The Wyvern in Taunton Deane

Place has gone downhill lately. Did the Friday quiz but it was uncomfortably cold in the room for everyone. Service and staff good but price increases (due to their financial difficulties) have been put up beyond many of other town pubs.

The Wyvern Taunton is no longer a club it is now a pub but still does good food and the staff are very friendlyh

What a great find! We found it on maps as a halfway (walking) stop between town and where we were staying overnight! Good choice of drinks, lovely atmosphere, quick service. Highly recommended 👌🏻

I have visited many times over the years, mostly for training events. Always reliable, nothing fancy. Buffet lunch has updated over the years, more inclusive, tasty, enjoyed by all. Friendly staff.

Excellent value, good, simple food. Fantastic quiz night.

Private member's club, but can be allowed in with a Camra card, although only the manager knew about this, serving staff were quite dismissive that the card is valid. Warning, Camera state a discount is offered in thier book and app, however no such discount is applied. 3 hand pumps on offer, well kept tribute went down well. Live sports on large TVs, food is also served.

Bar staff are great/ friendly ... A very useful hall we use for choir practice.

Went here with my son & daughter in law. Joined family for Sunday roast. Enjoyed it very much.

This is a Great family club. They show lots of Sport, and drinks are some of the cheapest in Town

Always a enjoyable experience food always for a club menu excellent nicely presented and quick service. Lovely friendly staff. We are lucky to have the Wyvern as our local.

Lovely venue for my friends evening party

The place is always amazing, but we went to the kids Halloween disco and compared to previous years the DJ’s left much to the imagation, such as a personality. Come on guys it’s a kids party 🥳🎃

Last time I visited was before the smoking rules changed... we visited last night .. was really impressed .... staff were great and atmosphere really relaxing.

Hosted my husband's celebration of life & funeral party here. Staff were friendly & very accommodating. Wonderful buffet. Highly recommend enjoying the Wyvern.

The Wyvern is great. Food is fantastic value, always piping hot, tasty and the portions are very generous indeed. Exmoor is a good pint and most of the guest beers are exceptional. All of the staff are very friendly and efficient. Looking forward to coming back very soon.

Good Club play a lot of sports there but I was only visiting a friend but if your a member you get discount off drinks also serve food

I cannot thank Martin and the staff enough for their co-operation and service for our charity event last week. Everything was perfect - from beginning to end. A wonderful venue with a fabulous friendly atmosphere. Look no further if you are planning an event inTaunton.

Lovely food very reasonably priced and good beers, again at very good prices. Nice to come for a bit of food and a chill and as members, get 15% off. Nice atmosphere too. So much better than The Harvester in my opinion.... Rather come here!

Nos metimos en el Club el wyvern con nuestros amigos y tuvimos una agradable velada. He escuchado mucho acerca de la Guinness, tuve que probarlo! Realmente era tan bueno como se decía que era, tanto así, que tenía que haber una segunda, para estar seguro!

Great cheap food and real ales and ciders.

Muy buena elección en el menú y los niños los amuma son excelentes. También tienen una tabla de ofertas, lo cual siempre es bueno. Sin duda no te hambre como las raciones son enormes y el personal es fantástico

Grupo de nosotros reunidos aquí para una reunión. Saludo amable y servicio de bar. Vino aceptable por copa, otros disfrutamos de elección de cervezas cask. Cena buffet muy adecuado y abundante. Un club deportivo más de restaurante o pub, pero ofrece una buena opción para aquellos que viven en el lado sur de la ciudad. La alternativa tanto para ir a la ciudad a una milla o conducir a Corfe, etc.
