The William IV in Brent

Stayed 1 night to attend a wedding nearby. Lovely staff, super friendly and helpful. Supper was lovely and the pub is just a nice family type of place and as a solo traveller felt quite safe. Staff went out of their way to help with heavy case and taxi info. Well located for Paddington station. Nice clean room and only comment was that it was so very very hot but a fan was provided. d def stay again and recommend.

3 of us visited for lunch. The 2 veggies shared a plate of peppers and hummus with flatbread. The non-veggie had fish and chips. We all enjoyed the food and drink. They have a reasonable choice of beers and they really are open from 8.00am Our bill for the above plus chips, 2 pints of doombar, to halves of cider and a wine came to £60. Not bad for the location imo.

Really don’t understand the reviews. Tried the pub again after staying away for years as food was always poor. Reviews stated new ownership and good food so thought why not give them a try. Bland flavourless Sunday roast. Meat flavourless, veg tasted like it was just boiled, gravy like water. Food served in a bowl maybe because it was so watery? So disappointing as we live locally and just wish a good, tasty pub food restaurant would open?!!! Where have all the skilled chefs gone? Service good, seemed a bit stretched but very friendly, that’s the 2 stars.

Pub/restaurant anglais typique. Nous avons été très bien accueilli et servi. Les plats étaient très bons ainsi que les desserts. La serveuse super gentille et professionnelle. Le barman très sympa. Idéal pour un papa qui veux aller dans un pub et que sa famille préfèrent un restaurant... Le cadre est magnifique. On y retournera si l'occasion se présente.

Per il nostro viaggio a Londra abbiamo alloggiato in questa struttura. L'edificio è molto caratteristico e ci è piaciuto molto il fatto che le stanze fossero proprio sopra al pub omonimo, perché ci ha dato la sensazione di una gestione molto raccolta e tradizionale. La posizione è assolutamente strategica: il fatto che sia a pochi passi dalla stazione di Kensal Green (underground linea marrone e overground linea arancione) la rende perfetta per raggiungere i luoghi più belli della città, che peraltro si possono raggiungere anche a piedi, infatti camminando per una mezz'oretta verso sud si raggiunge Portobello. Il personale è gentilissimo e premuroso. Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto provare la loro colazione per dei lavori di ristrutturazione in corso nelle cucine, ma ci hanno fornito dei voucher da usare in una caffetteria vicinissima dove abbiamo fatto delle magnifiche colazioni. È un posto dove tornerei e che consiglio moltissimo, soprattutto ai giovani. Ospiti più adulti o anziani potrebbero trovare scomodo il fatto che non ci sia l'ascensore (com'è comprensibile che sia, vista l'architettura dell'edificio) e che il bagno sia un po' stretto, soprattutto il lavandino che era quasi impossibile da usare senza far uscire l'acqua fuori. Andrebbe decisamente cambiato. Per il resto, la stanza era deliziosa, intima ma spaziosa, pulita, con temperatura perfetta, luminosa, silenziosa. Bravi!

Stayed here for a couple of nights for a special weekend to see Bruce Springsteen. I am a young professional in my 50’s who has stayed in many places from top end to pleasant. Firstly May I point out it is very rare I feel the need to complain but this place and some of its staff need a little bit of a shake up. After a long journey I was greeted by a pleasant man who booked us in efficiently. The bar was empty with one other member of staff there. Pointed in the direction of the stairs we arrived to the room through many corridors. To the point, whilst I’m sure this large building was beautiful in its hay day it’s in need of a serious clean and refurb (it states on the website it has had a refurb but apart from the wallpaper I could not see where) the rooms are more in line of a hostel and the bed was appalling. By this I mean a terrible aged very thin mattress with the springs coming through. We had to move the mattress onto the floor and sleep on the floor. The walls had marks on them throughout the building, the carpets throughout are dirty , the toilet roll holder was hanging off and the overall room was shabby. I returned to reception ..and this is where experience or lack of is put to the test. The male stated he could do nothing more as the boss was unreachable (unlikely) and it wasn’t in his pay scale to offer me a refund (this was a first for me to hear this one) we went back and forth as I tried to find other accommodation more suitable but it was late Friday night and we had been travelling from 530am. Apart from a mattress topper he stated he could do nothing else. Whilst my partner and I continued to look for accommodation I heard the female (you’d think they would take the conversation else where and not in hearing of the customer ) asking ‘what did they say ‘ to which he relayed the story to her. From then on the staff took offence that we dared to complain. This is not a professional reaction. This is the same unprofessional and rude female the night we had returned after a fantastic evening where my partner asked her for some water to take to the room but could not understand my partners accent so my partner spoke to the other staff member requesting the same but the other lady commented ‘you can speak to me I’m right here’ how dare she speak to a customer like that. I suggest some training in etiquette and maturity around customer service is provided to the staff as there lack of customer care continued throughout our stay. The website and instagram are generous to say the least. The bar was empty for the 2 days we were there and it is clear this place is surviving on the accommodation and a private event room. Not recommended , extremely disappointed and would have left upon arrival but the person who I spoke to stated he couldn’t guarantee a refund. Unacceptable and would not recommend

