Bartender was rude and had a bad attitude. Left before ordering due to his tone towards my 4 year old child. In response he said, “I don’t have time for feelings”.

Good food. I would have given them a 5 but service was slow when ee arrived. They might have been changing servers

Never thought I would write a bad review on this place but it happened. Went in for Valentines Day lunch and the noticed the menu has changed. They hardly have any food options anymore and what they do have the sides are all pretty much the same. When we received our food it was cold. BUT our waiter and the manager were wonderful to bring us a different plate. As the good was warm, the meat was extremely dry and drowning in gravy. The red cabbage was so tart your face turns when you take a bite. But still a great atmosphere and beer selection!

Definitely come for a meal. Amazing food and staff! We will be back

Do you love German food? Then get in your car and drive fast to Hollerbach’s in Sanford. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. I can’t wait to go back.

A fun, friendly, lively and authentic German restaurant. My favorite place to eat and make merry when I'm in Sanford, Florida. Try to make it when they have live music on, but still recommended highly even with they don't.

Great place. Expensive like all places but that's a sign of the times. Worth it.

The food was top-notch. Live singer and musicians playing traditional German music gave the night a great atmosphere as well. It's definitely worth giving it a shot. I'm glad it was recommended to me.

Service at the bar was very slow with the woman server. The fellow handled all the tables in the back and most of the bar. Our server ignored us. The goulash was meh. More potatoes than tough meat. The pork schnitzel wAs 50 50. One piece was the best I ever had. The second piece was the more usual tough and dry. Very disappointed after looking forward to it for years.

I lived in Germany for 8 years and I can tell you the German Potato Salad was straight out of a can! It was very mushy. The schnitzel was not pounded thin and the breading was not what is used in Germany. House salad was good. Cucumber salad would have been much better without all the dressing-it was saturated and just too much! Atmosphere is great but food is not authentic.

I go here several times a year. Depending on the day you have a descent wait but find after 8:00PM you should be good. The atmosphere is fun and everyone is super happy and the servers are always there if you need anything and always love to give recommendations. The food is top tier and always have a tough time choosing what I want. It's a bit more expensive but you leave here full.

My favorite go to place whether or not celebrating a birthday, Okroberfest or entertaining folks from out ot town looking for a true atmosphere based restaurant with great selection of beverages, tasty German food or world renown entertainment. Two thumbs up and Five Stars for the Hollerbach Family and Friendly Staff. As they say "it's Wunderbar!"

Skip the potato pancakes. They should be embarrassed to serve those soggy things. The schnitzels, otoh, are heavenly.

I've been before and liked it but today? absolute waste of my time. The cider was a weird in between flavor and couldn't commit to it. The heaven and earth potatoes are overly sweet and awful and the saurkraut is by far the worst thing I've ever had. I didn't even want to swallow it. The Weiss wurst... was fine. truly not a thing to write home about and we even did das boot (very cool experience I admit). The appetizers (potato pancakes and a pretzel) also did not impress. Absolutely mediocre at best, and I'm being nice. All in all, don't bother. The market is a bore too. And if all that isn't bad enough they have live music near constantly to round out a bad experience as worse.

This place has amazing German food and the atmosphere is outstanding. Make sure this one is on your list!!

The food was absolutely amazing. Heinz was beyond friendly and accommodating. I could not have been more pleased.

We moved to Morriston, Florida, 20 minutes west of Ocala, and it less often we get there. But they never let us down! Our favorite restaurant on the entire planet! Do not miss this place! Have the big pretzel board with cheesees and meats!

Large, authentic German restaurant in Sanford, Florida. Popular place, especially on live music nights. I had the three-sausage platter. Sausages were good. Red cabbage was strong but I enjoyed it. Overall, worth a visit, especially if you are entertaining guests.

Sorry to said food was horrible server was unpleasant the other server that bring the food to the table just slamb the food in the table I don't know if is a costum to just slamb the food as hard as you can in the table is a culture or a thing but that was my experience also the food was cold and it looks like it was just setting in the heat lamp waiting for someone to pick it up .Very disappointed about the hold experience my husband love German food but these was horrible total experience I wish I could do minus 5 star

While visiting the area, Hollerbach's caught our eye. The outside area was so festive! Inside was beautiful as well! The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Hubby and I shared the sausage and sauerkraut. Both were very delicious! We also loved the red cabbage.

Really great experience! Food: really delicious and savory! I went for dinner and it was very packed. Don’t worry though!! Because everything came out hot and speedy. Lots of beers to choose from. Service: really sweet server. She made sure all of our order came out efficiently and with care. Atmosphere: it was a lovely place! We got to hear lots of live German music. The crowd was dancing at moments and lifting their glasses.

Hollerbachs is an experience. Authentic and delicious food. I highly recommend the jager schnitzel. Great drinks, my friends and I drank a boot and the restaurant was cheering. Live music is awesome as well. Recommend reserving a table in advance!

My family booked to have my grandmother's 90th birthday at the restaurant months in advanced. We have just been told that they are cancelling our reservation because they double booked us with an "internal event". . Invitations have been sent, people have rsvp'ed and have even made travel arrangements. Very disappointed by their customer service.

Everyone was very nice and relaxed. Food was great deserts were even better. Definitely worh our 1 hour drive each way. Going back for his birthday

Great place for German food with many German beers on tap.

