Was ok. Expected to be WOW’d but I wasn’t. Service was slowwwwwww well at least for us. A large table arrived 15 min after us, seated next to us and they got menus and drinks and well into ordering before someone even came to our table to offer water. Then a random guy came and gave us hors d’oeuvres out the blue (it was yummy) but we were both confused. Once the meal got started it got better but I truly wasn’t impressed.

My fiancé surprised me with a birthday meal at Murano - so surprised that I was underdressed but thankfully it was okay as there were others in there wearing trainers and jeans too (albeit smarter than I looked but anyway!) The summer menu was still available and we had the choice of 3 to 6 courses. We initially intended on doing 5 courses but we were so full after 4 that we called it quits there. We had the following - Starters: Rabbit for me, Scallops for him - Pasta: Red mullet linguine - Fish: Halibut with carrots - Main: Chicken for me, Veal for him I of course tried my fiancés dishes too but I think I made the right choices. The rabbit fish was fresh but full of flavour. the red mullet linguine had the most perfect thin linguine and the waiter explained it’s cooked in fish stock to enhance the flavour and that really comes through. The halibut is lightly poached and has the perfect cook on it and then the chicken was a hearty meal. If I’m 100% honest the main dishes were the least impressive of the courses and could have been from any restaurant or cuisine. The atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic, it was so bustling. I once heard Angela Hartnett on TV explain that she wanted Murano to be fine dining, good Italian food without being pretentious or stuff just because it’s in Mayfair and that is 100% what Murano achieves. I will definitely be recommending to all my foodie friends and if we ever come back, I’ll be sure to do 4 courses but make the fourth the dessert because the Lemon Tart looked unreal!

Really wanted to love it, but First 4 dishes are nothing but carbs: bread, potatoes, pasta and rice. Followed by an hour and a half of waiting for the main which was cold fish. Doesn’t seem like the menu is balanced in terms of flavor or even nutrients and fiber. Service was incredible, but sadly no one at our table seem to be impressed.

We visited the Murano restaurant to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary as part of a three day visit to London. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant during our visit. The food exceeded expectations particularly the raspberry soufflé for dessert! However all our dishes were excellent. We would have no hesitation returning to Murano’s on future trips to London and we thank all the staff for making our visit so memorable.

I highly recommend, the food was excellent and the service even better, especially Tamara who was top class. The value for money is best in London, the 3 course set lunch includes anti pasti, a summer spritz and tea coffee for £55. And you can get a decent glass of wine for £9. Will be coming back definitely.

Tried this restaurant today, it was abysmal. Poor and anaemic menue, no Italian classics, nothing interesting, really a horrible A la carte experience, with under cooked fish, sauce was few drops, and the starter honestly it was a joke. What you see on yhe online pictures doesn't exist, and the atmosphere leaves to be desired. Murano is a lovely restaurant. I find the staff/customer ratio is very high in the best restaurants. And that is the case with Murano, where the staff are always present but totally unobtrusive. The stuffed courgette flower was good but not as good as at the Abingdon. Our main courses (pasta and brill) were very good. We shared a raspberry souffle desert, with pistachio ice; it was a masterclass in how to make a wonderful dessert. I have two reservations: 1) the bread that came with the meal was underbaked 2) 2 male customers (and not youngsters either) wore shorts. If customers do not have the sense of decorum not to wear shorts to a smart restaurant, like Murano, then the restaurant should have a ‘dress policy’.