I stumbled upon this new-to-me pub and, after pleasant service, took my well presented real ale into the garden at the rear of the pub... I bet there have been many good times had out there with its covered and open air tables, swing chair and barbecue area. It'll never be a local for me but I'll defo go out of my way to visit again.

Stayed here for 3 nights, room great, balcony great and the breakfast was delicious. Definitely stay here again

We chose this venue for its location and good buffet menu. The event was professionally organised by the relevant staff who were polite and helpful leading up to the day. They replied promptly to my initial request and were able to cater for various food intolerances. We had approximately 70 people attending and everyone commented on the great buffet and the ambiance. I would highly recommend the William IV for this or any other function.

We booked the private room for our NHS staff Christmas Dinner/Party. Nothing but good things to say about the venue and service. My team had a brilliant time and are already talking about booking for 2023. The staff at the venue were super flexible and accommodating for a gathering of 30+ people. Thank you

The food this pub serves is absolutely exquisite (we had the duck breast, scallops and beef tartare) - the best pub food we have ever had. The pub itself is beautiful and cosy. We would 100% recommend!

Lovely beer selection - the local Shere drop is fabulous. And now amazing pizzas by a very nice Italian guy. Best pizza I have ever had. All the ingredients from Napoli. Had the most enjoyable Sunday lunch with my family today! I have been to William IV previously for drinks only, but have never eaten there. Today 5 of us visited for Sunday roast and had such a lovely relaxing couple of hours there. The food (we had 4 porchetta roasts and a chicken roast) was absolutely sublime! The service was friendly and flawless, thank you so much! Extra thanks extended to the great pianist who entertained us with his music! Overall experience was so much more than I anticipated and we will definitely become regulars!

We stayed for a night and all the staff were friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options.

Returned to the William IV and was super happy to see how good the food was. Definitely a good spot in the Kensal area.

We stayed here for 4 nights for a family wedding, the staff were very friendly and helpful despite us taking over the rooms! We had the wedding breakfast there, and they allowed us a whole day to prepare the room and let us move everything around- we also made a lot of mess. We had children, elderly and disabled and nothing was too much trouble. The William IV is a relaxing space, great food and a nice vibe. I am sad to be leaving! Special shout out to Diogo, Vincent and Lily (probably spelt wrong) you are all amazing and a great laugh! Would definitely stay again when I visit my sister next, and come for dinner!

Was there tonight, staff smashing bottles into the bin, atttuuide of one staff member got our friends back up. Draft beer awful and no snacks apart from peanut. I seen this pub in many stages, I'm. 50 now and had my 40th there. It just will stya empty and keep having to re invent it self, no matter how much u dress it up You still haven't got it right, last time. I go there

The William IV has been sensitively renovated to create a wonderful, open, airy feeling... with comfortable seating and an ambience that makes you immediately relax. The outdoor dining areas are covered and heated... a real bonus in these times! Service was excellent and frequent... and food was superb. I’ll be back soon!

Lovely pub, first time, had heard of it. Spacious, well decorated & xmasy, warm/comfortable temperature. Good simple affordable pub food with a twist. And look forward to using the spacious garden starting spring!

I booked the Williams for my sons birthday/ christening in the function room. Very ideal due to the current situation that were all experiencing. They were extremely helpful, food and hospitality were amazing. Extremely attentive. I've been coming here for over 10 years now. The new and improved management are lovely.

