It's a convenient place for my wife and I to stay whilst visiting relatives. It's clean with a lovely breakfast and lovely service.

The mueu has been changed alot the food wasn't up to it's normal standers ether hard to get any table severe there big gab in between our food comeing out ,our table was olny hafe cleaned we to eat our pudding looking at the plates from our main course we was really disappointed at the visit this time we wouldn't recommend it to anyone anymore staff were like head less chicken you ether couldn't find any or there were out side talking among there self's no rush getting our tables cleaned or bring out the main courses ether was a nightmare it's was really buzzy too no staff around to help anyone I waited 15 mins at bar to get a glass of coke waited 24mins to get my bill paid was a real disaster Friday night

Back again, food good as always, value for money. Im practically a local now, just like to mention how friendly RYAN always is, when obviously busy he always has a smile and a quick chat.

The experience was really good. Food and drink come out quickly. I love the fact you can order from the table. The only issue was when we ordered through the link it automatically separated to starters and main when we wanted it all together. Food was really nice and reasonably priced. Will be back.

I originally planned to stay at the Willows for 2 nights, however, due to the snow/icey weather conditions I had no alternative but to extend my stay for a further 2 nights. The staff were exceptional and couldn't have accommodated me more. They were all friendly, helpful and approachable especially as it was my first time to the area. The food in the restaurant was beautiful and my room was extremely clean and comfortable. I felt like it was home from home. I would rate my stay as 5* from start to finish. Without a doubt I will be staying again and would highly recommend The Willows to anyone. I look forward to my next visit which hopefully will be in the not so distant future.

We only used the accommodation as we were too late to eat. So ignore the stars for food. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, good shower. Most importantly for me there were good supplies of tea and milk, not the usual two little containers of milk. Thank you.

Visited for a Christmas Day meal, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was exceptional i had lamb, with great attention to detail in every dish. The service was outstanding—staff were not only efficient but also genuinely happy and welcoming, which created a really warm and festive atmosphere. The entire experience made an already special day even better. Thank you for making Christmas Day so memorable! Highly recommend.

We were a party of 10, and decided to eat here as a family get together after a 7 hour drive, and we were disappointed, as we waited nearly an hour for our food, just for my step dad to receive his starter with his main, another family member received a medium steak instead of medium rare, my steak was chewy, and the mushrooms were lukewarm/cold. My stepdad ordered the Mixed grill, and the egg was rubbery and well overcooked, and the whole meal was cold, and the breaded mushrooms were inedible. He complained to a waitress who was pregnant and she was moody and didn’t help at all, whereas another lady did help but we were not happy still, my stepdad received a refund, and so did the family member. Overall just not happy with wait times, food quality and the attitude towards customers from staff. Won’t be returning.

Our group was given excellent service, the food was prepared by Molly, who came to us informed us this was her first time cooking steaks, all of which came exactly as requested and tasted wonderful. Thank you to Molly!

I had a very disappointing experience at this pub. The pint of Carlsberg I ordered had an odd taste, so I left it virtually untouched. A large number of menu items were unavailable, which meant none of the three meals we ordered were what we actually wanted. I had originally wanted a mixed grill, but it wasn’t available. Strangely, the more expensive “mega mixed grill,” which had the same food items, was available, so I reluctantly settled for that with sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, the fries were overcooked to the point of being nearly burnt, and the well-done steak was so dry and tough it was hard to cut and eat. To top it off, none of the desserts we wanted were available either. While the staff were pleasant, the core purpose of this pub—providing good food and drink—was a complete letdown.

It's a pub with the usual pub food. Staff were great. Would stop there again. Great location for the hospital and very early appointments.

The team managing reception are always so lovely and she remembered me and asked how I was doing. It felt so nice for her to remember mr! The room was clean and lovely. My only dislike was the fact that the double bed (made from two single beds) was very uncomfortable as one of the beds was quite worn and hard and the other wasn’t. It was hard to get comfortable. Otherwise, the room was lovely, good TV, good WiFi single, and good climate control! I have eaten at the restaurant before and love the fact there are gluten-free menu items available as I am coeliac.

Molly our waitress was polite and very friendly. She came over and chatted with us. A real credit to the company. The food was lovely, and just enough . we didn’t have to wait too long for it.and was excellent value for money. The pub was warm and seasonally decorated ( we went in December). There was plenty of room to move around the tables and you didn’t feel crowded. The young ladies on the reception ( in the pub) were polite. And welcoming. Everything was explained to us as this was our first time staying at the Willows

Friendly welcome great food drink and rooms clean and comfy.

We visited the Willows Family of 3 on Friday tea time, very prompt service, they took our drinks order straight away and food was lovely, nice and hot. Our servers Toni and Steph were polite, welcoming and very helpful. Will definitely visit again. 😊

My partner was sent home from work yesterday after suffering food poisoning from the place. I’m surprised she went in at all but it was with work. I haven’t been in since eat out to help out. They made me, my two daughters, and their two cousins wait two hours for food. It became clear that they had no interest in serving us. There was absolutely no resistance from management when I asked for our money back. Then I realised: I’d paid on card. I was refunded in cash. Not bad at all for the company when the government is paying 50% of a meal which wasn’t even prepared. No wonder they had no interest in serving us! After my partner’s experience, maybe it was a blessing that we never ate there.

