For a cafe in the middle of a park for children, the fact there were no high chairs offered to us was really poor. My little girl was getting grizzly because she couldn't sit and look around. I struggled to eat with her on my lap which again being in a park near children's play areas I would expect high chairs to be offered. Food very very overpriced for what it is, you'll drive people away with your prices. Not impressed wouldn't go back.

We used to use the cafe regularly years ago when the previous owners had it, this was our first time since the owners have changed. The decor has really gone downhill, it's clean but it's nowhere near as cosy as it used to be. It had a real coffee shop feel before. We could also hear the full conversation from the kitchen area from our seats. We ordered coffees and bacon rolls. I have to say the initial service was abrupt and rude. The youngish woman behind the counter was impatient and haughty. The staff bringing food out were not friendly either and the food took quite a while considering there were only two other tables occupied. The bacon rolls weren't very nice; greasy with burnt black residue, in really cheap white rolls. They reminded us of the bacon rolls you get at roadside burger stands. I don't like leaving bad reviews but the quality of food is so different to what it was. Such a shame as we have started taking our children to the park again and used to look forward to visiting the cafe.

Visited Willow cafe 5th march for 1pm for Sunday lunch. We had the roast beef.Waitress was very polite. Our order came out & looked appertizing. But went to cut into the beef & it was sooo tough the knife wouldn't go through it.It was like trying to cut through leather.Roast potatoes probably been sitting for ages & a funny texture to them cabbage & broccoli weren't cooked properly & still quite raw.We were so disappointed as the reviews we read were good.We wouldn't recommend it at all.Think it was the worst Sunday lunch I've had.

We visited this establishment last weekend and unfortunately it was a fairly grim experience. We fancied a two course meal and ordered soups to start, which then arrived at the same time as our main courses!! When we enquired as to why all the food had come out at once, the waitress mentioned that: ‘the food was ready’. There wasn’t even room on the table for it all. We then asked that the main courses be kept warm whilst having the soup starter. However these main courses, when served, were virtually inedible - either cold, or completely over done. Given that we were spending a fair amount of money for this meal, far more thought should have gone into the service. (The soup was satisfactory - hence the one star rating).

The Willow cafe is in the centre of Central Park and is the perfect place to go for a drink and a snack whilst visiting the park. The staff were very friendly and the service was prompt. If the weather is good I would recommend enjoying your purchases outside as there is a lovely view of the huge weeping willow tree. (hence the name of the cafe)

Been a couple of times in the last few weeks, one for a 60th party and a Saturday afternoon listening to to a band. Fabulous sunny garden, fast bar service and very friendly staff. Have heard that your Sunday Roasts are lovely. The party buffet food was very fresh.

Weekend breakfast with the family, including 3 small children. The Full-English was the best I’ve had in a long time anywhere… top quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. Expensive at £10 for the large, but as long as they don’t compromise on quality, worth every penny! The kids had scrambled egg on toast and we were all made to feel very welcome with excellent, friendly service. 5⭐️

I enjoyed my breakfast . However their idea of toast butter and marmalade slightly differs from mine . Am I wrong in expecting two slices of sliced bread toasted on both sides ? if so I apologise . Their idea is a HUGE lump of crusty white loaf slightly toasted on one side ! Perhaps the toaster was broken ? Paul Taylor

There may be Molton Brown products in the toilets, and there may be quality napkins on the table but I have never been to a cafe that thinks it is acceptable to serve half a slice of bacon. Just under £8 for 1 egg, 1 mushroom, 1 sausage, 1 raw tomato with a roasted skin, 1 bit of half toasted bread and half a slice of bacon, I did request no beans on my breakfast but nothing else was provided in place of these. For £2 more my husband had the full English, this paid for an extra sausage, a full slice of bacon, another egg and a piece of black pudding. We would have perhaps been better off ordering a full English and sharing. The bacon had thick rinds which were very chewy, the sausages were acceptable but were under seasoned and contained more gristle than we were expecting. Snotty eggs ( white still translucent in areas) This doesn't scream out quality or value. Perhaps the owners should sit and eat the food they serve and decide for themselves if the quality is acceptable for the price that they charge and perhaps ask themselves if they would be happy paying had they been served it in another cafe.

This was my first visit to the Willow in Central Park in Peterborough. I and my friends enjoyed a delicious Christmas meal and we will certainly be returning in the new year. The room in which we ate is spacious and airy and I understand there is another function room. I am also told that the cafe at the front is a long standing and well loved place for Peterborough residents to meet and eat.