Vive bastante localmente y decidí entrar, ya que el pub siempre se ve muy bien desde afuera. ¡Qué hallazgo! Pub encantador con una decoración acogedora, chimeneas adecuadas, ambiente decente, bonitas habitaciones privadas y una gran área al aire libre. La comida era excelente y muy buena relación calidad-precio, más como comida de restaurante de alta gama que comida de pub. Me encantaron las croquetas, el cordero principal (bolas de arancini ¡Dios mío!) Y los ñoquis y el pudín de chocolate estaba fuera de este mundo. ¡Ya estoy reservando mi comida de Navidad! Muy grande, por lo que sería bueno para todo tipo de grupos: una buena mezcla de amigos, familias y parejas. No puedo esperar a volver

Viviendo cerca, he estado en este pub varias veces, pero ayer fue la primera vez que la gerencia trajo el nuevo chef y menú. La comida era espectacular y ahora está por encima de la comida de pub, más en línea con la de un restaurante de primer nivel de Londres ya un precio muy razonable. Obtén el plato principal de paleta de cordero o pastel de pollo: ¡DIVINO! ! ! Bien hecho William IV. El servicio fue excelente, como siempre.

William IV es un pub elegante en la parte de Kensal Green / Kensal Rise de Harrow Road. Tiene un patio decente en la parte de atrás donde yo y un amigo tomamos cerveza, vino, comida y una buena charla; pudimos hablar a un volumen normal ya que la música de fondo estaba a un volumen discreto y bajo.Tuve una hamburguesa Halloumi muy sabrosa con papas fritas y 2 pintas de cerveza Camden Hells.Estoy muy contento de encontrar este lugar, ya que es realmente acogedor y es un agradable contraste con lo que se ofrece estos días en el cercano Queens Park.Definitivamente regresaré de nuevo.Gracias William IV

Lovely beer garden, very helpful staff, excellent food (we had the sandwich buffet). The perfect venue to cheer us up after a funeral.

We had an excellent meal after lockdown. We were reassured by the precautions being taken and the outdoor dining space is lovely. The food was excellent and the chef very kindly checked the children’s orders with us to ensure they were correct.

I organise an event to celebrate my cousin's birthday in March, and I have no regrets to choose this place !!!The staff has been great, really friendly and helpful. The buffet menu was stunning and we had a nice range of wine bottles.I definitely recommend this place if you're looking to host an event. Thank you guys, we will be back soon !!

My local pub, I've been there a few times before the lockdow and enjoyed my last Sunday there too. Staff was very kind as usual and the food was great as usual too.Good to see that they are taking the cover situation very serious as no one is allowed in the pub without masks on. Nice and cosy tables at their garden where they also have a cocktail bar.Can't wait till the weekend so I can chill there again

Last weekend I Went there for a pint with friends and I had great times. Nice and helpful staff, great food and nice atmosphere. Highly recommended

We booked a private area for a wake and the staff were so rude. Firstly the draft beer was awful, it is very clear the beer lines had not been cleaned in quite a while. Secondly, the staff were very rude when we addressed this. We had the event catered for by the pub and the food was average at best, very basic sandwiches. Not worth the price and I would not recommend this business and I hope you do not ever have to deal with their rude staff.

Upon arrival at our reserved time, there was no one to meet us and we stood around for 10mins as we waited to be seated. We had booked the pub for a funeral wake and ordered tea, coffee and sandwiches. The sandwiches were unsatisfactory, the beer was cloudy (and I had ordered an Estralla not a cider) so this means the beer lines were not cleaned, the staff were rude upon hearing this, almost looking at us as if we were in the wrong. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment, I would suggest going 10 metres down the road at a much better pub The Mason Arms

We were served by very unprofessional staff who were nothing but rude to myself and my family. We had a private area booked and I wish we had gone elsewhere. The sandwiches were stale and the beer was undrinkable. This establishment needs to clean there beer lines as the pint I ordered had to be sent back, it was so cloudy and the beer was obviously stale. We were faced with a lot of push back when we raised the fact that the beer was undrinkable. The staff were very unfriendly considering the price we were paying.

Had to arrange a wake after the funeral of my brother earlier in the month. The pub could not do enough. Staff were attentive and food was fab. Thanks for making things easier for us on the day.

Bit of a hidden gem. Just eaten some beef cheeks with truffle mash and carrots and it's the best meal I've had in a long time, and I do eat out a bit. Fantastic, good price too. Slightly quirky but I like it that way. Very friendly staff. Rooms are fine but not top notch. Well recommended.