Be careful as they attempt to charge £65 per head cancellation. My guests had covid and I rang to cancel 24 hours ahead. But the policy is that they charge £65 for each person (£15 more per head than their set lunch menu), I said I would go ahead with the booking in that case (cheaper to buy three set menus then leave). But then my daughter rang them and negotiated that they would cancel without charging. So she saved me £195. Their website does not suggest they charge cancellation fees - the note is at the very bottom of the email they send confirming the booking. Best wishes to all, Johnnie

There is a disturbing trend with so-called high end restaurants to revert back to the nouvelle cuisine of the early 80s with not much on the plate and everything on the wallet. We had hoped Murano would not be following this trend ,but sadly this was not to be. The scallop appetiser was delicious, well cooked and refreshing. However we were both very disappointed with the pasta course. Five or six very small tortellini the size of my small fingertip did not constitute a reasonable portion of carbs you would expect from an Italian restaurant. My partner's portion of seabass looked more generous, however my halibut was a quarter of the size, over cooked, a bit dry and the whole dish a little cold. Whilst I went for the veal main course my partner chose the Herdwick Lamb and was served only one lamb cutlet. One wonders what happened to the rest of the tasty meat they trimmed off just for presentation. My veal was fantastic but came with the smallest portion of sweetbread I have ever been served, barely a mouthful and more reminiscent of the tasty skin you get on a piece of KFC chicken. The biggest disappointment was the souffle. There seemed to be a very long wait. A waiter did apologise for the delay saying that something was wrong in the kitchen, but this is when the service fell short. Instead of offering something complementary to help pass the time, we were left for a long time twiddling our thumbs with only our glass of tap water. Eventually when the soufflés started emerging from the kitchen they were not the tall pink columns of perfection we had seen served earlier in the evening, but very stumpy and brown. By the time I started to eat mine it had completely collapsed. It was still delicious but the execution was very poor. This is all a great shame, since we have been to Murano before and enjoyed some exceptional food. In our opinion they should concentrate more on the dining experience and not their extensive and very expensive wine collection. Perhaps Murano should rebrand itself as an up market wine bar that happens to serve very tasty nibbles

Murano had been on the list of places to go for a long time and finally managed to visit. The restaurant is very spacious and light and very calm and really good atmosphere. The only mark down on this was the bathroom facilities (esp men’s one which could do with an individual lock to the bathroom). The service was paced and steady and felt each staff working hard to focus on delivering great service: friendly, warm and subdued. It is unique to be able to select as many course as you’d like. We went for 5 courses - the portions (especially you will get amuse bouche and bread and charcuterie) were not small for a Michelin star venue so be prepared to be full if you do go for a full 5/6 courses meal. The menu changed seasonally and our first course was trout and scallops - scallops were perfect and well balanced. Trout was good but felt slightly lack of seasoning. Also I found it difficult to eat this dish when it’s served in a bowl like plate. Second course was risotto and pasta - this risotto was probably the best risotto I’ve ever had and was so simple yet so rich and delicious, the pasta on the other hand was good but not as memorable. The fish courses felt like they missed the flavour - lack of seasoning and flavours were competing rather than complimenting (especially acidity winning big time on some fish and tempura overpowering). We were delighted with the meat course, perfectly cooked meats, wonderful garnish. The desserts were also divine - and the jelly square served at the very end was my favourite and perfect pallet cleanser after a big meal. Overall, it was a nice meal and if I was coming back again, I’d go with 3/4 courses, risotto/lighter starter, meat course and dessert.

My wife has wanted to visit this restaurant for a while and with her birthday on the horizon, I booked a table. We received a warm and very friendly welcome on arrival as we were shown directly to our table. It seemed to be quite a small, busy dining room but with a smart and relaxed atmosphere. The young lady "overseeing" our table was excellent, helpful and informative as was our sommelier, one of three on the night. The English fizz to start was excellent as were the 'nibbles'. We tasked our sommelier to provide a wine flight for the evening and he didn't miss a beat, in fact I think he enjoyed doing it as much as we enjoyed drinking his wine choices! We started with the agnolotti and the artichoke risotto... fantastic. Before progressing onto the next course, the chef very kindly provided the halibut dish for us to share and taste - a birthday treat - which was an absolute delight. My rose veal course was delicate and such a lovely sensation, my wife's Herdwick lamb turned out to be another winner. Even after all this sensational food we just about managed the raspberry souffle and the Amalfi lemon tart. The wines that we sampled along with each individual dish added an extra dimension and were more than just a 'taster' than often happens with a wine flight. A great birthday treat on our trip down from Leeds, worth the trip!

