poor management and organisation. We went for my MIL birthday, were forgotten about for most of our meal, food was lacklustre or unavailable, food took a long time to come, and because of this we had no time to finish our drinks before being told we had to vacate our table. Food is overpriced for what it is, and safe to say I will not be recommending CVC to any friends, family or clients in the future.

I honestly can not remember the last time I went out for a meal and was utter blown away by the quality of it. I wouldn't in a million years have imagined that Rugby has one of the best restaurants in England. You can tell (and taste) how much love and respect the chef has for their trade. Please do yourself a favour and visit this restaurant.

Another superb meal, by far the best restaurant in Warwickshire and the local area.. I Cannot fault the service from Nicky, Anna and their team, nothing is too much trouble. Atmosphere relaxed, food and cocktails fantastic. What more could you ask for!

I asked for a double pink gin and lemonade (gordans) i was persuaded to try some type of strawberry gin, bill came along and it was £16! Double the price of the drink I originally asked for which i thought was rude to persuade me to have something else no where near the same price. My sisters duck was very overcooked and she did not enjoy it. Our meal came to around £140 (2 adults and one 12 year old) we shared a big starter had a main each, 2 alcoholic drinks and 1 coke. A tip of 10% was taken also! We didnt realise until we looked at receipt when got back! I believed tips were an optional thing and we would not of been leaving a tip this time. Also one of the staff were talking very loudly and seemed rather annoyed over some confusion of my daughter no longer attending. We were quite disappointed as this is a very special place to us as our Nan used to enjoy coming here with us before she passed :( However my pork belly was nice !

Exceptional customer service again from Nicky nothing and I mean nothing is too much trouble thank you. Jamie as always charming funny and professional thank you. Food as always superb we all thoroughly enjoyed all our meals. Our guests were really impressed with the balloons and banners for their special birthday. The calamari wasn't very fresh and tasted fishy and a little rubbery. The fish and chips batter was too thick for my liking. The crumble was nice. Overall it was average 2.5 out of 5.

We have eaten at CVC many times and always had a 5 star experience with them. Last month we chose to have our wedding with them and if I could give them more than 5 stars I would. The coordinators were there for me every step of the way, all the staff were so kind, friendly and helpful. The chefs are incredibly talented. The bar staff make beautiful drinks. Everyone just bent over backwards to make sure we had the most amazing, completely personalised day! Every single one of my guests said how impressed they were with the food (and some of them are hard to impress) Can’t thank them enough for such a special day. Highly recommend for meals out and events.

Really drab food. The pan seared chicken and double cooked chips were dry as bone. The best part of the meal was the complimentary pistachio bread served on arrival.

Arriving in Rugby and with having our hotel dinner reservation cancelled on us, we wanted a good restaurant in which to have a great meal. We found Cafe Vingt Cinq online, with great reviews (with fingers crossed we could get a last minute reservation). We secured a table and are so glad - our hotel had done us a big favour! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food is moderately expensive but well worth the money. Two slices of focaccia arrived, doused in olive oil and balsamic as an amuse bouche. We had the baked Camembert to start, which we shared. It was certainly enough for two with plenty of toasted sourdough bread. Our mains of chicken supreme with grain mustard sauce and duck breast with morello cherry sauce were delicious. I’m not a big eater but I finished the whole plate! Portions were generous; well cooked vegetables and my duck was cooked to perfection. We couldn’t manage a dessert but were soooo tempted. What a gem of a restaurant in Rugby. A bill of just under £100 included three large glasses of wine and a bottle of mineral water.

Our neice had her wedding celebration here. Meal on first floor, and then adjourned to the cocktail bar. Everything was great, food was nice and the service was first rate, pleasant, courteous and attentive. Thank you to Nikki and her team for making everything really pleasant and enjoyable.

Lovely restaurant, the atmosphere was so beautiful, food was amazing so much so I had a pudding and I am not one for sweets. Husband said the steak was proberly one of the best he has ever had. I know the menu is changing in May and if it is anywhere as nice as this one we will be back for more. Jamie and the team who looked after us so well did a great job.

We have seen this place on numerous occasions and it looks very inviting, so decided to go for a nice glass of wine and perus the menu for future reference. What can I say ? My daughter and I went to vin cinq for the steak and wine night last night, where she was treating me for my Mother’s Day present. It was all as fabulous as it always is . Lovely warm ambience and we were greeted and seated perfectly. The music was really good and added to the atmosphere. The staters were gorgeous she had the Camembert and I had the delicious fig and honey salad. The steak was cooked to perfection and the wine was as warm and syrupy. We had dessert too which were both divine. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience your service is second to none and you are always my favourite restaurant. We have had a wonderful evening at CVC’s Spanish night. Lovely food, Calamari for starters, with a tasty allioli. Paella full of chicken, huge prawns, mussels and seafood. Honestly this is the best restaraunt ever. The lamb shank was to die for, just in the sweet spot of falling off the bone and disintegrating.

Came here for an anniversary meal. Been here a few times so know what to expect and the place always delivers! Service, food and drinks are all great. Place is a little pricey but it's worth the money in terms of the quality. We ordered the duck pate and mushroom ravioloni for starters. The duck pate dish was exquisite and the flavours really complimented each other well. The pork belly for mains was divine and the crackling was to die for. Afterwards we went up to the cocktail by for an old fashioned. The choice of drinks was amazing and also a little overwhelming (there was at least 10 old fashioned's to choose from). The drink was amazing and you could really taste the different flavours compared to a standard old fashioned.