The willows hosted a funeral for a family member ,, under the circumstances we had a lovely time at the willows and was well looked after by Laura, Molly and Milly,, also the manager James was very helpful with the day , food was fabulous xx

Absolutely avoid this place staff attitude is shocking, My 25 year old son ordered his food and a non alcoholic drink and got asked for ID . The attitude was shocking. After the Manger came over , who was very polite, we explained that it wasn’t the fact the the company policy was not to serve even non Alcoholic beverages with out ID , it was the fact that the member of staff attitude was awful and the way the way she talked to me was like a kid not a 49 year old. The member of staff seriously needs to learn people skills and also learn that smoking on the premises even outside whilst wearing the same clothes is a health and safety issue. Manger great staff need training. Good job we weren’t working for then Burnley express food critics .

We stayed here for the weekend visiting friends and celebrating my son’s 5th birthday. We went in for breakfast and the front of house girls (Carmen and Laura) could not do enough for us. Our son mentioned that it was his birthday and Carmen bought his pancakes out with strawberry sauce and chopped his strawberries up in square pieces to mimic Minecraft blocks. Fantastic service and we will definitely be returning the next time to visit.

Absolutely fantastic spot for a get together with friends, we decided on breakfast this time and it was one of the best breakfasts I’ve eaten in a long time! It was quite busy for a Thursday morning but the lady that was working was great!

Tried out the Willows this afternoon (08/11) and paid £19 for a pizza and Pepsi which I thought was extortionate in the first place for a pub. The pizza was absolutely revolting. Came freezing cold, the cheese was burnt on to the pizza. This was surprising given that they specialise in “pizza and grill”. I managed to eat 1 slice and left the rest. Service wasn’t much better. Waitress sighed when asked if they had any straws. Nobody asked if the food was okay. Most definitely won’t return. Will go to Wetherspoons next time

Overall OK experience given the situation and the quick decision to go out for a bite. The menu is quite expensive regarding value for money especially the fizzy drinks. It didn't work for us to order online either

Ignored at the bar for some reason whilst people who arrived at the bar after me not just one person but three were served before I was ... there was nobody at the bar when I arrived.!! when I was eventually served the young lady who took my food order entered the wrong food item into the till, I politely corrected her to be tutted at and given a dirty look! the second time I went to the bar I was made to wait whilst the bar staff prioritised filming a video on their mobile phome over serving me. I'm not sure why I was made to feel invisible and quite uncomfortable, maybe they didn't like the look of me but whatever the reason, I found them to be rude and unwelcoming and it's not something I've experienced before, very disappointing!

Me and family came for evening burgers. Burgers are amazing, friendly staff making a great atmosphere

Food was very tasty and the staff were very friendly, they ran out of custard which I was gutted about. They then went out of their way to go get some more and personally come and tell me that they had.

Unfortunately my visit to The Willows was rather pathetic. The food we did get was nowhere near worth the price. The mains took over an hour so we left. Wouldn't recommend and tbh I was warned by friends not to go here too

Worst Sunday roast I've ever had it smelt like rat and tasted like cat. The girl serving was none stop telling me about her videos of her pooping just a bad experience

Went here for breakfast on 27/10/2024, the service was impeccable , the young lady could not do enough , very polite and didn’t stop working all the time we was there, I can’t quite remember her name but she’s a credit to the company. Come here quite regularly and always enjoy. The odd time I’ve had something added to my plate I didn’t like, but it was resolved immediately, no problem whatsoever. Food is always fresh and hot and we never wait long for our food to arrive. I was served today by Molly and she was really polite and helpful. Definitely recommend.

laura is fabulaous,amazing service,kind words i will definitely be coming back to the willows!

The food was below par. I went to use the toilet, there were three cubicles, one had no door, one had no lock and the other one was dirty.

Both hotel and restaurant were outstanding. Staff couldn't do enough and very polite and helpful would 100% come back!

We visited The Willows this morning as a treat for a colleague to celebrate there birthday and to say we were disappointed with the whole experience would be an understatement! The restaurant was so cold we had to keep our coats on, the coffee machine was broken, the water for the instant coffee & tea was cold, there was clattering, banging and angry shouting coming from the kitchen and the food that came to the table was luke warm but soon went cold because of the freezing temperature in the room. The lady running the breakfast service was moaning about the company saying that they were so cheap and never wanted to replace anything and she had been waiting months for them to fix the heating. All in all it was a pretty dire experience. "Happy Birthday to my colleague!" 🤬

Just returned from a one night stay, absolutely brilliant service 👏 the staff were so attentive and found time for a chat, being a license myself the Wainwright's bitter which my husband drinks was in top form , breakfast was lovely this morning again staff were lovely and a real credit to your pub, if in the area again would not hesitate to return Thankyou .
