Went for my wife's birthday on Fri 28th March. Thoroughly enjoyed! Impeccable service from our server lady (Aussie?). Very friendly and chatty. Food was dee-lish. Artichoke tagliatelle was one of the best things I have put in my mouth all year. Loved the various desserts - cheeses, followed by Chocolate delice and lemon tart. RECOMMEND.

Well this is something. Don't be fooled by the if you have more plates, you get less food patter. 4 dishes is definitely enough. Wine list looks like a list of the latest interest rates for your mortgage and we felt that the service fell a little when it became clear we were.not purchasing any of the 3 figured bottles. But this is a splurge that is a must Beautiful food that deals with Vegitarian, GF, some veganism and meat eaters.

Murano, located a short walk from Green Park tube station, offers a refined dining experience with an elegant yet comfortable ambiance. However, current roadworks outside the entrance slightly disrupt the approach, and the half-curtained windows limit the view. The interior is warm and inviting, featuring carpeted floors, wood paneling, and beige-patterned wallpaper. Art Deco lighting complements the space, while a bar at the entrance showcases an impressive selection of wine. Contemporary art on the walls adds a modern touch. The dining area is divided into two, with circular seating on both sides, enhanced by floral displays. Service was attentive and polished. The meal started with complimentary olives, coppa, and bread with olive oil, all of which were excellent. Starters of chestnut & mushroom fagottini was light and flavorful, though the portion was on the smaller side. The sea bream crudo was outstanding, almost ceviche-like, with a fresh, delicate balance of flavors. The Mains of roast chicken was unfortunately dry, which detracted from the dish, the bare sauce was nice and intense but the veg again was unfortunately very dead- over cooked almost verging on grey! The red mullet was decent but slightly underwhelming. The fish itself had a strong flavor, and the couscous accompaniment was fine but could have been better. The Desserts of Blood orange semifreddo with black pepper meringue was intriguing, though the texture felt oddly frozen in parts. The Quince & frangipane crostata with fior di latte ice cream was very enjoyable. Murano delivers an elegant dining experience with strong service and generally excellent food, but inconsistencies in the main courses slightly dampened the overall meal. If the chicken had been better, it would have been near perfect and would definitely be back to dine again.

This was a treat birthday meal. It turned out nearly everyone in the room was also celebrating a birthday and we all got the same mini cake and candle treatment. The dining room had low ceilings and decor a bit like the front room of a 70s semi. There was a staff room adjoining with the door constantly opening with all the health and safety posters up and chemicals cupboard in view. The staff had obviously been taught a patter that they followed to the letter. All tables got nice little extra bits dips and bread and ham etc- but all tables served identical items so it felt inpersonal. The sommelier was very well versed and impressive. I did not really rate the food. It was not delicious and the sides did not even have the ingredients in them that were listed on the menu. The bread was nice. Btw the menu was difficult to understand for a non-italian speaker. The whole thing just felt a bit pretentious/production line. Expensive too.

I had the pheasant agnolotti (the night’s special) and the pasta was hard and dry, even though the broth was flavorful. The risotto was probably the best, rice itself cooked thoroughly but consistency of the risotto was too runny to my liking. Venison was not as tender as I’d like, and overall the dish was a bit too salty. Good service and atmosphere. I wouldn’t come back though — food wasn’t as good as hyped.

Although the service is very courteous and friendly, in my personal opinion this is not a recommended restaurant. When I go to a Michelin-starred chef's restaurant, I expect to receive creative and clever food. I expect to receive flavors that are unique to the chef or the place itself, and if there is an exceptional execution, then the enjoyment is generally increased. In this restaurant, I did not find any special or noteworthy dish, and some of the dishes we tasted were much more suitable for a simple bistro than for a restaurant with a star.

We went here for dinner- Food and service were great, I’d say the mains were the least memorable out of all courses (meat choices). Service was attentive and fit for this standard. No bar in case you get there early. I would say however that the atmosphere is rather stiff, very old school high end decor and brighter lights. This was also reflected in somewhat older clientele- would probably come again for lunch but not for date/social dinner.

