What an amazing little tapas and wine bar. Absolutely recommend this, amazing gluten free options and the quality of the food was the best I have had in a long time.

My friend and I were visiting the area for a paranormal. We saw this lovely little place while taking a walk around the village/town. The food looked and smelled amazing, although we only wanted a coffee. The staff/owners were more than helpful and very friendly. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely try the food. Thank you for your hospitality.

We regularly visit The Wine Shack and are always so well looked after. We decided to visit with a big group of friends in November for a get together before Christmas. On arrival our coats were taken to the cloak room & nicely hung up. The restaurant is cosy but beautifully done with the space they have. The booking was easy, communication was great, pre ordering was a challenge our end with lots of us but it went smoothly at their end, they knew exactly what they were doing! We had a big table of 10 people, between us we had the sharing platters of meat, fish & cheeseboards with a few extra tapas for the table. I highly recommend the pastas bravas with alioli, pitta bread with hummus, Brie & cranberry filo pastry, Thai fish cakes, calamari, chorizo in red wine & cheese and charcuterie board!! The whole menu is just delicious, it’s hard to choose! The staff are always friendly & welcoming and it was lovely to see the owners pop in for a chat, we really appreciate it when people remember us & ask about the family. It means a lot and a little goes a long way. We have already booked to come back! As always, keep up the good work Angus, Claire & the team.

What a gem for a casual night out. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and really didn't want to drive too far so thought we would try somewhere local. The pubs we looked at weren't very inspiring then we stumbled across The Wine Shack, We arrived to a fairly small, cosy restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and immediately received a warm welcome.The tapas menu had a nice mix of classic Spanish dishes plus additions from further afield like Thai fishcakes and was helpfully laid out with vegetable dishes, meat and fish in different categories. The staff were really helpful, even going the extra mile to come and take our order just before a large table to minimise our wait. We weren't in any hurry but the thought was really appreciated.All the dishes we had were delicious, generous portions and arrived quickly from the small open kitchen. We had Pan fried Chorizo, baked goat'd cheese, patatas bravas, the Thai fishcakes followed by 2 tangy, lemon cheesecakes We just had Prossecco that evening but the wine list looked to be interesting too with some very local wines that caught our eye for next time. All in all, we found a friendly little restaurant with lovely food, a great atmosphere, fantastic service and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

There was a lovely friendly, intimate atmosphere, with a warm welcome on our arrival. The menu options were great and varied enough that I still had fantastic choices despite having dietary requirements. The delicious food and great wine choices have made this gem a firm favourite. Thank you!

We are looking at Wotton-under-Edge as a potential place to buy our first home, and this was the first restaurant we tried and it 100% charmed us ❤️ thank you! This was our second time visiting and maybe even better than the first! The tapas is beautiful, the wine selection is great, and the owners are lovely!

Fantastic little restaurant, well worth a visit! Lovely atmosphere and very friendly husband and wife team. We went for lunch but would definitely return for dinner and a bottle if we were in the area longer, highly recommended.

Perfect Sunday , lovely courtyard ,very quirky …. food was first class , very tasty and the wine 🍷 perfect … a added bonus was a band playing great music … Will be booking a table for the week of the Blues Festival to see the saxophonist…

Fantastic food as always & a brilliant wine list! There’s something for everyone. Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff as usual. The crème Catalana is just divine, always our favourite pudding! The fish board was insanely good, the homemade crab cakes were the winner for us. We’ve been coming here every couple of months since it first opened and of course we’ll be back in a couple of months with more friends! Keep up the great work!

We absolutely love this cozy little gem of a wine bar. The decor is so interesting and quirky; perfect setting for a relaxed night with friends or romantic night. The food is really good… really tasty nibbles or a delicious shared platter of fish, meat or vegetarian. 100% recommend you go.

We always enjoy our visits to The Wine Shack, I’m a big Tapas fan! Lovely choice of tasty dishes on their menu and we both really enjoyed our wine flight chosen by Angus. Wednesday evening is 25% off your food bill so a great deal. I wish it was walking distance for us as we would happily stay longer and drink more of the delicious wines!

Chose it for date night. Place was buzzing. Can see why. Lovely ambience and staff. Varied enough menu and impressive choice of wines. Would go back in a heartbeat. Only minor improvements would be cook the arancini and calamari for little longer.

The wine shack is a lovely dining experience, it’s really cosy, with friendly staff and both the wine and tapas are delicious! It really transports you to somewhere in the Mediterranean, I would highly recommend !

Lovely little wine and tapas bar! Cosy, authentic atmosphere, friendly staff. Food was delicious and there is an amazing selection of wines! Have been 3 times now and had an amazing dinner each time. Would definitely recommend!

Went last night to a wine tasting event featuring 7 different very palatable wines accompanied by an excellent charcuterie board. These events are put on in a very welcoming and professional way by the excellent hosts, Angus and his wife. The Wine Shack is mostly open at weekends but offers a very good alternative to the other limited eating places in Wotton-under-Edge with excellent wine, tapas and service.

We had a wonderful time at The wine Shack. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening in this cosy little wine bar. It has certainly changed since my last visit when it was a bike shop. Another visit is on the agenda some time in the future. They work hard to make your visit agreeable.
