Very quiet and zero atmosphere, pins dropped and definitely heard!

I came tonight to The Errigle Inn for valentines dinner with my wife and both had great food. The flavour was insane. It’s nice to see effort being put in to vegetarian options now as most places just do whatever is easy. 10/10.

Yet another fantastic Six Nations weekend in the Errigle. 🎉🍻👏 I cannot sing the praises of all the staff upstairs in the Arbele Lounge loudly enough. All were under pressure with the large crowd, especially today, and all performed brilliantly, smiling and always friendly. One of them was constantly pouring pints of Guinness. 🍺😊👍 I'm a regular in the Errigle, and I thought today all the staff did an exceptionally good job. 💯💪🥳 Thank you all. 🙏💖✨

Honestamente, estaba teniendo una noche divertida. El personal era muy agradable y amable y el ambiente era bueno, aunque tranquilo. Me alojaba con un amigo y me habían recomendado el bar. Lo que realmente me arruinó fue una interacción entre un gerente arrogante que interrumpió una conversación que estaba teniendo con una de las licitaciones del bar. No solo fue grosero con la persona del bar, que solo respondía a una pregunta que le había hecho, sino que fue grosero conmigo cuando me atreví a decir que la interacción fue mi culpa. Definitivamente habría recomendado el bar, ya que el ambiente es muy frío y bueno, pero esa persona realmente arruinó la noche para mí. Además, una bola de mierda total.

Caminé alrededor de mi local a las 7 pm para reunirnos con amigos para cenar. A su llegada, el gerente estaba despidiendo a la gente por reírse... en un pub. Comimos una comida promedio, disfrutamos de nuestra compañía, pero no fuimos bienvenidos a alojarnos. 33 años aquí, mediados de enero, unas 50 personas. Creo que si quieres convertir un pub en una biblioteca este es el lugar. Brutal.

Went to the Errigle for dinner and the Grime and McKee Christmas show. Meal was grand and the service pretty good considering how busy the bar was. The Ulster match had just finished when we arrived. The show was upstairs. Seats weren't allocated so was a bit of a free for all. Show was pretty good, but not worth the 30 quid or so as the seats weren't allocated and the bar was packed during the interval. I think the ticket cost was similar to the lyric last year but a much better setting.

Great venue for a gig, place was buzzing!

The bar staff in The Errigle are now among the best in Belfast. Excellent service.

We visited the Errigle en route to an Ulster/Leinster game and stayed there for a couple of oints. This is a decent pub, one of the few in walking distance of the Kingspan stadium. The pub was very busy with a mix of match goers and customers out for a bite and a pint. The staff seemed to be under a little pressure due to the numbers there but maintained a good, efficient and friendly service. We didn't have food but what we saw looked good and those eating seemed to enjoy it. I'd definitely go back.

November 2024: Further updating this post with an image in response to the below Errigle reaction. April 2024: I am editing my review as part of a complaint against the rip off prices of the Errigle. It has gone way too far and I have also heard they are trying to hustle the other pubs on ormeau to up their prices as well. Disgrace of a place who don't give a damn about local people and the cost of living.

Great spot for a few pints before a match in Ravenhill. It gets extremely busy on a match day so get in early.

We called in today for what was supposed to be a full roast dinner well I received 2 tiny squares of meat two little hard roast potatoes spoonful mash no vegetables and the price was £19 !! I was speechless how can you possibly justify that! Unfortunately it was returned to kitchen I assume they had run out of food it was scandalous and years ago the roast dinner was always lovely but its a disgrace now.

Very cosmopolitan bar/restaurant with an eclectic range of beers, & a choice of some 3 or 4 real ales. Food excellent and staff always eager to please.

