Great , especially the staff where lovely

I booked an area in woodworkers for my friends 30th birthday. It was an absolutely seamless process and all the staff were really lovely. The area was great and was close the bar. The communication was great so I knew exactly what to expect. The service was brilliant and we had a great night. Couldn’t recommended more highly - thanks so much to Woodworkers for such a great night!

A great spot for either a quiet one, a few pints with friends, watching football or some food. The food menu has good variety and there are some good vegan and vegetarian options.

Alcohol free options are great. Always something new on tap to try :) staff always accommodating - would always recommend for drinks/food for any occasion!

Food portions were very generous. Staff all very friendly spent the full afternoon and early evening in the bar really enjoyed our day there

Very good atmosphere and good food. We tried the selection of beers and cider. On the upper floor there is a terrace and a room with pool tables.

The waitress was very helpful, explaining how the comedy night package worked. Food didn't dissappoint.

Lovely spot, very easy to reserve a private area for a birthday, staff are great.

Booked here as part of Comedy night in Laverys. £33 for ticket,main and any drink.(even a cocktail). I had massive plate of honey chilli chicken and truffle mayo skinny. Husband had goujons. All really tasty and plentiful. Friendly staff and good service. Wld recommend.

The cafe bar is beautiful, the atmosphere is stunning and it's such a gorgeous wee spot! The food was nice, bit disappointed as they had run out of the food I had originally wanted but it was still enjoyable. The service from staff was terrible. Staff were more interested in standing round talking near or at the bar, and once staff dropped off the food, they didn't come back again to ask about getting more drinks. At times staff were rushing past us to another area of the building and then at times there weren't many staff around. When they did serve us, or get the bill it felt like they couldn't have been bothered. It's a real shame as it is such a beautiful spot, not sure I'd return.

This was my first time eating in the Woodworkers - I’ve been in for a flight or two of the lovely ales before, but this time we went in for a pre show meal before Lavery’s Comedy Club on a Thursday night. The food was gorgeous, and was a really big portion, really tasty, and we were allowed to take our lovely pints of Pillows ale from Boundary Brewery in Belfast upstairs with us - cracker wee night; really friendly staff, all round pleasure to be there!

Great selection of craft beers, I think the best in the city. Plus a bar showing sports is connected next door, so best of both worlds!

1st class service food excellent atmosphere brilliant

We went to the comedy show, pre booked the dinner, I arrived early and didn’t have to wait for my reserved table, it was a quiet Wednesday evening, I enjoyed the chicken and chips, American dinner style in a plastic tray, yummy sauce. We went up to the comedy show as the doors were closing and missed out on our seats but that just meant we had easy access to the bar 👍 excellent Guinness . Good job guys.

Meal booked for myself and two friends on Superbowl Sunday. The food was phenomenal, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back again.

Had to wait 40 minutes for starter (calamari, big portion and tasted good). However my partners fish main course was still frozen and I had a very stale bap with my burger. Service was shocking overall too and it wasn't even busy.

The workshop is a great wee private area, no issues in a large group getting round one table and hearing the craic. Food was champion and so was the service. Will do it again

All good. We had booked a table for five people ahead of time hoping we would have a good spot but unfortuntely got the smallest table and where squashed. So probably wouldnt bother to do that again. Food was grand simple but good choice esp for vegan and veggie.

Cannot knock the brilliant bar and setting. Unfortunately let down by the underwhelming food and service. Staff are cold and the food wasn’t far behind. This place has great reviews and menu to follow but if you’re after home cooked decent food give this place a miss. Really disappointed.

Spacious, great place, clean, nicely kept. A selection of craft beers on tap. Excellent fish & chips! The only downside was the service, which, despite the almost empty place, wasn't particularly interested in us when we sat down at the table. On the first floor you can enter the billiard rooms.

Went in on a Thursday night before the comedy night as part of the deal. Sat for 20 mins before we were even given a menu, the staff took no notice of us after being sat down. Then, I had to go back up after another 20 mins and ask if we could order food. The chap then realised we had been waiting longer than we should've and offered us a free drink because of the rubbish service, and apologised, which saved this review from being a 1 star! The food was fresh and tasty, which we couldn't fault. Beers on tap were great. Because of all this long waiting time meant we were last into the show and had to sit at the front row. Good value for the money, but we spoke to others who had done the same as us and agreed the service was terrible, staff just standing around chatting amongst themselves at the bar, management need to take a look at this, they have a really good vibe in here, awesome to see gender neutral toilets, it was so annoying that the service really let them down here.

