A really authentic gastronomic delight tucked away inconspicuously in central London. Food is very tasty (I recommend the gnocchi sorrentina) and very well priced. It’s like a little bit of Italy on your doorstep. I love it!!! 🍕🍕🍕

Pizzas délicieuses - lasagnes généreuses - vins italiens en bonne harmonie avec les plats. Cette adresse ravira les amateurs de cuisine italienne, Sans compter des prix pratiqués tout à fait raisonnables.

I popped in while visiting an office nearby. The slightly faded look of the place was very attractive- you feel you are dining in in a small narrow winding Italian street (in reality, City of London) The waiters were very attentive and I was served very quickly. The food was authentic Italian (my Italian friend vouches for that) and for that area, extremely reasonable. Will go back there again soon.

Fantastic food, buzzing atmosphere, and friendly, helpful staff. It gets busy and a bit crowded, but that just seems to add to its charm. What’s not to like?

Als Vorspeise hatten wir die Burrata und die Bruscetta. Beides sehr lecker. Das Risotto war sehr simpel gehalten aber lecker. Die Pizza hingegen ist nur zu empfehlen. Der Service sehr zuvorkommend und eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Einzig ist dass die Karte sehr klein gehalten ist.

Tucked just behind Blackfriars, this is a great place to get lunch. Friendly, airy, quick service. Classic quality pizzas ( we didn't try the pastas), good red wine and coffee. Sit near the windows and watch the comings and goings from the Apothecaries Hall with its weird crest and flag (is that a blue bear or rhino?). Pay not very much money. We'll be back - recommended.

Possibly London’s best pizza. Definitely amongst the best reasonably priced meals in the City. We had good wine and two fab pizzas for a very modest price - having just been in Italy it did not disappoint by comparison

Abbiamo cenato solo una sera purtroppo perchè lo abbiamo scoperto tardi. Pasta buonissima, la pizza molto buona, in italia ne trovi di peggiori. Personale gentile e disponibile la ragazza italiana di cui non so il nome è stata fantastica e ci ha fatto sentire a casa. Rapporto qualità prezzo direi eccellente, anche perchè il cibo era ottimo e a Londra è una rarità. Se vi trovate a Londra non sbagliate e andate sul sicuro qui !!!!

It is tricky to find but it was worth it. We stayed at Blackfriars premier Inn,which was 5 mins away. There's a lively flat iron old pub one min away near the train station but this place is tucked down a side street. It was busy but quiet with large windows all along the front looking on to some old and grand buildings. The service was attentive, friendly and very speedy. We had olives which were gorgeous, pizzas and a bottle of house wine. Service was included and for the three of us, the bill came to £56. Pizzas were great. There's a handful of pasta dishes and you can have pizza on white or wholemeal dough. Recommend 100%.

Esto está en nuestra lista de visitas obligadas, cada año cuando venimos a Londres. Excelente comida consistente, servicio y ambiente. Llegue temprano a la hora del almuerzo, ya que parece ser un favorito local. Si el clima es agradable, definitivamente trate de sentarse afuera. Nos alegramos de ver al viejo dueño nuevamente en control. Teníamos el aperitivo especial de tomates, mozzarella, rúcula y jamón. Delicioso. Compartimos una pizza de aceitunas y jamón. Con un poco de pan de ajo y 2 copas de vino por 30 libras, no te puedes equivocar. Volveremos muchas veces antes de irnos.

Si te encanta la pizza, este lugar es de visita obligada. Paso junto a este restaurante todos los días y siempre he querido probarlo, ¡finalmente lo probé hoy y no me decepcionó! La comida era increíble ya un precio muy razonable para Londres, el comienzo fue amable y atento, y el postre fue presentado maravillosamente. Me encantó y volveré!

Had an evening to fill near Blackfriars Bridge and decided to try this place from previous reviews. Perfect setting in a small side street secluded from traffic (to the extent that eating outside on a nice sunny evening was possible). Limited menu of classic starters at very reasonable prices followed by good selection of pizzas at £11. Perfectly cooked classic style, plenty of toppings. Hard to fault. Coupled with excellent attentive staff, a real hidden gem!

Not far from the hustle and bustle of St Paul’s you’ll find this charming pizzeria with a charming host, also excellent white wines.

We had a great meal out here recently with our family of five. The restaurant is tucked away in a lovely spot across from Apothecary Hall. The service we had was just great and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Highly recommend this spot.

This place is hidden on the back streets around Blackfriars but is always busy at lunchtime.

First visit and will be back. The pizzas were very good and the is choice eg whole meal, no cheese, vegetarian etc. Deserts good as well! There is a good selection of mostly Italian wines and beers. Our waitress was excellent. Very good location for Bridewell theatre, Blackfriars Station etc. There are tables outside for fine days.

