First visit to this restaurant this evening after recommendation from a family member. Lovely welcome from the manageress who explained the different dishes and how spicy they might be! We all had lamb dishes were delicious and melt in the mouth! We also had various starters which we shared and they were all very good! Will definitely go back! It was very quiet, I only hope this was because it was a Sunday evening and that the place gets more customers!

Amazing food and brilliant music. What an absolute gem in Watford. Not enough people know where this is, such a great vibe. You must come!

We came as we had booked at Avabar and it wasn’t good so this was our back up plan and it was lovely. The staff were very welcoming and talked us through their aims and their menu. Food was lovely- a bit different from a typical British Indian restaurant which we really enjoyed. Lovely to have some music in the background.

Not great, food was nice but nothing you can’t make at home. Very overpriced. The ladies loo doors do not close because of the tile ceramic rail. The waiting staff are very hesitant. All over deep clean is needed, drop the prices. It’s a great location.

Don’t bother going here as prices are very high, portion sizes very small and menu item names are fancy but food is blend. I had the boiled egg item and it was 3 boiled eggs with onions on it. So don’t bother ordering this. Just making fancy names for items doesn’t make it a nice restaurant.

We had an incredible experience at Thekka, situated in the heart of Watford town center. Finally, we had the opportunity to indulge in Delhi-style momos and the incredibly delicious butter chicken. We are thrilled that an Indian restaurant combined with a pub has finally been introduced in Watford after a long wait.

Wow! What an incredible experience at Thekka. I never realized we had an authentic Indian restaurant with a touch of fusion combined with a superb bar. The experience was fantastic, and I will definitely recommend Thekka for a gastronomic adventure with flavorful food, all under one roof. The service was excellent. Will be back soon

Delicious food. Much more interesting and varied dishes than you often see. Menu options designed more to be a sharing and grazing experience over a relaxed timeframe with smaller plates. We ordered one round of dishes to try first, then ordered again. All the staff were really friendly and explained the food, the portions and the best way to order. Really lovely meal and the food was freshly cooked and full of flavour. Plenty of veggie and vegan options. Will go again.

Visiting friends in Watford who took us to Thekaa. It was their first time too. I believe they are recently opened. The menu isn't the usual Indian Restaurant fare. But I would say "proper" Indian Street food. We shared four starters, all of which were superb. We each had a main course and I tasted the others. Brilliantly cooked and well spiced. It's billed as a gastro pub and it's a title that fits very well. Go there if you want different and stonkingly good Indian food.

This restaurant is quite new & not your typical Indian restaurant. The staff are very friendly & can explain the dishes in detail. The menu is different in the fact that the dishes are based around Indian street food, that is why the pub is “bistro “. The atmosphere is very relaxed & warm. If you want a quiet relaxed evening with tasty food & drinks, this is the place.

A pub with Indian street food. There is a lot to like about this new place. The people who run the place were really lovely people. Taking time to help us with food selection, and also taking time to chat to us after eating too. The food wasn't top notch, but it was enjoyable and good value. The alchohol (draft and even cocktails were really competitively priced - one might even say cheap!

What a great meal! We started with some cocktails. An excellent Old Fashioned but the Kahn’s cocktail was incredible. Dinner was lamb thali, skewers and a couple of sides. All terrific, accompanied by a reasonably price Argentinian Malbec. Followed with a shared mango kulfi which was really good. To finish the best espresso martini my wife has ever had and a Chivas for me. If we lived locally we would be there regularly. Give it a try, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Incredible food, and really lovely service. Best Indian food I've ever had in Watford. Staff were incredible and owner came to talk to us too to explain some of the history behind the dishes. Good value for money too!

I wish I could give this restaurant no stars DO NOT GO THERE AT ALL. Everything about this restaurant was bad the food service atmosphere. We decided to order 2 starters and because the food was so bad we decided to leave and go somewhere else however when we tried paying the bill they were rude and screaming at us because we didn’t order more food. They refused to give us the bill and when we tried paying the guy made up a number for us to pay. We got screamed at by them the food was disgusting so I would suggest you do not go there and go where you can get your moneys worth because this place is not it. Furthermore the whole time we were there they made us feel very uncomfortable by looking at us weirdly and secondly by forcing us to order food we are customers so it’s our choice what we want to eat. This place needs to be shut down!!!!!!!!

I used to be a regular customer at Mint, but my recent experience was disappointing. I ordered chicken fried rice, but it took over 1.5 hours for the delivery to arrive. Not only was the food undercooked, but we also found hair in it. When I tried to address the issue with Ameen, he seemed too busy to listen and hung up on me. I've been ordering from this restaurant since 2021, but after this bad experience, I've decided to stop. Sorry, Ameen. It's a shame.