The flight board is great for beer tasting and you can choose whatever beer on their menu screen, at about 2gbp per glass. We went there on Sunday night and the bar was not busy. Kitchen closes at 9pm.

Was in on Wednesday night to get something to eat before the comedy show, took a seat ordered some drinks at the bar and then ordered food to the table from the app, food was nowhere to be seen after 40 minutes, my gf went to the bar and asked for an update on the food it some how magically appeared 2 mins after she requested an update, food was cold, missing items that we ordered which we requested twice and still didn't receive them by the time we had finished. Would have asked for refund but was in a rush to get upstairs for the show, staff didn't seem interested and provided poor service, rude and not welcoming. Disappointed as it wasn't cheap and won't be back.

Pub for grown ups, relaxed nice atmosphere. Great staff.

Really enjoyed our visit here. The staff were absolutely wonderful, super friendly and helpful. Plenty to choose for food AND offered gluten free which is great as my partner is coeliac. It was super busy when we went but still managed to get a table but would probably recommend booking in advance!

Don't know about dinners we just had a plate to share just popped in for a couple of pints

Tasty pub food and a great selection of drinks, including craft beers on tap and cocktails. But it took ages for the food to come. Not a huge problem, but still. Plus the acoustics were a bit here and there. Still, would go again. Staff very friendly and many apologies for the delayed food.

Hosted a social #locksport meetup and staff really looked after us (also sweetened the deal with a taster rack to give out as prizes) Will be back again!

The food tasted good here, we had a platter to share. Staff was also very nice to us. We enjoyed spending the evening here and can recommend it to everyone.

It's ok... Tries to be a craft beer bar but doesn't really pull it off 100% in my opinion. Doesn't really have the atmosphere (although I was in on a busy Friday), the beers were mainly imports on my visit when more local stuff would be better (obvs luck of the draw). I was told no half pints available, but it seems they are, plus taster trays! In a craft bar you want to try the various beers so that's a positive thing. Review amended due to good feedback from the owners and explanation of the issues!

I was booked in for tonight (06/07/2023) for Dinner, after reading a woman's review, the women's toilets are based in a different building and instead there are just men's toilets and "geneder neutral" toilets, I decided to see for myself and came in earlier today. This is indeed the case, The females of my group felt this would make them highly uncomfortable to have men share the same toilets. Obviously not having just men and women's toilets is some sort of politcal ideology, but when there are only two genders and you have two available restrooms.. why not just designate them Men and Women's? I myself am not comofortable with my teenage daughter having to share toilets with a man in a dress and neither is she. I will phone to cancel my reservation.

Booked the private space for free. Could hold about 30 people. Food was okay, nice drinks selection. Music in the small room was way too loud and not that good.

Excellent selection of beers, nice atmosphere

The place has amazing potential, very classy decor and there were a lot of options on tap, but they had run out of half of them. Most options left were lagers, which I'm not particularly fond of. Ended up trying a Pale Ale and a stout, which were actually pretty good. The girl at the bar was super chatty and friendly, apologised a thousand times for the limited options that night.

I liked the place, very authentic. We only went to have a drink, and although the cocktails are tremendously expensive, the beer is well priced. It wasn't very busy when we went but the atmosphere was pleasant. It is very well decorated and conditioned, it is quite cozy to have a good time.

Awful! 1. The food was really poor. Think the sweet potato fries were done in the microwave and the "Mexican chicken burger" was processed chicken 2. The menu was very bland. Not a great selection 3. GENDER NEUTRAL TOILETS! My wife was putting make-up on while 6'2 men walking past her. Not on

Visited as a larger group (7). Now I do have to preface this with the fact they were very helpful moving our booking from Friday to Saturday last minute when our plans changed, however our group was sat on two separate tables which was a bit of a shame. Food was lovely, only improvement would have been to have some gravy included on the side with the lentil cottage pie. Steak and Guinness pie was divine, and all the portions were very generous. Brilliant selection of drinks, and great service too.

It was a blustery day in Belfast and I was in need of some sustenance to warm me up. And where better to do that than at The Woodworkers? These chicken wings are the stuff of legends. Crispy, juicy, and slathered in that spicy buffalo sauce - I was in wing heaven. But it wasn't just the food that made this visit so memorable. The Woodworkers knows how to pour a proper pint of Guinness. And pouring four in a row is no problem for them either.. I got a bit too carried away with those pints. Before I knew it, I was saying a cheery goodbye to the team and I almost forgot to pay the bill. (I didn’t and they handled it very subtly) That aside, I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at The Woodworkers and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for some top-notch pub grub and a pint or two."

