Was In Yesterday With my Mam For Sunday Dinner.. The Dinners Were Spot on & Lovely Lovely Staff & Good Service

This was by far one of the best Sunday Lunches I've ever had out, great selection, perfectly cooked, nice presentation, all on a hot plate. Will definitely be back again, and again, and again!

Oh dear what’s happened to The George Bilton. Refused to serve food at 7.30 on a Friday evening saying that they were to busy yet 30 mins later were taking orders from the pub side, not the restaurant. I am deeply disappointed. This is the second time we have been here in two months and had the same thing happen. No worries though, won’t both even trying to eat here again.

Have driven past this place a few times but finally stopped today. Traditional style pub with some outside seating offering good food and a variety of drinks. The mixed grill was excellent and my wife enjoyed her rump steak. Friendly and helpful service too! Glad we stopped and will return for sure.

Very disappointed with our food today. Very chewey and fatty steak, very dried fish and chips.told waiter but fell on deaf ears. . Totally over priced..this a place to avoid

Was quite busy with some atmosphere but struggled to park as it has a very small car park. Food was very average but ok. Was more expensive than the Bear which I thought had slightly better food.

Lovely pub for a summer evening. Sat outside after a cycle ride and enjoyed a lovely cold beer! Recommended! 👍

We often pop to the George for lunch when visiting my daughter who lives nearby. The landlord is a friendly chap and the food is good and reasonably priced. Recommended.

A lovely little pub for Sunday dinner, lovely atmosphere and decor. Just been for Fathers Day and my hubby felt absolutely spoilt. The roast dinner is the absolute best around!! So big, and comes with everything…including unlimited roasties and yorkies!!!! Our waitress Leah was lovely and helpful and the lady I believe to be the owner gave brilliant service and was really kind to our 3 kids. Highly recommend and we will 100% be back!!!!

Having moved to Bilton recently, The George is now my local. First time dining there and I am very impressed. The service was fast and friendly, the food was delicious and generously portioned and the children's menu was genuinely good value. The only let down was that they ran out of chunky chips, but otherwise a fantastic and cosy dining experience.

A nice traditional pub with very friendly staff and good beer, unfortunately the food is very disappointing and more like frozen ready meals microwaved to order, such a shame.

I have been here many times with friends and family, today came with my Gran and family friend, again I can’t fault anyone or anything here, this place is just outstanding, there isn’t anything to complain about, absolutely love this place, I can’t find the words to say anything else other than I’ll be back again.

I was there for the R2W club night. The food was absolutely incredible; the owner and the waiters were all really nice and always smiling; the beer selection was really really good, too. It has become one of my favourite pubs in Rugby

Had a great evening at The George at a party for our cycling club. Staff really friendly and helpful, quick to get served at the bar even though there were about 60 of us, plus the locals. The food was great. Would thoroughly recommend.

1/24 Visited with friends (Friday evening) for first time in a while. Great atmosphere and really good service though slightly disappointed with the food. I had fish and chips but the fish was a bit on the small side and a tad overdone. My friends enjoyed their mains though. Will certainly visit again and try something else.

I've only drank there but the service and the selection of drinks was fantastic and there was a nice friendly atmosphere

I had the £5 meal deal today. Chicken tikka rice, nann, and popperdom. Delicious and great value. Together with a lovely friend and served by a great waitress. X

I've been going to the George for a while, and always find the staff friendly and the atmosphere good. They've always done a great lunch menu, with mains being £6.50, but they have now put this up to £8.50, bit of a jump. When I went yesterday (3rd Jan) they were doing an amazing specials menu, Mon-Thurs, from 2nd - end of January, choice of 5 pub classic mains for only £5, but when we went to order, they had sold out of the tikka masala, and the fish and chips! "Sorry, we've been very busy" But it was only the 2nd day of the offer, and had sold out of 2 of the 5 meals, ridiculous!

Nice atmosphere, open fire, good choice of ales. Menu caters for most tastes. Outdoor seating. Friendly staff.

Lovely Lunchtime date with my Husband before Christmas. Delicious starters of smoked salmon and breaded prawns. Then I had the buttermilk chicken burger special which was so good, really delicious flavours together and Mark had the special Christmas burger. Definitely a rare treat Lunchtime out and really great food, atmosphere and lovely Staff 10/10.

Delicious Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Service was a bit slow at times as our drinks sat at the bar for a while before being served... But it was a busy Sunday and the food and puddings were still delicious 👌🏼

We enjoy a very tasty festive meal last night, the atmosphere was great and our waitress Ellen was very attentive and ensured we had a lovely evening. I would highly recommend to friends and family 🎅

Food was excellent as always. Very disappointed with the change of menu. Basically taking all the good starters off the set menu and replacing them with vegan options or underwhelming selections. As there are only 4 choices this pushes people to the more expensive set menu

We were looking for a pub for date night and this pub popped up on Google, and we're glad it did! The service was very good, good atmosphere and clean restaurant! I had the pesto linguini and my partner the pork belly burger; the burger was very good, and the pasta was unfortunately missing the mushrooms and was a bit dry, we informed the staff of this and they glady remade it and kindly took it off the bill, the second plate of pasta was much better with plenty of mushrooms. Also, the prices were amazing, so cheap for these days, for example my partner got a rum and coke for 1£ because he had ordered a burger. Definitely recommend this place!