Tried their 3 course lunch menu for £60- had the duck kromesky starter, braised pork cheek main and choux bun as dessert. I thought the duck was very well executed together with some water cress. The pork cheek was tender and well cooked but it did feel slightly salty to taste. It also came with some mashed potato which was very smooth and wasn't that salty so it did balance out the meat. Should add that I also got the roasted potatoes side but this seemed quite average. The choux bun came with pickled raisins and ice cream inside and I thought it was really good. Probably my favourite course. Also got a surprise starter (a small arancini like dish) and at the end got a small biscuit with orange sweet?? Not sure what these were tbh Overall the portions were very good - I was full with just three courses and probably didn't need the side. I suspect that the actual menu (not the lunch set) might be even better and could be the reason for the michelin star - the lunch menu was good but it didn't necessarily wow me hence the 4 stars

Most of the food was very bland and does not justify the price (particularly the truffle risotto and the venison). Exceptions to this were the scallops and the monkfish, which were both quite nice. Sommelier could not recommend drinks outside of the wine list, which was disappointing as I am pregnant and my partner does not enjoy wine. I appreciate this is not his speciality but some training from the restaurant would add to the experience. Service from the rest of the team was good but unfortunately the food was so poor that we will not be returning or able to recommend Murano.

We dined at Murano last night to celebrate a birthday and I honestly could not fault it. The whole experience was wonderful. The restaurant is so nicely decorated to be welcoming and very classy but not stuck up and overly posh. For example the plane wooden tables instead of tablecloths makes it feel warmer and slightly more relaxed than some other Michelin restaurants. The staff were so attentive and helpful without being overbearing. They explained the many and never rushed us in any way. Some of the staff were quite young, great to see the restaurant investing in young talent as they were all so great at their jobs. As for the food it was just wonderful. The menu is really clever, basically a mix and match of starters and mains, meats and fish that allows you to choose any dish in any order and also how many courses you prefer. So much choice was really nice. Angela Hartnet has done an amazing job with this restaurant, she really has made an inviting and utterly impressive dining experience.

My fiancé surprised me with a birthday meal at Murano - so surprised that I was underdressed but thankfully it was okay as there were others in there wearing trainers and jeans too (albeit smarter than I looked but anyway!) The summer menu was still available and we had the choice of 3 to 6 courses. We initially intended on doing 5 courses but we were so full after 4 that we called it quits there. We had the following - Starters: Rabbit for me, Scallops for him - Pasta: Red mullet linguine - Fish: Halibut with carrots - Main: Chicken for me, Veal for him I of course tried my fiancés dishes too but I think I made the right choices. The rabbit fish was fresh but full of flavour. the red mullet linguine had the most perfect thin linguine and the waiter explained it’s cooked in fish stock to enhance the flavour and that really comes through. The halibut is lightly poached and has the perfect cook on it and then the chicken was a hearty meal. If I’m 100% honest the main dishes were the least impressive of the courses and could have been from any restaurant or cuisine. The atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic, it was so bustling. I once heard Angela Hartnett on TV explain that she wanted Murano to be fine dining, good Italian food without being pretentious or stuff just because it’s in Mayfair and that is 100% what Murano achieves. I will definitely be recommending to all my foodie friends and if we ever come back, I’ll be sure to do 4 courses but make the fourth the dessert because the Lemon Tart looked unreal!

Murano is a lovely restaurant. I find the staff/customer ratio is very high in the best restaurants. And that is the case with Murano, where the staff are always present but totally unobtrusive. The stuffed courgette flower was good but not as good as at the Abingdon. Our main courses (pasta and brill) were very good. We shared a raspberry souffle desert, with pistachio ice; it was a masterclass in how to make a wonderful dessert. I have two reservations: 1) the bread that came with the meal was underbaked 2) 2 male customers (and not youngsters either) wore shorts. If customers do not have the sense of decorum not to wear shorts to a smart restaurant, like Murano, then the restaurant should have a ‘dress policy’.

Be careful as they attempt to charge £65 per head cancellation. My guests had covid and I rang to cancel 24 hours ahead. But the policy is that they charge £65 for each person (£15 more per head than their set lunch menu), I said I would go ahead with the booking in that case (cheaper to buy three set menus then leave). But then my daughter rang them and negotiated that they would cancel without charging. So she saved me £195. Their website does not suggest they charge cancellation fees - the note is at the very bottom of the email they send confirming the booking. Best wishes to all, Johnnie

The restaurant is very relaxed and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent - the herdwick lamb dish is definitely a highlight. We’ve been a couple of times and would continue to return - highly recommend!

The ambience in the restaurant is relaxed and calming. The staff were lovely and the food and wine were excellent. It's some time since I had been to Murano, but will definitely return!

