Nice and clean. Helpful lady working the bar. Unfortunately another lady was sat at the end of the bar she had 2 dogs which sat and stood on the bar. The bar maid was feeding, cuddling them. Then serving customers without washing her hands. If they had been serving food I would have contact the council immediately. Won’t be returning

The food was excellent Tuna melt salad & homemade chips.prices good .The only fault I had was the dogs .The owners dog although friendly was allowed to walk around the pub freely, then she picked it up & continued serving customers if I’d seen this before eating I would not have stayed very unhigenic.

Me and my friend came here last week for lunch. There were short staffed but it was a Wednesday and wasn’t that busy in the pub. We were sat out the way from other people. It is a relaxed atmosphere. The food was nice, love proper home made chips. And we had a couple of drinks. We have been in here a few times.

We went as a family for a meal, my husband went the week before and raved about the parmo and proper chips. We had to sit outside as it was busy, my dad was told off for touching the menu, all infection control, however after ordering it went back on the pile! Disappointed when the meals came out that they weren't home cooked chips, just your bog standard frozen. The garlic mayo didn't taste much of garlic either. However, the parmo was thick, large portion and some of the staff were friendly enough. There's meant to be a one way system, however noone sticks to it, we found it challenging as one of our family is disabled and had to walk all the way round, one thing to bear in mind if walking is a issue for you. The toilets could do with a update. But overall a pleasant experience and due to the scheme, didn't cost much for all of us.

Often come here for sunday lunch it's always very tasty, great yorkshire puddings, meat is tender choice of beef, chicken and Pork, veg is cooked properly and potatoes and veg well seasoned. Tastes close to home made. The pub has a large conservatory where you can sit away from the bar area which is a bonus. Definitely one to try if you fancy saving on the washing up on a Sunday.

Arrived for food and drinks with family including children and our pet dog. Warmly welcomed, a charity function was on which we contributed to buying homemade cakes which were lovely. The children ordered meals which were served with complimentary ice cream for dessert and they both cleared the plates. Drinking water was provided for my dog. Staff were polite and friendly and the cost was reasonable. Will definitely be visiting again.

Title says it all! Love the choice of draughts available. Was harrassed by a big lad with glasses, he can't pull a pint nor make a shamrock on a pint of Guinness. Pulled me a carling instead, and it had a bigger head then his bald mate that was with him. Having said all this, a simply lovely venue, great location. Just a shame there's a wild small dog on the loose.

We recently stayed with our friend in Linthorpe Middlesbrough and we visited the Yellow Rose twice in our 3 day visit. The Parmo Chicken was amazing and the chips were fantastic! I had that both times. The staff were really friendly and it is a lovely traditional pub. We come from Norwich and you can't get a Parmo like that here! We did miss the place when we got back home.

Think I will start and come back to the Yella the buffet we had was really lovely and fresh and the meals I saw coming out the kitchen looked lovely . The place was packed so thank you yellow rose you've got a cracking team there xx

I went to the Yellow Rose with my mum and sister recently and I thought that it was really nice. The food was great and the portions were massive, we could hardly eat it all. The price we made was excellent as we got the 2 for £10 option. I think because the pub has been taken over my new management, it has gotten better over the past few years and more people are starting to rave about it.

Popped in on a Saturday lunch time about 12:15, sat down and looked at the menu. All meals were 2 for £10. Drinks were what I expected to pay in any of the Middlesbrough Pubs, we given samples of a speciality lager we which ordered. As you can tell by the picture the size of the meals is over what We expected, especially on the 2 for £10 deal. Great place for a chat, food and drink. We will certainly be coming back.

Visited today with my 4year old daughter and 1 year old neice, arrived at 11.45am for lunch. Food isn't served until 12pm, couldn't even order before that time. Bought drinks whilst we waited and was served by what looked like 2 13year old school!! Was charged £6.50 for half a coke, half a blackcurrant and water and a pint of Orange and Lemonade. Finally able to order food, ordered a kids fish fingers and chips was asked if I'd like a large on so I agreed. Thinking the 2 girls could share a large one.... arrived with 2 fish fingers and about 10chips (God knows how small the small is). Floor was filthy, 2 wasps flying around the family area.Would not recommend this place if your looking for food or your bringing your children. Definitely not a family place. Decor needs updating and the place could do with a good clean. Won't be returning!!

Came for a late Sunday dinner after seeing a 2 for £10 offer. I opted for beef and was happy with what I had, especially for the price. There was ample food on my plate and the veg and gravy came separate with plenty there too. The food could have been slightly hotter,l as the only negative. The best part was the fantastic service received from the lady working there. Who constantly was chatting to our little daughter and making her feel welcome. Will come again.

Came for an early Sunday meal, decided on on the burger so got one for me and one for my partner. The food itself was nice enough for pub grub. However the menu says served with salad - this was missing! Also the barmaid never asked if we wanted any sauce with our meal. When I went back and asked for some ketchup we were presented with one measly saucer of it between the two of us.

Arrived very early for an outpatient appointment at James Cook University Hospital today and thought I'd get a drink and wait here but it was so crowded and noisy that I couldn't face it. I kept on walking and proceeding along the Orange Route I came across The Hideaway Coffee Shop, which was indeed hidden away behind the Rendezvous Restaurant and mainly frequented by hospital staff. Although a bit run down and scruffy in parts, I got both a mug of tea and a nice slice of Victoria Sponge for the same price as a cup of average Costa coffee. The cheese scones looked nice and homemade, while fruit scones had sold out. I enjoyed sitting outside in the courtyard area and arrived nicely refreshed for my appointment.

Terrible, never again. I ordered an eggs benadict, costing 8.50. I’m vegetarian and it wasn’t advertised as having meat (pork bacon) i wasn’t advised when purchasing and advised the young waitress that we wasn’t aware when the food arrived, she offered to remove the just the bacon and give us the remaining item, I advised no due to dietary requirements (halal). The waitress went back and spoke to the manager who advised her that I would need to purchase again if I wanted a new one without bacon. I turned it away and didn’t purchase a new one. I went back to speak to the manager. she was sorry and if she was our waitress then she wouldn’t have charged us. I saw the young waitress asking her at the time, however the manager apologised and offered to give us a new eggs Benedict, I advised no, as we’re finished and had to head home. She said next time we come she would give us one - free of charge. I advised I would not be returning. Absolute terrible service. Customer service was appalling. Please avoid. Overpriced food.

My first time being here, and experiencing Middleborough life. Menu could be written to say which is vegetarian, the Mac&Cheese had small pieces of bacon in it, not good if you don't eat meat, but overall we all had a good time, lovely people and good service.

Was excited to see it re-open . Sadly it must be under new owner etc. All food is the poor quality cash and carry bought in stuff that every other take away has . All cook pretty well , chips arrived a bit soggy , all bread items a bit chewy buns and pizza base, ie not th freshest . Was cheap enough to compensate for new poor quality .

My son and my husband got a bacon sandwich each. The lady who served us wasn't rude but not what I would day welcoming. The sandwiches had a full on slab of butter on which was really off putting. Not amazing 😕
