Amaranto Restaurant - Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane in City of London, Westminster

This restaurant moved from the ground floor to the first floor to accommodate renovations. It’s now in a windowless room that, while nicely decorated, is quite claustrophobic and can get loud when it’s crowded. The restaurant also seems understaffed. While everyone is friendly and nice, the staff seem overwhelmed. You have to ask for things several times before it gets done, and it took a very long time for someone to come take my order. Overall, not a seamless experience and not something I would expect from the Four Seasons.

We had an absolutely magical evening. It was my girlfriend's birthday and Veronica and Rhiannon took such good care of us! Veronica was outstanding with her suggestions and recommendations, not to mention her humour and hospitality overall! Had us smiling and laughing the whole time. Rhiannon was so lovely and kind to us, so patient with all the little requests and made the night so smooth for us. She even helped us to take some amazing pictures to immortalise the experience. The food was brilliant; absolutely delicious, came in good time, and very well prepared. Compliments to the Chefs! Special word for the lychee sorbet and yuzu ice cream, to die for. Also the lovely birthday desert they gave us, it was fantastic! Overall, a brilliant experience 20/10

A nice outdoor terrace style seating, elegant but I would never go back again. I found the usher of the restaurant very rude Won’t let us sit outside or in the restaurant even though it was 10% occupied After arguing they gave us a table outside with a very unpleasant approval. The waiter was absolutely friendly and helpful. Appetizers ordered were Tomato soup, carpaccio and salad all good Then the main dish Risotto, tomato pasta and lobster linguine were cold when served, they could have tasted better if warm. Didn’t complain as we just wanted to be done and leave Unfortunate, and not sure the reason of this incident but it surely came out very snobbish and rude.

We went for lunch for my birthday and although the service was excellent and the surroundings pleasant the food was pretty average. My veal Milanese was greasy rather than crisp and although my wife’s salad nicoise was good, she was very sick later on. The truffle fries were excellent however. As for value for money £12 for a mocktail is pretty steep (50% more than the Savoy) and the wine by the glass is £13 minimum for a 175ml glass. It’s not good enough for the price.

Food was great (the beef filet was totally worth its price). Service professional and attentive, but rather on the slow side. Overall highly recommend.

Went for afternoon tea to celebrate some big birthdays. Food was very good - thank you for the extra cute little birthday cake! The service was lovely, from the front door to the restaurant and beyond. Fab leisurely afternoon. Thank you!

Booked this restaurant situated in the amazing four seasons hotel for my birthday, me and my young family were apprehensive as it was a very high market establishment, but from the moment we walked into the hotel we were greeted with open arms, the food was incredible and the service was fantastic, especially Peter and Fran, they were great with my children and made my day very special, highly recommend this restaurant, will definitely be going back.

On a tube strike Tuesday and drizzly rain we arrived to a delightful welcome,charming service and excellent food/wine. We shall certainly return.

I ate here with my wife last night and overall had a nice meal. The restaurant is nicely decorated and comfortable although surprisingly wasn’t that busy considering it was a Saturday evening. I felt that the waiters push for me to order the pricier wine was the wrong side of forward and didn’t necessarily feel like he was listening to me. We both had soufflé for starters which were delicious. For mains my wife ordered the turbot and I the lobster linguine - the linguine I had to send back, the sauce didn’t taste very fresh and lacked a lobster sauce flavour that was promised. I then changed it for the turbot too which we both thought was very good, although maybe slightly overpriced for what you get. I would go back but not necessarily in a hurry.

1) All day dining including Sunday - hard to find in the area 2) Excellent quality 3) Nice ambience, very professional and polite service — There was a bit of confusion among the waiters - one of them asked us if we want dessert menu while we were still waiting for the main courses. — Good choice of Negroni and cocktails in general. I recommend this as pre-performance dinner option for Royal Albert Hall.

A lovely restaurant with great waiting staff, delicious food, all set in a really ambient dining area. I couldn't fault the experience, albeit a quiet night. Would certainly return.