There is a disturbing trend with so-called high end restaurants to revert back to the nouvelle cuisine of the early 80s with not much on the plate and everything on the wallet. We had hoped Murano would not be following this trend ,but sadly this was not to be. The scallop appetiser was delicious, well cooked and refreshing. However we were both very disappointed with the pasta course. Five or six very small tortellini the size of my small fingertip did not constitute a reasonable portion of carbs you would expect from an Italian restaurant. My partner's portion of seabass looked more generous, however my halibut was a quarter of the size, over cooked, a bit dry and the whole dish a little cold. Whilst I went for the veal main course my partner chose the Herdwick Lamb and was served only one lamb cutlet. One wonders what happened to the rest of the tasty meat they trimmed off just for presentation. My veal was fantastic but came with the smallest portion of sweetbread I have ever been served, barely a mouthful and more reminiscent of the tasty skin you get on a piece of KFC chicken. The biggest disappointment was the souffle. There seemed to be a very long wait. A waiter did apologise for the delay saying that something was wrong in the kitchen, but this is when the service fell short. Instead of offering something complementary to help pass the time, we were left for a long time twiddling our thumbs with only our glass of tap water. Eventually when the soufflés started emerging from the kitchen they were not the tall pink columns of perfection we had seen served earlier in the evening, but very stumpy and brown. By the time I started to eat mine it had completely collapsed. It was still delicious but the execution was very poor. This is all a great shame, since we have been to Murano before and enjoyed some exceptional food. In our opinion they should concentrate more on the dining experience and not their extensive and very expensive wine collection. Perhaps Murano should rebrand itself as an up market wine bar that happens to serve very tasty nibbles

Murano had been on the list of places to go for a long time and finally managed to visit. The restaurant is very spacious and light and very calm and really good atmosphere. The only mark down on this was the bathroom facilities (esp men’s one which could do with an individual lock to the bathroom). The service was paced and steady and felt each staff working hard to focus on delivering great service: friendly, warm and subdued. It is unique to be able to select as many course as you’d like. We went for 5 courses - the portions (especially you will get amuse bouche and bread and charcuterie) were not small for a Michelin star venue so be prepared to be full if you do go for a full 5/6 courses meal. The menu changed seasonally and our first course was trout and scallops - scallops were perfect and well balanced. Trout was good but felt slightly lack of seasoning. Also I found it difficult to eat this dish when it’s served in a bowl like plate. Second course was risotto and pasta - this risotto was probably the best risotto I’ve ever had and was so simple yet so rich and delicious, the pasta on the other hand was good but not as memorable. The fish courses felt like they missed the flavour - lack of seasoning and flavours were competing rather than complimenting (especially acidity winning big time on some fish and tempura overpowering). We were delighted with the meat course, perfectly cooked meats, wonderful garnish. The desserts were also divine - and the jelly square served at the very end was my favourite and perfect pallet cleanser after a big meal. Overall, it was a nice meal and if I was coming back again, I’d go with 3/4 courses, risotto/lighter starter, meat course and dessert.

We had a lovely lunch a Murano, the food was exceptional from Starter through to Desert. The Aubergine starter was one of the best starters I have ever had. There isn’t anything we didn’t like. The service from the team @ Murano was exceptional and we will definitely return again. This was our 2nd visit and we were just as impressed. Thank You.

We visited to celebrate an anniversary, and we could not have been happier with the level of service at Murano. The staff were attentive, and the food was outstanding. Every course beautifully balanced and perfectly cooked.

We both had five course menu and really enjoyed the food. The cooking did not aim to wow with excessive flair but delivered on flavour and elegant presentation. Pasta dishes and the lamb main was delightful. Staff were friendly and very pleasant throughout. We were there for 6pm and the atmosphere was a bit quiet, which is understandable.

A really authentic gastronomic delight tucked away inconspicuously in central London. Food is very tasty (I recommend the gnocchi sorrentina) and very well priced. It’s like a little bit of Italy on your doorstep. I love it!!! 🍕🍕🍕

This restaurant moved from the ground floor to the first floor to accommodate renovations. It’s now in a windowless room that, while nicely decorated, is quite claustrophobic and can get loud when it’s crowded. The restaurant also seems understaffed. While everyone is friendly and nice, the staff seem overwhelmed. You have to ask for things several times before it gets done, and it took a very long time for someone to come take my order. Overall, not a seamless experience and not something I would expect from the Four Seasons.

We got inside for a quick pasta dinner. The atmosphere is really nice but the food is not real Italian. The pasta seems to be from the super market and also the flavor of the carbonara and Ragu was not what expected for this high price.
