerton and ended up with sandwiches for lunch as well as a cake to follow. Good friendly service too!

Affordable first rate bakery - was very busy - a sign of how good it is. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Usual bakery items available. Wonderful smells!

Brilliant bakery. The food is delicious, reasonable prices and much better than Greggs or Cooplands

Great scones! good value for money and made to feel very welcome. Easy chairs so you can get too settled!

Great window display of great looking ( and tasting) cakes, you will feel complelled to buy some to take home.

On our annual trip to North Yorkshire it is always good to visit Thomas The Baker and once again enjoy their delicious wares! Long my they continue!

May 15, 2017 - At the recommendation of our tour guide, we stopped briefly at Thomas The Baker to get a couple of Yorkshire pasty's to take with us. Our guide had assured us that these were some of the best pasty's in Yorkshire and we have to agree. They were reasonably priced, warm, flaky, and delicious filling. We picked up a couple of pasty's and "hit the road" to York. It was well worth the stop at Thomas The Baker.

As a family we love Thomas the bakers, excellent customer service, lovely staff and reasonable prices ......... The best vegetable pasties, strawberry tarts and chicken and stuffing rolls ......this is usually our Saturday treat mmmmmm so good xxx

I love coming to Norhtallerton as we have an excuse to visit Thomas The Baker and purchase some delicious bread and in particular their Custard Tarts. One day I will buy a freshly made filled bap as they all looked delicious!

I've been to many many different bakeries all over the world and this *is* the best. The sausage rolls are to die for, the vegetable pasties amazing, they have a fantastic selection of deserts. I really can't rate them highly enough.

Order to go but went into the restaurant to order because the drive-thru had a long line. We ordered and I asked for them to show me the toys they had so that my daughter could choose and I had to ask several times because it seemed hard for him to understand that she might want the boy toy instead. Besides this they were also a bit low - it did not matter that we were in the restaurant to get quicker service, we still had to wait even though there was no line in front of us. Taste was the usual, restaurant was clean.

We always stop here for bread and cakes as both are delicious and served freshly baked. The staff are always efficient and friendly. We were advised to keep the freshly baked bread in a paper bag and it will not go soggy but remain crispy.!
