Attractive hotel in a great spot. Friendly staff and also managed to secure parking on my visit.

The helpfulness and friendlyness of the staff doesn't make up for the lack of facilities in the room. No double glazing- when the afternoon sun went down the heat drained out of the room. Also it meant at 5.00a.m the next morning the traffic noise started. The heater in the room has no instructions on how to use it so I had to call the front desk to operated it and leave it switched on. The bathroom although large had no shelves,so nowhere to put anything and the same for the shower. The only place to put shampoo and soap was on the floor. And finally the television had continual picture break up or lost altogether. Hotel was clean though. Due to the lack of room facilities I could only rate this a 3 star hotel.

Had a lovely overnight stay at the Yorkshire Hotel. We stayed in one of the rooms with a balcony which was nice. I'd rate it higher but I can honestly say this is the first hotel I've stayed in for as long as I can remember that didn't even provide some water for the room. Almost £250 for the night (with parking) so forgive me for thinking it should be a given. That said the room was lovely with a huge TV, comfortable bed and a good double shower. It was nice being able to lie in bed with the balcony doors open letting in the crisp Yorkshire air. Breakfast was decent and the views are great if you manage to get a window seat (breakfast is on the 5th floor) All in all it was a nice stay and the location is perfect.

Overnight stay for reasons. I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer since the free WiFi was weak at best. For one night, it was fine. Single room, which means second class, but the bed was comfy and the TV worked. The bathroom was bigger than the bedroom. Helpful staff. City centre location (some noise because of that). Basically no parking; do not be fooled.

Great location in the city, we walked everywhere from here. The staff were great. However the room was not amazing; very hot in the summer, and we had strange noises coming from the main light appliance that meant we didn't sleep all that well. They did give us a fan to combat the heat, but it was also noisy and unfortunately wasn't effective enough to justify the racket it produced. Honestly though I might stay here again if needed, just maybe not in the summer.

Room was a good size. Bed not very comfy. Breakfast was pretty good and the choice was excellent. The thing that let it down badly for us was not being able to get a table for an evening meal on our last night. I asked at 11.00am and was told no sorry we are full. Thought that it was really bad as not even offered a table at the bar or room service. We decided not to stay for our last night because of this.

Ideal location, but very pricey for what you get ! Breakfast ok but not worthy of the price, no extras in the room. Parking a problem if your not there early to get a space

Hotel from the front looks amazing as was the entrance and the out door drinking area .shame there was no waiter service here as s long way to go to fetch drinks . Reception was very helpfull checking us in as we were early by 2 hours .lifts are small and we were hit by a very strong smell of swet fronm a cleaner who was doing rooms on leaving the room it was still there .may be a word on personal hygiene for staff wouldnt go a miss .room was ok we didnt like the two single mattress pushed together and the view was terrible but there must of been worse ..hint ask for a room at the front of the hotel . Deco was getting tired and tv was looking like it had had better days . Coffee and tea making area was handy as was the iron .. morning breakfast is up stairs and was amazing .plenty to choose from fresh and tasty in a comfy relaxed area . Bar area is nice plenty of cocktails .. we were dissapointed with the room but the rest of the stay was ok .On the down side when you are staying here add on the parking per night see photo for prices .shocking .

I stayed in a single room here, which was clean, comfy and a good size for a single room. The breakfast buffet was really enjoyable. There was a great range of options available and the view from the 5th floor where I had the breakfast was great. The hotel was opposite Betty's Tea rooms and only a 5 minute walk from the train and bus station. The only downside was getting woken up at 2am by a couple having an argument outside. It was a Bank Holiday Weekend so lots of people were out late.

Stayed here on our way home to the West Country we stay almost every year. And this year was just as good as previous years. This year we stayed in house opposite the room I believe was called Braxton? It had a shower over the bath and a nice sized bathroom. The bed was huge and very comfortable, there ware extra pillows/blankets etc in a wardrobe if needed. There was kettle and cafetière with coffee bags. The breakfast the next morning was all cooked to order and great poached eggs. I would highly recommend this hotel and will be staying there again next year. :-)))))

Gluten free review for the cafe: I visited the Druid’s Temple today and went to the cafe for lunch afterwards. Gluten free cakes and sandwiches were available. I had an ultimate hot chocolate and a trout and cream cheese sandwich (GF bread), and I’m sad to say that neither were very flavourful. The hot chocolate was weak and watery, and the sandwich was very dry. It’s a shame because the setting is so beautiful! A word to cross contamination, I have reacted to the food that I had, so I suspect that the chopping board used for my sandwich may not have been cleaned down before preparing my food (or similar). There was also a gluten free chocolate brownie which was in the same cabinet next to gluten containing cakes, with tongs that customers could use to select their own cakes, but no separate gluten free pair. If anyone from the cafe happens to read this, from coeliacs and gluten free people everywhere please could you make sure that cross contamination risk is limited through simple measures such as cleaning down a surface before making gluten free food (we don’t mind waiting a bit longer for piece of mind!), and that GF cakes and sweet treats are kept separate and using separate tongs etc? When we find places that don’t gluten us we share it heavily in the community!

Where do I start.. venue is beautiful and looks amazing! Forhat was our waiter and he was always checking our food and drinks were ok and could not do more for us! The espresso martinis were the best we have both ever had and food exceeded expectations! Overall an amazing experience and we will definitely be revisiting!
