Amazing food. Staff so accommodating and service excellent. Was recommended by a friend and so glad we took her advice. Roast dinner , all the trimmings and wow where do they get those sausages from ?

A lovely welcoming pub. Cosy areas or a lighter conservatory out the back. Went for lunch. Delicious steak and burger followed by gorgeous desserts. Friendly efficient staff too, will definitely go again.

First visit:- 5th May 24 My wife and I were recommended the Yockleton Arms by a good friend and a very good friend she proved to be with this recommendation! We visited the Yockleton Arms for Sunday lunch with 4 of our friends and I have to say on arriving at the premises I was a little apprehensive to say the least because as mentioned in a recent review “a bit of construction work was going on” and scaffolding was covering the front of the building. As we entered the car park at the rear of the building we could see by the amount of vehicles it was a popular destination for many. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and from arrival to departure the service was slick, professional and attentive but not intrusive and we were made to feel valued. We all had various selection of meats and agreed the quality was excellent and the accompanying selection of veg exceeded our expectations as well as being excellent quality and being cooked to our liking it was the largest choice I have ever had when dining out. Second visit:- 23rd June 24 On this occasion our son and family accompanied us and enjoyed a similar experience as our first visit and we all agreed it was the best Sunday lunch we had enjoyed whilst dining out! The seating arrangements are nicely positioned with plenty of space between tables. There is a large car parking area at the rear and what can only be described as a lawned field as a play area and a patio with benches by the side of the property. Well done The Yockleton Arms! Trip advisors rating on this occasion was spot on!

My family brought me here for a Father's Day meal today. So glad they did. The location is stunning, being set in the beautiful Shropshire countryside. The grounds are immaculate, as is the decor inside. All the staff are really friendly and attentive. Even though the restaurant was full, we never felt as if we were being ignored. The drinks, starters, mains, and desserts were all brought out at exactly the right time. It was lovely that all the staff were smiling and made you feel special. The food was incredible. We all enjoyed every single item on our plates. The flavours were delicious, and left you wanting more. The amount of food per serving was spot-on. For a meal like this, most people would be happy to pay well over £50, but our 3 courses only came to £29 (plus drinks). Perfect. I honestly can't think of a single bad thing to say about our meal. Give it a try and I'm sure you'll agree.

We were staying locally for a night and needed a place to eat. The Yockleton Arms was suggested. We weren’t expecting much - my, how wrong were we. An incredibly warm welcome when we arrived, our favourite drinks served in beautiful glasses. The menu was small but covered all desirable options. Hubby had the lamb, I had the steak, ale and mushroom pie. An amazing meal, so sad it’s not our local! Some of the best food we have ever eaten. Will definitely be incorporating a return visit if we are ever in the area again. Highly recommended.

The food here has always been excellent and as such have visited numerous times. Unfortunately, our latest visit was not the best. We were left waiting for our food for around 45 mins with no explanation or regular check in. The young girl who served us really needs a lesson in customer service. We asked for two glasses of water which was presented on the table in such an abrupt manner it really did surprise us. I asked for the bill and 20 mins later had to go and ask for it again explaining to the young lady that we feel that we have not been attended to very well and that I was still waiting for the bill. She was very apologetic and that was that, I was happy and felt she was very genuine. However the other young girl came to the table and just through the reception on the table and walked off. This was the last straw for me so I asked to speak to the manager. I could tell when she arrived to speak to me that her attitude was very prickly and felt she was not going to be bothered with my concerns. I decided to remain calm and as such the conversation was respectable. Unfortunately though, We still left there feeling that there was no real concern from the team on what I had said. I did say at the time that we would still come back but after reflecting on the situation, we have decided that we will not return. I was given the feeling that I had no right to complain or express my concerns.

Bit of construction work going on at the minute so didn't look the best on arrival but turned out to be absolutely lovely. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Great food and service, I had the fish & chips and my partner had quote “the best cooked steak I’ve ever had” The kids had the burger

We visited on Easter Sunday for my birthday. Food and drink orders taken very quickly. Food and drink arrived quickly too. Sunday lunch was amazing value. We will definitely return when in the area again.

Amazing Sunday Lunch and possibly one of the best we have had in a long time. The beef was beautifully tender and delicious hot vegetables to accompany. Super friendly staff and great atmosphere. Recommended.

When booking our table we were told it was Italian 🇮🇹 night, we thought let’s give it a go. Wow weren’t we pleased we did. £20 for 2 courses , excellent value for money, and the food was amazing. We have visited over 100 (non chain pubs) pub/ restaurants in Shropshire and this was by far one of the best. Not only was the food really good, the staff were attentive, and the pub was very clean and fresh, smelt good too. We loved the little mice hidden about in plain sight too.

We can't rate this place enough. We've just had the most amazing meal. Great menu that caters for everyone. My husband and I chose the pork belly bites and the salmon moose off the specials board for our starters. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. For mains we had the sirloin steak and the katsu chicken burger...again both dishes were yummy. Even though we were full we couldn't miss out on their fabulous biscoff cheesecake. Everything was made from quality ingredients and fresh. The service was excellent, friendly and polite staff who made sure that you were looked after. It was lovely to see the place so busy as it created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A huge credit to the chefs, the waiting staff and Suzanne for an exceptional evening. 10/5*

Absolutely amazing place. Lovely atmosphere, open fire to welcome you. We have drove past many times and thought we would give it a try tonight, New Years Eve. I booked via email and response was quick and informative regarding menu. The food was out of this world, we had; a pork roast and homemade pie with additional vegetables. Piping hot food, which is a must for us and was plentiful in portions. The staff were sooo pleasant. Will definitely be returning, really impressive. Exceptional value for money.. ☺️

We visited in a group of 18 for the Christmas lunch menu on 15th December. Cooking was superb. All food piping hot and delicious. Extra gravy as standard. Nothing was too much trouble. Me and my fiancé had a lovely meal here tonight. We have just got engaged this weekend so this was a celebration and it was lovely, staff were very friendly. We had the festive menu and it was the three course. And we were very full and satisfied when we left. Well done. we are not from the area but if we are ever back we would definitely come again.

