Held my birthday party at The Woods a couple weekends ago - fantastic experience: the team were excellent and looked after us so well, the cocktails were so good, and atmosphere and venue were brilliant. Thank you for having us!

I just wanted to shout out to the dj that played this evening. He put up with numerous requests, even played happy birthday for our friends. But more importantly he was just a vibe 10/10 Grateful if you can pass this on to him

Good place to have a few and dance. Usually turns into quite busy after the first group of people make it in, you can barely move but it has a good vibe

If you like decent whisky this is definitely the place to go .sadly each time we've gone it's been empty but gone after it's just opened. The staff are very attentive and know and recommend to cater for everybody's tastes it's a kind of a nice quiet place to relax with a decent drop of malt whisky and prop the bar up and talk to the bar staff definitely a go to place plus it stays open to 6am

Visited because my partner used to come here about 5 years ago, he said it used to be nice whiskey cocktails and chill vibes. It must have changed hands. We went after dinner on a Saturday nigjt and were served the saddest "spicy margaritas" I have ever had (no salt on rim, and that the depressed bar lady could not even be bothered to lob a slice of jalapeño into). Sat there for 15 minutes listening to "Dancing in the Moonlight" to rotating sparkle lights from your year 6 leavers disco before we escaped. Dark times.

Strangely quiet when we visited. I’ve had great times dancing and partying here in the past but last night the venue was ready, the DJ was playing the right music, the bar staff were primed but there was nobody there!

Amazing late-night spot! Came in with a couple of girlfriends for a fun girls night and it didn't disappoint. Our go-to was the espresso martinis, perfectly crafted. The old-school music created just the right vibe. The staff was so attentive and accommodating, they even gave us the best table as we were a bigger group. Highly recommend it and can't wait to come back!

Amazing late night bar - open until 6am! with incredible cocktails, my friend hired the upstairs’ privately for her birthday with a really good deal and the service was fantastic.

This bar is simply fantastic. Whether you're craving a specific drink, they've got you covered! Always bustling, especially on Saturday nights, with amazing music that complements the lively atmosphere. The prices are reasonable too. Undoubtedly, it's the top bar in Bristol.

Wondered in here after a few beers looking for a last dance. And boy, did I find one. Thoroughly enjoyed this place. The staff was amazing! Nice cool atmosphere.

Solve the vast majority of the problems by turning the music down, you have a bar designed for drinking cocktails and whisky while chatting on interesting furniture..... So why in God's name is the music so loud we hurt our throats shouting to hear each other?

Absolutely terrible music choices for a Saturday night. From rnb, to system of a down in quick succession...really? A decent dancey vibe immediately into a room of angry dudes. Why?

Don't serve pints, only half pints and then 2/4/6 pints jugs, and also serve expensive whisky in cheap glasses. Just seemed like an odd venue and could do with some better management

Sadly the most recent reviews are correct ! Poor poor poor customer service ! Yes it’s a whisky bar - but you can’t order a pint of beer !?!? The bar man was rude and disrespectful to paying customers ! This place needs to read its reviews !!!

Rubbish place to visit. As other customers have mentioned apparently a pint isn't hip these days. You have to order two halves and then deal with rude bar staff when you challenge their bizarre policy. Avoid!

Moody, condescending bar man who wouldn’t just sell one pint. They will only sell “a jug” which is 2 pints. Makes no sense. Why make buying a drink complicated?

Can't beat this place for a late finish on a weekend. I always love the diverse crowds, great music choice, massive range of drinks, and the fact it feels your dancing in someone's living room.

It's the woods, of course it's going to get a 5*. It's a bristol institution at this point.

You want a Whisky or Whiskey this is the place to go.

If you want to be ridiculed and purposely not give what you ordered and charge extra rate because the servers feel like it. Go ahead. My experience was that of an extortion attempt. Tried ignoring the aggression of the manager who was sat drinking but was too much. Had to leave. Still tried taking my money.

Went in and was told they were out of pitchers, only to be completely belittled by both the man behind the bar, and a man sat at the bar, in tandem. Ended up leaving without ordering a drink, utterly let down. Worst service I have ever received. DO NOT GO

Went here on a Thursday night. Not sure why they offer a huge cocktail menu, if only one person knows how to make them. Though he was training someone else how to make them, that person looked so repulsed and as if he would throw up in our drinks. Our drinks did not taste good in the end.

The Woods is a great, intimate venue, with plenty of atmosphere. It's stylish and comfortable, also boasting an amazing selection of drinks, whisky in particular. Friendly people all round, both workers and patrons

Usually a good bar setting however received very poor service on last visit. When asking for a pint I was strongly and disdainfully informed by one of the bar tenders that the bar does not do pints. That is fine as a policy, but there is no need for rude behaviour from staff to paying customers. Not fun drinking at an establishment where the staff think they are high and mighty

Brilliant atmosphere, with a brilliant selection of many different drinks, live music on a Thursday just makes it even better! The staff members are also really nice and friendly to everyone, making everyone feel very welcome . And the style of the bar, was simply wow, very cosy and unique!

