We had never been here before but we took a chance and booked a midday meal for New Year's Day and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious with a great variety on the menu. The service was brilliant, we were served by Lily and we couldn't have wanted for anything more, nothing was too much trouble. All the staff we encountered were happy and helpful. Great place to eat and we will definitely be going back.

This place def has the wow factor it was and 👏 I booked a table for 1pm and were seated in and old conservatory area on the left near the toilets.Our server I believe was called alinee she had long dark hair and finished at 3pm.She was great great humour and like all the staff kept on top of all the tables which impressed me as in hospitality myself.The food was insane I had the roast lamb omg best roast dinner I ever had and I had a few my family had the pork belly and was so impressed it was such a great main meal and every bite was a sheer delight.My gran had the crumble it was massive and def worth the money and I had the sticky toffee pudding yummy it was. The place was spotless even the toilets def recommend it here the food was insane and so was the ambience and our server was so lovley and made sure we had everything we needed I was impressed I def be back as it was so lovley I returning Tuesday for another meal thankyou again

Lily was our waitress and she was very helpful and great with kids, checking in to see how our food was. The food was delicious, pork belly was cooked perfectly.

We were greeted & seated by Lily who was really nice and welcoming. Ordered the Sunday lunch vegetable wellington & a side of pigs in blankets, was all really tasty. Found all the staff to be friendly and attentive. Look forward to returning.

We visited on the 27th December at 14.00. My daughter and I haven't been to The Bathpool Inn for some years. The last time it was known by another name before the brewery/owners changed it back. A lovely looking pub. Log fire going, a smile and hello from the lady behind the bar, and an easy, find somewhere to sit and order at the bar instruction. The pub was nice and busy. Lots of families. The menu is a kind of upmarket pub grub style. Veggy options are alright, actually. My daughter asked for the vegetable and halloumi skewer with chips and coleslaw. I went for a couple of starters and some chips. Aranchini and the fondue mushrooms. With a dandelion and burdock drink and tonic water, the bill came to £48.10. The food is alright. The aranchini was a bit bland even with the giant cous cous with beetroot and pesto. The aranchini was cold, not what I expected. The fondue mushrooms were nice, nothing special. My daughter halloumi skewer she said was 'alright'. She ate it all. The halloumi was cooked nicely, and the red onions and peppers had a good colour. For the money (£18.95) it was not great value. (The same price for the dead animal based skewers, too). The food is ok, definitely better than most pubs in Taunton. We will return and try something else next time, maybe the sticky toffee pudding.

We had a wonderful meal at The Bathpool Inn mainly because of our wonderful server Lily - she went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful evening and I’ll definitely be back!

Great place, great food, great staff. Went for a big family get together pre Christmas and we all really enjoyed it. As we were a big group we were asked to pre order our food, most of us went for one of the roasts but not all of us so it was nice to have 'normal' menu options available as well as roasts. The service was excellent, we were offered sauces without having to ask and before and throughout the meal we were asked if we wanted more drinks. We were looked after by Ellie who was really helpful and efficient, she dealt with our various requests with a smile. The food was also really, I had a veg wellington roast that was lovely, roast potatoes were great, as was the Yorkshire and the veg, my other half had the trio of meat roast which he said was very good but he felt the beef was a bit bland, some of our group ordered the side order of cauliflower cheese and really enjoyed it. As a group we found we had the right amount of veg, but not enough gravy, however we asked for more gravy and were brought extra any without any questions. Some of us had puddings, it was great to have the mini pudding option with a hot drink too. Our only criticism of the puddings were those that were having custard had a very small amount and would have liked more but after asking for extra gravy we felt a bit too cheeky to ask for extra custard too. Toilets were nice and clean. Decor of the pub attractive and a good mix between traditional and contemporary. Summary highly recommended and Ellie was wonderful.

Love it here! Plenty of yummy food, lovely service and great decor. Worth a visit, we go back frequently.

Lovely staff, a nice atmosphere and a cosy meal for two was enough to have a nice evening. The restaurant was so clean and had great touches around the place. The food was great portioned as having a 3 meals course was enough to fill me up with happiness as the food was delicious. Our waitress for the evening was so friendly and had such a welcoming aura, she was a gem! Also they have charity donations which was great aswell! Overall it was a great experience. Thank you for the great evening and will be back soon!

Very nice Sunday lunch and good portion sizes. Cosy pub and good service. Dog friendly which is a bonus so will bring the dog with us next time.

Dinner with friends , Called in from a day out with friends. What a lovely pub with a warm cosy atmosphere. Felt welcomed from the start by Nick. Ellie was our waitress for the evening she was very prompt and we were all impressed with her efficiency to detail and lovely smile. Lot's of choice on menu and very well cooked. Lovely evening will happily dine here again.

Lovely atmosphere and brilliant food - we arrived in the middle of what seemed a huge rush period but were treated well and didn't have to wait long. Our server Daisy was kind and sorted everything out brilliantly. Top notch, will come again (the cloudy lemonade was intense!).

Personally I didn't like the Sunday roast. I had the trio (beef, pork belly and turkey) and only the turkey was ok. Roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese (extra £5 for that) with no flavour at all. And £9 for a frozen crumble that is a completely rip off. Expensive for what you get. The service was good though but a bit slow.