What a find and not far from the door step. We have been meaning to come here for a while and now we are definitely going to be regulars. I have to say one of the best Sunday lunches we have had, the beef cooked to perfection. The vegetables just perfect with the added bonus of cauliflower cheese. We did sample some desserts and WOW!!! We did leave a little but that’s only because there was no room. Staff extremely attentive, completely on the ball and really welcoming. We have already booked a table for next week. Thank you all.

My wife and I had been meaning to try this place for some time but just didn't get round to it. However, we went with our family for Sunday lunch and I have to say it surpassed out expectations. Our group consisted of 5 adults and 2 children and we so well looked after. The service was first class and when the food arrived (from a diverse menu) , was generous size portions of beautifully cooked food. My wife is vegetarian and they even brought some vegetarian gravy for her. There is ample parking and the place is in beautiful surroundings. My wife and I definitely will be visiting again and very soon.

Amazing staff and delicious food. Me and my friend heard only good things about things about the food here and decided to try it out. I went for the pork + apple sausages for main and I couldn’t fault it, and the warm Belgium waffle for dessert which was perfect. The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming, highly recommend!

Came in for lunch and wow I was impressed! Attentive staff and exceptional attention to detail with the presentation of food. I had the Mini Crispy Chicken Katsu Salad for starter and I can see now why the staff were raving about it! The Katsu mayo was to die for! 😍 For main I had the Crispy Halloumi Ciabatta and added on chips. The portion size was great and the triple cooked chips were lovely and crispy. I only wish I’d had room for dessert, I’ll definitely be back again so that I can try their home made White Chocolate and Raspberry Roulade. Lovely atmosphere and overall fantastic dining experience! 🌟

We came with friends on a Saturday night, one of my customers recommended that we try it, We were pleasantly surprised and decided to opt for the belly pork - friends had the fish & chips and the vegetable curry. Then we all decided to have desserts the tiramisu ice cream and the cheesecake which was THE best cheesecake I have eaten. Full marks to the chef a fabulous evening all round

We went for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. The quality of the food was excellent and probably the best Sunday lunch we've had in a long time. The staff are excellent and can't do enough for you. Booking highly recommended as a walk-in table is probably unlikely due to this being a popular venue for lunch.

Staying at the nearby Cartref campsite this pub was only 10 minutes away. Called in for dinner and they were doing a 2 course special for £14.95. Nice choice on the menu, food was delicious. Would recommend this pub.

We visited the pub with friends for Sunday lunch.What a fantastic experience it was ,the Sunday lunch menu was both varied but appropriately traditional.We have bought a caravan in the Marton area and have had Sunday lunch at many of the local pubs but none come near the Yockleton.The food was tasty,plentiful and clearly presented with love.It was clear that Chef loved his or her job and wanted to give the customer a proper Sunday lunch experience.At seventeen pounds for three courses this was an exceptional Sunday,we will be back and please don’t change anything.Thanks The Carters

Booked in last minute for Sunday lunch and it was very good. The food was great, the best Sunday lunch we’ve had in a while with plenty of vegetables to go with it. Food was quick and staff were on the ball. Very Covid safe, all staff wearing masks and cleaning tables in between serving. 100% recommend and will return again!

This pub has pulled out all the stops to give good service and good food in very difficult times. The staff are lovely and a quizz night was achieved with no hold ups on the food and drinks which had to be served at the table all at the same time.

The atmosphere of this restaurant was lovely, accompanied by polite and friendly staff. We were impressed with the social distance measures that were in place. As well as this the food was excellent quality and they served great size portions. I would highly recommend!

My husband & I have been regulars before 'lockdown' & always enjoyed the food & ambience. I was unaware that they had continued to 'do' take away meals until this weekend. After ordering 2 meals we were delighted with the quality & size of the portions....8 different vegetables were counted with the roast beef dinner. The restaurant is now open but they continue with the takeaways too. This is a little gem & worth more than 5 stars.Well done Suzanne & Chrissie.....we will be back!!

We have lived in the area for ten years but never popped in for a meal. Now we realise what we were missing. The food was amazing. I'm a fussy eater but every meal our party ordered looked and tasted fabulous. We cannot wait to go back. The staff were brilliant too and we didn't have to wait long for the food or drinks. We popped in for a meal boy are we glad.This is the best Guinness I've tasted for a while.The food was super standard for us both.I had the gammon with home made chips and it was to die for. Cooked perfectly and the chips were definitely freshly made and gorgeous. Partner had scampi and homemade chips, again top notch !! We also shared a bowl of onion rings which were definitely homemade and lovely batter with real onion inside.So good we had to have desserts I had Belgian waffle OMG absolute heaven perfection. Partner had the chocolate brownie, again perfection.It's also dog friendly and ours was accommodated without fuss.The staff were very smart in their uniform and very chatty and poilte, a credit to the establishment !!After looking at reviews from the latter years can only imagine a change of hands or an open eared owner.A ++ Definately coming back

This pub is a proper country pub and always made very welcome by Suzanne and her team. The food is always cooked fresh and loads of fresh veg which I adore. I could just order vegetables.