Throughout a 40 year business career I’ve travelled the globe and eaten in some great dining rooms - from the Ritz in London to cafes in Patagonia and Afghani grills in Hackney, from the best Spain has to offer to the delights of rural France. I cook a lot. I know about food and I’ve never written a review about anywhere until this evening.

Last week we celebrated a very close friend of mine's life at the William IV pub.

We booked this as we needed to be quite near this location.

Really quiet today but still really pleasant.

My second Sunday lunch here, and this time we had the Sunday Platter between 4, it was Amazing, with a whole succulent chicken, lots of roast beef, Yorkshire puds , masses of lovely veg, roast potatoes and delicious gravy. And lots to take home, all packaged up in foil for us. The service was outstanding, and a beautiful pub to relax in, we will be returning and telling friends about. A big thank for a wonderful meal.

My husband and I recieved a very warm welcome from all of the staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was tastefuly decorated in a contempory/cosy style throughout and perfectly located near to the tube. We were visiting family in the area,so great for accommodating extra guests. Can't wait to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality. 10/10.

Returned to this pub after many years as heard it was under new management. I went with my son and his wife. We were not disappointed, the Sunday roast was Amazing, with large helpings, huge Yorkshire puds, loads of veg and lovely hot gravy. The Chorizo starter was gorgeous, and the deserts yummy. The staff friendly and helpful, and we will be returning and will recommend this lovely pub to our friends and family.

Just had dinner with friends at the William. Really perfect pub menu - I wanted everything! We were all really pleased with our food and will go back soon!

It's my fourth visit since the pub reopened in late January, and as the pub is increasingly becoming a unique fixture in the area where other pubs tend to be past their prime.

I went to this pub a few times with my friends/family since it re-opened in December and it is my new favourite pub! Perfect place for drinks on Saturday and for a Sunday roast. The venue is really nice with the big wooden tables and I love having a drink on the comfy sofas.

Mis padres y yo nos adentramos en William IV en una fría mañana de invierno. No conociendo el área y visitando desde Australia, nos dieron una cálida bienvenida. A pesar de que estaban en pleno proceso de renovación, nos prepararon un desayuno increíble. . . . . Creo que podemos haber sido sus primeros clientes de desayuno. Delicioso café para mí, desayuno inglés y té de manzanilla para mis padres. Recomiendo encarecidamente este pub, muchas gracias al gerente y al personal por nuestra maravillosa experiencia.

Vivimos localmente y queríamos mucho apoyar el pub, ya que estaba bajo una nueva administración. Lamentablemente no se cumplió en ningún nivel. Carecía de ambiente (y nunca solía retroceder en el día), las mesas estaban abarrotadas y estaban demasiado cerca unas de otras, el servicio era terrible y la comida estaba por debajo de los estándares. . . . Me siento triste al escribir esto ya que teníamos grandes esperanzas. Pero necesita mucha mejora antes de volver.

The WIlliams is under new management and the menu has a varied selection of interesting dishes. We enjoyed our food, thoroughly and the service was excellent, Staff were professional and friendly. The portions were excellent and the flavours were rich, fresh ingredients and great ambiance.

Dalle 5 in poi bisogna chiamare un numero. Per entare e uscire ci sono continui codici alle porte. Un pò strano. Non lo riproverei di sicuro

Decidió "no rompa el banco" ultimo minuto en Londres. Encontramos este hotel en google y decidí darle una oportunidad.

He vivido en el área por 20 años y hemos estado en este pub muchas veces en sus diversas fases. Ahora ha sido tomada por 'Rhiad Lounge' y han sido completamente arruinado. Alquilamos el espacio para un evento recientemente. Los propietarios son groseros y agresivos. Realmente la gente desagradable. El lugar está sucio. Ni siquiera tienen un limpiador! La comida es asquerosa, la cocina sin fallar cualquier inspección de salud y seguridad y los baños dan asco. La gente que maneja el local son para timarte de cualquier manera que puedan. Evitar a toda costa.

Fui con mi novia a visitar algunos familiares y decidimos reservar una habitación para 2 noches. Gracias a Dios porque fue uno de los mejores lugares en los que me he alojado por un largo tiempo. Precio asequible y teniendo en cuenta que había 5 personas la habitación era increíblemente espaciosa!

