Theo's Pizzeria in Southwark

Visited Theo’s with five friends for lunch before a theatre trip on Saturday, as it is super close to the Southwark Playhouse. The pizzas were just absolutely incredible! So tasty and huge portions. They also have gluten free bases and vegan cheese. The staff were so friendly, I’ll definitely be back. Thanks so much!

I love this simple but excellent pizzeria. We had to wait for our table, but they had an efficient online queue system, which seemed to work well. Busy but calm vibe; friendly service; pizzas were amazing both in quality and price. This is a find!!!

Convenient location near Elephant and Castle; quick, friendly service. Prices were just right; pizza was delicious, even the reheated leftovers were scrumptious!

My sister-in-law, niece and I were making a brief visit to London and were looking for somewhere for lunch in the area. We popped into Theo's and ordered 3 'sandwiches'. Not only were the sandwiches delicious and really good value, they were delivered quickly and were huge. One of the sandwiches included chilli sauce, and as we were unsure as to how hot that might be, the sauce was on the side in order that we might add it ourselves. A thoughtful touch. My sister-in-law had given me a couple of birthday cards as the post was unreliable due to strikes, and I foolishly left these on the table when we left. The owner kindly chased us down the road (and we had gone quite a long way) in order to give me the cards. We were very impressed with Theo's and the manager and will definitely visit again when we are in the area. Highly recommended

Always have a great time at Theo's. Delicious pizza, great cocktails, friendly and efficient staff, buzzy atmosphere and a lovely space. Very lucky to have it on our doorstep.

My favourite thing I tried at Theo's was the aubergine parmigiana. The arancini had very nice texture but it was a bit bland. It needed just a pinch of salt. The pizzas were ok nothing special

This use to be my favourite restaurant I had my birthday here and took lots of my friends. Today I took my daughter and had a terrible experience. We walked in and were ignored while waiting, no one to say I’ll just be a moment. We were then asked to wait while they changed our table but it was said it such an arrogant manner like I was bothering them. We were welcomed to our table it took a long time for us to be served and while we were waiting staff were using the toilet and taking out dirty loo roll and the mop. I’m not sure why you would carry this through the restaurant. The waitress seemed to be annoyed to be serving us and they had run out of olives? There was a whole jar on the shelf? Or are they just there to make the place look Italian. Pizza was good but I felt rushed out… will not be going again. No Italian manner or friendliness.

This was my favourite pizzeria in London, have been a regular costumer since it opened. Unfortunately with my hearth broken I have to say that the last two times I have been there my pizza was extremely disappointing. I didn't find the regular chef but was the owner making the pizzas and he really made the difference, unfortunately in a negative way. My calzone was small in size and flat (never seen a flat calzone in my entire life !!!!) the pizza as well wasn't good. Found also the owner a bit arrogant when I expressed my disappointment. Won't go back again and this is a real shame !

I don't often write a review for a restaurant but felt the need to after having such a positive experience in this particular restaurant. We had a walk in booking, and the woman serving us was so lovely. I loved too how they had gluten free options. Really delicious pizzas! Highly recommend Theos, Elephant and Castle.

Delicious pizza, amazing tiramisu and lovely friendly staff. Pricing is very reasonable! Will be back.

9/10 great pizza would defo return toilets clean and reasonably priced not much to fault apart from starter came out as same time as main

On reading the good reviews thought I would try wish I hadn’t bothered ... they didn’t have one of the starters to start on asking for my pizza well cooked both of our pizzas where sloppy messes while eating some one decided to spray what smelt like mr muscle everywhere while eating made my food taste like disinfectant not impressed definitely wouldn’t bother with going back there

Grate Pizza! Original taste of Italy!!! They do not accept reservations for 2 people! Good and fast service!!!

It started soooo well a year ago! Finally a new place at the Elephant. It was a great pizza when they opened. NOW twice in a row the take away pizzas were too thin, a terrible soggy middle and the ingredients didn’t seem to be fresh. The tomato base tasted of tomato purée, the salami pieces tasted old and the dough too sour and the edges were burned. I asked the staff to cut the pizza and it wasn’t done. The staff changes as well frequently and everyone super professional since the start seems to be long gone. Please improve it all again!

Amazing pizza! Discovered theos about 2 years ago, was so excited when the elephant and castle location opened also. The aubergine pizza is amazing! Delicious dough and great aperols! Always always recommend!!

You will have the best sourdough Pizza in London. The chilli sauce on the side is amazing. I cannot have any other pizza now. Real good!!