Blown away.! Returned after a short break, having been frequent patrons in the excellent Bar 25, for a pre-valentines dinner date. The service by Jaime and Erin was on par with the best we have ever experienced anywhere. The homemade focaccia was a much welcomed introduction, to what followed. I chose from the mid week set menu, which is very competitively priced, whilst my partner choose from the main menu when she spotted the Duck! The starters, main and dessert were excellent, along with the wine and coffee. A much welcomed return and our best experience yet.

I want to be as fair to this venue as I can ànd this was my first time eating here with friends after living in Rugby for over 20 years. Service and welcome were warm, professional and we were shown to our table downstairs. I forget the name of the young lady that served us but after placing the order we were told a few mins later that mussels were off the menu. Rookie error, should have known this before taking the order. Alternative was ordered. Starters came. And these were acceptable, if in my opinion a wee bit over priced. Mains came. I had crab and chilli linguine, my friends had salmon. Theirs was OK, mine was awful. Someone came to the table whilst I was taking my first bite and asked how the first mouthful was but before I could taste it, empty my mouth and tell him, he'd gone. I abandoned my main course. When asked by our server how we found the food I politely informed her mine was awful. She was mortified. Long story short, I give CVC a solid ten for the way they dealt with the issue and it is for that reason I will return and give them another opportunity to impress me. Pricey for a provincial restaurant but they have been in business many years so they must be doing something right! In summary, give this venue your patronage if you can but save up first as it's priced and pitched at a certain level if clientelle. If you want a good value, steak dinner go to Miller and Carter! Visited this place for the first time last night and have to say the service was really really poor from the second we walked through the door. Our table was booked for 7.45pm we didn’t get seated till 8.20pm and when the young girl seated us there was no apologies for waiting and she came across very blunt..the soup starter was lovely but the bread was a let down it was like cake and the bread with that brown sauce on ruins the bread it tasted pretty nasty,my friend liked the bread but said that the sauce ruined it. The bread to me just wasn’t very nice I make home made bread myself and this was pretty poor it tasted nothing like homemade bread. For the main I had a medium rare steak the steak was very raw inside you may aswell have just gave me a cow mooing and only the sides had been touched it was cold in the middle!! and warm on the outside (I ate it as I was so hungry I had been working all day and came straight home dressed and out again) but it had not been cooked properly to how I like it, I felt funny after eating the steak. The service was really poor one lad said to us “have you finished with that” nearly everybody spoke so lazy there was no professionalism. There was only one person who stood out as I overheard him serve another table and he was very welcoming and professional he was wearing all black and was also working on the bar he had dark blond ish hair and spoke gentle,I hope your paying him well because his manners etc is impeccable and he was very polite to us when he served us upstairs at the bar.

Staff are attentive, friendly and efficient. Chef Andrew is a Master. The Mussels were all cooked to perfection and the lamb succulent. Heading up the cocktail bar afterwards we were greeted to a fantastic vibe, excellent selection of music and the bartenders adjusted the cocktails to our needs. Anything off menu, simply ask and they will endeavour to make it a reality.

CVC have brought out a fixed price menu for the week, £32 for 3 courses or £26 for 2 courses. We went for a birthday and had great service and the food was fab. Lovely as always! Thanks CVC x

Best restaurant in Rugby and surrounding areas by far! We have been here for dinner last weekend and we could not fault it! Every detail, atmosphere, service and food was beyond imagination! They categorically serve the best steak in Warwickshire! Steak was cooked to absolute perfection and sauces absolutely delicious. The desserts aren't to be missed either as they were absolutely wonderful! Biggest compliments to the chef! Service is also worth a massive mention as they were all extremely attentive without being intrusive, nice and always there to look after us. An absolute gem of a restaurant in Warwickshire and if you have not yet been, please book a table and try for yourself :-) We cannot wait to return!

We went to Cafe Vin Cinq for my mums birthday where she was given a free glass of Prosecco to celebrate. The food was delicious! I had the scallops to start and the duck for main which was cooked to perfection. The staff were extremely attentive and very knowledgable on both the wine and the food. Good choice of wines and cocktails available.The restaurants itself is always so relaxing, we had a lovely table on the second floor. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Very reasonable prices for such high quality food and service- it is always our first choice when eating out in Rugby!

Terrible food, extremely overpriced and overrated in general. I ordered lamb and my husband ordered a duck and I swear we have been served totally raw meat. When I requested mine to be cooked better it went to the microwave for two minted and was served back to me still raw. Yes, they took us over £100 for the dinner but unfortunately, we won’t be going back, so lost us a regulars! Definitely no common sense of customer cues when it comes to food! Inside, nothing really special. I have booked a table on the second floor and when we entered we have been told only the first floor is open (it was Tuesday so not busy at all) but in this case just remove the option for the second floor. :) We ended up living the restaurant hungry and going somewhere else for dessert as I couldn’t risk the dessert disappointment there as well.

The new menu is superb. Plenty of options to choose from. The standard of the food was beautiful. It’s great to have such a fabulous little restaurant in our town.

Wonderful dinner!! Went for my dad's birthday meal and the server treated him with a glass of prosecco on the house. I had the duck liver pate to start which was okay, I wasn't too keen on the biscuit it came with. The lamb I had for mains was excellent, was a decent portion too. For dessert I had the stracciatella cheesecake and it was so creamy and delicious. The service was excellent and it was such a nice atmosphere, perfect for dates or family meals. Definitely a must try for anyone in Rugby.