My mom and aunt made reservations for my grandmother’s 90th birthday. Invitations went out and dozens of people were planning on going to the party. The restaurant emailed and cancelled the reservation due to an “internal conflict”. We know there was no “internal conflict” but rather scummy people running the restaurant. The restaurant said they could move the reservation to 7pm. It’s a 90 year olds birthday party, 7pm isn’t going to work. You should move your “internal conflict” to 7pm. Shame on you. I grew up in Sanford and have never been to this place. After this, I don’t plan on ever going.

Hidden gem! I’m in town for work and heard from 4 different people I had to eat here. They were not wrong. The food was unique and incredible. Service was fast and friendly. I would go out of my way to eat here again. Great job!!

Went with 7 family members and had a great time, our server was so knowledgeable about the origins of the restaurant and the food. Everyone got a different dish and shared a bite with everyone. Several had different beers that were hits. The children had house made root beer and peach iced tea. After dinner we walked their shop around the corner where we picked up various desserts and German candies. Fun time in historic Sanford, Fl.

We recently hosted our son's rehearsal dinner and were absolutely thrilled with the experience! The venue was perfect for our large group, the food was outstanding. We definitely had a great time - the room decor and style was fantastic, the food was amazing and the service was great. Our guests raved about the environment and delicious food, and how special the evening felt; we couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate this momentous occasion. To All who worked so hard to make it happen (Chef Pat, Sebastian, Rosanna and Megan), thank you!

I sit here in this caricature of Bavaria, separating from reality into this little bubble of peace, with a soundtrack of alphorns and accordions. Tomorrow life resumes but for tonight, right now, God is in his heaven and all is right with the world.

After reserving with Sebastian, the event manager at Hollerbach’s German Restaurant, we secured with a credit card, a day and time for our mother’s 90th birthday party upstairs in their Biergarten Room. Many weeks later, after invitations were sent and invitees made flight and hotel reservations, Sebastian emailed that Hollerbach’s was cancelling their reservation with us due to an “internally planned event.” Apparently, their commitment to their patrons is not a priority.

The food is good and don’t pass up on the bee sting cake! Get dessert!

Authentic German experience! This restaurant has been a local favorite of Sanford forever because it's just that good! Over the years they've expanded to include a market, a couple of lounges, and retail, and they are all fantastic! Plus the outside location is perfect on a beautiful day! Traditional long hall style tables, staff in authentic clothing, cultural decor and media, and often live music. Last night we saw a table do the shotski!! The time before a table did the boot! It's just so much fun! Prost!

I and a few family members decided to dine here for the first time and overall we enjoyed it. We were placed at a table with another group which wasn't the best because things were somewhat crowded. I ordered the schnitzel, with the red cabbage and potato pancakes and i thought everything was pretty good overall. The potato pancakes were my favorite part of the meal since they were well seasoned and tasted really good. The red cabbage was good but I probably wouldn't order it again because it was a little overwhelming in taste. The schnitzel wasn't bad, it wasn't seasoned however honey mustard was provided so that definitely helped.

I would bet that at least 25% of the patrons that dine there are veterans that more than likely were stationed in 🇩🇪 Germany. I think that Hollerbachs should honor and show their appreciation for those eating there by offering a veteran's discount. That said, I'll still go there.

Food was delicious but it’s definitely overpriced! Their deserts are good. Their servers are not nice, our server was so rude, and I was not even finished with my food when she handed me the check also, she came back 2 seconds later asking for my card, she was rushing me out. It was not pleasant at all. I do not recommend.

Fantastic place to Celebrate early New Year's! ( Germany time) Not crazy about the abbreviated menu on days like this especially because they ran out of chicken. But food is exceptional and best atmosphere of any German restaurant in Central Florida. Fantastic selection of German beer.

It is an authentic German restaurant. There was a queue at their main location, but the adjacent one offers the same menu and operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. The waiter kindly directed me there. I loved how the menu was designed like a newspaper, featuring the history of the food and German traditions. I started with potato pancakes and Cajun. The potato pancakes, served with apple sauce and sour cream, had an interesting twist. Choosing a dessert was tough, but I went with the bee sting cake. Absolutely loved the ambience and the overall vibe! 🇩🇪

The pork 'wings ' were a total disappointment. The texture was nice and crispy but the pork had been over boiled before being fried. Absolutely tasteless. The brat was no different from a store bought one. Bread was highly satisfactory. I'd go back to just order bread and maybe bean soup, nothing else!

If you are looking for German food with a German atmosphere, this is the place. This place is usually busy, mostly crowded and sometimes packed with a waiting line. Today it was just busy and we got a table right away. Our waitress came to the table quickly and got our drink orders. The drinks came quickly. We ordered a Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich, a pork Schnitzel Sandwich, The Reubenstein and 2 of The Famous Willow Tree Chicken Salad Croissants. All came out prepared, cooked and presented nicely. All were tasty and were good portions. After the meal we ordered a Coconut Raspberry Cake as a birthday treat and they included a candle. The bill did not suggest any tip so you calculate a tip however you want. (Which is how it should be done). There was entertainment this afternoon as well, a small German duo (Gemütlichkeit mit Nick und Eckhard) singing typical German festive songs and of course ending with Zicke Zacke Hoi Hoi Hoi.