I piatti deliziosi e ben presentati, ricalcano perfettamente le ricette italiane come da tradizione. Consigliatissime le Linguine all'astice. Locale forse un pò old fashioned, ma lo staff sa come rendere unica l'esperienza di qualsiasi ospite.

Great venue to celebrate a birthday. The service was excellent and appreciated the birthday cake/singing. Food OK, but not as outstanding as I enjoyed some years ago.

I feel the value for money is not very good. I know it’s London but £30 is abit much to charge for pasta.

I went there with my friend and we both enjoy very much and had a very good time! Staff are very professional and nice, excellent service!

I love having afternoon tea at Amaranto restaurant so much that I have been there more than 10 times. Wonderful decor and service, and great selection of teas, even though I always go for their Jasmine tea, and cakes and sandwiches are so delicious every time.

Absolutely best service so far that someone like me who doesn’t write reviews feels compelled to write one. Of all the afternoon teas I’ve been, they also made the best birthday cake. Thank you Amaranto team!

There was really nothing I could suggest as an improvement. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and the whole experience was a delight.

Excellent selection of sandwiches and delightful pastries. Good choice of teas - Oolong and Jasmine Silver Needle recommended! Scones were kept back until we were ready for them and they were served warm. Delicious strawberry and basil jam and lemon curd - divine! We started with a glass of rose bubbly - no rush for us to start on the afternoon tea. We were offered several refills of tea and could have ordered more sandwiches had we wished.

I've been here a few times and the quality never wanes - a fantastic restaurant.

We are regulars of this restaurant and it just never disappoints but exceeds expectations!!! Amazing service again from Peter and Marco!!! - who looked after us! We had prawn tempura and burrata and by friend had goats cheese salad accompanied by plenty of Prosecco and champagne!

Stunning interior design, I felt like I was on holiday just from having breakfast in the terrace. Food was absolutely impeccable, even coffe you could taste a very big difference in quality from any other and service is just amazing. We got served by Antonio. I will return soon for sure, loved everything about it.

The Amaranto is like home from home for us as we've been going regularly for years. Unfortunately we hadn't been able to go for a while due to covid. Yesterday the service was average at best. The waiter informed us that due to covid and Brexit they needed to train more waiters, and that was the reason they were so under staffed. While I understand this, I'm not sure why they would then add 15% service charge to the bill knowing the service wasn't up to scratch. The desserts were unreasonably expensive, although they were delicious. The lounge looked dusty and the doors had finger prints all over them. I will not be rushing to go back any time soon. I must say, food was the same high standard and we thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered, thank you chef. As we were paying premium prices, we expected premium service and environment, unfortunately we get it.

Christmas tree was AMAZING! Love the Four Seasons, they never let me down!

When we arrived we were told that Afternoon tea doesn’t start until 3pm. But the would squeeze us in (it was booked for 1.30 on a Saturday that’s when afternoon tea starts!!!). Asked for a decaf tea for my son and wife was given a large tea pot with one twinnings tea bag!!! This is meant for one cup yet they deemed it acceptable for a pot! Sandwiches arrived after 50 minutes and the bread on the end ones were starting to go hard and had obviously been left uncovered! Bare in mind we were there for the first sitting! I’ve had Tea at the Dorchester, Savoy, Ritz, Claridges and Browns and have throughly enjoyed them all however, to say The Four Seasons was a disappointment is an understatement. It was a complete waste of time and money and I do not recommend this experience for anyone. Worst Afternoon Tea in London.

Excellent choice of sandwiches and waiter asked if we wanted more. Pastries were like Christmas decorations - quite stunning. Very quiet due to Covid and missed the live pianist, only piped music. We always come here when we visit London and are never disappointed

It was a unique experience dining outside - the food was excellent, although the pricing was punchy even for the Four Seasons and London.

Highly recommend the afternoon tea. The sandwiches were generously filled and fresh whilst the sweets were unique and tasty. The team at Amaranto Four Seasons made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back soon.

This is one of the best bars in London - the cocktails are amazing, so unique and exceptionally delish. They have a special Negroni selection that is the best we have had - highly recommend for a drink.