I was treated to this meal by my Family for my 73rd birthday on Friday 5th April! My daughter and husband ordered scallops to start. My son and I had sea trout. Scallops were delicious according to my daughter and husband. However the trout was cold and sitting on what I can only describe as cold yoghurt with warm onions under it! Neither of us could eat it! When the plates were removed I was not asked about why I had left the dish! After choosing drinks, I had asked for a Pinot Grigio, the sommelier said they only had an orange Pinot, I said that would be fine. He proceeded to share the wine with his colleagues before pouring the wine for me! The wine was nearly red and was certainly not orange Pinot. I was reluctant to make any negative comments as my family had gone to such lengths to make this a memorable birthday, indeed my son had come over from Toronto to celebrate with me! My daughter ordered lamb and my husband ordered duck, my son ordered sea bass and I ordered halibut. My daughter was given duck and not lamb. The server said please start that and we’ll get you a lamb! My husband enjoyed the duck, my son said the sea bass was ok. My halibut was dry and overcooked! Again the server did not enquire why I didn’t/couldn’t eat the halibut! The servers replenished the water for all of us but we had to ask for any wine refill! The deserts, I’m told by my family were good, I was given a “birthday plate with a small sponge on it!” I was disappointed but couldn’t bring myself to complain as I did not want to spoil the evening. I don’t know how much the meal cost, but it wasn’t worth it! I could not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I was so disappointed not only about the experience but also that I have admired Angela Hartnett for a long time, which is why my family chose her restaurant to surprise me for my birthday!!!

Very friendly front of house manager but on other hand the food is not a bad but anythink special and I think that the food in the one Michelin star restaurant have to be better. The kitchen is very messy and seems not to be organize. That's maybe because They have new Head chef George Ormond and his past experience is seems not to be right for Head chef at 1 Michelin star restaurant. He seems a bit inexperienced and messy with his work. Maybe They will need to try to find another one with more previous experience. The cost off food is to much for what you are getting and you can find many places with better price for food.

We booked lunch at Murano on Easter Friday. We arrived after 2pm and the restaurant was relatively quiet. We were offered to choose our table. The initial service was a relatively patchy, with different members of the team making recommendations and then taking our orders. We settled on lunch menu with additional risotto primavera to share. Our pork ragu garganelli with anchovies and pangrattato was delicious, this was followed by additional risotto and Cornish hake, lentil & mussel ragu. Hake was perfectly cooked and pomme puree we ordered as a side, reminded me of some of the best Parisian restaurants we’ve eaten in. We finished our lunch with selection of cheeses which were mostly British to our surprise. We chose matched wines with our lunch, in reality sommelier was only able to offer wine from ‘by glass’ section of the menu rather than proper matched wines. Wine was a let down in our opinion. Overall, we had a lovely afternoon, food was delicious but slightly let down by inconsistent service and disappointing wines.

Murano by Angela Hartnett. We visited here this evening. In the main the food was good. However....my fish course was cold!!! Unforgivable! If there's one thing I can't tolerate, it's cold food!!! I didn't make a fuss although did mention it when our plates were cleared and the waitress arranged for that entire course to be deducted from our bill which was very gracious of her. One other downside. I heard one of the waitresses making comment to diners at another table that the two gentlemen seated in front of the pass window were concerned that they would be watched by the kitchen staff. She assured them that due to the way the lighting was arranged, this was not likely. I felt this to be very unprofessional. On to the positives. The rest of the food was good, service good. The sommelier excellent and very informative, recommending a beautiful wine. All in all, a positive experience. Just one or two niggles that need addressing.

Beautifully presented (baby beets salad especially), delicious (monkfish in crumbs of real note) and every element so well thought through. We especially enjoyed the venison, cooked to perfection. Not something I have the chance to have often. Delicious ingredients and spot on wine pairings. Very slick service, warm and friendly. Definitely be back.