Here it is all about pastas and pizzas, lovely spot, pizzas are very good, very tasty but I can not say the same for pastas !

I stumbled upon this little family run restaurant whilst down London for a course. The staff were really friendly and made me feel very welcome. The pizzas looked amazing but I opted for a garlic bread starter followed by the Rissotto, which was delicious. The place is obviously popular with city workers popping in on the way home and probably return time after time. Overall, good food, nice beer and very reasonably priced given it's location close to St Paul's.

We were rushing to catch a flight from Gawick and desperate to find food near Blackfriars station. We just ordered a pizza each explaining we were in a hurry. Pizza arrived quickly and was delicious. Proper Italian pizza. We literally were there 25 minutes and will definitely visit here again and take our time to enjoy the wonderful food.

Lovely atmosphere in this family-run restaurant. The staff here are truly lovely, helpful and deliver service to a high standard. It's a spacious restaurant with a good bar and large windows onto the quiet streets. Quite sweet really. Menu wise, all pasta and pizza is the same price (£10.45), so you can't really complain about the value. I opted for the Pasta Alla Campidanese (see photo). Lovely sausage meat and good portion size! ...But bland, unfortunately. And I'm not usually someone to notice a lack of flavour. I must come back and try the pizza ! I wouldn't rule out dining here again at all.

Had pizza and red wine for dinner here. Asked for a recommendation for wine to best match the food; what we received was one not on the menu, but a perfect match. Surly staff. Tatty menus. Limited choices. Tired furnishings. Soft drinks served in cans, etc, etc. Such a shame as the food was real, authentic, tasty Italian comfort food, and the prices were very reasonable.

So comically rude, I thought it was an act. No, indeed this restaurant seems to be staffed by the most obnoxious and arrogant people in all of London. Note: I’m Canadian and usually get along with everyone.

This restaurant/bar is conveniently located opposite the ancient and worshipful Society of Apothecaries so it very convenient for a post lecture meal. Four of us had an excellent meal and glass or two. The staff were polite and the service excellent (10% charge included). Will definitely visit again with or without preceding lecture!

Went with work colleagues and the service was quick and efficient. The highlight for me was having the option to have one half of the pizza vegetarian topping and the other half mushroom.

El Maitre D 'hizo todo lo posible para satisfacer todas las demandas, pero su personal no pudo cumplir. 10 minutos de espera para un Aperol Spritz, otros 10 minutos de espera para Ice Cubes y Still Water. I find myself down on the work trail around the St Paul’s area every couple of weeks and had been getting in the bad habit of relying on the usual fast food outlets but a colleague recommended this lovely spot a hop, skip and jump from hotel. Lovely atmosphere and always a good crowd. Staff fantastico and look after you well. You will see bigger menus but what they have hits the mark with me and a small but varied wine list.

Overpriced for the quality of food - pizzas had a whole wheat crust that was neither thick nor thin and were uninspired. It was close by to our hotel so convenient but otherwise completely unremarkable.

Really nice restaurant, a bit off the beaten track. It had has a nice ambience, when it's dark and wet outside. The pizzas were really reasonable for central London prices. The food and wine were nice. Service was good - friendly, but not intrusive.

Charming Italian eatery on Blackfriars Lane, tucked away in a back street off Ludgate Hill and Queen Victoria Street. I ate here twice because the Gnocchi all Sorrentina was sooo good and the staff treated me like a regular (even though it was my first time). The second time I tried the Quattro Stagioni pizza, and as a picky native New Yorker I was pleasantly surprised!

You have to put in effort to find this place but it is worth it. Pizza was well made and fairly priced. My wife had lasagna which was moist and a good sauce. They need to expand their wine offerings.

Visited this restaurant several times last year whilst staying for a few weeks and will be staying a while this year.The standard is just as we found it last year.Good food, service and wine.The menu isn't huge but all the better for that.Pasta cooked al dente,rare find these days.Will be making a few visits in the future.

Found this restaurant whilst searching for another but so glad we chose to eat here. Authentic food produced in a traditional style (no modern ping food here). We enjoyed the gnocchi and the pasta which were both complemented by delicious and flavoursome sauces. The staff are excellent - good produce knowledge and attentive throughout. This will become our 'go to' places when in the Blackfriars area and we look forward to bringing friends to share a meal here. Money isn't everything but this place is great value - starter, main and glass of wine for two for just £40 :)

A must-try pizza place when you are in the Blackfriar, London. Frm L to R: the restaurant facade, inside the pizza house, (1) Pizza with bacon, mushroom and onions, (2) Pizza with Pepperoni, anchovies, tomato and mushroom and (3) Ricotta cheesecake with pear and Raspberry sorbet. We already ate here twice and will go back again before we leave London. Service attendants are friendly too.