Had a lovely evening at the Four Seasons! The chef managed to produce an afternoon tea menu on short notice, even though it's not formally served yet. The sandwiches were good & topped up on request. And the selection of pastries was very impressive, delicious all round. They acknowledged my birthday with a chocolate truffle platter in the end, which was a nice touch. Will revisit again soon!

A huge rip off. I paid 55 pounds for a burger thqt wasn’t even worth 10. Lobster pasta was also mediocre. They had decent drinks but I am definitely not going there again and one of the worst value meals I had in some time

We visit Amaranto a few times every month and it’s always a pleasure. The food is fantastic and the team are very helpful if you have any dietary preferences. Fantastic service as always in a Four Seasons.

Really nice but I wanted something special for my partners birthday. There was no happy birthday Vidur on the dessert plate as requested. It was a a little shame to be honest, other than that the venue and atmosphere was lovely.

From the beginning we were treated extremely well: great service, all my previous communicated requests about the table were adhered to, outstanding service from all the staff and really great food. A great experience and very good value for money! I truly recommend.

I visit here regularly so know how great it always is!!! It was a friends birthday and I advised them in advance - they were superb!!! We had a wonderful mixed fish dish with a mushroom linguine and drinks in between!!! As a final course they presented my friend with a plate of chocolates and macaroons with her name and happy birthday written across the plate!! It was a great evening as always!!

Wonderful afternoon tea experience in London. The staff is very friendly. There are options to sit at a regular table or around a coffee table with a sofa and chairs. We chose the latter and were very comfortable. They have wonderful options for vegetarians and our meat eating friend also enjoyed the experience. We were very full by the end of the meal. The tea is absolutely delicious! And there is also a piano player during afternoon tea that provides wonderful ambiance.

Everything was perfect; Food, drink, service, location, ambience... Will definitely be going back many more times.

We had New Years lunch and the staff were extremely friendly. The food was excellent. They even bought a dessert with a candle as had mentioned it was my husband’s birthday. Great way to kick off the year!

I’ve been to most of the afternoon teas in London and the sandwiches here were amongst the best of them, however the service was some of the worst. Constantly having to remind staff that we were waiting for whatever on our order etc. Very non-attentive and disappointing, so much so that we ended up not paying the service charge, something that we rarely do and only as a last resort.

Terrible experience, we were greeted by an attendant called Emiliano who was very rude and just gave the us the energy that we are not welcomed there. Very disappointing as i’m a fan of four seasons and dint expect this attitude from anyone.

I have booked dinner for two and it was such a great experience. The food was very tasty, we started with some Calamari and nice bread with two cool mocktails. The service team was very friendly and super helpful in choosing the items off the menu. We had lobster linguine and lovely whole grilled sea bass with roasted vegetables, fresh was fresh and the pasta was spot on. Then some tea and light desserts and the evening was perfect. Special shout to Emiliano Papacci for making this night quite special. Looking forward to visiting again

It was my last night in London , so I decided to go for fine Italian cuisine . Staff and the sommelier were perfect ! Food was great and big variety of wines !

Came here to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday . On booking I mentioned that it was her 21st and the staff went over and above to make our visit special .We had a private room for the 6 of us which was fab .The food was absolutely delicious especially the seafood platters which were so fresh and the Frito Misto was good too . The chef came over to serve an amuse bouche at the table which was a Sicilian Gnocchi with pork which was really tasty too . The dessert table was so impressive with delicious cakes , pastries and fruit in abundance .The singer was great too making this an absolutely great experience all round .Thanks especially to Dharam for making this celebration so special , your team are amazing , we can’t wait to return ......

I visited here with family on Christmas Day to have Christmas Lunch (set menu). The Pianist playing just before entering the restaurant was wonderful and the decorations were truly stunning, it really set a festive ambience. Lunch was delicious and just as expected at the Four Seasons. There was a ‘Father Christmas’ who went over to the tables with Children seated and wished them Christmas greetings & handed out presents, my daughter loved it!