Reservamos una noche aquí con el AH para una noche en Londres. No tan cerca como el agente de reserva dijo, pero es bastante fácil llegar desde la estación de kensal green (no los 5 minutos dice que andando!). No puedo quejarme, el personal era amable y la habitación estaba limpia. Parecía ser 2 partes reservado para el sábado por la noche, que continuó hasta las 2 de la madrugada. No hay nada peor mencionar aparte del ruido normal que cabe esperar de un pub. Si reserva para paz y tranquilidad, no creo que este sería el lugar ideal para que todas las cosas consideradas. El desayuno estaba incluido. Selección continental era abundante y fresca. Valió la pena el precio reducido que pagamos, pero sin duda demasiado caro el precio normal.

Me quedé en la habitación 12, que era moodily decoradas y bien equipadas incluyendo tener su propio espacio exterior con vistas a un lugar espléndido cementerio. Este lugar es una excelente relación calidad-precio y muy recomendable.

Me fui a La reasonly William IV por una llamada. Fue un gran lugar para celebrar mis amigos la vida. Ellos no eran bastante perpared para la cantidad de gente que llegó. No nos tomamos un tiempo para ser servido ( un joven chico era...

Me había alquilado el ayuntamiento el 20 de diciembre para una fiesta y me dijeron que me hubiera tarifas especiales para la cena de Navidad. Durante mi grupo especial el servicio para la comida era pésimo. El personal no era capaz de hablar inglés y no parece haber muchos cucharas o tenazas para servir. Sin duda ningún lo suficientemente cerca para los diversos platos. Pedí 1/3 de la comida para 5 pm y 2/3 de la comida a las 7 de la tarde. Me dieron la orden de 5 pm a 6 pm los graves pero la comida de 7 pm nunca llega. Gracias a Dios un montón de personas no pudieron asistir de lo contrario me hubiera sido muy avergonzado por ella misma, especialmente ya que el personal no parecía capaz de darme comida más. Día de Navidad llegó y fue un desastre para algunas personas. Tenían bastante gracioso porque se hicieron en los menús. Tener lo solucionó el 3 lubina crudas en el interior. Mi nieta era tan envejecida y disgustada por esto que ella había absolutamente ninguna cena y Lloré mucho. Ella estaba muy decepcionado. Me ofrecieron una alternativa vegetariana pero tenía pastelería y estoy trigo gratis. El resto de mi familia estuvimos muy contentos con sus comidas. llamé por teléfono y me había hablado con Louise el Subdirector, al menos 12 veces por mi niño de 2 años mi nieta que necesiten productos lácteos gratis y era aseguró en cada ocasión en que ella sería sirve soya helado. El día no había nada y nos dijo que el chef no había escuchado sobre él y, por supuesto, nadie había oído hablar de los 3 campos por el precio de 2. En general no cabe duda de que no hacerlo otra vez y le aconsejo a nadie más que hacer lo mismo.

We had. A table booked for 3 pm here.Do not ever eat your christmas lunch. we had to wait an hour and 45 mins for no starters eventually 5 out of 15 starters appeared, that we didnt ask for.(the duck liver parfait)Which was disguisting.Then the rest of us didnt get any starters. We were left hungry not even any bread until we asked for it. The turkey was served at 5 15 pan fried tough swimming in gravy no sprouts no cranberry sause, 2 miserable potatoes each. The skinny carrot was raw, and the parsnip was wafer thin. Also they did not cater for the non dairy guest. Overall it was a shambles we went home and Had something at home. It was thirty pounds a head excluding the wine. I DO ŃOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EAT HERE AGAIN EVER the while family was upset and hungry.

Coming back to the UKfor a holiday, and staying around the corner from the William IV, I was looking forward to Sunday Lunch, and I was not disappointed.Living in a country (Thailand) that does not have a tradition of eating lamb, I was glad to see that roast lamb was on the menu, and it was deliciousThe roast potatoes, parsnips, and even the broccoli were cooked to perfection.Just a bit disappointed that the dessert list did not have a traditional Sunday lunch pudding, such as a crumble to a pie with custard, but my pancakes with berries was very nice

ate here due to staying as a guest, food was brilliant and steak was cooked to perfection.Did get a discount for being a guest but normal prices are really reasonable for the food.