I must admit I was excited to try here. My sister had spoken highly of it. Nice design and lay out. Wonderful staff, who are caring and attentive. I had the pasta with pork ragu. Was a bit to al dente and very salty. The main pork dish was tasty and cooked well. The pistachio tart was dry and needed a warm custard. I don't think the apple Sorbet went well. The wine choice was perfect for the dishes. Living with a trained chef who is Italain, I've developed my palate. I'm sorry to say no lasting impression.

I treated my daughter to a prebirthday lunch here yesterday and cannot fault the attentive, professional yet friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they were unobtrusive in their service. Whilst we enjoyed the food, I cannot say it was worthy of a Michelin star. Loved the olives, focaccia, bread sticks and prosciutto, could have filled up on these alone. The pasta course was good , but not warm enough . My daughter had sea bream which was delicious and I went for the belly pork , also delicious but a tad cool to eat. Desserts were underwhelming on the lunch set menu choice so my daughter had the rhubarb and custard soufflé which was outstanding.. I had the apple cake with Granny Smith sorbet, beautiful but I left the cake as it wasn’t that good. They gave my daughter a beautiful cake on a happy birthday plate, very thoughtful. A nice experience but, unfortunately for me, not memorable apart from the staff.

Went on a Saturday night. Lovely small restaurant. Seats are nice and plenty of space between tables for privacy. All staff were attentive and helpful. Food was excellent as expected but could have been a bit hotter in temperature. The way they work the menu is good so you can spend as much or little as you want really. Wine list extensive and pretty much something for everyone. Will go again when the menu changes from Winter.

Excellent food, drink and service. Thank you for making this special occasion so perfect!! My favourite course was the Faggotini and the Chilean Sauvignon Blanc was delicious. The dessert wines were a great match.

My wife and I visited Murano for Valentines night and once again the food was fabulous. The service as always was exemplary and friendly. The restaurant has a homely feel and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. One of the best restaurants in London with the choice of 3, 4, 5 and 6 courses. If you haven’t been it is well worth a visit. This is now our 4th time in less than a year!

Murano is the best restaurant I have ever been to, and the two meals I've eaten there the best I have ever eaten. Cannot recommend highly enough!

This is a fantastic restaurant. I have been fortunate enough to go to some really splendid places these paste few years; Murano, though, might top it. Impeccable hospitality: fantastic staff, really, authentically friendly and caring, knowledgeable, which is to be expected at this level but which is refreshing nonetheless, and, lastly, many very young - all of whom are credits to AH and the more senior team! It is so nice to see other young people in hospitality, particularly those whose passion is so very obvious. I digress. Service - 10/10. Food - very good. I think flexibility is to be credited, and I really do like the fact you can build a menu from the array of choices. I don’t envy the team in the kitchen for this reason! I dined from a kind of blind tasting, and I must say nearly every course was perfect. Particularly, I was fond of the risotto of rabbit - remarkably simple and yet eminently strong flavours. Venison ‘main’ was perfectly cooked, very tender, well garnished. Perhaps the only course I didn’t really care for was that of the monkfish; whilst the fennel accompaniment was good and sufficiently deep in flavour, the fish itself, owning to the breadcrumb, left a rather peculiar sensation (flour-like) in the mouth. This is not, though, to say the fish itself was badly cooked - I personally lament the style of cookery for this, is all. Regardless, 1 course not to my liking is very good going, and I cannot leave a review without a comment on the lemon tart. Such a dessert is ubiquitous, and one might be tempted to assert that its presence on a starred menu is, perhaps, bold. However, this, genuinely, was great - fantastically short pastry, and a filling that just melted on the tongue and which took on such a splendid texture - I would really love to know quite how it is done. I so love the simplicity of this too in having served it by itself - bold, as I say, but why not be bold in the knowledge that the item you’re serving is so bloody good? This is perhaps my longest review yet; I hope that speaks to the level of gratitude I have to AH and the team in providing such a slick, honest experience. Thank you.