Fabulous food , ambience and a great bar

Wouldn’t recommend it or go back. Definitely not four seasons standards. Food below average and not very Italian either. Burrata with green peas and a garlic paste on top? Never had this in Italy. I’ve also mentioned on open table it was for a birthday celebration, and it didn’t make any difference.

Feeling a bit peckish before returning to our hotel across the road my wife and I decided to try Amaranto. Being a warm London evening we decided to sit outside in the courtyard area. When we mentioned that we were just after a few light meals there was no problems. We ordered a cheese platter and a really good middle eastern platter. Along with something new for me - a bottle of English wine! It was actually really good!Food and service were simply outstanding. We had a great evening here and would not hesitate to return when next in London.

Peppi is wonderful ,the new menu is great but you can still get a couple old favorites like the tomato soup and the super salad. We do miss Alexander but wish him well. A wonderful restaurant!

Wonderful people ! We loved the concept of picking many smaller plates and sharing . The pastas were outstanding and having just arrived in London after two weeks in Sicily we were used to great Italian Food ! And that continued at this restaurant. Fernando , the sommelier, was friendly and gracious in sharing his extensive knowledge and providing a wonderful, little known Sicilian White Wine . Thanks to Giuseppe for welcoming us and getting us off to a great start for our evening . The Wait Staff are all A +++ ! And the food is wonderful, our thanks to the Chef and Kitchen !

Food was very disappointing. Beautiful room in a Four Star or more restaurant. Very basic preparation and flavors were just not there. Kind of like eating at A chain restaurant in a beautiful room.

Breakfast had so many selections it was hard to select just one item, fruit was fresh, many gluten free and dairy free choices, eggs were done to our exact order. Dinner and bar food were delicious.

Fantastic service from everyone at Amaranto, from the moment of arrival, to our departure, my wife and I were treated impeccably well with warm, friendly hospitality and an attention to detail that you would expect from the Four Seasons. The food was amazing, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented with a real sense of occasion, delivered to the table with style and elegance. The decor is typically 'hotel restaurant' in style, but lavishly appointed with small touches that provide reassuring opulence to the venue. To finish our evening we moved into the bar area where the first class service continued and the generous cocktails were expertly crafted and delicious. I would thoroughly recommend the complete dining experience at Amaranto which also has a delightful terrace area should you be lucky enough to have good weather during your visit.

Qué maravilloso lugar para un brunch de los domingos. Optamos por el brunch de champán Ruinart sin fondo 89 y qué valor increíble era. No es el gran buffet que usaron, pero puedes elegir del menú para que todo esté fresco y definitivamente no pases hambre. El personal es increíble y nos sentimos bajo ninguna presión. Después del brunch nos sentamos al sol en su hermosa terraza durante un par de horas. Realmente no puede haber un lugar fabuloso para pasar un domingo por la mañana / tarde en todo Londres. El cantante también fue absolutamente excepcional.

Mid week dinner with friends on a super warm London evening. We secured and outside table which was perfect as it was s lovely evening. Great service, fabulous rose champagne and a lovely frittura mista of seafood and vegetables. Nothing else to say, highly recommended.

We were pleasantly surprised with the services, the attention from the Italian’s ( Gio even walk me to the ladies) plus the food was excellent and the starters was very delicious - I do recommend the seafood mixed. We will definitely go back there.

We’re a fan of Four Seasons Hotel & to have Amaranto in their premises is icing on the cake. It’s just nice to escape from the hustle & bustle of the city & eat in a great restaurant with good service. I’ll surely go back there again.

What can I say? The wine was perhaps the best I have ever drank. An excellent venue, curiously quiet given its location. Maybe because it was a Sunday evening?

Had an afternoon tea for Mother's Day & really enjoyed it! Sandwiches & scones were, just as expected, fresh & tasty. Pastries very creative & delicious! The setting is an elegant, uniquely designed & comfortable lounge, which makes you feel perfectly relaxed. The cherry on the top was a small gift for me as a mum. Would definitely go back again!

