Excellent and made to a very high standard (unlike so many places these days) best in Taunton

Lovely place. The lady was welcoming and empathetic. The place is clean and cozy. The food are fresh made and incredibly tasty and delicious. Quick served. Not expensive as the amount of food are large served. I highly recommend this shop and for sure I’ll be back.

Awful place, Took 30 mins for chips and bbq sauce. Chips looked liked a mixture of yesterday and today chips. Bbq sauce was tastless. We wasn't even informed it would take 30 mins. My main issue was the wait time for chips and she came back with her attitude to the review. Not even an apology. It is a real shame she destroyed this once very busy very amazing little shop and she clearly knows she has.

Popped in on way home from an evening out. Brought two lots of chips and curry sauce. Curry sauce was lovely but the chips were so awful they went straight in the bin - what a waste of £9!

Best vegan Chinese restaurant in Taunton - they have an extensive vegan menu and also do some other vegan bits that aren't on the menu. The salt and pepper tofu could be a bit crispier and have more tofu in it, but apart from that it's amazing, really tasty and great value for money! Lovely chips as well!

I was really impressed with The Orient. I was taking the train home to South Devon and needed to change at Taunton. I phoned ahead, and being a call from a fast moving train it wasn't too easy to communicate, but when I walked along, my food was waiting, piping hot and very tasty! Most welcome indeed! Thank you Orient 👍

Nice quiet place, good fish and chips.

The Chinese takeaway is great, and is always generous and well cooked. We use it all the time. The crispy chili beef is too sweet, but our kids love the sweet and sour chicken balls.

Have been a patron for many years, it has changed hands a couple of times but all are or have been asian. The food has remained a constant high standard throughout these years. The only problem is finding a place to park as its on a main road. Recommend

In my opinion the best Chinese in Taunton I've used them for over 10 years and never once been disappointed. The food is always packed with flavour and lovely size portions and the owners of the shop provide consistently high levels of customer service with every visit. By far my favourite Chinese.

I ordered two pancake rolls 0ne spare ribs.Pancake rolls full of greace.As I walked out with my food the owner said they are the soft sweet chips.What she meant was they are the dark soft greasy chips.Im 49 dont take me for an fool I know poor food when I get it.Wont go back poor greasy food.

Two nights running I chose this Chinese , it was so good the first night so I went back the next night..and it was equally satisfying.Plus if you have family freinds that want fish and chip type good then they do that too, so one place for all which unlike usual combo places,is actually very good! Only one issue I found is the parking

Good quality of an English traditional meal. Quite good value for money. The staff are friendly and appreciate your patronage . Only open from 5 pm onwards until 11.

This place is excellent!We only found it a couple of days ago and will be back until we go home to the north!!!Proper Chips not frozen and the fish is lovely!!I know its a Chinese and we will be sampling that tomorrow! Have no complaints at all !!!

I bought some fish and chips which was very bad. The chips were very oily and soggy. Total waste of money and very bad customer service. Worse experience ever.

There is a broad menu of Chinese food. As well as tis is English fish and chips. This company is open 5 pm to 11pm at night Tuesdays to Sundays. It is closed on Mondays