My auntie booked myself and my sister in to stay here as overflow from her own house on Saturday 7th December and she specifically booked room 1 for us as there was a double and a single so we didn't need to share a bed and it was on the second floor as she knew there was loud music in the pub below until 2am. Earlier on Saturday she attempted to check us in but was told she wasn't allowed as they'd need to see us (fair enough). After a long day of a family Christmas party, my sister and I arrived around 11:30pm and rang the bell as directed, no one answered. There was an almighty loud party going on in the pub so we asked one of the bouncers how we could check in. They directed us in and we were shown to our room, number 13, directly above the party and I'm pretty sure, the DJ. The lady told us it would be "a little noisy until 2am" and left. A little noisy was an understatement. We only had a double, the springs had gone in the mattress so I had a hole my side and my sister had springs poking in her back. The noise was unreal and the whole room was vibrating. Our window was directly above the door to the party so it was constantly being used by smokers and the window shook each time it closed. The main door into the B and B section of the pub did not have a slow closing mechanism so that slammed every half an hour too. When the music eventually finished at 2am people left shouting and swearing and it didn't go quiet until 3am. So eventually we got some sleep until a couple of guys decided at 8am to have a chat right outside our room. Seems the walls were made of paper. We hastily got showered and dressed and enjoyed a stale croissant and left. This B and B should only allow the rooms on the first floor to be booked by the party goers as there is NO WAY you can sleep in there until the music stops. A couple of pairs of ear plugs wouldn't have gone a miss. We paid £70 for a triple room on the second floor and we certainly did not get what we paid for. Would not recommend EVER!

What has happened to this place? Used to have great tapas and now has little to offer and certainly no tapas. Went for Sun lunch and sadly disappointed with the quality and quantity on offer. And extremely disappointed by the rude and indifferent staff. Also met a friend here on a 2nd occasion for drinks and couldn't find a place in the bar which didn't require shouting to make ourselves heard - had to go outside to the back garden and sit under a heater. After 20 mins the music was pumped outside so we had to drink up and go. Asked for music to be turned down but staff shrugged.This bar/restaurant used to be fantastic but has sadly declined and is more intent on pulling in clubbers on a weekend. Couple of locals I met have said they have given up on this bar - I have too.

Enjoyed having meals at the gorgeous traditional English pub, the ambiance enhanced by the lovely staff made it an amazing experience. I can't recommend this place enough. Try it!

Arriviamo di fronte all albergo alle 3 di notte...il caro preoccupato tassista ci dice "Siete sicure che sia questo il vostro albergo???" Noi effettivamente perplesse lasciamo il taxi e ci ritroviamo di fronte a questo edificio che ricorda un po la casa del Fantasmino Casper, in una via completamente deserta!Non ci demoralizziamo, entriamo e raggiungiamo la nostra stanza...una camera ampia e veramente molto carina in classico stile inglese. Ovviamente moquette ovunque, ma cosa sarebbe Londra senza moquette!La mattina dopo anche l'esterno dell'albergo non sembra più così tetro, anzi molto caratteristico!La colazione viene servita giù da basso, nei locali del pub sottostante...bellissimo!Se non fosse stato per il letto scomodissimo tutto sarebbe stato perfetto.Dista un po dal centro, ma è a pochi passi dalla metro che porta direttamente a Piccadilly.NON MALE.

We booked the function room for a birthday party. We had to pay £250 deposit which we would receive back on £1,000 spend - fine we thought. We thought we would easily reach £750 so anything short of that, we would make up by buying drinks on the night. However, during the evening, the management would not let us know how much we had spent despite repeated requests - this would of given us the option of making it up to £1000 if we were short; what's the point in not spending it if you're going to lose the deposit anyway. Anyway, this underhand tactic really spoilt what might have been a decent night. They also, mentioned they could plumb in the music from the DJ to the function room...there was no DJ and they didn't have the right cable anyway - had to quickly arrange our own music. After the function they were very slow and responding to our complaints about the deposit. After some time they told us we had spent exactly £750..hmmmm. Wouldn't recommend this place anyway, vibe was not great and the place smelt a bit - I reckon it will be in new management or close down within a year of this post.

Pleasant seating out back but had to ask the server to wipe off the very dirty table - & then she put paper napkins on the wet table.Ordered a tomato salad but not available - out of buffalo mozz. The mixed green salad (not on menu) offered was an OK substitute. The ever friendly server brought out olives & pitas which we hadn't ordered and offered them at no charge because she said the food would be delayed. Had bangers & mash. The mash could have been packaged it was so smooth & whipped. But must say the sausages were nice as was the onion gravy. It fulfilled our comfort food craving.The whole place has a "down at the heels" vibe which is too bad as it's well located and the patio out back could be really really nice with just a little fixing up.This will stay on our last resort list because it's so close by for us.

