Love this place, hence why we are in most weekends. Great selection of real ales and always something new for us to try. Brilliant atmosphere for watching the footy, and it's so easy reserving a particular table to watch it. Saying that, there are so many tv's you never have a problem being able to see one of them, and the lovely staff will even split the screens if there is more than one game on. Big shout out to Kristina and Jenna who always go above and beyond, but all the staff are fab 👌

Ordered food from here as they propose to to do Korean takeaway (Mandu Guys). If you’re thinking of ordering from Mandu’s the new Korean place then don’t bother (pretty sure it’s a dark kitchen anyway). My partner got a chicken rice bowl, stale and cold (£10!) and these were meant to be Korean loaded fries, they were literally cheesy chips (I’m not a 19 year old girl after all night out at Levels).

Great place. Team very friendly and the food came to the table nice and hot and was delicious. Would recommend to anyone

I went to watch the football with my son. We had amazing table service from Jenna, cask ale was on point (j2o for the kid!) and food was brill

Popped in for something to eat before a show. I'd looked at the menu online but to be honest I wasn't expecting anything good. We booked a table and the bar girl was really friendly and polite. We ordered a couple of burgers and it was pretty tasty. The burgers came with a free drink as long as it's a soft drink and you pay a £1 for a beer or £1.50 for a decent beer. Still not a bad deal. Pudding was okay, but it was honeycomb cheesecake and I couldn't taste much honeycomb to be honest. All in all not bad and I would go back.

Coming over from Ramsbottom specific for Rovers games, The Bridgewater is my favourite place to go post games and watch on TV for away games. Particularly impressed with Jenna with table service for the last 2 visits

Got to say since moving to Darwen the Bridgwater is my favourite establishment to have a drink. Great drinks, atmosphere and wonderful staff, special mention to Jenna and Sophie who deliver exceptional service every time.

We ordered food from the Bridgewater via just eat. The order was placed with Mandu Guys which is predominantly Korean food. The food, service (delivery) and quality overall was outstanding. The food itself was incredible. Darwen hasn’t offered Korean food before now and this place didn’t disappoint. We got a variety of dumplings, 2 different types of chicken with sticky rice and kimchi. The food was on time (prebooked 2 hours before), piping hot and tasted outstanding! The rice was awesome and the dumplings were my personal favourite. If you fancy something other than the usual that Darwen has to offer, I cannot recommend Mandu Guys out of the Bridgewater enough.

Come here weekly as it’s the best venue in Darwen in my opinion. When I come in Kayleigh always makes sure to go the extra mile to make sure me and all the other guests are welcome while also making sure the tables are all clean ready for the next customer! Would highly recommend this place.

In my experience it's barely good. I turned up on a Sunday night. I have no idea why they need Asian bounsers, but I'm my humble we need a mix of bouncers in terms of race. I've no idea why they all appear to be ethics ethnic in the past few years.

What can I say beer was okay, but no dark ones available. Had the 3 dishes for £12.99. I had chicken wings with Bombay sauce, no complaints. My wife had Chilli beef doritos with salsa, and jalapeños. Good for me I love Jalapeños. The beef chilli was lacking in quantity, temprature and spice. There was more salsa than chilli and it was spicer. Disappointed and my wife told the lady waitress so. The 3rd dish was prawns fried in batter served on a bed of wilted turning brown lettuce. This came with a spicy mayo dip, really. It is debatable if the prawns were even prawns. It looks like we will stick to "Spoons" in future.

Every time we come here the atmosphere food price and the quality is spot one perfect goto place 5 stars across the board try it once at least I did and keep coming back as the service is 100%

First time having food at Bridgewater food was excellent also ordered drinks one being a latte served by Jordan was really impressed by the way he made it even warming the cup it came in, stayed warm until I'd eaten my meal. Jordan your a star

The food is disgusting the burgers are nasty and the old chaple is way better than this place: I won't be coming again and it's dirty too

We booked for something to eat as we were visiting the area. This is basically a massive sports bar/nightspot by the looks of it, with dj booth etc. We were put on a small (for the 6 of us) table at the back of this huge sports pub, with the manager saying he had so many tables booked, though we didn't see many people eating. The first thing we noticed was the floor that our feet were sticking too. Also the sticky menus. Our food came about 45 minutes later, which considering it's basic Wetherspoons fayre is a long wait. Then it came in parts.. The last meal delivered about 15 minutes after the first. The bacon on my chicken burger was a fatty grey colour, very weird.

Ebony and jess were lovely and helpful. Service is great and lovely atmosphere weather for a hot brew or cold pint.

Went to the Bridgewater to watch The rugby, we had a table, met some friends and had a great time.

Popped in for a bite to eat, enjoyed a fish wrap it was tasty. Good price, served quickly by a friendly waitress Jenna, she was welcoming and smiling, good customer service. It is a pub with a lot of tv’s showing the footie so if you want to sit and chat it’s not going to happen!

Discrimination from door men I had a bad experience tonight I was trying to be polite all night and ye your door staff proceeedes to be discriminatory towards me allowing others in but not me when I was sober and only asking to go ask the staff if they had my bank card, during this someone tried to come out of the building so to be polite i held the door in which, 1 door man proceeded to push me almost down the stairs, if I hadn’t caught myself then the other threatened and I quote “ ill spark you out mate” I have video evidence of them both with me asking for their identification, as I have done the sia qualification I know they violated most of the things it teaches such as do not escalate a situation, which as I stated was threatened and pushed towards a staircase on which I could of fallen down and cracked the back of my head and also refusing to give their identification when asked and turning their badges so they can’t be identified yet I have video of both door men which caused this commotion and also assaulted me so I’d like to know names and badge numbers and have them stripped of position as they clearly can’t deal well with people plus they lied about the third doorman which had been on