Visited today for the first time, the bar was busy and we were served by a young girl (who appeared to be on her own) efficiently and with a smile. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive during our meal, making the whole experience enjoyable. We will be back!

Myself and my mother visited today for a lite lunch .we was both very impressed on the outstanding services given to us by bec's and the chief ...the only 2 members who was working at the time due to staff sickness . Although it was busy they delt with it incredibly and to be honest we wouldn't of known that they was under staffed if we had not over heard a conversation with another customer. Full credit to you both . The food and service was outstanding

Unfortunately, every time myself and friends go to The George, they have never got the full menu available. We go once a month so are regulars. It has got to the stage where we want to change our monthly meeting venue because it happens all to often. I assume that they cannot get their orders right as all the food is bought in, so they need to up their game if they want to keep regular customers. Furthermore, one of our party had Sausage and mash and they have changed their sausages to a cheaper brand - awful! Bring back the other sausages please!!

Lovely Sunday Roast, very friendly and helpful staff very reasonably priced. Update 6 of us went today (Friday) for lunch we all ordered from the lunch menu the most expensive meal was £7.50 all 6 meals were very good and definitely good value for money and service was superb.

A little gem in Bilton Village, tasty food, great staff, good variety of drinks. Karen is always friendly and great fun, she looks after everyone. A comfortable & quaint family and dog friendly pub! Highly recommend.

Fantastic home cooked food, really good size portions and definitely the cheapest price for eating out I have experienced in a long time, just shows that restaurants and pubs don't have to charge the prices they are and are ripping us off which is why is is so important to support places that offer good value and also excellent service like the George at Bilton!

Went for lunch today, had some lovely meals, had started eating one before could get photo! compliments to Steve and Dylan in the kitchen! Always a good place for food and drinks!!

Absolute shame to put it politely !!! been her a few times before has been acceptable. today however was an unwelcome experience with a cold over cooked triple roast dinner same as the burger and chips, after service absolutely shocking not so much as as an apology or even goodwill gesture of not charging for two drinks (pint of lemonade and double rum and coke) one drink of which wasn't even finished) the only reason I didn't walk out there an then was because my daughter had already eaten her burger and chips ( she was very hungry so could have fed her anything and she'd have devoured it so doesn't reflect the quality of food as it was still poor) all in all terrible meal waste of my money and a Sunday evening with family and zero after service and just lack of accountability for this shambolic endeavour. Advice point : AVOID THE GEORGE !!!! plenty of other places around rugby for a descent roast dinner. And far better service deserves zero stars if at all possible but sadly not

Food was of very good quality and well presented . Staff very friendly and acccomodating despite us being a large party ranging in age from 6 months to 80 years old. Will definitely use this pub again.

We try to have our lunch, and they refuse us because the kitchen is very busy, i mention they have plenty of table free.

Never eaten here, but often stop in for a drink when out for a walk. It's a great pub, with a good choice of drinks. They're always very welcoming and accommodating for the whole family. The outside sitting area is a very nice place to enjoy the sun with a cold drink on a sunny day.

The food was nice and piping hot, I went for the good traditional scampi, The service was superb by a nice lady called Ellen who looked after us well and was an example of how I like to be treated, polite, down to earth and nice and friendly, atmosphere only got 4 stars as it was early on a Monday evening and very quiet, normally there's a good buzz in there, it's a popular pub, for good reason....

Can’t fault The George. Traditional English pub with really friendly staff and great food. Recently booked a table for a family meal here (thoroughly recommend the chicken pie!) and have to say a big thanks to Steve, the chef, for making sure we were all catered for. Will definitely be back.

Do you know what? This place never fails to put good honest plates of food in front of you for a really competitive price. X4 of us Sunday lunch with drinks less than £100 versus, x2 of us Miller and Carter midweek plus drinks, north of £120. At last a pub that serves beer at the right temperature and can cook a steak properly. All at a reasonable price with helpful and friendly service. Coming from the Cotswolds were so often things are a triumph of form over content this pub was a breath of fresh air.

Such a warm welcome from the second we walk in. Very friendly and efficient staff, Jamie was waiting on our table and nothing was to much trouble for him. Lovely food cooked by Steve and jack. A wonderful evening for our whole party.

Such friendly and knowledgeable staff. The ales and craft beers have plenty of choice. After a couple of ales we sat down to an unbelievable meal. Starters were excellent, my wife's scampi okay but, the linguine was amazing. The presentation,quanity, quality and the taste was the best I have experience. Compliments to the chef.