Never ever go to this Costa, it is beyond appalling; it is so disgusting, I'm struggling to put into words, my experience today. My husband and I popped along with my wheelchair-bound 91-year-old mother, for a little light lunch. We arrived at around 1:30 pm on Sunday 23rd of March 2025, to find the place surprisingly quiet. Given that it was a Sunday lunchtime, I would have expected the place to be alive with families and couples. We had in fact tried to find a table at the Lutterworth Costa, but it was so full, with no sitting room, we came along to this branch, hoping they would be able to squeeze us in. There were 3 members of staff on duty (2 young ladies and a young man), and only about 6 or 7 occupied tables, including us. We ordered 3 drinks and 2 toasted sandwiches and a toasted croissant. The food came quickly enough and was pleasant. After my mother had eaten half of her sandwich, she indicated she needed to go to the lavatory, and as she is in a wheelchair, I have to help her out with these things. We got up, and as I was heading towards the lavatories, the young man on duty, jumped ahead of us and said sheepishly, "I just need to check if they are clean". As it was so quiet, and there were 3 members of staff on duty, I was a bit surprised that this needed checking on first, but I just assumed he was being super-diligent. He turned back to us looking embarrassed, and I said "is it dirty?", to which he responded "yes" and then "lucky me". He walked to a nearby cupboard, collected a dustpan and brush, went ahead of us again, spent literally 10 seconds sweeping something from the floor, and then moved back to allow us to access. I pushed my mother's wheelchair in to, what can only be described as, the most disgusting public lavatory I've seen, in my 60 years of living. It sounds like it must be exaggerating doesn't it (so dramatic!) - but not only were the scraps of paper all over the floor, so much worse than that, there was urine everywhere. I don't just mean a little drop or two on the seat where somebody had not been careful, I mean the floor was literally swimming in urine, the toilet seat was covered in urine, the lavatory bowl had urine in it with no toilet paper, it was quite literally, like somebody had embarked on a highly successful 'dirty protest'. Now, as if this was not enough, the fact that this young man had seen the appalling mess, he clearly must've known what it was like, which is why he jumped ahead of me to "check", but then to think that it was acceptable for me to not only to walk into that disgusting room, but allow my 91-year-old disabled mother to sit on a toilet seat covered in urine, almost left me speechless with outrage. How dare you treat your paying customers with such disrespect, moreover, how dare you treat any other human being with such disrespect? It is unforgivable. There is no world in which I would allow anybody to be subjected to such a monstrous, nauseating experience, and the management at this specific Costa, should be either, immediately dismissed, or sent away on a course, to teach them the fundamental rights of human beings, and particularly how that relates in a hospitality setting. Surely, it is simple? Would you sit on a toilet covered in urine, while your feet sat in puddles of urine? Would you allow your 91-year-old disabled mother, or grandmother, to sit her behind on a urine covered toilet seat, while the wheels of her wheelchair wallowed in urine? You were not busy. When you opened up that morning, either, nobody bothered to look at the lavatories (not acceptable), or worse, looked at the lavatories, and could not be bothered to do anything about them (disgraceful). I would like to be charitable and think you just hadn't been aware of it, but you absolutely had, and had CHOSEN not to remedy this... otherwise, why did the young man jump in front of me, to ostensibly "check" the lavatories? We could not even use an alternative lavatory, because the only other available facilities had a huge hole in the door, and you could see right through to the toilet itself; making it "out of use". How can you think this is acceptable? I will be telling everybody I know, to avoid this abysmal excuse for a Costa, like the plague - lest they literally, catch some ungodly disease. Not only that, but why should ANYBODY come to visit you, when you, clearly, care nothing for your customers comfort, dignity and well-being? I don't imagine anything will be done about this, because your management cares nothing for the appalling experiences you subject your customers to; looking through your reviews, the disgusting state of your lavatories has been mentioned more than once, so you clearly read our comments and cheerfully ignore them; nobody takes it seriously, nobody remedies it, and there is nobody in 'management' who understands or cares one iota, about your guests' comfort. So I say again, why would anybody visit you, when there are so many other Costas, that do a great job? Rugby has a few Costas if I recall correctly, doesn't it? This place should be closed down, and the staff should find jobs elsewhere, not in hospitality! This is not a complex subject, even in the grottiest motorway service station, there's a piece of A4 paper stuck to the wall with times and 'checked' signatures... this is not beyond the wit of anybody with an IQ >50, so why can't you do this, bare minimum? I will not leave it here, I will contact your CEO and upper management, somebody needs to address this, otherwise you will absolutely have close, because customers are simply not going accept these abysmal standards, ad infinitum. Shame on you all, what an utterly disgraceful job you're doing. Next time you go and see a loved one, particularly a frail, elderly one, ask yourself if you would be perfectly happy for them to have to sit in somebody else's urine.

The little beer shed has changed hands and is now a mini bakery outlet selling some quite good bread, coffee and baked snacks. I hope that Ales and Tails mobile operation is still out and about.

Ordered Roast Beef dinner couldn’t even cut it let alone chew it, Roast potatoes were frozen in the middle and veg/Yorkshire pudding was cold. Beef was then changed for chicken which came out covered in black grease with same cold veg. Full refund was given for uneaten meal. Will not be returning!