A nice place for a pint. Staff are friendly and there are several different rooms, the main room, a sports bar, the oak which is quiet and no screens and the upstairs rooms and rooftop. There is a large selection of drinks. It is, however, quite expensive for both drinks and food. We waited well over an hour for food, and then we were given the wrong order. We waited over 30 minutes more for the ordered food to arrive. The staff were apologetic but it was expensive and definitely not worth the wait. The Monday night quizzes are great but you have to arrive really early to get a table. The drinks here are quite expensive pretty much £6 for a pint. The thing it has going for it is that there are several bars so you can usually find a place to sit when there isn't an event going on. Vaping seems to be permitted inside which can make it uncomfortable for others.

Perfect place to watch sports, have a meal. The steak is nice! Also good atmosphere for social ones on the weekends. Door staff polite and the crowd is decent too! Update: They have added extra space on the top above the middle bar, where each seating area has a TV. Class spot!

I Organised a group lunch in the Errigle for 10 people. A great lunch menu , with a wide choice of dishes to suit everyone, (including celiac) The service was excellent and the food first class!

Multiple rooms, great vibe, sports if you want, live music sometimes in the back room

Great pub and very tasty food. I do feel that the pints are very overpriced at £6.45 for a pint of Guinness which is a lot more expensive than city centre pubs and more locally The Parador does a great pint of Guinness for £5.10.

Overall great couple of hours as a Pitt stop before Belsonic. Food lovely, not packed and staff helpful, not super friendly but efficient. I would have liked a bit of light background music to get us in the mood for concert.

Great evening at Coeliac AGM. Errigle Inn as usual provided great quality gluten free fish and chips. Staff friendly and helpful.

Fantastic would recommend, a proper boozer one side and a family restaurant on the other, something we're lacking where I live. The barman was called Paddy he was a legend he should think about starting a business training people up.

im told the terrible food is due to two chefs leaving , the grub is rotten cold and greasy, this has been our experience this year on three occasions, the staff and locals have told us the food is crap and so it is, a daft reply to this from one of the many managers wont cut it , nobody in there gives a damn, meals one three visits are roast dinner the spuds were like bullets, meal two the gougons are now small and dripping with grease, the onion rings now small hard and stinking, the steak sandwich bread soaked in grease, rest crap, ERRIGLE needs to sit down and eat this expensive food and then sell it,,

Great spot for food, very laid back atmosphere with good food and a good selection of drinks. Nothing too much trouble for staff and they don't keep you waiting for your food. I have been going here for years and its always good, very consistent. Only downside is the parking can be a bit of a problem depending on when you visit but it doesn't put me off.

Nice experience. We were early, so didn't get to experience a proper atmosphere, but it had a nice vibe. Staff were very friendly. The Guinness was top notch.

Popular and warmly welcoming bar/restaurant at Ormeau - Belfast South. Tempting but still not pricey menu, friendly staff, well chilled Guinness and more craft samples on tap. Good live music on regular basis. Can be pretty busy during weekends so resevation is recommended.

Great spot to visit before and after going to the Kingspan for the rugby

Spent NYE in The Errigle. Brilliant band,Mothers little helpers. Danced all night. Very friendly people and atmosphere. Will definitely recommend to others. 4 people over from Manchester said how much they enjoyed the night too....

With a group for a Christmas Lunch. Very well organised and great atmosphere. Food was very enjoyable and if there was any slight fault it might have been the length between courses. Must admit it's far better this way than being rushed through it. Staff very pleasant and very professional. Thanks to all

In the words of the great Annie Lennox whyyyyyaaawhhhyyyy WHY did you get rid of the outdoor heaters ? The heated seats heat the bum whilst the rest of the body experiences hypothermia. As the most expensive pints never mind on the road but also up there with some city centre prices surely that will pay for some new heaters . Outside is like a ghostown when once upon a heated time place was hiving !!

I just don’t understand why they took away the outdoor heaters, seat heating doesn't work and as it is the most expensive pint on the road with the most outside space…seems worth the investment?!

A poor representation of fish and chips for £15. So much better pub grubs places in Belfast. No matter what people say the Guinness here is poor. Is there anywhere on the Ormeau road that has a good pint of Guinness?