Mi problema es que mi placa tan clara si me dan una gran porción en el almuerzo me volveré a comer. La ventaja es porciones grandes y la comida estaba bien, pero para mí era pesado para un almuerzo. Opciones limitadas para ensalada de atún - una opción y gambas y poco más. Así que si eres un buen comer y como grandes porciones todo bien.

This is a great restaurant with friendly staff serving fantastic pizza. The ambiance and tone is spot on (no frills) and the restaurant would not be out of place if situated on an idyllic Italian beach!

Al tomar mi pedido le pregunté al gerente qué tipo de jamón estaba en el capriciosa. Él me gritó "gesticulated jamón cocinado" como ID de pedido una estúpida pregunta. Resultó ser la especie de jamón poner en los bocadillos de almuerzos escolares de mi hijo. El aceite de chili en la tabla es parada, no la use. Sabe como semanas chip aceite viejo, quemado con un fuerte sabor de chili. Nadie me gustó que probamos. El restaurante en sí es bonita, pero la comida y el gerente me disuade a de volver.

Walking from Blackfriars station to our hotel we stumbled on this great little restaurant. Service was friendly and fast. We ordered a pizza to share with half and half as well as their own style bruschetta. Reasonably priced and lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth the visit.

This is the fourth time I've eaten at this place, but the first with my husband. This is a small intimate restaurant tucked away in Black Friars Lane and it serves delicious, home made and piping hot food. The menu isn't huge but there is still plently of choice from pizza and pasta to vegetarian mains and salads. The wine is good too. Try the local house red! The staff are attentive and the place is always busy but they seem to manage to attend to everyone without being overbearing or neglecting customers. A real diamond of a place.

Really cracking pizza spot for lunch. Heartily recommend it. The perroni is cold and the staff are pretty good too. Starters are not really worth it, but otherwise the food is great and decent value.

I'd forgotten how good this place was. It's the wrong end of the City for me so I was last here about 3 years ago. It's a wee bit off the beaten track, which may be why it's a wee bit cheaper, but it was a thoroughly genuine Italian experience, in the City of London. Went with a colleague who was visiting from abroad and staying nearby. Everyone working at this place was Italian, which inspires a certain confidence in the authenticity of the cuisine. We must have been served by 4 different people, at intervals during the evening - there was none of the "yes I know you haven't been served for 20 minutes while I'm doing nothing but you're not at one of my tables" which you get in some places, especially in big cities. The food was excellent, generously proportioned, high quality ingredients. The waiters/ waitresses were a lively bunch and morale was clearly high - my heart does sink when you get a waiter/waitress who is in full 'Cinderella' mode who makes you feel like you've just shot Bambi's mum. I left this restaurant feeling very happy with the world, which at the end of a long business day, was rather nice.

I happened upon this location on a quiet back corner. The food was excellent, service was attentive and knowledgeable and the location was clean and inviting. After a full dinner with appetizers, coffee and dessert, I found the bill to very reasonable especially for the quality of food and service. I would definitely return to this restaurant and highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality, casual Italian meal.

This is a really friendly and buzzing place that serves pretty authentic Italian food. We ordered a garlic bread with cheese. This comes as a thin crust pizza - nice as a starter. Then we had 2 pizzas and 2 mains off the specials board. They all went! Clean plates all round! The 2 desserts were probably superfluous but irresistible. Add to this a couple of Peronis and a bottle of the house red and this was an excellent dining experience at quite reasonable prices. The location is a little off the beaten track, but not overly so and it has a little square where there are seats and tables. In the balmy weather, these were packed full, so we ate inside.The staff were excellent, the waitress we had was supremely helpful at explaining the menu items that need clarification.

Italiano que encontramos un poco por casualidad un poco escondido pero cercano a la catedral de St. Paul, todo lo tomamos estuvo muy bueno y nos atendieron muy bien, tranquilo y en la terraza se esta bien, si tenemos que poner una pega es la cerveza.

The wrong order got delivered to a couple, took a while to get the attention of a waiter who then delivered the food which had cooled to the correct destination. Food: decent food. Crispy filling pizza. Well cooked and well populated with toppings.

Vi var en familie med to børn, som var inde og spise pizza. Det blev til fire forskellige lækre pizzaer, drikkevarer og en forret for ca 75 pund. Det er ganske fint for London. Ville helt sikkert komme igen.

Found Harry's by pure chance last night and what a great find.A friendly and inviting welcome at the door, we walked in to a lovely atmospheric restaurant. A real one off with a great Italian family feel to it. My dad had a pizza and me and mum the stuffed pork special, all delicious. Can't fault anything. Great service, great food, great restaurant. Great evening out.

All is well in this place, Friday evenings seem to be quiet which is good, nice friendly service & good food, they do have a few specials which are not on the menu but only when you visit. I would go again, well prepared & fresh, its not a huge menu for choice but worth going.