Out standing service and the food was out this world

Popped in for a few beers but at £5.05 for one bottle of Corona beer ( 330ml) then just the one it was, of course I understand there needs to be mark up for profit but there is a balance between a fair profit margin & getting absolutely ripped off, false economy as if the pricing had be reasonable then would have stayed for further drinks & possibly a meal but decided to go elsewhere.

Group of 14 of us. Had a great time. Food was great as was the service from Ellie. Highly recommended.

The food was amazing, staff were friendly and cleared the tables once finished which I like as nothing worse than sitting with dirty plates. We were coming for the full menu but short staffed so only Sunday Roast available but well worth it!

Went in for a pint to join colleagues on a leaving drink celebration which was pre organised. The person the served me didn't look like they wanted to be there at all. Can understand maybe a bit stressful but maybe try to be appreciative of the business.

Our server Amelia was lovely, very attentive and looked after us well. Food was excellent, steak cooked perfectly and skewers 😋 Very local to us, so will definitely be back, thank you. My only slight negative is that we were given a return visit voucher which ran out yesterday. Nonetheless we will be back, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, excellent service and quiet atmosphere 😊

Ellie & Edward are exceptional… being a chef trying to find from of house staff is very difficult and these 2 are sorts hard to find. As for the kitchen there is a serious team in there to clearly, as the attention to detail is fab . Great night xxx

Really nice looking pub/restaurant really cosy! Staff were really welcoming very friendly. I think food is the biggest issue. Food is at a very mid standard but charging absolutely extortionate paid £18 for a few chips and and 6 seasoned bite sized chicken chunks on a skewer no veggies on the skewer either nothing special about it I think they are trying to be more like fine dining without putting the effort in. However I do not blame staff for this as to my understanding it’s a chain so the people on the computers run the company and decides what goes into the food! I think a few changes this could be an amazing place to eat but in my opinion super over priced compared to what you get. Also mango in a side salad is very very weird didn’t like that personally. Made the side salad very slimy. Burgers that came out looked amazing however they didn’t have any left unfortunately:( just my experience… however I’ve hear the roasts are really good there.

Been out shopping and decided to pop in on the off chance as didn't know what times the food were served. Food was very good!! Ordered the signature burger and I wasn't disappointed, proper burger! Also the lamb skewer was ordered on our table and the lamb was to die for so full of flavour and tender. Waitress and bar staff were lovely. Will definitely be back again. Shame I didn't have my phone to include photos.

First time back for Sunday Lunch since it was the New Mill, rather disappointing, service was very slow and the Trio Roast was barely warm. Not sure how the potatoes are roasted, but we're soft and collapsed when cut. Had to ask three times for the desert menu. Apple and Blackberry Crumble was excellent.

Very friendly pub, Brad served us some fantastic espresso martinis. Highly recommended.

Had fish and chips, really nice. Plenty, couldn't eat all of my meal.

Have to say our visit on a Saturday around 15:00 was very underwhelming. Service was incredibly slow which was surprising as the restaurant wasn't very busy and the beef brisket sandwich, whilst it tasted good was tiny, the bread was so thin. It's a lovely looking Inn but unfortunately, not one I'll be returning to in a rush.

The Sunday lunch was amazing as was our waitress. It was probably the best Sunday roast we haveever had and our 17 year old said his burger meal was the same.

It was my birthday, my husband asked for a rose , it was there and a birthday card from you. The service was excellent as was Grace and Michella who looked after us, and then desert candles and written In Chocolate Happy Birthday and they sang+ a bottle of Prosecco what more could a girl ask for. Fantastic evening.

The service from the table waiter was excellent. The main course was very good. The 40minute wait for dessert was ridiculous . It was ice cream! The dessert- honeycomb dome £9.50, sounded amazing on the menu. What was served was thoroughly underwhelming and not worth £9.50. The pavlova didn’t fair much better with a near inedible meringue base. The most disappointing thing was when heading to the toilets, I heard the waitress asked very politely in the kitchen , with the door open, how long desserts would be, the way the chef spoke to her was disgraceful, his food wasn’t at Gordon Ramsey levels and he certainly doesn’t have the right to speak to the staff like Ramsey does, we all know that is just for TV. It is no wonder they are short staffed in there.

Our waitress was in need of some customer service training, her whole attitude was that of someone who didn't want to be there and wished all the customers would just hurry up and leave. The food was dreadful, I ate very little of my meal and when I mentioned that it was less than lovely, the waitress asked me to 'explain exactly what was wrong with it'! Will not be returning.

Living locally have been a regular visitor over the years and was excited to try it after the refit. It looks great and has a good atmosphere, seated quickly with a great menu selection. Everything was going well up until the food arrived when it was presented to the table with no ask of whether we wanted sauces or anything else. We waited a minute or 2 as an item we had requested when ordering also hadn’t arrived but no one came back. We watched as group of 5 staff members stood around the bar area having a meeting which dispersed when I inconvenienced them by asking for some sauces. The food was great and I would highly recommend it but they are missing the finishing touches on service when delivering the food and not saying goodbye which is a shame. This place has the potential to be brilliant once they start focusing on the customer.