Busy bar with a kitchen. Good spot for a drink. Only tried one of the food items, the Budda bowl. Chickpeas we’re too many and difficult to eat the all as they are so dry as they’re roasted. Good size of prawns as an added extra. Girl serving me was rude, never saying thanks or looking me in the eye.

The cocktails are great especially the expresso martinis but the food not so much as the chicken goujons were incredibly dry therefore I couldn’t eat all of them. The ceiling was leaking near us & my friend got partly wet so had to move. The ground near that particular table was wet which we alerted staff to and after they cleaned that they allowed others to sit at that table yet did not tell them about the leak coming from the ceiling. Hope yous get it sorted guys!

So worth a visit for their tab beer

Booked a table for 6:30 for 10 of us, food orders were taken and then taken again for some reason. By 8 o’clock we still had no food, the manager suggested cancelling all of our starters to speed things up, we weren’t happy about it but agreed. Food was cold when it came out at 8:15 When I asked the manager to try and make up for the terrible service, he said that he’s already done us enough favours by cancelling the starters and throwing the half cooked food in the bin, when it was his suggestion.

Popped in here with my brother after a meal to try some better beers. Waitress was a great help and thought the beers were a reasonable price, tasted great and went down a treat. Our only problem was that we asked 2 cab drivers to take us. One blanked me completely and one didn’t know where is was so I had to show him on my google maps. I think maybe it’s part of Lavery’s and you need to ask for that. That’s a guess though.

Food was great and the atmosphere was better. The staff are friendly and helpful and when asked about gf have menu specifics but also said if there was anything I liked the look of just to let them know and they would check if it could be done gf. High level of cleanliness and a pleasure to go to! We will definitely be back. Portion sizes are decent with the kids being even better 5*

We ate ourselves senseless here because there were so many cool vegetarian and pescatarian options and we had only one evening. Also drank well and cheaply. Lovely vibe. Enormous pub with different sections, different atmospheres, and it was so good to be in a mixed crowd of students, locals, youngsters and oldies. Friendly staff. Excellent range of craft beers, and whiskeys. We came for an hour, stayed 4.

We visited The Woodworkers for lunch when we arrived in Belfast. I had looked up places to get different craft beers and the Woodworkers did not disappoint. Drinks: there's a great selection of beers on offer and you can opt to get flights of 6, 8 or 20 beers 🍺 We went for 8 between 2 of us and it cost £12 which was great value. There's also the usual wine and spirits selection for the non-beer drinkers. If choosing a flight, you pick up a board of choice from the wall and fill out a form with the selected beers and bring to the bar though there was no forms printed when we were in. The barman was super friendly and helpful. Food: Where to start?! The food was so good. We got the loaded nachos (which are available with vegan options) and the chicken khatsu curry fried between 2 of us. We probably would have got more but a couple across from us got the nachos and we saw how big the portion was before ordering. All the ingredients were really fresh, the khatsu curry sauce was a bit sweet reminding me of the curry flavoured crisps. We always stay in Benedict's Hotel when in Belfast and we are delighted there's such a fab food and drinks venue right across the road. Our first visit and definitely won't be our last.

This is the best restaurant that I have ever been to. We were on our holiday and it was recommended on the bus tour to eat at this restaurant I could not fault anything about our evening. The staff was very welcoming and the food was absolutely superb. I highly recommend you book this place for a nice meal out in Belfast

Stopped in for a quick pint after spending the day exploring the city. Very diverse 14 taps of micro brew. Staff was very friendly. We sat on the rooftop which was a nice relaxing atmosphere.

Great selection of beer in a chilled out atmosphere. Enjoy heading to this place as they always pitch the music at the right level. My friends and I always use this place to catch up. There is so much to like about the place. It is in a good location too and the clientele is a good mix.

Great pub with nice food. Was there for a birthday party and we were able to reserve the snug area. It's a big place with plenty of room and a huge smoking area at the back. They have board games there which is a novel idea and there was plenty of competition between my Niece and Nephew playing chess which was fun to watch! Sounds funny playing chess on a night out but it was good fun especially as they become more under the influence 😉😁 I think there was a large number of craft beers available but I don't drink so can't comment on how good they were or what selection there was.. All in all I would go back. Good atmosphere, great bar food (served up to 10pm which is great) and plenty of space.

Great place, nice food, good environment

Walked all the way from the centre of town in the hope of good craft beers. I was hoping for a sour. 9 IPAs and 3 stouts. That was it. I asked if they had a sour in a can. They didn’t know what I was talking about. Very dark and dingy inside. Staff chatting and laughing instead of serving.

Welcoming staff, lovely environment for a glass or two and a chat with friends.
