We had amazing homemade steak pie with Fresh Veg and Creamy Mash .....all freshly made, portions were big and filling, the steak melts in your mouth cooked perfectly how I like it. Staff were so friendly and attentive and made us feel so welcome ... Our first time here and we will be regulars now

I always pop in for breakfast when I’m in the area, I always get a warm friendly welcome from Kirsty and her team. The Jumbo Breakfast is fantastic value, but everything on the menu not only looks good, but tastes fantastic and is excellent value for money. Kirsty is also an excellent caterer and has provided me with some great buffets and afternoon teas to take out.

We had been looking at tiles at a nearby superstore and were in need of refreshment. We had heard of this cafe which was only a few minutes walk away. Don't be put off by appearances from outside. The old booking office for the long closed railway line has a log burner and old photo's inside. We had a bacon buttie each (£3) which was full of bacon and a hot drink. Very good value and a great menu. Lot's of workmen as in industrial area but don't let it put you off. Would definitely return.

Rang this cafe in the morning to see if they could deliver an afternoon tea to our friends . Kirsty was extremely helpful and the tea was delivered that afternoon. The food was amazing and I can't thank them enough for their help

This place is far more than a working mans cafe. The food on offer here is outstanding. The service is always with a smile and it’s a real friendly place to stop for a meal or just a snack on the go

A charming little cafe in the business/industrial area. A cozy real fire is the first thing that greets you. This was outdone by the friendly girls who served me big smiles even at 7:45 on cold December morning. The food was great value too and perfectly cooked.

The food came after a short waiting time and was amazing when we received it, was suitable for my younger siblings who are picky with their foods

Lovely HUGE jumbo breakfast and so cheap. A cosy feel to the cafe with a real log burning stove but what really made it were the friendly staff. Happy to give 5 big stars.

What can I say, first visit here superb went back today really looking forward to it and what a dissapointment, firstly they have gone from using good quality sauces to cheap vinegary sauces the brown sauce was disgusting, the sausages were soft and rubbery probably being left too long in the Bain Marie, the toast was warm bread no colour on it at all it was disgusting ,also noticed not as many people in as were last time we visited, i just hope this bad visit was a one off not sure though if we will be visiting again the lady who served us seemed impatient and not interested at all.

What excellent value for money and fantastic tasty food, my son had visited this place while on a driving lesson and all I can say is what a find, we had jumbo breakfast 2 sausage(not plastic) 2 bacon,2 egg fried bread toast mushrooms and black pudding beans and tomatoes with a tea and coffe for £4.20 each the food was all fresh piping hot a customer opposite was having the homemade steak pie with chips and veg it had a massive suet crust it looked fantastic can't wait to go back to give that a try, another couple of customers were having homemade chicken curry that also looked superd everything home made and what value at £4.00 for a homemade meal and a tea or coffee, whoever owns or runs this place you are doing a excellent job and what fantastic lovelly food can't wait to return thank you.

I've been coming here for three months now and have lost two stone by eating healthy, all the food is homemade and very nice, the owner is a , I have now been converted!!very modern thinking woman who offers alternative food which other cafes don't, I used to just ask for a medium breakfast and a cup of tea, after seeing the salads and trying one I now prefer these it's more education than a tea break

Visited the newly opened Hideaway Cafe for breakfast. The breakfast sandwich was packed with bacon, very reasonably priced and high quality, staff friendly, will definitely return.

Good meeting place for friends. Visited for morning coffee and scones. The cakes etc are home made and absolutely delicious. Our scones had just come out of the oven! The atmosphere is delightful and friendly. Staff always have time to have a quick chat and to make recommendations. It’s a real hidden gem.

Sat inside the restaurant, as a family of 4. Food very tasty as usual and efficiently served by Marie, who always gives great service. 👍
