Went in on a Saturday, and there was about 10 people in there!!!

Great place to go staff are friendly and the service is brilliant and quick definitely be back time and time again

Newly refurbished well worth a visit.

Ok, the toilets have been smartened up, there's been a lick of paint and some seating. However, there seemed no atmosphere. The staff were lovely btw. All the old signs from the wall had gone too. It just seemed a bit flat in there. I'll give it another go, but it's a shame.

I would of enjoyed the free buffet for 10 people or more. With $5 per head deposit xxx

First time in here for a good few years. The pub was empty, apart from the gentleman who was serving behind the bar. It wasn't very welcoming, smelt of damp a little as well.

Spirits are not as strong as other bars. Really not impressed. Other than that to sober up it's good and music is a standard crown job

Mix of all ages. Karaoke night. Everyone having fun.

Fun party place at the weekends chilled vibe in the week. Poker Wednesdays and Sundays

John McGuire was very welcoming and offered me a free drink. He is always smiling and polite and greets every customer with great enthusiasm. Lol jk!

Nice hot food, and nice atmosphere.

Nice staff and I liked the pub but there is not a great choice on the pumps .....especially if you like cider. They have a choice of two ciders and neither are very good. I don't know about the pub but the menu looked fine

Ploughmans for lunch the tomato wasn't fresh the bread seemed to have been warmed which made crust very hard . Pleasant back ground music untill barman decided to put news on tv very loud stopped our conversation over lunch also had to pay lunch and drinks seperatly cash only .won't go again

Popped in for a snack and drink as it looked like a lovely inviting place. It was! Nice and chilled atmosphere with the older generation there, which we prefer. Great service and food. Loved it!

Went for home cooked food in the crown. Delicious food, great staff. Would highly recommend! 11/10

A horrible landlord. My daughter was there with her friends on Saturday night when the landlord accused her of being 17 even though she had her driving licence that proved she is 20. He was very aggressive and intimidating, my daughter is very petite and found the whole experience quite humiliating. If anyone knows if the pub is owned by a brewery I would be interested in making a formal complaint

Friendly people & great atmosphere

Traditional pub, aesthetically a bit old school, but don't let that put you off! Staff were super friendly and such a good value lunch. Gammon and egg was spot on!! Menu has ploughman's, pies, scampi, chilli con carne, all day breakfast, snacks, baguettes, that kind of thing.

The place hasn't changed in 40years and it shows.

Yuk yuk yuk. Wipe ur feet on the way out. Smells like a place for down n outs. Chip fat n dirty bodies. The staff look like they could all do with a good bath!!

Old style pub with old couples and high prices, stayed for 1 drink then moved on, back to whetherspoons for reasonable prices and better atmosphere.

Good traditional boozer with decent honest menu. A good place for lunch, friendly and good value.

Came here and prices are cheap. Loads for your money. Ordered bacon batch £1.80. Sausage egg and chips Was £4.95. service was quick. We didn't expect all the added extras but well worth the money. Everyone who ordered food was surprised how big the food plates was too the prices. Added on salad onion rings and coleslaw to sausage egg and chips. Sausages we was expecting 1. Not 3. Great place, great food.

Both times ive been for drinks with friends..Landlord JMcguire..dismissive,ignorrant,rude to most people, staff miserable..Landlord seamed angry most of the night..This is not a personnal attack..people were saying "dont know why we come here" Black Swan ( Dirty Duck ) just round the corner, great staff, friendly and have a laugh.Where pubs are struggling you would think that he would change his attitude.

Good busy little pub in the town centre, the drinks were reasonable and the atmosphere was great for a Saturday night out. Little did I know that it was Karaoke night and oh do I hate Karaoke. But if you like a bit of the old singing, then you will love this place. Good priced beer, good service.

Easy to find in main street. Quaint Pub with notice board outside with food specials on. Good menu. Well priced like scampi , salad and chips for 5.95. Jacket spuds ...huge with extras at 50 p..try cheese and coleslaw.

We visit The Crown every other week with my mum who is in a nursing home, she always enjoys the food, and loves the lasagne and eats everything on her plate. My son Harry loves all your food, but his favourite is the "Wonderful Cottage Pie". I have to admit after coming to your wonderful pub over the last 12 months. I have never had a bad meal. I love your salmon and also your steak pie, it is absolutely mouth watering. My mum has dementia so when I bring her back you always look after her with respect and remember what she loves most your famous lasagne, she loves that dish the most. Thanks for looking us so well, you have been so kind to my mother and I. Kind regards JB50W

Lovely building and decor, shame about the mediocre food and "couldn't care less attitude of the staff. Definitely needs someone to rectify these areas as it could be a good place to dine.

found the Crown after wandering around the centre of rugby for what seemed like hours, trying to find somewhere to eat. despite ordering after 2pm, (cut off time for food) the landlord agreed to feed us. i selected the crown grill, (not for the small eater) and wife had the chicken and mushroom pie. i wouldnt say that this was the best pub meal i had ever had, but it was in the top one! heartily recommend the food here, and would definitely go back if we were ever in Rugby again.
