A table for 2 midweek, Ellie our waitress was very attentive but in a lovely way. Food was really tasty👍will be revisiting as it’s a local.

Lily our waitress could not have been more helpful and attentive especially with our disabled friend. The surroundings were very welcoming.

I’d like to thank Lily, one of the brilliant bar staff at the Bathpool. Every time my friends and I visit, she goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her kindness, attention to detail, and genuine warmth don’t go unnoticed, and she always makes sure she comes over to see us and say hello, no matter how busy she is. My family and I have been coming to this pub regularly for the past 18 months, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best around. The staff are consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, it makes such a difference to the overall atmosphere. No matter how busy it gets (and it’s often buzzing, which is great to see), the service never slips. It’s a credit to Nick, Ellie and the rest of the team that the pub is thriving the way it is. The food? Always spot on. Whether it’s a quick dish or an evening meal, I’ve never had a bad dish. Everything comes out fresh, well-cooked, and exactly as expected. I’ve seen the odd negative review here and there, and of course, you’ll always find someone who wants to complain. But in all the times I’ve been here, and that’s a lot, I’ve never had a single reason to raise an issue about anything, whether it’s the food, service, or staff. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out.

Food was lovely and Ellie was a great server

Some members of staff ignored us when we wanted something. Food this time was not great. You couldn't have any more sauce on the chicken Katsu, which didn't have enough. When we asked for more, we were told we couldn't have anymore. The mini bakewell deserts were dry.

Attended this establishment after watching the rugby. Very poor service from the barman who was simply rude and arrogant. Outside tables were dirty. Thoroughly not recommended. Expensive too!

Came for Sunday lunch on 23rd March, all we have to say is it was an all round fantastic experience from service to food and atmosphere, our waitress Elle was amazing .

What a delicious roast, perhaps the best pub roast I have ever had! Turkey can sometimes be very dry but this was so perfectly cooked! Everything was super yummy and I would most definitely go again and recommend the Sunday lunch to everyone! Also the server Izzy was lovely!

Roast dinner was a bit dry and veg was under cooked the fish and chips with mushy peas was cold not the best for the money

We came here before Christmas and it was amazing so chose here to come back for a birthday meal with the family and did not disappoint, the food was exceptional and the staff were amazing even Amy our waitress was so lovely she is an asset! Thanks for having us see you again soon!

Popped in for a little pub lunch on a Tuesday, lovely atmosphere and interior as I think it’s been recently done up in here! Great food and huge portion sizes, our waitress Lily was super lovely and friendly, gave us advice when asked about the menu and recommended some dishes. Super attentive asking if we needed anything. We had never been here before but we took a chance and booked a midday meal for New Year's Day and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious with a great variety on the menu. The service was brilliant, we were served by Lily and we couldn't have wanted for anything more, nothing was too much trouble. All the staff we encountered were happy and helpful. Great place to eat and we will definitely be going back.

This place def has the wow factor it was and 👏 I booked a table for 1pm and were seated in and old conservatory area on the left near the toilets.Our server I believe was called alinee she had long dark hair and finished at 3pm.She was great great humour and like all the staff kept on top of all the tables which impressed me as in hospitality myself.The food was insane I had the roast lamb omg best roast dinner I ever had and I had a few my family had the pork belly and was so impressed it was such a great main meal and every bite was a sheer delight.My gran had the crumble it was massive and def worth the money and I had the sticky toffee pudding yummy it was. The place was spotless even the toilets def recommend it here the food was insane and so was the ambience and our server was so lovley and made sure we had everything we needed I was impressed I def be back as it was so lovley I returning Tuesday for another meal thankyou again

We visited on the 27th December at 14.00. My daughter and I haven't been to The Bathpool Inn for some years. The last time it was known by another name before the brewery/owners changed it back. A lovely looking pub. Log fire going, a smile and hello from the lady behind the bar, and an easy, find somewhere to sit and order at the bar instruction. The pub was nice and busy. Lots of families. The menu is a kind of upmarket pub grub style. Veggy options are alright, actually. My daughter asked for the vegetable and halloumi skewer with chips and coleslaw. I went for a couple of starters and some chips. Aranchini and the fondue mushrooms. With a dandelion and burdock drink and tonic water, the bill came to £48.10. The food is alright. The aranchini was a bit bland even with the giant cous cous with beetroot and pesto. The aranchini was cold, not what I expected. The fondue mushrooms were nice, nothing special. My daughter halloumi skewer she said was 'alright'. She ate it all. The halloumi was cooked nicely, and the red onions and peppers had a good colour. For the money (£18.95) it was not great value. (The same price for the dead animal based skewers, too). The food is ok, definitely better than most pubs in Taunton. We will return and try something else next time, maybe the sticky toffee pudding.

We had a wonderful meal at The Bathpool Inn mainly because of our wonderful server Lily - she went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful evening and I’ll definitely be back!

Great place, great food, great staff. Went for a big family get together pre Christmas and we all really enjoyed it. As we were a big group we were asked to pre order our food, most of us went for one of the roasts but not all of us so it was nice to have 'normal' menu options available as well as roasts. The service was excellent, we were offered sauces without having to ask and before and throughout the meal we were asked if we wanted more drinks. We were looked after by Ellie who was really helpful and efficient, she dealt with our various requests with a smile. The food was also really, I had a veg wellington roast that was lovely, roast potatoes were great, as was the Yorkshire and the veg, my other half had the trio of meat roast which he said was very good but he felt the beef was a bit bland, some of our group ordered the side order of cauliflower cheese and really enjoyed it. As a group we found we had the right amount of veg, but not enough gravy, however we asked for more gravy and were brought extra any without any questions. Some of us had puddings, it was great to have the mini pudding option with a hot drink too. Our only criticism of the puddings were those that were having custard had a very small amount and would have liked more but after asking for extra gravy we felt a bit too cheeky to ask for extra custard too. Toilets were nice and clean. Decor of the pub attractive and a good mix between traditional and contemporary. Summary highly recommended and Ellie was wonderful.