Really excellent choice of whiskeys, and kind, knowledgeable, friendly staff. Quite atmospheric and cosy in current Covid-mode.

We had such a lovely new guy attending to us called Rain who had only worked here for a few days but he was so attentive and polite and always made sure we were okay!

I didn’t even get to go to the woods because they made booking a table purposefully difficult. I’d say the manager who was talking to me on Facebook was actually wilfully unkind and gaslighted me continuously. Added the messages to show my point. I’d never give them my custom now because of their awful service.

Absolutely magical! You are served by experts in the trade, trying out the rare whiskies, quirky craft beers, and more than a hundred of different spirits! Listening the most awesome of music, surrounded by friendly and inspiring people, this is the place to be. Feels like a party, when you know that you need one! Feels like the venue, that had the most interesting of conversations/occurances take place! Feels like the home that you want to keep coming back to, where you are always welcome.

Moody af barkeep to the point of rude. Nice decor, good drinks. Get the bar staff to dress like like the decor and be civil and we'll be back.

It's fine for a late night out, but they do this thing whereby they don't sell single pints, you have to buy pitchers, which to be honest is just annoying.

What isn't to love about this place. You want a drink they'll make it! Packed as ever on a Saturday night and cracking tunes to help the drink flow. Prices not bad either! Best bar by far in Bristol.

Awesome place with incredible music, not too fond of the bar staff as a Male I didn't get served and got shunned when I asked question relating to the decor. But, Alex Niro than made up for it... sad to be losing him.

Bought a champagne and was corked: the bar tender responds with - “this is brand new”. Otherwise decent club.

Went on a quiet day and as soon as opened due to us being nearby. This classic whisky bar will provide you with good quality drinks and awesome servers. It is also one of the oldest pubs in the city and the only one that stays open until 6am on Fridays and Saturdays! (It gets busy)

Relaxed feel to the place that is open till late. My G and T had tonic from the soda gun which was a little disappointing but the staff were lovely and welcoming.

If the Woods was a being, it would be the best but worst love of my life, but mostly best xxxxx

Stays open until 6 at the weekends. Easily one of the best places to drink on park Street.

We wanted somewhere to go at 4am yesterday (Saturday) and ended up here. It was like dancing in the front room of someone who has incredibly bad taste. The wallpaper is of stylised trees, and there are various animal heads and horns and so on on the wall. It was 4.80 for a pint of San Miguel. People inside were friendly and chatty although there was a bit of a simmering feud between one of the bouncers and a customer. The music was dire -- Phil Collins and some shouty death metal rubbish. But hey ho, I had a bop and a chat so not too bad I suppose.

What a nice place. I came to this place because the bartender from The Milk Thistle recommend it to me. A great selection of whiskeys and malts. Nice crowd and a very well located.

Food was ok but got sat by the door which was cold and annoying as it opened into our table.

Another bar we went to. It has odd decor of animal heads etc obviously not real I hope . Nice range of drinks. Service not great need more staff on , was busy but not enough staff to cope with it

Lovely helpful staff, good music and a good pint. Or should I say good 2 x half pints. Open late. Excellent for a late drink when you've been to the O2 for a gig.

This place used to be excellent as it had a decent indoor and outdoor areas. Unfortunately having now lost access to the latter its often cramped and difficult to find a space to converse during busier times.

Lively, safe late night venue with reasonably priced drinks and excellent front of house, security and bar staff - whats not to like!

Great range of cocktails, generally around £8. I see they also serve huge pitchers of beer, at a guess 5 pints; what could possibly go wrong? We left around 10pm, well before the party people arrive. It closes 4:00am.... I struggled navigating the stairs without spilling anything though. No doubt a return visit sometime. Check out the hipster.

The bar is fantastic! A lot of fun. The bouncers however, are so rude and aggressive they make it an unpleasent experience. They're meant to diffuse tension and they only increase it. With some changed door staff this place would be fantastic.

Music was just a little loud for my taste but other than that, good cocktail and whisky selection! Probably the best whisky selection in Bristol.

Went with a friend for a quite drink and was greeted by very rude and aggressive security. Older black male with glasses had such a bad attitude and so rude to all the customers. Will be making a complaint.

A good bar that serves a wide variety of drinks from good cocktails to decent beers. I'd give it 4/5 as I always have a great time here, the only problem is that the surly bouncers refuse you entry unless you have a certain amount of women in your group. Are we really still doing this in 2018?

Excellent stocked bar full of wide range of quality spirits. Whiskey section alone is pretty extensive. Staff knowledgeable and helpful and friendly.
