The Wine Place Covent Garden in City of London, Westminster

We went there for the second time, everything was amazing, service outstanding and the food amazing. The tiramisu was 🤌🏻, and collections of wine were so good. We look forward visiting next year! Thank you Marlène for taking such good care of us💕 Regards María and Eyrún from Iceland

Great for a pre theatre meal and drink. The performers in the arena where the restaurant is added to the atmosphere and made the experience even more enjoyable.

We try to visit this place as much as possible when I’m down in London for a few days. Myself and my daughter sit on a little table outside and listen to the buskers, drink superb Italian wine and eat an array of delicious delicacies. The staff are always lovely but yesterday Amman made the experience even more wonderful with his five star service, the kind I have only found normally at Michelin level. All the details taken care of, pre-empting if we needed something, and serving us in a friendly but very professional manner. We had the perfect afternoon, thank you.

It is a really cozy place with a large Italien wine selection and very tasty Food! If you want to have a nice relaxt time you have to come here! Staff is sooooo lovely and helpful at any time!

Tiny place in the lower square in Covent Garden, mostly inside with one table outside, we had the outside table which added to the atmosphere of the singers in the square! Food was tasty, lasagna, pasta and a pizza! Not huge portions!

An absolute treat to find a place like this not just in central London but in one of the busiest tourist attractions in the city. The atmosphere is relaxed but not dull and the service was first rate. The food relatively simple but in no way boring and the number of veggie options was a refreshing change for the wife. The manager also paired a perfect wine with our meal. I'd got my booking times wrong so we were 15 minutes late, which had triggered a perfectly reasonable and polite call from the manager, but my apology was accepted in good grace and didn't in any way affect the service and interaction. With the exception for a few minutes of a performing opera singer right outside the window, which could shatter glass, the evening was exceptional. Very much recommended.

When you find it, go visit!! We kept coming back to enjoy the live music from SUPERB Street performers while tasting the flavors of Italian wines and great food! The owners hospitality was amazing and very welcoming, he knows all the Street performers by heart. It was a joy to visit here! Definitely Recommend!

Our party of three were looking for a pit stop for a snack en route to the Novello Theatre, and stumbled upon this place on the lower tier of Covent Garden. Great ham and cheese focaccia washed down with a fantastic rose'. Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff, made for a great lunch whilst we listened to a street opera singer. Highly recommend this place.

This place utterly sucks. The most pure definition of style over substance. An adorable, cozy location in Covent Garden. Looked romantic with the firefly lights. Less romantic with the obnoxious, drunk, boorish couple who seemed to be friends of the owner loudly bellowing over the other guests. Meal starts out with a dirty fork. Wine is…mediocre at best for a place with “wine” in its name. Main course comes and one of the orders is wrong. We politely agree to eat the incorrect entree. The gnocchi tasted boxed, the sauce bland and…well, hope it came from a jar bc if it were homemade, I’d suggest the chef quit today. The very small portion of lasagna lacked flavor, and oddly sat in oil in a cast iron dish rather than sauce. The server apologized for the incorrect entree and said “we’ll see what we can do about this.” Apparently the answer to that was “absolutely nothing.” He brought our bill, read thru it one by line and asked if it looked correct. It included the entree we never ordered. If you want an overpriced, bland, forgettable meal that is good solely for instagram, definitely come here. If you want a substantive, delicious meal and customer service to match, go elsewhere.