When booking it looked amazing, and for the price we snapped up the King Size En-Suite. But on arrival we actually walked past it because it looked closed, however, at night it really comes alive. The staff were far from friendly and the continental breakfast was nothing to shout about, but the room was lovely and on the whole it's ok for one night but I will be looking around more next time.

My colleagues and I work for a local, relatively small charity. We decided to go here to celebrate the refurbishment and re-opening of our Community Centre on Dalgarno Way. Admir the Manager was very hospitable, provided excellent service and looked after us really well. Good night, good music - we'll definitely be going back.

Schon bei der Buchung gab es ein Probem, da uns der Betrag doppelt abgezogen wurde, wir haben aber nur eine Reservierungsbestätigung bekommen. Eine Woche später noch keine Rücküberweisung, jetzt wird behauptet, wir hätten 2 Zimmer in Anspruch genommen, obwohl der Mitarbeiter, der sehr freundlich war, uns beim Check-In gefragt hat. Wir haben ihn aufgeklärt & er gesagt, dass er Umbucht. Offensichtlich ist das nícht geschehen. Das Zimemr an sich war ganz schön, der Teppichboden an einigen Stellen klebrig & die Matratze sehr durchgelegen. Am ersten Morgen sind wir zum Frühstücken gegangen, wo uns die Lust zum Essen aber recht schnell verging - der Muffin auf dem Teller war schimmlig. Wir haben daraufhin das Frühstück nicht mehr in Anspruch genommen & auch sonst nichts gegessen. Der Barbereich sieht gut aus & es klang auch so als ob die Abende dort spaßig sind, wir waren aber zu kaputt um noch groß zu feiern.Ein Plus war das nette Personal & das liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer. Das Bad war klein, aber in Ordnung.

What has happened to the amazing Sunday roast lunches???!!!. Went with a couple of friends to grab a light bite. Haloumi salad, comprises of two tiny cold slithers on a pile of iceberg lettuce at £7,50, thats it. No atmosphere , so sadly won't be back.

The music does not stop here until 2 am. There is no sound insulation in the windows so you can hear everything that happens on what is a busy street. You can hear all conversations in the corridoor. If you can sleep in a nightclub then go ahead! Oh, one last thing, the place is undergoing refurbishment. Fire doors are wedged open (illegal?) nd there is a smell of fumes....

I like the place, it has atmosphere and in general friendly staff. But the food can be either really good, or nothing to write home about. Which is a big pity. It has changed hands a number of times, so I am never sure what one will find and who will be running it. Still is is worth a meal out.

I couldn't believe my luck when we stumbled on this pub the price was very cheep ESP for London I have paid much more for less outside of London . I stayed on a Friday night and found the bar is lively with good Dj I was meeting friends that night but we stayed there and had a great time. It says it can be lively on weekends but I found the room I was in (room 6) quiet . If you get this room it's great as it's in the roof space and has big velux windows and far enough away from any noise . Have tried to book in here recently but to no joy they are always booked up . Guess others have found out what good value it is.

I had Tapas here last Saturday with the girls and a boogie after! The food was amazing especially the chicken livers..beautifully presented and very tasty. The staff weren't too attentive(which i hate) and very friendly .

The William IV has recently added 6 guest rooms to their establishment, one of which I stayed in last week. The room was lovely, with really nice decor and very spacious. It was extremely clean. Since the rooms are relatively new, there are definitely a few gaps in thinking though. For example, there were only two pillows (small) on the 'luxurious' bed, there was no bath mat, and one of the lamps had a European plug with no way of plugging it in. Also no complementary bottled water which in London is a necessity for a reasonably expensive hotel. Apart from small quibbles which I hope they'll fix in due course and are just teething problems, the room was lovely. The pub itself is really special with great food and really sweet staff. My final problem was that the room was extremely hot. The downstairs pub has air-con on to the max, but the room was baking all night. This meant we slept with the window open and had the roar of the traffic from the very busy road outside. The rooms which face the back get the noise of the pub garden which can be very busy. So, some air con on a hot summer's night would be appreciated. Breakfast good, and otherwise a good stay.

Fantastic tapas, good wine and nice staff, but just a little rough around the edges (otherwise would have been 5 stars). Lovely outdoor dining area. Will definitely go again.