£6.50 a pint! My glass was dirty and the drink hadn't even settled when it was plopped up like a bucket of slops. No effort for very high cost not worth it, plenty of other bars on the Ormeau Rd worth the visit.

Went for trivia night. Love the atmosphere and history of the place. Had a Hendrisk's Special. Could have been a little more generous with Hendrick's, in my opinion.

Had a fabulous meal here. Staff were great very polite and helpful. The food was amazing we will definately revisit. Very reasonably priced and the service was excellent

I only have one little problem with this great pub and that's the price of Guinness. £5.95 is extremely expensive. I don't know The price they charge for other beers and lager's.

In the Errigle to watch the Ireland v New Zealand rugby World cup quarter final. Great atmosphere, good Guinness and great company. Shame about the result.

Visiting the area with 2 kids and a dog. That makes dining out a bit complex (often dog welcome but kids not and vice versa). Errigle has a comfortable outside seating area. Perfect. Great food. Friendly atmosphere.

Service 2/10 Good 1/10 Frozen Yorkshire pudding, tough roast beef and deep fried potatoes, they should have paid me to eat it. 2nd time at it and the last time, stay clear!

We have good days and bad days but that day must have been a BAD day. The staff were friendly enough but everything just seemed to take so long and seemed very confused when ordering. It must have taken a good 20 minutes to get everything sorted and even then, it wasn’t quite right but by that point, I was happy to just get to back my seat. Speaking of seats, the placement of the tables outside seemed a bit odd and was highlighted by way of a water feature appearing under the table when it started to rain. Niche but undesirable and unnecessary. The food was ok but not great. I had the roast beef which was, “alright”. The amount of beef on the plate was staggeringly large (I’m not complaining about that) but it seemed out of balance with the rest of the meal and a bit of quantity over quality. My friend had the chicken burger which he said was really good but we had to send the chips because they had all the appearance of a foodstuff that had been cooked under the hand-dryer in the men’s loo. The one star for atmosphere is largely based on time of day because it was early afternoon on a Sunday so one star is quite unfair really. Overall, I’d go back if I was hungover and hungry but it wouldn’t be on the top of my list.

A "proper" pub, the inside is especially interesting. Three cask beers on sale along with a big range of mostly local craft beer on keg and in can. Have heard they do good food too. B easy to reach on the bus from Belfast centre, but beware of early closing times ...

Reliable local which I've been going to for years now. Food has went downhill a bit recently, and the price of pints going up. Still a good local, and it is the best pub in town when Ireland rugby is playing.

Paid £6-7 for a portion of cauliflower wings and only got 3… staff were friendly though

First in after Stormont Parkrun for the huge Errigle Fry .Didn't disappoint cooked to perfection followed by a well poured pint of Guinness.

The Best pub in South Belfast,biutifull food and perfect to watch the Rudby mach, divided by several room's with diferent screen's Must go.

Food was simple, delicious and abundant and the staff were so pleasant, helpful and recommended dishes from the menu. Sometimes people forget just how good the Errigle is and how relaxed the atmosphere. This was a local for a few years and I miss not nipping in after work. Highly recommend for a chilled, relaxed vibe and lovely food and staff.

Made the most of the the sunshine and had a great meal on the rooftop bar. Downstairs was absolutely packed but there were hardly any people on the rooftop. I think people forget its there but having it to ourselves was amazing.

Nice and very popular pub in south Belfast. They have a dining area but reservations are recommended. We ate in the pub area. Typical boisterous and friendly locals! Food was really good. More serve yourself then get served, but worth the effort. We had mushroom pasta and an avocado burger, both very nice and well portioned. Outside covered seating is available, as well as a sport bar section.

My wife and me stopped in for a quick pint before heading out for the afternoon. Enjoyed the outdoor seating on an unusually warm day in Dublin. Solid service, food and great price/value. Really enjoyed the vibe.

Visited the Errigle Inn recently whilst visiting Belfast. The customer service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend a visit. Thanks to the staff for making our visit a pleasure. We have brought home good memories of our visit.
