Never disappointed by the food and atmosphere here. It's a great local pub.

The sticky toffee pudding is amazing!

Dog friendly, clean, smart and modern but still very comfortable. We didn't eat but the diners there praised the food highly.

Had the lamb, which was a disappointment. Although the lamb was nice, it came with too many small potatoes and some beans. No option to add some vegetables that would have transformed the meal. The salad for other meals came with the dressing already added but not announced in the menu. Complaints about this as the salads were not touched were met with deaf ears. Any decent place would at least apologise and offer some alternative. Our previous visit was far better, so hope this is a blip, although in my view the staff could do with some training.

The ambiance is just lovely. The staff are friendly, attentive and very polite. The food is tasty and portions are huge, I had to get some packed to take home. We were quite frequent patrons before the pandemic. So glad that this family run business is doing well. We go with our in-laws to enjoy an evening together and are never disappointed.

The Windsor Castle is our local and the place of many happy celebrations. So it seemed only fitting to hold my late husband’s Wake there. And what a wonderful occasion it was - they put on a real show for my husband and couldn’t have been more supportive to me and my family. It was a truly wonderful send off for my husband - he would have Thank you to everyone involved.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, generous and very tasty portions at a reasonable price. We come here frequently and it never disappoints!

My self and my wife had dinner there on Friday. We had a starter of the cheese goujons and 2no main meals. My wife had the sea bass and I had the burger. Food was well cooked but completely lacked flavour. The lemon sauce which came with the fish wasn’t enough and the overall dish lacked seasoning. The burger the same. Staff were extremely helpful and polite.

Famous for two things: 1) the crispy fish and chips (often referred to as "whale & chips" due to the humongous size of the fillet) 2) being former Prime Minister Theresa May's local pub. The service was so warm, friendly and genuine, we felt really well looked after during our visit. The fish & chips is indeed amazing, but you won't need to eat for two or three days afterwards, it's that big. Would love if there were more local ales on tap.

Hands down the absolute best seafood linguine in the u.k. you eat this dish and it will surf your dreams for the rest of your life.

Amazing pub , beautifully decorated, attractive and mostly immaculate. Went with my mum who needed help to go in because of her difficulties in walking and asked for help , the young gentleman who was so eager and attentive to meet our need was superb . The food was delicious and the service was great . Attention to detail is something i love and i found it there. Excellent service! Will highly recommend.

Great food great beer good atmosphere

Happened upon this little gem by chance. We were passing on a little escape from London and feeling more than a little hungry. So we parked up and entered. We were greeted as soon as we approached the bar. We picked up what we thought was a food menu, but was actually desserts, the food menu was immediately offered. We were asked if we would like to take a seat and we would be served at the table. Confused, we agreed. I am used to waiting at the bar, being ignored, served last at other bars. This was a new experience in customer service for me. Our server approached almost immediately, he was friendly, offered advice and took our order of pork kebabs and sea bass and our drinks order. We asked if we could pop outside, as we are smokers, for a quick cigarette, no problem he said. There is a large garden outside and we carried our drinks with us and quickly settled outside enjoying our drinks in the receding May sunshine. We were caught up in a conversation and remained there. Hardly any time had passed and our server came to inform us that our food was ready and had been served at our table. We did not hang around we were hungry. So here comes the best bit, the food served in huge portions was outstanding. My friend had ordered the sea bass and although she is not a big eater I saw her demolish the whole plate. I was not as fortunate, I ate this delicious food and ate and ate but there was no way I could finish. So if you have a big appetite you will not be disappointed. The pork was perfectly cooked, served with mushrooms and red, green and orange peppers the salad with a perfect dressing, side of tzatziki and the pitta bread, well no the pitta bread was not the cardboard we have learnt to expect but was soft and perfect. So here we are we have already eaten too much but we are discussing desserts and decided to order a cheesecake to share. It arrived and we were scared of it's size, but we forced ourselves to devour most of it. Our trip home was uneventful we were happy, satisfied and eager to go to our respective homes and sleep of this food bonanza. Thank you for showing me how service should be in a pub. Thank you for being so friendly, open and serving us a feast. I would love to become a regular but at best I can commit to visiting again, and again and again. Please keep doing what your doing as you are so close to having to take reservations as you will be fully booked in the future I am sure. Stana

友人につれて行ってもらいました。パブあるあるで、迷ったらお店の冠バーガーを頼むところ今回はムール貝をオーダー。これあたりでした。スープが絶品、パスタを加えて食べたかったです。サービスも非常のよくナイスなランチでした。後食後に頼んだエスプレッソかなり美味しかったです。また訪問したいなあ。

We visited for the first time this week after moving to the area. We received a lovely warm welcome from the friendly staff and had a great meal. The food is absolutely fantastic. Would highly recommend.

We love going to The Windsor Castle for a family meal out. The staff are really friendly and always try to find you a table plus the quality of the food is excellent. We usually go with our dog and they serve the full menu in the bar area which is dog friendly. The whole place (staff and patrons) has a friendly atmosphere and you are made to feel welcome. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Good food and good customer service. Calm environment, more a restaurant than a pub, ideal to dine in with friends and have a nice chat. Deserts are really good!

We had Sunday roast. It was delicious and tasted home made, not salty or greasy. The staff are beautiful and super nice!

We went in for some drinks and really enjoyed it. Harrison who was our server was absolutely outstanding. He genuinely knew how about customer service and how to look after customers.

Well Maintained, clean and neat. Staff are friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is pleasant and vibrant.

Popped up for the second time, never disappointing, friendly and professional staff, fast service, lovely food, sticky toffee pudding was absolutely amazing. Definitely we'll be back soon.

Restaurant is nice, food excellent including large servings of each meal we had. Only downside was staff were quite busy and we had to wait a half hour for the bill.

Nice, spacious pub in Maidenhead. Not many options for vegetarians, 2 to be precise and very expensive (around London price for drinks). They have good collection of drinks as you would expect. Lot of parking space near the pub. I recommend.

So happy The Windsor Castle has reopened with its fantanstic Mediterranean garden. The service is super quick and the food and drinks are exceptional, the introduction of cocktails was a welcome additon. Booking over busy periods is recommeded as the place was full all night. Had a wonderful evening and would highly recommend. Thanks so much

Fantastic! Had a team Christmas lunch for a large number of people. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing and the portions were enormous. Totally recommend!

Although the food was ok main courses did not come with any accompanying veg. I would have expected the teriyaki fish to come with oriental style veg but had to order seasonal veg as a side which did not compliment the main. Disappointed.

Was told the fish with the fish and chips would be bigger than my plate. Was not disappointed! Really nice pub with friendly staff, nice atmosphere and good food. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

No ambience but always fantastic food

22 of us travelled from bristol to have a meal for my son.staff were so lovely.nothing was too much trouble.we all loved the food.we had so much meat we took what we couldnt eat for the dogs. Shame its so far away

Low standards food and service in my opinion. The staff are pleasant, the food is low quality and tastes like its bought in frozen or pre-perpared so it would seem that there's no skill involved for the "cook". If your alright with low standards then go for it, but if you have higher expectations this probably isn't the place for you.