Sorry, really not great. Angela, we’ve loved watching on tv but food here average to be fair. Pasta cooked well, but some dishes far too salty. Also both of us felt ill after. Only thing we had in common was the wine. Unusual amount of sediment. Both didn’t finish wine but wasn’t asked why. We try to visit Michelin star places as often as we can but this is one I wouldn’t return to or recommend. We were here for lunch around 1:30. Was quiet, no music, you couldn’t have a conversation that wouldn’t be heard at the other side of the room. Staff friendly but couldn’t understand some of them.language issues.

Great starters, great mains, great wine. Service was faultless...some of the best we've had in London. The fish course was disappointing but this was rectified promptly by the attentive staff.

We were lucky enough to celebrate a very special anniversary at Murano last weekend. The food was wonderful, beautifully presented, incredibly well balanced and flavourful, but it was the warmth and welcome from each and every one of the team which made the evening both relaxing and a truly magical and memorable experience for us both. A special warm thankyou to the General Manager Rebecca, who helped with great advice on menu choices and went out of her way to ensure that we were really well looked after. A very special place, which we hope to return to for lunch before too long. Thankyou Rebecca!

If I could give the service 100+ stars I would! Everyone went above and beyond and was very kind! The service staff made the experience extra special and carefully catered to my mom’s pescatarian needs. The food was absolutely delicious and the lemon tart was extraordinary! The portion sizes were very generous. We cannot wait to come back! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Having been to many Italian restaurants in London, Murano was the best by a margin. The menu is simple yet flexible, and all dishes were superb. The cod was a highlight.

We booked for New Year’s Eve and were very impressed with the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. The choice of 2 for each course meant there was always something we liked! Although we didn’t go for the Wine Pairing, we did speak to the young sommelier who helped out with wine selection from the good selection of wines by the glass. Our only very slight criticism of the food was my husband said his beef was a little tough and I found the duck to be a little under done for my personal taste. Loved the pistachio soufflé by the way! Overall an excellent and memorable experience and we’d love to return.

We visited on New Year’s Day as a family and found it to be an immaculate restaurant with incredibly attentive and very knowledgable staff. Food and drink were absolutely amazing quality, beautifully cooked. I have to say, the Artichoke risotto had an element of acidity that was really quite challenging and definitely a little much for children.

We stumbled in after a tiring day trekking around London, no reservations, but it was early and we were given a nice table. We had assumed we were heading for a good but usual restaurant, but it is everything but! It is a lovely space…open, bright, simply and elegantly decorated, with large windows that were open wide on a mild night. On the second floor (a bit hard to find… we totally missed it at first and had to double back), but that added to its private and quiet atmosphere. First we were served an amazing crisp bread dressed with olive oil and rosemary that was utterly addictive and a delicious Prosecco. Then we had both a delicious monk fish wrapped in pancetta with a crispy topping of frizzled samphire, simply but beautifully done (again delicious) spinach, and an extraordinary pasta with a pesto of herbs and walnuts, the best pasta either of us have ever had, (and that includes in Italy). Our waiter was a lovely man…who was very attentive and friendly. Hands down the best place I have been to in London!

Osteria dell'Angolo is a corner of authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of London. The atmosphere is welcoming and informal, with a rustic design reminiscent of traditional Italian taverns. The menu is a celebration of regional cuisine, with dishes prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Classics such as homemade pasta, lasagna and risotto are expertly prepared. Don't miss the truffle risotto, creamy and aromatic, and the tiramisu, a dessert that conquers at first taste. The service is friendly and attentive, with staff Demian and Salvatore ready to recommend the best wine pairings. The selection of Italian wines is well curated, ideal to accompany each dish. In summary, Osteria dell'Angolo is a great choice for those looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in London, with delicious dishes and warm service. A real refuge for lovers of good food.