Outstanding service, perfectly modern and chic setting. Scallops were exceptional. Burrata was good. Pastas should have been much better at this price point. They were ok but we enjoy going out to dinner to savor fresh, flavorful presentations. I have been to seven Four Seasons around the world and this dinner was the most underwhelming of all of them. It also took ten minutes to receive our drinks. The bar staff were overwhelmed with a full lounge and almost empty restaurant. That was confusing for an early Saturday night. Wouldn’t they expect this volume of guests? Our server was five star. She was charming, professional, and you would want to work with her as your colleague. The staff at the host stand were also very friendly. The lobby and lounge area also create a grand feeling as you approach the restaurant. Five stars in that regard as well. More of my choice would be to have a later night drink in the lounge with that ridiculously perfect chocolate dessert we had last year on our visit here. We came to London for three nights of dinners and this was the most expensive and the biggest disappointment. Many better options out there - again restaurant service, restaurant and host staff, setting were all perfect - the bar delays for both drink orders and food quality was driver for scoring low.

Absolutely top notch afternoon tea and service. I rated poorly on noise as they were vacuuming behind me which was a bit annoying.

I went with my boyfriend for a date night and we loved it! He loved it so much that he made friends with the waiter haha both lovers of wine. The food and service was top notch. Worth every penny. We will definitely return.

A wonderful Sunday birthday brunch for our daughter's 4th birthday, celebrated in style. Carlos, Sonia and Gaia were so welcoming and accommodating to our young family. Finding a Paddington Bear for the birthday girl with balloons and a miniature Paddington rattle for her baby sister. The food is delicious, beautifully presented. There is the buffet plus a small a la carte offering. Also thank you as well to the Concierge at the hotel, Claudia and Michael for the organisation. An afternoon that will remain long in the memory!

My wife and I came for brunch on Sunday and had a wonderful time! The food was excellent and the service top-notch. We will certainly be coming back! Highly Recommended

Ristorante estremamente piacevole per una cena, ambiente caldo curato e raffinato, servizio impeccabile e puntuale, come sentirsi davvero coccolati.

The food is fantastic, no doubt about it, the desserts in particular have a wow factor. But. What makes this restaurant truly great is the staff. They were welcoming, professional, friendly and genuinely passionate about the restaurant. I really hope the owner appreciates them. It was a memorable evening out. We were, I think, the only diners not staying at the hotel. The clientele were a mix of families and groups of friends, and we were a couple. We went as a treat, it's pricey, but well, it is Mayfair. But it was absolutely worth it.

The service was attentive and the waiters explained the courses as they were served. They were cognisant of any guests with food intolerances. The food was well presented. Generally the savoury dishes were very good.

Went here with 3 friends and we all ordered different items. They were all great from the steaks to sea food. Fairly priced too for location. Lovely ambience nice and dark and cosy. The steak was great all cuts we got. Overall 5:5

Uno podría hacer tantas visitas como quisiera y los platos principales preparados en la cocina llegaron exactamente cuando se los solicitó. Los de Bellini fueron realmente interminables, aunque me causaron una indigestión, así que pedí una copa de vino, que era bastante cara, por lo que probablemente lo mejor sería permanecer en la pista, que incluía agua y bebidas calientes. We were staggered by the extensive range of starters, deserts, joints from the carvery, as well as main courses prepared by the kitchen. One could make as many visits as one wished and the mains prepared in the kitchen arrived exactly when requested. Bellini’s were truly endless, though they give me indigestion so I ordered a glass of wine, which was quite expensive, so it probably best to stay on piste, which did include water and hot drinks. During the meal two of the chefs (one complete with toque – nice touch) came around with a freshly prepared dish of risotto which was marvellous. Service was attentive and extremely friendly. Unfortunately, we only had the capacity to try a small proportion of everything that was on offer.

La comida estaba llena de sabores maravillosos, el servicio era fantástico y la decoración es muy agradable. Tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso. Definitivamente lo recomiendo. Pruebe el buzo de aperitivo de vieira y el plato de pescado y marisco a la parrilla. Si tienes un gran apetito es posible que tengas que pedir un segundo plato.
